Flash Version Issue

Greetings All. I have Flash 10.0.45 installed on my system but the kuler website tells me I need Flash 10.0.12 or better. I've deleted my browser cache and even rebooted my system. My package manager even verifies that Flash 10.0.45 is in fact installed. Any ideas how to get this to work? I built several color schemes last week with no problems. Now I can't even get to them.

Right-clicking on a flash animation showed "About Flash 9x" and set me on the course to figure out what was going on.
Firefox Tools>Add-ons>Plugins showed Shockwave Flash version 9x even after installing 10x
in Adept (Kubuntu Hardy Package Manager)
     purged flash-plugin-nonfree
     purged adobe-flashplugin
     reinstalled adobe-flashplugin
Shockwave Flash version is now 10.0.45.x and the kuler site works again.

  • Adobe Flash Version issues

    Hi Adobe team,
We are using FlashCS4, CS5.0, CS5.5 and CS6 for our team. While working we have been experiencing some issues as noted below:
    1. File Save As CS6 to 5.5>5.0>4
    2. Audio files dont get imported (all versions)
    3. When we save as to lower version audio directly removes from the Flash file (all versions)
    4. Software directly close problem (all versions)
Look forward to your support at the earliest.

Here's a link to help with your audio problems.
    http://www.theflashstudio.net/basics/_tuts/sounds.php#envelope
Some imported files just won't play. For these, you'll have to convert them.
I believe I did this using CS5.5 Adobe Media Encoder and it worked quite well. Just remember that, at times, the file doesn't appear to "synch" correctly at runtime because Flash bases playback on the Audio portion and not the Video part of an animation.
I hope this helps your situation (or at least the audio portion). Good luck!
    Mike

  • I have Firefox 3.6 on laptop and if I install the latest version of Adobe flash (version 10...) then if I go to a website with any sort of animation, firefox crashes immediately

I am not at my computer right now but I have Firefox version 3.6 (not 4). When I install the latest Adobe flash (version 10.something), my computer crashes whenever I go to any website with any form of information or data that requires the Adobe flash. For the past 2 weeks, I have been sending in the crash reports to Mozilla.

As of Firefox 4.0 and newer the Firefox builds from Mozilla requires both Mac OSX 10.'''5'''+ and a Intel.
Either you can use 3.6.19 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Though for you 3.6.18 will be safe also as 3.6.19 was to workaround a font crashing issue on 10.7 Lion that was not fixed in time on Lion before release. http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.18/mac/ and pick your language and download the Firefox 3.6.18.dmg

  • IE 9 hang on latest Flash version 11.5.502.110. Working on beta 11.5.500.104...

    Hi,
I have the same issue on my new three machines. Clean Windows 7 32bit OS with latest SP and IE9 (lastest updates). Adobe Reader, Flash, Shockwave, AIR, QT, RealPlayer, Java 7.
When running webpages on Admin local account everything works fine. When I switch do any domain account IE 9 hangs.
I've tried the same on flash version 11.5.500.104 (older) and everything was working fine (I test this many times now). Any ideas how to fix this problem?
    Regards,
    Update....
Even on local accounts flash is hanging IE. The same on machine not binded to domain.
I'm going to install fresh Windows 7 with latest MS updates, IE 9 and only with flash to check this issue.

    hello Chris,
i wanted to chip in as i have been experiencing issues on my machine as well with IE9 since i think, the last update.
actually i noticed that www.speedtest.net was not working anymore on IE9, i sent an email to their support but now the issue is with flash. the website works OK with chrome and firefox.
    things i tried (admin account):
    - uninstall flash completely with uninstall_flash_player.exe and also with the add/remove programs, nothing happened
    - reinstalled install_flash_player_11_active_x.exe, nothing changed
    - resetted IE9 to default with the "Reset Internet Explorer Settings" somebody suggested
    - after using the uninstall file, i cleaned my registry
    - deleted "Flash" folder under %appdata%\Adobe and %appdata%\Macromedia
i ran the uninstall file several files, then restarted and reinstalled, what happens is that Chrome always works (as flash is built-in), Firefox works when the plugin is installed (correctly), but nothing anymore in IE9.
the strange thing is that it was always working fine, i cant tell what happened, probably when i upgraded flash to the latest version.
when i reinstall flash, if i open this http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html with either chrome and firefox, they correctly populate the version number. with IE, the box at the top remains grey (no errors reported), and the other section is empty as well.
    My PC
    Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit
    IE9
    Firefox 17.0.1
    Chrome 23.0.1271.95
i am glad is a global issue and not related with my PC as i just spent 2 hours on this.
    thanks

  • Which flash version is compatible/where do I get it?

Which flash version is compatible with my laptop? Where can I get it?
I have recently restored to factory settings and am not able to play "Gemcraft-Chasing Shadows" although I was ok. It gives the message that it may have stopped working etc.
Please help. That game kept me sane.
    System is:
    *Vista
    *32bit OS
    *celeron 900 processor (2.19 ghz)
    *1 g RAM
    Thanks folks.

You should always use the latest Flash Player.
The following troubleshooting guide might help -- in particular, check out the stuff about disabling Hardware Acceleration:
    Video playback issues
If that works, and you haven't downloaded the latest drivers for your graphics hardware, I'd do that and then enable hardware acceleration again.

  • Installing Flash Player Issues

I have a Windows 8 Operating Sysytem and I use IE version 8. I have downloaded the latest flash player numerous times and it continues not to work. So can someone please help me install it?????? Thanks in advance

If you have Windows 8, you CANNOT use IE 8, because Windows 8 comes with IE 10 preinstalled and it WON'T accept a lower version.
In addition, Flash Player for IE in Windows 8 is modified and embedded by Microsoft. It's "their baby" so to speak. It can ONLY be updated through Windows Update (in your Control Panel under System and Security).
Microsoft released a "Tuesday patch" November 12 to update Flash Player for IE10 and IE11 in Windows 8 and 8.1.
If you run the update and still have problems, see: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html for more steps to take.

    Good day!
I can not find a Flash version of the BIOS for HP Pavilion tx1320er.
I can not start the laptop black screen at startup, all the LEDs are lit, read this bill is that it is written bios. P.S. I write a google transleyt sorry for the errors of translation.

    Hello,
What does "I tried the apt version of which doesn't download," mean? Are you trying to download from get.adobe.com/flashplayer or from Ubuntu's Update Manager?
BTW, I deleted your other thread.  Posting the same topic in multiple threads doesn't help your issue get answered quicker and does lead to confusion in responding to two different threads.

  • Would flash player issues cahnge desktop icons?

I'm starting a seperate discussion on this issue as it is truly different than my other postings
    I use Vista Home premium
I have many icons on my desk top, mostly shortcuts to program. Yesterday I had to reboot several times when trying to update to ne flash player.
Then upon one reboot, I noticed that some, just like 3, Icons changed.
    Example
icon for the shortcut to itunes looked like the icon picture for the game dinerdash
icon for shortcut to the game Bakerydash looked like the icon for spider solitaire
now when I would right click on these shortcuts, they would show the proper data for the shortcut they truely were Whe I would right click on the icon and then select change icon, the only option there was the actual correct icon. I'd hit apply, but it did not good.
I ran virus/spyware scans and all were clean.
Could it be because of flash player issues? or because  I had rebooted several times in a row and did not allow the system to fully reboot before trying the next reboot??
Like I would reboot and then 7 minutes later reboot again. Could that cause the icons to screw up a little?

I don't know what changed the desktop icons, but it is one of these things that just happen sometimes.
Windows XP had a great tool, TweakUI (from Windows Power Toys), that has a 'Repair Icons' function.  Microsoft never released a TweakUI version for Vista, but I know that a 3rd-party version of TweakUI for Vista can be found on the Internet (Google will find it for you).
I would try to use this to repair your desktop icons.
P.S. since this TweakUI is not a Microsoft tool, I recommend to make a System Restore point before running it; just in case...

  • Detect Flash version for executable

I am currently using Captivate v2.0, and created a training
simulation for a new piece of software we are developing. When I
published the standalone executable, I selected Flash Player 7.
For those that were using Flash 6, the first screen would
appear, but they were not able to continue. It took me awhile to
figure it out, but I upgraded them to the latest version, and it
worked. I know this question was posed in an earlier posting, but
the link used was dead and I am hoping someone can answer. Is there
a way where the tutorial can detect what version of Flash is
installed, and recommend the user to upgrade to a later version?
One exception to this situation is when a user was using
Flash 9, and I was still unable to get the tutorial to work. I
rebuilt the stand-alone executable with Flash version 6, and it
worked for her. We rebooted her computer, reinstalled version 9,
and tried the tutorial with the version 7 needed, and still no
    luck. Any ideas?
    Thank you for your help.
    Chas

    Hi Chas and Larry,
I also faced this issue once and then it figured that the
standalone created by Captivate is not *standalone*. It works like
a wrapper, which in turn will call the activeX controls installed
in the browser, however, if flash player is not installed as
activeX, then the EXE generated from Captivate will install this on
the users machine (it will install the version which is selected
    while creating that EXE).
Now here comes a problem, what happens if a user has a
previous version installed - In this case the EXE is not capable
enough to upgarde the flash player.
So there are two solutions you can opt for:
    1. somehow communicate that a certain version of flash player
is a must to have. OR
    2. modify the _skin file (or the playback controls), from the
template, use actionscript to find out which version is installed,
and perform operations based on that. (this was the approach which
    I took)
    Hope this Helps!

  • Is there a solution or work around for flash player issues?

Is there a solution, app or work around for flash player issues w/ iPad 2? Maybe even something in development?

Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so you could try checking there for your sites (and there is the built-in YouTube app). But flash itself is unlikely to ever be supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ , and Adobe have failed to create a version of flash that works on iOS
There is a search box on the right-hand side of this page for further info.

  • All flash versions after 9 stuttering.

As it says on the headline, all versions of flash 10 stutter for me, regardless of whether gpu acceleration is on or off. I have tried many versions up to the latest flash 10, and I'm still getting stuttering. I have always had this issue with these flash versions. This stuttering bug is only 100% reproducible with smooth, clear-lined flash animation (the kind you can zoom in indefinitely and not get jagged edges). Occasionally the bug is removed for two minutes and then it continues indefinitely. I'd really like to use flash 10, since I get better very much better performance with the gpu acceleration.
I believe that my specs should be quite sufficient:
    CPU: Q6700, overclocked to 3,6GHz
    RAM: 4GB DDR2-800MHz
    GPU: Asus EAH5830 1GB
    OS: Vista 32bit
Main browser: Firefox 4 (this happens also on (Opera 11.11 and IE9)
    Any help?

Thanks for the information. With Flash Player Installed correctly you shouldn't be having any problem with Flash Player. The fact that this is happening with all browsers and other Flash Player versions that you've tried, would indicate some common conflict/Setting. Is there any common addon in each of the browsers, perhaps an Anti-Virus addon? You could rule out Microsoft/Adobe addons.
RealPlayer/Skype addons conflict. Some Toolbars do also.
What happens on just a youtube video, using each broswer? Is there any difference if hardware acceleration is off or on?
Normally when there are video issues, turning off the hardware acceleration and updating the video card is suggested.
    Thanks,

  • Flash DVD issue

I've authored a simple, auto-start DVD. It burns to disk perfectly. When I try to build a Flash version, check program shows no issues. First play is set to Chapter 1 on the timeline, there are no menus, the flow chart looks hunky dory. When Encore builds the folder, clicking on index.html produces...nothing, just a blank window. I've made plenty of these before. Any ideas what's wrong with this one?

    >controls that appear at the bottom of the presentation can not be accessed
Does that mean you can't even SEE the controls at the bottom of the screen?
If yes, what is the screen resolution of the "bad" computers versus the "good" computers?

  • Problems with the new flash version.

Turned on my computer (win 7, ff5) and found that both skype and youtube are crippled.
After some digging, it becomes clear that there has been a new flash version and im far from the only one with problems. I try to use the uninstaller - which works suspiciously quickly- and reinstall. I get a message saying that its already installed. When i try through firefox direct, it says an existing version may be in use.
So either the uninstaller or the installer is broken.
When on youtube for example, it alternates between telling me i need to update the plugin and to download  from adobe. I have now done this several times, following the instructions. No suscess.
Have tried to change the hardware accelleration off, but as i cant see anything thats flash.... its not going well.

    Is your Win7 32-bit or 64-bit?
    What files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash (32-bit) / C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash (64-bit) ?

  • Flash Player Issue with Windows 8.1 Professional

    Hi guys,
I'm currently having issues with Flash Player on Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 8.1. It seems that the Flash Player has been disabled when I access http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html.
However, when I logged off the my domain account and use my local account, I'm able to test Flash Player.
Therefore, the only thing I can think of is the Group Policy that is blocking the Flash Player as I've resetted IE settings on my domain account.
Hopefully you guys are able to solve this mystery.
    Thanks!!

Go to control panel and go to program and features and uninstall existing adobe player
and adobe flash player activex both....
Then select windows 8 and flash player  from here http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
    Install and check..

  • LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES, version 8.2, and supported client Flash versions

    Hello,
We are running Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES, Version 8.2.
We have a couple users that connect through IE (version 7) to create fillable forms.
Our companies standard version of Adobe Flash is 10.x
When we upgraded to 10.x, the users could no longer open (convert) a pdf to be able to make it fillable.  The fix was to down grade the Flash version to version 9.
Is there a better fix for this, as I have another user that requires access to the LiveCycle server but is running Flash 10, yet I would prefer not to downgrade them to Flash 9.
Hopefully the above explanation makes sense, as I am technical support versus being a LiveCycle user.
    Thanks!
    Chris
