Flash video contains vertical lines when published

Hi, apologies if posted before, search didn't show much and
google seems a little thin on the grounds.
my problem arises from a CS3 .fla containing a default
flvplayback object to an .f4v.
This is connected to an h264 encoded video (.f4v). When I
preview/publish the video I get vertical lines spread through the
video (about 10 - 15 spread evenly). However when I play the video
using flvplayer or in flowplayer the vertical lines aren't present.
Would much appreciate any ideas as to why this is happening.
Thanks,
Paul

Unfortunately, I can't watch your video since I just have dial up. I am wondering if you could show it to the guys at the Apple Store.
Even better, can you make it happen consistently with a quicktime video? If so, that would be the time to show it to them. They have to see the problem in order to do anything about it. Sometimes electronic problems are intermittent, so they don't always show up for a test. For example, if the computer has been off and is cold, it might not show up a problem that normally occurs when it has been on all day. You may not have noticed any particular heat, but the computer will be hotter if it's been on all day. The problem could well be heat related--or be more likely to occur with intensive processor use.
Be aware that your replacement logic board also has the NVIDIA chip, and it's possible that your new chip is also defective.
Good luck!

One Flash CC project gets stuck when publishing in IOS. It will quickly publish as Android, and other projects will publish as IOS. Not sure what to change.

    Thanks for the info.
I've recently stumbled on an article on how to view the packaged file (apk) published using AIR 3.2 for Android setting (Adobe Flash CS6). All you need to do is change the extension of the file from (.apk) to (.rar) or (.zip) and extract the file as you would with any other zip or rar file. I was able to confirm that the packaged file (apk) indeed contain all the videos for the presentation. I have more than 80 videos in the presentation. All videos included in the package are of the same video format and resolution (FLV 320x240) but of different duration. I intentionally included the all the videos inside the package so I can use the presentation anywhere and anytime without the need to connect to the internet. The packaged apk file size is (1.23GB) the file includes the project's swf and xml file, the component swf and videos.
When installed to android I noticed that the package remained as an apk file. Not really sure if android temporarily unpacks it when you run the app.
    Testing phase:
I see no problem when I'm testing the project on my desktop computer. But when packaged and installed on my device the problem arise.
    Problem:
I'm able to install and run the app on my device but wont play some of the videos included in the package.
Was this due to the limited RAM or processor of my android device?
I wanted to distribute the presentation to friends so i was trying to package it for easy access and installation on their device.
    Alternative Solution:
I installed a third party app called SWF player by BIT LABS. Copied all the files to my device (the project's swf and component swf with the videos). The project worked like a charm the player (SWF player) and was able to run the presentation as if it was running of my desktop. All buttons and videos working properly. Although the alternative solution worked for me I still wanted to package the presentation for easy access and distribution to friends.
    Please help...Thanks in advance.

  • [LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw] only vertical lines when scanning, scanner broken?

Hi all! I have a problem with the scanner in my HP all in one. If I scan (using the printer function or apples ImageCapture: same result) the output is just a lot of vertical stripes (in colors when in color mode). Not a trace of the image I try to scan. The lines are there even if i scan an empty white page. I see the stripes both when doing a preview scan and an actual scan. The problems are very similar regardless of if I use the flatbed or the feeder scanner (they are separate scanner hardware, yes?). I have updated to the latest software for the printer/scanner and I am connecting over bonjour via wireless. I am on Os X 10.9.1. Anybody having similar problems or is my scanner just plain broken? Thanks in advance!Jon

, , I understand that both of you are seeing vertical lines when scanning from your Laserjet M276nw. First, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Now, so I know where to begin I'd need to know the following:If you are seeing the vertical lines when you copy as well as scan? Are you seeing the vertical lines when you copy from the flatbed? The document feeder? both?If you are seeing the lines from both the flatbed and the feeder are they in the same place?Once I know this I'll be better able to assist you.

  • I have vertical lines when printing even after changing cartridges.

I have vertical lines when printing even after changing cartridges. There are no lines when copying, faxing or scanning, only printing. I have cleaned the glass, scanner and even dusted where the toner cartride slides in.  Any suggestions?

Sorry but I have worked on laser printers for over 20 years and never encountered your issue.  That is of course if you are explaining it correctly.  When you make a copy to be printed or print a reports page from the printer or send a print job to the printer, if in all these cases you get the line, then yes the issue is either the toner cartridge or the fuser.  If you make a copy to be printed and it prints without the line (Put original in adf, press copy button and print should come out), then you have one weird unit since it does not make sense since the print formatter on the unit whether making a copy or printing from the computer or unit itself uses the same hardware.  Now to test if the printed copy has a line then just put a sheet of paper on top of the feed tray and do a self test from the printer.  When the back edge of the paper enters the printer, quickly open the toner door to stop the printing.  Remove the toner cartridge and look at the image below.  If the defect is present the toner cartridge is the issue and if the image below does not have the defect, then the fuser needs to be replaced.  Best I can do.  Good Luck.

  • Strange colorful vertical lines when opening vlc or skype (video)

Well, this is my first post, and I am writing it because of a problem i encountered with my iMac (late 2008 model 20'', 2.4 GHz).
    The problem is:
When I am video-calling on Skype, after a while the top left corner of my dock icons disappears... After some minutes my iMac display freezes with these vertical lines, usually green. The paradox is that I can speak to my skype buddy for some minutes but eventually it freezes completely and the only solutions is to turn it off by pressing the power button for six seconds. In the condition of the lines I can't sleep my iMac by pressing the power button once. The Same Problem I have when using VLC. Some more information: when the top left corner of my dock icons dissapears, if i sleep my mac and wake it, it reappears. I have read in other discussions that the problem with the disappearing corners of the dock icons has to do with the UI of the operating system. So I Am Asking, do you know what these vertical green lines are, if anyone has the same problem? How can I fix it? I believe that it has to do with the operating system or the UserInterface! This problem does not appear in a PowerBook G4 with PPC inside. I think is an Intel-based problem!
Last note: These lines are moving very slowly from left side to right side of the screen!
I had this problem when running on 10.5.5 and 10.5.6
    Any Help is welcome!
I take two pictures of my iMac in this state and i want to share it! I Don't know how....

  • Imac with corrupt video green vertical lines

Well, I'm helping my friend sort out a problem with his iMac. I'll call Apple Support on Monday, but I just thought I'd put this out there first.
iMac Specs and Hardware Overview:  Model Name:                iMac
      Model Identifier:          iMac11,2
      Processor Name:            Intel Core i5
      Processor Speed:           3.6 GHz
      Number Of Processors:           1
      Total Number Of Cores:     2
L2 Cache (per core):          256 KB
      L3 Cache:            4 MB
      Memory:              8 GB
      Processor Interconnect Speed:          6.4 GT/s
      Boot ROM Version:          IM112.0057.B00
      SMC Version (system):          1.64f5
First, the problem changes whether we’re booting from a DVD Mac OS Installer, or Safe Mode from the internal hard drive. The screen is unusable when booted normally from the internal hard drive.
First, green vertical ‘zipper’ lines when booted from installer USB thumb-drive:
Another shot of the other side of the screen:
Here’s what gets me, I have very seldom seen this kind of screen corruption that also appears in screen captures and while using “Screen Sharing”:
The ‘meshed’ blobs move around depending on the position of the mouse and activity in other windows.
I’ve proceeded with a full Time Machine backup, will boot from USB key, wipe the drive and re-install clean, just to see if that clears it up.
I also tried swapping the memory out for ‘tested working’ memory from another iMac of the same series but nothing changed. The iMac has 8GB of memory and over 5 GB of it is ‘wired’ on boot with nothing else running.

      Mirror:          Off
      Online:          Yes
      Built-In:          Yes
      Connection Type:          DisplayPort
Problem stays the same in different resolutions.
Unfortunately, he didn’t get AppleCare, (“doh!”) — so we’ll see but I’m currently a bit worried.
    System Version:          Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549)
      Kernel Version:          Darwin 10.8.0
      Boot Volume:          XXXX HD
      Boot Mode:          Safe
      Computer Name:          XXXX-iMac
      Secure Virtual Memory:          Not Enabled
      64-bit Kernel and Extensions:          No
    Anyone have any insight?

The corruption is visible on screen captures and in "Screen Sharing".
Are column drivers similar to firmware — and if so, how does one re-initialise them (PRAM or MB reset)? (i.e. 'Are they loaded from an OS kernel blob during boot?)
There is no corruption on the video display until after the OS boots.

  • Small vertical lines when connecting macbook to a Samsung 37" LCD via HDMI

    Hi
Just connected my macbook to a Samsung 37" LCD thru the HDMI port. Works a treat bar one issue...on non-moving images, colours which aren't whites or blacks, namely brighter colours, there appear small vertical lines. These seem to appear around the areas where there is a substantial difference between 2 colours (example the outline of a face against a lighter or darker background).
Tried all the obvious things such as calibration, different resolutions etc but cant get rid of them...they dont seem to be there with moving images though and certainly not on mainly white displays such a the Google homepage for example............Any thoughts?
    Much obliged

i have a samsung 52 inch tv and i have hooked up the vga connector to my pc input on my tv and went to pc input on the screen. all i keep getting when i start is the background but no icons or anything and i cant move the mouse on the tv. if i try to mirror the windows in the display i get a message that says mode not supported on the tv. any ideas. i don't have an external mouse to try

  • How can I remove vertical lines when printing from Aperture 3.2.2 to Epson Stylus Photo RX690?

I have been generally quite happy with my access to and use of Aperture 3.2.2 (recently purchased) for import and manipulation of photos and movies, etc.I am using Aperture on a MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.8.
However I have been unable to print high quality images on Epson premium glossy, glossy or matt paper on my Epson Stylus Photo RX690.
High quality prints on screen show perfectly in preview, but all prints come out with good and accurate colours, but a series of vertical lines or bands of lines across the photo print.
Using the Aperture Manual I have checked my settings in Aperture for the printer, for colour and quality of paper etc and they all seem to be correct.
The Epson Printer is networked with a Toshiba (Vista) laptop which prints perfect results from Picasa and Photoshop with fine colour and no markings.
I would appreciate any help please.
    Cam Opie

    Thank you Mark
I thought I had done all the settings .....but no.
I now have perfect prints. Easy when you know how!!!

  • Single Vertical Line When Using ADF for Scan or Copy on HP Officejet Pro 8600

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium Printer (CN577A)
    OS: MS 7 64 bit
When using the ADF for my CN577A HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium printer, I get a single vertical line on the document that is produced. This occurs when copying or scanning, both in black and white, and in color. If I scan or copy using the glass, I don't get the vertical line.
I already tried the troubleshooting.  I unplugged the printer, left it without power for several minutes; that didn't correct the problem.  Next, I cleaned the rollers and the glass; I still get the vertical line, but only when using the ADF.
My firmware version used is current (CLP1CN1150CR).
    What should I check next?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The ADF uses its own glass area on the scanner bed, it is the narrow (about 1" wide) strip on the left.  Cleaning this area should resolve the issue.  A single small spot would cause the issue you are seeing.

  • Flash Video doesn't work when burned to CD?

I'm using Flash 8.0 pro. I've exported a video as swf and

I took your source and a dummy SWF (which I named
"video.swf"), put them on a CD and it works fine for me.
When you double-click on the HTML file on the CD, what does
    the URL bar say specifically?
If you "hover" your mouse over where you think Flash should
be, do you see anything, like a tooltip saying "Click to activate

  • Vertical lines when printing a PDF

Software: Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.1.3.1 (German)
    OS: Win XP Prof SP3
    Printer: Lexmark C935
    Hello Community
I have a strange problem: When user A tries to print out his building plans in PDF format on a Lexmark C935, there are vertical lines on the printout.
    What I tried:
User A prints on another client: NOK
User B prints the same document: OK
Both users use the same printer with the same driver > shouldn't be a problem with the printer
User A has the same problem on another client > shouldn't be a problem with the client
Are there some user-specific settins that could cause these lines? I tried reinstalling Acrobat Standard, but it did not work...
Any comments / ideas are appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Simon

Try adjusuting your pdf page display settings (eg: turn off enhance thin lines).

  • Flash videos on facebook freeze when mouse rolls over

When I move my mouse pointer onto a flash video on facebook, the video freeze. The audio does not. Mostly noticed with youtube videos posted on facebook. No other sites showing this problem.

I just tested this on an existing install of FF 35 on another computer (a headless win 7 x32), one that has been working just fine. I RDP'd to it from both this new computer and a 3rd computer (also Win 7 x64 but does not have FF installed). When I RDP'd to the headless unit via the 3rd computer, FF 35 played FB videos just fine (though I did get the weird play button thing). But when I RDP's to the headless unit from this new computer, FF 35 will not play FB videos. So it must be something here on this computer that is messing things up.

  • Colorful vertical lines when transferring??

Before I start, I have an Asus G74S notebook. I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M graphics card with, again, the latest driver. The processor is an Intel Core i7-2630 QM with 12 GBs of RAM.
Now for the fun stuff. I was working on a project in CS4 on a Dell Latitude D610 with an Intel Pentium M processor running at 1.73GHz with 0.99 GB of RAM and the graphics working on an Intel Chipset. When I went to transfer the project on the Asus, all worked fine except I got these coloful vertical lines whenever I let go of the mouse.
    Example: http://s584.photobucket.com/albums/ss286/concreteBuilding/?action=view&current=screenshot1 .pngh
However, when I pop in the original footage and click on that, the footage pops up nicely, with no crazy vertical lines.
Now, when I saved the project onto my external hard drive (Toshiba USB) under a different name and put it back onto the Dell, everything worked perfectly fine, eaxcept that there were missing files that I knew were on the Asus. But I don't think we need to worry about that.
Now, I saved the project again in CS4 under yet a different name. Is there any possible way I can get the footage back without the lines in CS5.5?
And if this has anything to do with assets, can I be let in on the details on that?
    Thanks, and all the best
