Flash Video exporter for CS 4

Is there a flash video Exporter for CS4 on a Mac and if so where can I download this?
Yhanks
Jeff

Thanks for getting back so quickly,
Here is my problem. I have 2 Macs, a desktop and a laptop. The laptop
running Tiger (operating system) and Adobe CS3 which is fine for
conversion through Quicktime to .flv but on my desktop which is
running Leopard (OS) and Adobe CS4 I cannot do this type of conversion
without going into Adobe flash encoder which requires 1 more step.
I looked up Flash video exporter on the Adobe site (see link below)
and this component is only available for CS3. I want to know if it is
available for CS4 and for Mac.

Thank you for your help.

Scroll Down - its about mid page
This is on the intro page:
Note: You must have Flash MX Professional 2004 installed on
your machine to use the Flash Video Exporter with your video

  • Flash video export to use in premiere, issues

I am working on a project who's intended finished location will be youtube- 4:3 aspect, 320x240. It involves taking an animation produced in flash, editing it in premiere, then saving as a final file
since my aspect ratio is 4:3, I made my .fla file 500x375 pixels. 30 fps. I then exported the video in quicktime in 'Animation' mode, 30 fps. I can only assume that this exports as a square pixel ratio?
I created a new project in premiere. Desktop Mode, 30fps, 500x375, square pixels. However, when I import the flash video (.mov exported from flash, not .flv) it over-extends the edges of my premiere stage. I also tried making a premiere project in .9 NTSC pixel ratio, same other settings, but the problem was even more pronounced.
Any help on the correct settings to use? for either side?

good call, turns out it's not exporting at 500x375 like I tell it to. Instead, it exports to 640x480. The .fla document size is 500x375... yet when I go to quicktime export settings, it says 550x400. And when it finishes export, it's 640x480. huh??
well, I guess I can make my premiere project 640x480, not going to matter much when the final product is 320x240. I just can't figure out why it insists on exporting to 640x480

  • Help..Flash Videos work for Chrome/IE but NOT Firefox

So I cannot see some flash videos on Firefox (like sites CNet & Disney do not work) which use flash. It does work on Chrome & IE.
    1. ALL Programs are the newest/latest versions.
    2. I removed and downloaded all programs- restarted the computer after each download.
    3. I have the latest Flash (according to the website) when I view the Adobe Flash Website on Firefox.
I don't know why some flash videos work...and some do not.
I am running Vista. All my programs are legit...and I do have McAfee running..I don't download porn, no viruses etc..  Anyone have advice?!!

    ok ok
I disabled firewall which - for some weird reason- allow it to play in Firefox. Videos played in IE & Chrome- but not in Firefox, until I disabled Firewall..weird.

  • Files with Flash Video Exporter

I have a .fla file which I would like to publish on the Web,
either streaming or with progressive download. According to
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/flv_exporter.html
I have to convert this file to .flv
    Questions:
    1. There is no step by step procedure, or is there?
    2. I cannot find if this is possible with the proper Flash MX
    2004 Pro version I have?
    3. Why should I need a third party tool?
    4. The third party tool specified is Apple QuickTime Player
6.3 but there is no mention whether it is the Pro version or the
standard one, the latter doesnot have options to export video.
    Thank you for your help.

I am confused as to why you would convert an fla file to and
flv file, when the flv will need to go back into an fla file in
ourder to play. FLV files do not play on the web without being
contained in a swf file. Why do you need to control the download
speed of the fla file, which again needs to be a swf to play on the
web. I think you are going to far ahead of yourself, and you should
slowdown and learn what everything means before going any further.

  • Issues quality of video exporting for DVD

I am putting a bunch of commercials on a DVD...
I burned two test DVDs with two different settings.
My setup is NTSC DV 48 (that is how the footage is captured too, FIREWIRE NTSC Default).
I also have graphics mixed in there, and thats where the problems begin... the all too common complaint here of +my graphics look jagged+.
So on one sequence I changed the field order to none, exported a qt reference to compressor and there saved a mpeg2 with best quality 90 min. then I burned a dvd with dvd studio pro.
I did the same thing with a different clip, except I set the field order to even and followed the same procedure above.
Version 1 (with field order set to none) looks better than the 2nd version EXCEPT for one minor detail. I have a 3d graphic which looks PERFECT in FCP (created in Cinema 4d by someone else exported with the animation codec w/alpha with interlacing set to even) when interlacing is set to EVEN the graphics looks GOOD and looks JAGGED when set to NONE (quite the opposite from the rest of my graphics).
And on the DVD (being viewed in a DVD player connected to a TV) the part of the video with the 3d graphic looks better in the version where the original video setting was set to even field order.
I also made a test where I set the sequence settings to ProResHQ NTSC... the graphics do look a little better but the same issue happens with the 3d animation.
I also re-exported the 3d animation with compressor, w/FO set to none with ProRes4444, and it still looks jaggy in FCP. I think the issue is here but I do not know how to fix...
So what do I need to do so everything looks good, not one or the other... This dvd is going to be looped in a store (about 50 stores actually) and one tends to notice imperfections when viewed over and over again.
    Thanks!

+Compressor is better for de-interlacing. Ignore the de-interlace filter in the filters tab. This is a legacy filter from before Compressor had Frame Controls.+
+On the Frame Controls page, it's irrelevant what Resize Filter is set to, since you're not using that. Ditto for Anti-alias and Details. They're for resizing.+
+Set Output Fields to Progressive, and De-interlace to Better, with Adaptive Details checked.+
+Best takes a lot longer to process, and the difference is usually visually negligible. If you're in doubt and you have the time, try both and see if you can tell the difference.+

  • Problem with video export for Pro Tools

I hired a re-recording mixer to mix my short film in 5.1.  I successfully exported an OMF, and then set to making a video per his requirements:  h264, 720pHD, High Quality.
Initially I chose an h264 YouTube 720p 23.976 preset.  The re-recording mixer told me although it would open on his desktop in a quicktime player, he couldn't get it to load into Pro Tools.  So, I next created another video with the h264 HD 720p 23.976 preset.  And again, he couldn't get it to load.
As the export is quite long, I decided to re-compress the file in Apple Compressor.  And here's the weird thing.  The exported HD 720p 23.976 video wouldn't even load in compressor (although it plays fine in Quicktime).
Finally I used an Apple TV preset and exported again.  720p, 23.976.  And this time, the video loaded both in Pro Tools and would open in Apple Compressor.
What don't I understand?  Why the difference between h264 outputs?  What would the ideal "preset" be?

I have always found that a simple .dv file is the most user friendly in a ProTools Suite.
I use these in conjunction with OMF exports of audio and it works flawlessly.
I am on a PC so not sure how that impacts in your  Mac workflow.

  • Need a good flash video camera for use with my Mac...Suggestions?

I have been looking at these things for weeks, and have heard remarks about different cameras not converting over to a mac very well. There is so much noise out there about different Cameras. At this point, I think I have it narrowed down that I want one with removeable/replaceable memory cards, and an HD Model. Looking to spend not much over a grand for a basic starter kit (bag, filters, lens covers, chargers, etc) and camera with a 2 year over factory warrantee, with ample memory. I am driving Cross-country with my brother who is getting out of the military and want to be able to make use of the footage I get. I want a good camera that I can easily make work with the Mac editing programs without having to purchase a bunch of extraneous programs, etc.
    Suggestions?

I have the Panasonic HDC-SD5 and it works well.
Be sure to pick a camera off this list:

  • Flash Video Encoder Version Update

I have version 1.0 of the Flash Video Encoder. This came
bundled with Adobe Web Bundle (Macromedia Studio 8 - including
Flash Professional 8 and Adobe Creative Suite 2). I need version
1.2 or above in order to include metadata so my .flv files will
play in Captivate and on web pages. How can I get an upgrade of the
    Encoder?

You are mistaken about that I think. There is a Flash Video
Exporter for MX 04 that can go up to version 1.2. The Flash Video
Encoder that comes with Flash Pro 8 only goes to 1.0.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flash/mx2004/readme/fmxpro2004_video.html
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/flashpro/productinfo/encoder/
So, does Captivate say it needs V1.2 of the Exporter or the
    Encoder? I don't have Flash MX04 so I don't know the
    difference.

  • Video glitch in Exported QT and Flash video pieces

Hello, I am having a strange problem with my playback of exported videos. Currently I am exporting out video for website use both Highband and Lowband. For my highband I export out video using quicktime conversion. In QT conversion I use Flix Flash FLV Export which I bought extra to be able to make flash videos. For my lowband videos I use QT conversion and H.264 format. The videos that I export have a weird glitch in both High and Low bandwidth attempts and at the same spots in the video. What happens is the video jumps backward a frame or two and the audio is all off from there on. Well any help with this would be much appreciated. Thank you.
    G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   FCP HD

The videos that I export have a weird glitch in both High and Low bandwidth attempts and at the same spots in the video. What happens is the video jumps backward a frame or two and the audio is all off from there on
Have you looked at those spots in the original project timeline to verify that there is nothing strange going on at the trouble spots? Is there anything "different" about either your audio or video files in those spots?
eg. are all the audio files in your project 48Khz?
If you export a simple QT movie with no compression or conversions do you get the same problem? If not, then try using that export as your "master" and convert/compress it to what you need.

  • Convert mpeg or avi to flash video for Web

    Hello,
I wanted to know how can you upload a mpeg, avi, or wmw to a
website and convert it to a flash video file? What software is
involved? What is the easiest method for doing this? Is there a tut
out there or a book that details this method?
    Thanks,

hi, for your situation, you would expect a video converter software, to convert avi or mpeg to flash video (.flv) for web. You probably know that there are plenty of free video converter out online. like Sothink Free Video Converter which I used for while, and I am sure it supports FLV video conversion. you could have a try.

    And not particularly well done.
When the SWF file is viewed alone, it is apparent that field
mush is present in the video footage. The footage should first be
imported to a program like After Effects where the footage should
be interpreted as Upper Field First. And the composition in which
the footage is used should be set for frames (i.e., no fields).
Export the composition using the Flash Video Exporter to create the
    FLV file.

  • Flash Video Crash Frequency Becoming Alarming

I know that there is a final push to get FP 9 out the door by
the end of the month. However, I have to say that the frequency
with which my browsers are crashing, predominantly when the content
is Flash Video, is giving me some serious cause for alarm. In a
browser like Firefox, where there is one process for every window
you have open, losing multiple windows worth of work is immensely
frustrating. I have submitted this same issue via the Wish Form
several times as well, so this isn't the first I'm noting this.
    Here's my (seemingly standard) setup:
Windows XP Professional with SP2, fully patched
    Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519
    Firefox 1.5.0.4
Flash Player 9, beta 3 (IE: Version 9,0,0,296, FF: Version
    9.0 b296)
Major commercial sites where the browser tends to crash:
    CNN.com
    ESPN.com
In both cases, it is almost invariably any time one of the
Flash Video ads for Apple's new Mac campaign appears. Further, I've
noted that it gets to the point where the video looks to be done
loading and is about to play back. I went to a second machine that
had FP 8 installed, and the video played fine.
I'm a huge fan of the improvements that FP 9 is offering for
developers, but if I can't achieve stability accessing very common
web sites, I can't ask my customers to upgrade so that they can use
    my Flex 2 apps....that just won't fly.
I certainly don't mean to sound alarmist, but I know the
release date is near and so far I'm not

The Apple Ad Played in Quick Time for me and the CNN video
did not crash. Do you have a specific path to a specific video you
    can send as an example?
    Thanx,
    -Ken

  • Flash Album Exporter in iFrame problem. Greybox not working as expected

    Hello all,
I've searched and I can't find the solution or any info on the problem elsewhere.
I've used Flash Album Exporter for the grey box effect. This appears perfectly here
    http://web.me.com/james.veitch/BoxReviews.index.html
However, it's aligned to the left hand side; I can't get it to centre and there's more text I want to put on. So I thought I'd put it in an iFrame. The moment I do that, things go wrong. Here
    http://web.me.com/james.veitch/KeatsinHampstead/Home2.html
For some reason it won't load the images. What am I doing wrong? Also, is there any way to change the thumbnail images?
    Thanks in advance,
    James.

    James:
First, I can't get your first link to work. Removing the ".index.html" from the link does get the flash to load and play.
For some reason that particular flash presentation won't work in an iFrame/HTML snippet. Have you tried using a different FAE theme to see if you can get it to work in the iFrame. I've been able to get several to work in my demo sites: SimpleViewer and Flash Album Exporter and Flash Album Exporter Postcard and AutoViewer Slideshow Themes.
