Flash video loads slow.

http://www.liquidfirefishing.com/videos.html
The video at the top loads way slower than the two at the
bottom.
Can anyone tell me why? Do I need to post this in the Flash
Support forums?

  • .flv videos load slow.  Can it be sped up?

I have four videos on a page that two of them load
imediately. The other two take about five minutes to load. Is there
a way to make them all load at the same time?
By the way. The videos all load faster in FireFox. The videos
load slow IE, which I think is what most people tend to use.
    http://www.liquidfirefishing.com/videos.html
Also, if anyone can tell me how enable a full screen button.
    Thanks in advance.

there is no way to control the 'speed' of the DL - however
you may be able to 'stream' the video - in this way it will only
pause until properly buffered and then begin playback.

  • Can I run 32 bit firefox on my Windows 7, 64 bit and how ? Flash player loads slow.

Can I run 32 bit Firefox on my Windows 7, 64 bit and how do I do that? Flash player loads videos slowly. You tube videos are mostly loading slowly or hanging up. It seems to have happened after the last Firefox update.

According to website I have Flash Player installed but I cannot run a program (BBC iPlayer DeskTop) that requires 64 Bit Flash player Any ideas?
Does that program require the Flash Player ActiveX Control, or the plugin?  If you only have the ActiveX Control (for Internet Explorer) installed, then you may also need the plugin (for other browsers).  Get it from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

  • Flash video very slow

    hi all,
Whenever i watch any flash video it almost unwatchable until i let the entire video load, even then it is still very choppy. I already down graded to flash 9, which helped a little but not much. it was fine until i installed leoapard, and i upgraded the ram when i did. I booted off my tiger external and it was still just as bad as leopard is.
    1.2ghz ibook G4
    1.25gb ram
30gb hdd (15gb free) and on the tiger drive there is 25gb free
    safari 4.1 and 5.0
both are pretty much clean installations

Flash is a tremendous resource hog, and the processor in the iBook G4 really isn't up to the task.
Take a look through the iBook G3 forums, and read this thread as well, and see if any of the advice helps:

  • Videos load slower than in the past

Since upgrading to Firefox/3.6.13, videos load much slower. I have run speed test on system and that is not the problem. I have DSL. The later in the day, the slower the down load.

    Hello Paul,
    Least likely is Malware.
Check the S.M.A.R.T. status of the drive in Disk Utilty by highlighting the Drive & looking at the bottom of the window.
Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

  • Flash video encoder slow

I'm trying to convert a 4.5 minute *.avi to *.flv and am
having some difficulty. Flash Video Encoder says I have about 15.5
hours remaining (am 0.5 hours into the process). That seems wholly
unreasonable given the fact that it took me all of maybe 5 minutes
to save it as an XviD-encoded *.avi with VirtualDub...
Any ideas as to how I can speed this up?

I'm having a similar problem - but my issue has to do with
why the time to encode on my Mac Pro is slower than on my
    associate's Power Mac G5.
I'm using the Flash 8 Video Encoder to convert .mov files to
flv files on a group license. On my station I have the following:
    Hardware Overview:
    Model Name: Mac Pro
    Model Identifier: MacPro1,1
    Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 2
    Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
    Memory: 12 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz
    Boot ROM Version: MP11.005C.B08
    SMC Version: 1.7f10
I've got 151 GB available on my system drive.
Presently, it is taking me approximately 2 hours 45 minutes
to convert a 6 minute 26 sec mov to a flv with custom settings of:
    Max Date Rate: 300 kbps
    Frame Rate: Same as Source
Audio Data Rate: 48 kbps (mono)
    500 x 333 pixels.
HOWEVER, on an associate's computer he is able to convert
under the same specs, same files, etc. in 1 hour 40 minutes.
    His computer specs are:
    Power Mac G5
    Processor Speed - 2.3 GHz
    2-CPU's
    L2 Cache - 1 mb per CPU
    Memory - 16 GB
    Bus Speed 1.15 GHz
My computer has much more powerful processor, so we're
confused why it's taking longer on my computer.
I also have a second internal drive but presently the
programs and source file are on my system HD. Someone suggested
that I should try to make sure that the Video Encoder has max RAM
allocated to it as well as having the scratch disk and cache set to
the second internal drive. I don't know how to do this or even if
it's possible but looking for advice and suggestions on how to
better optimize the Video Encoder and would appreciate any help
    with this ASAP.
    Thanks!

  • Youtube videos load slow in FF & Chrome, but fine in IE.

So my problem is that Youtube videos load in a very choppy way in Firefox and Chrome, first 15 seconds load, then there's a long pause, before next 15 or so seconds are loaded. However, they load smoothly on Internet Explorer. I've reinstalled browsers and Flash, tried disabling HW acceleration, all to no avail.

It seems to me that you should not need padding if the bottom image is 'pasted' to the bottom of the menu. If the bottom div is the same size as the image, you also don't need to say "background-position: bottom;" You know that it is the 'bottom' of the menu visually. The div doesn't care where it is...it's probable that the padding is pushing the image right out of the picture (so to speak).
I don't see the bottom padding on the markup, anyway. Are the image you are presenting corresponding to the code you pasted in? By the way, seeing code pasted in is not as good as seeing the page and code in situ...by getting a link for it.

  • Flash video loaded into FLV Player choppy

I just upgraded to Flash 8 tonight, so I'm a little bit of a
newbie as to the new FLV Player that's included (so cool though!!!)
I was supposed to add a Preloader to a client's file tonight
    and got nowhere :(
The Flash video that's being loaded into the FLV Player is
choppy and I can't figure out how to add a preloader. I tried the
AS from the help file, but it didn't work out. I'm assuming this AS
is not for use with the FLV Player?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I'm at my wits end with this
and confused as to why I can't preload the movie. The preloader
just blinks for a second, then the movie plays but it's large so it
gets choppy every now and then.
    thanks!

Actually I did try setting the buffer to 10 and it didn't
correct the problem. Tried adding the suggested FLV Preloader but
it doesn't work with this instance (component loading external
movie file) so I ended up having to use a different FLV Player
altogether and it worked fine. Seems like there is something wrong
with the built-in component -i f another FLV Player works perfectly
without any additional programming or tweaking and was developed by
an outside source (other than Adobe.)
    Thanks for your reply though.

  • LR flash gallery loads slow on the web

I have made a number of of flash galleries and included them in inline frames in html pages on my web site. However, the load time on the web pages is very slow and I am afraid that people just get fed up and leave the site.
I heve deleted large and medium images from the galleries but it does not seem to help that only small images are left.
Any idea what slow down the loading?..or what can help speed up loading time?
Thanks in adcance for any help

Loads instantly when I visited (using Firefox as the browser). I have a pretty fast isp. The images are quite large and on slow connections may take some time, but all seems to be working. Very interesting stuff by the way, going back for a good look.

  • Help with Flash  Video - Loaded but not playing...

I created an SWF file which plays correctly on my system but
    does not play
    on the web.
I had a previous version of the SWF file working correctly.
    The only
difference is that this swf was remade with audio.
    Here's the link:

If this is downloaded and played, it works correctly.

  • YouTube slow video loading

on wifi video loads slow why is this? So I stop the video and move the slide left and right and it loads faster don't make sense

Even on WiFi, EDGE, or 3G streaming video or pre-recorded video has to buffer first.
If for some reason enough buffering has not been done it will be slow and or buffer between video playback.
But if the buffering is not the issue and it's more of the video being in like a slow motion try the following.
    1. Reboot iPhone
    2. Toggle WiFi on/off then back on and try Youtube again
    3. Toggle Airplane mode ON for 1 min then OFF and then try Youtube again
    4. If needed go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings - Confirm - allow iPhone to reboot. Then reconnect to your WiFi and try Youtube again.
If you find this continues test Youtube on other WiFi connections to see if the same slowness occurs.

  • Flash Video Issues In Safari 5 w/ 10.1 Flash Plugin

    Hey Folks-
I've tried everything I can think of and read everything I could find, but I am still finding that there are a variety of flash-based video sites with content that is not loading. Some flash video loads, some does not. The pattern is not at all clear, but for example, the flash video on PBS.com and ESPN.com always fails to load. This development seems to be new to Flash 10.1, but does not replicate in any other browser.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled flash, repaired permissions, cleaned out the plugins folder, reapplied the OS combo update, etc, etc. No change.
Below are the errors that show up in the activity log associated with a few failed flash video loads- I'm not really clear on how the plugin works on the backend, so I am not sure I can make heads or tails of these, but I knew some of you would be able to. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks very much!

    UPDATE:
When trying to load flash video content on ESPN just now, the video starts to load, then the flash controls disappear and the video just remains black. The browser reports no errors and nothing shows up in the activity log.

This may be applicable to your problem:
Update 10.6.4 included an out-of-date version of FlashPlayer*. Try deleting it and installing the latest one from Adobe even if it has the same version number as the one you have:
The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash
(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
    * To avoid this situation in the future, Apple recently announced that Macs would in future not have Flash Player pre-installed, precisely to avoid this situation, saying:
We're happy to continue to support Flash on the Mac, and the best way for users to always have the most up to date and secure version is to download it directly from Adobe.
They also noted that this will be happening across all Macs in the future, though there may be some models still in the channel with Flash pre-installed.

  • Flash Video Slows Down Website Load, Lags When Playing

Hello, I am a designer that has encoded .Mov files to
.Flv in CS3 Flash Video Encoder. They look and play great
when previewing on my hard drive, but once uploaded to the website
host, the pages load much slower and the video sometimes stops
& lags, like it is waiting for it to load.
I used Flash CS3 Video Encoder,
    settings: On2 VP6, 246kbps video, 32kbps audio; resized to
320x240. File sizes range from 5mb-13mb. When I inserted into
    the html page in
    Dreamweaver, I choose the
Flash Progressive Player. There are a lot of videos on this
website, approx. 20, but only one per page. The site is hosted by
    godaddy.com.
    Here is the temp site:
http://www.wondernumber.com/testing I thought this would be
handled by a programmer, but it got stuck in my lap. The client is
anxious to get this project done!. Any help offered is greatly
    appreciated!!!!!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I actually gave in yesterday
morning and reduced the quality of the video from 400 to 150, and
the sound from 96 to 16. Does play through now but doesn't look or
    sound as good.
Do you think if I put the videos on a dedicated server I
could raise the quality and they would play smoothly?
    Thank you! ~Jana
