Flash video wont play until fully buffered

Some flash videos, like ones from blip.com wont play until fully buffered but Youtube and other flash based sites work just fine.  The ads will play, but when they are done it will just be a buffering wheel until it is 100%, then it works like normal.I have tried; reinstalling flash, different browsers (chrome, Firefox, IE), reinstalling browsers, disabling all extensions/plugin, disabling anti virus, but nothing seems to work.    When the same video is played in windows safe mode, they work just fine, so its something else running

Every video i try to play doesn't actually start till the video is fully buffered. It's not so bad if its a 2 min video but if im trying to watch a movie or a long youtube video i have to wait ages till it'll actually work.

I can get a wmv file to play in dreamweaver (embed-plug in).

I have gone through quite a few tutorials, and still no luck.
Ive done the import into flash, convert to swf, publish,

  • Certain embedded videos wont play

certain embedded videos wont play. Flash type. There's a code UT-8 type?
example for the Vindictus game, all the little flash videos of game play wont launch. Its a shock wave file I guess, and the problem is, I cant launch the game if the buttons dont appear!

That is a FLV file played by a Flash player.<br />
Your More system details list shows that you have the Flash plugin.<br />
Do you have problem on other sites with Flash?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
    * [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • Flash Video not playing in IE6

I have a flash video embedded in my page that plays fine in
FF and IE7, however when loading the page in IE6 the video is
absent (the "red x" is in its place) and I receive the message
"Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls
on this page. As a result the page may not display correctly."
Now, this happens in IE6 only on the default security
settings. I have other sites that embed flash video and play fine
    in IE6 without warning...they weren't created with Dreamweaver CS3
    though.
What is triggering this in IE 6 and can I remove some code
from my page to prevent this?
Thanks for any help to what is probably a noobish
    question.

This would only be in local preview, right?

  • After new update my videos wont play and all my ph...

    Hi All,
Pretty please could someone help me. I have only just updated my software, but all of my photos (phone and sd card) appear to be blank. And my videos wont play. Something like Videos cannot be played at this time'? I've noticed my WiFi and phone signal is awful now too.
Can anyone please help me retrieve my lost data?
    Many thanks, Dee

Congrats on your first post, fed_upp. BTW, may we know the phone model you are using? When you say new update, are you referring to the Lumia Cyan or WP7.8 update? Have you already tried switching off/on your phone and re-inserting your memory card to check if there's any difference? About the phone's signal, are you able to see any changes when moving the phone in one place to another? For the Wi-Fi signal, are you unable to connect to any available Wi-Fi network?
We'll wait for your response so we can help you further.

  • Cant Make Flash Video Stop Playing

I am using an HTMLLoader to display a web page in a
NativeWindow. The web page I am displaying has an embedded flash
video that plays in it. That all works fine. The problem I have is
that when they close the window, the flash video keeps playing. The
only way to stop it is to close the entire app.
Is there a way to somehow make the HTMLLoader stop playing
    the content?

I figured it out. I found a reply that fixed this problem for
someone with a SWFLoader and it works for the HTMLLoader.
Here is the answer if you need it, where html is the name of
    the HTMLLoader.
    html.load(null);
    html.reload();

  • I just "upgraded" from iPad4 to an iPad Air, now my videos wont play

I just "upgraded" from iPad4 to an iPad Air, now my videos wont play!
I Tested it on 2 iPad air's and my old iPad 4
they play perfectly on the iPad 4 from the native photos app
i tested it with old videos and shot some new footage but nothing plays on either ipad airs

I have the same problem, except it's iTunes that won't sync with my iPad.  The thing is, iTunes isn't in the iCloud on/ off syncing list on both my iPad and my MacBook air for some reason.

  • Keep hearing white noise when a flash video is playing

Whenever a flash video is playing (ie. Youtube) then I will hear white noise in the foreground and barely hear the original audio in the background. This also happens with facebook notifications and other flash sounds. I have checked my sound card and drivers and also switched the sound card over to see if this solves the problem but it seems to just be linked with Firefox at the moment

hello, maybe it's an issue with the protected mode in the flash plugin - you could try if [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/flash-113-crashes#w_solution-2-downgrade-to-flash-10-3 downgrading to flash 10.3] (which is still supported) or [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071#TemporaryWorkaround disabling protected mode] makes a difference.

  • Videos won't play until fully loaded when using Flash Player

    Hello,
When I try to play videos using flash player, it usually takes a very long time for them to start playing, because they do not start until the entire video is loaded. However, disabling flash player and using something like Quicktime allows me to start watching a video once enough of it has buffered.
I'm currently using Windows 7 x64, and it happens across browses (Firefox, Chrome, IE). I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the latest version of Flash player several times, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

How video is played is determined from the content/server, not flash player itself.  Are you seeing this happen with YouTube?

  • Youtube videos doesn't play until fully loaded

Youtube videos doesn't play until they are fully loaded. It doesn't work for ANY streamed video, not just Youtube. It happens on both Firefox and IE. I tried to uninstall Flash and re-install it, but it didn't help. The only thing that solves it is restarting the computer, but it just returns after some time.
    How can I fix it?

Hi, This is the info on the hardware acceleration and system requirements. http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html
The video card affects playback:Although Flash Player can display high-quality video and images by itself, hardware-accelerated scaling uses the video or graphics card on your computer to display images and video more clearly and quickly than Flash Player can on its own.
Not everyone can use it and that's why turning it off helps. Since you have it turned off, then this no longer affects you.
They may be some add on in the browser that is causing this. Kaspersky had been using a URL Advisor that is an "extension"
but whether you have it I don't know. In IE, in the manage add ons, look for "Show"(very light text) and look in all 4 categories for it.
In FF, it may be in the extensions. I'd look in all, addons, plugins & extenstions.
If you find it, disable it. If you don't find it, then all I could suggest is to disable all IE add ons except Shockwave Flash Object and Java and see it there is an improvement. Then do the same with FF.
Hope you find out what is causing it.
    Thanks,
    eidnolb

  • AS2 - FLVPlayback progressive download video doesn't play until fully downloaded, and sometimes it d

I'm loading video content paths from an external XML file into the FLVPlayback component. The issue I'm having is that the progressive download action is so inconsistent, sometimes it plays the video right away as the video is playing, and sometimes it does not play the video at all until the entire video is completely loaded. I would like to have the video play right away as the video is downloaded. I'm banging my head against the wall on this one. Any ideas?
/*--- autoplay is checked in the components inspector ---*/
    playback1.contentPath = getNodeValue(findNode(videos, "one"));

    Anyone?

  • Flash video freezes/hangs until window is moved

I am encountering a very strange problem when trying to play Flash Video from the ABC.com site (trying to catch up on Lost .
    http://fep.abc.go.com/fep/player?src=abccomjs&show=93372
When I start the episode player, it will begin playing an episode, but at some point - usually within the first 15-30 seconds - the video will freeze. The audio will stop a few seconds after that. This state continues until I do one of the following:
    - Move the browser window
    - Open a menu from the menu bar
    - Move my mouse over the dock
    - Switch to a different application
    - Use my Apple Remote to turn the volume up/or down (triggering the volume overlay)
At that point, the video will start playing again for some time (10-30 seconds) and stop again.
This is true whether I am in window mode, or fullscreen mode, whether I watch the standard or HD version, or whether I am in Safari (3.2.1) or Firefox (3.0.5).
I don't have any problems playing from YouTube or Hulu on the Mac mini. And I have no problems playing the episode from the ABC site on my Macbook, using the same internet connection.
Thank you very much. Any help is much appreciated.
    Best regards // pascal

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and  Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
