Flash will not download

I have a new computer running Windows 7 64 bit and have downloaded Firefox26. When I go to pages which need Flash, I try to download. The automatic download fails. I go to manual download http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and press "Install Now". This just takes me to Adobe's homepage http://www.adobe.com/. If I go to the download link on the lower right of the page it takes me back to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and I am in a loop.
I have looked in as many places as I can think of but not found an answer yet. Thanks in advance

Thank you for your quick and helpful reply, sahilnmmt.

Your system details list doesn't show that the Shockwave Flash plugin is installed and enabled.
You can find the latest Flash player versions for Firefox on this page.

  • My Flash player will not download. desperate help needed

I am at a complete loss as to what to do. Flash will not download on my PC windows 7 computer no matter how many times I try. I click on the link and go through the whole process of downloading the installation file but then nothing happens just a big black box popping up with no prompts and nothing being installed. I am at my wit's end and am in desperate need of what's wrong. Is it my anti virus software? Is it my firefox? I am in desperate need of help. Please advise ASAP.

The current version of Flash isn’t compatible with Mac OS X 10.5.8. Click here to check if there’s a compatible update.

I am working on OS X 10.8.5 and flashplayer will not download updates because of failure to unzip metafile file. My current version is out of date and no longer works at all. I have seen post from a Yuko C. that may have some answers.

  • Adobe flash quit working. Uninstalled. Will not download now.

Adobe flash player will not download. I don't remember it crashing, but it probably did. I uninstalled and have tried to re-install 5 times.

I show that it is downloading. But at that point it disappears from the Download window. I have gone to its file and tried to double click and download it that way, but it just won't finish the download process. I have tried everything. I guess I am going to take it into a geek I know and see if he can fix it. I'm tired of Firefox constantly (not responding), so I may have to go back to IE.
Thanks again for your quick response to my post.

  • Podcast episodes will not download from podcast stream

I have set up a podcast on my website to download sermons. I created the xml file which I tested in my feeds section of my browser. The xml file works perfectly there in that all the episodes are listed with thier respective audio files. If you click on the actual audio file it downloads the way that it should and plays. I copied the xml file location and went into Itunes and chose subdcribe to a pod cast. It asked for the url which I pasted the xml file location. Itunes displayed all of my episodes the way that it should. The problem then starts. When I click on an episode to download the audio file the episode name flashes for a second or 2 in the window on top and then nothing. The audio file will not download on any of the episodes. It lists them all but other then that I can't do anything with them. My xml file location is: http://www.stpaulsconway.org/stpaulssermons.xml What could I possibly be doing wrong?

Glad to hear that you have solved your problem.
May I suggest that if you have any further questions regarding Podcasts that you are producing, that you post the question in the Producing Podcasts community, where people with more specific knowledge will be sure to help you.

  • Firefox will not download and neither will any other program, ever since I accidentally deleted it.

I tried to clear a history and accidentally trashed firefox, It disappeared from my dock, so I opened Safari and tried to re-install firefox. Now, it will not download. Nothing from any site will download at all. What do I do?

It sounds as though your PC is infected with fake antivirus software. The detailed cleanup instructions vary depending on which fake AV you have. However, as a first step, try this:
Download the following on a different PC, copy them to a USB flash drive or CD, and then run them on the infected PC:
    Malwarebytes Anti-malware : http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
    SUPERAntiSpyware : http://www.superantispyware.com/
Hopefully these will get you back online safely. If not, search for clean-up instructions for the specific malware.

  • Flash will not install

I have been trying to install adobe flash. First instructions were to uninstall and previous versions. I did that and now Flash will not install. It says that gplay is interfering and can not down load. I dont even know what gplay is, were do I find it, what does it do, and how do I make it go away to get Flash.
I have been working on this for a month. I downloaded Chrome and that is working fine because it has Flash with it, but I deleted flash from my computer and AOL is my internet provider and I cant play videos and such from my mail.
    Help, I am so frustrated.
    Cindy

    Hi,
Which operating system is your computer running on?
If you are using Windows, got to the Task Manager and click on the Processes tab.
Then click on "Show Processes from all users".
In the list of processes, look for "gplay.exe". Select it and click on End Process.
Try downloading and installing Flash Player after that.

  • My adobeflasher is not working anymore and when i try to download it will not download

my adobe flahplayer is no longer working and every time I try to download it it will not download i click download now and nothing happens there is no box to say install now what do i do?

I apologized for my earlier comments.  They were written out of frustration.  Yes, I was entirely out of line.  It's exceedingly frustrating not having Flash Player capability.  As with many things in life, you don't appreciate what you have until you no longer have it.  I no longer have access to news clips, Youtube, etc. etc., and I haven't had access in weeks.  There is an online ATV safety course that two of my kids need to take.  Yesterday, I opened the link to the course; guess what, the online safety course requires Flash Player.  AAAAHHHHH!!!!!  More frustration.  My kids will have to go to someone else's house or to the local library in order to (hopefully) be able to take to the safety course.  I've already resigned myself to the fact that I will no longer be able to use Flash Player (unless of course Adobe releases another version that installs/runs properly).  What exactly do you mean by Adobe is "generally aware" of installation issues?  It's not as if these problems have only occurred over the last few days and weeks; it's been many months.  Surely Adobe must know that tens of thousands if not millions of people are unable to use Flash Player.  Your mentioning that Adobe is expecting to fix installation issues "incrementally" doesn't sound as if this problem will be resolved anytime soon.  If my company fixed customer's problems incrementally, we would no longer have customers.  Is this Flash Player problem due to such a major glitch (or glitches) that it's going to take Adobe a long time to find the root cause of the problem(s) and a long time to rectify it?  Are there any other options for the many folks like me who are dead in the water in relation to Flash Player?  I would be interested in finding out if there are any alternatives.  I can't afford it right now, but is my only option to buy a new computer that already has Flash Player installed?
