Flash won't open :(

I have installed and re-installed Adobe flash professional cc again and again, but the same thing happens, everytime I go to open Flash it says "The appilaction was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) Click Ok to close the appilcation." It's driving me crazy!!! -_-

I believe the new Flash Pro CC is a full 64-bit version. If you're trying to install it on a Win7 32bit system it probably would just crash on you. Really, it shouldn't even install if that was the case, but who knows.

  • Flash won't open in Leopard

Upgraded to Leopard - Mac OS 10.5.2. Flash won't open. I just
    get a spinning beachball.

Run the uninstaller to get the bad stuff out. Repair permissions (Disk Utility) and the run the installer.
Repair permissions again and then test.

  • Flash won't open (unexpected quit) after system reinstall from Time Machine

After purchasing a new machine, I reinstalled everything from my Time Machine backup, including all applications. Now Flash CS4 gives me "unexpected quits" every time I try to open it. Flash CS3 opens though. I deleted the prefs file and it still won't open.

I have/had a similiar problem. What I did was reset the SMC and PRAM.  You can also do a safe boot. For the PRAM, I had to do three times, and my computer finally booted up. Afterwards I verified my disk and repaired my permissions. So far so good. I guessing that Spotlight needed to re-index the system.

  • Buttons within Flash won't open links or files in blank windows in IE 7!

I have a bunch of flash files on my website that I use as
menus. Some of these menus have buttons call links and files to be
opened in a blank window but this won't seem to work in Internet
Explorer 7. Are there any fixes to this problem?

this is not a globaly known issue but probably a problem with
the code you are using and/or some
kind of popup blocker installed in your browser or security
setting you have made. If it is a code
issue we would need to see your pasted code at least to take
    a stab at it.

  • Flash won't open automatically with webpages

When i open a website, i.e. MLB.com or CNN.com, i have to go to the menu bar at the top of the computer and click, "Safari", "Click to Flash", "Load flash for all pages" for every page i visit. THese pages used to load automatically. What do I need to do?

Did you check to see if you have those sites whitelisted in the Click2Flash settings? If not, do that, restart Safari, and it should work.

  • Calendar flashes but won't open iOS 8.1

when I try to open calendar, it flashes a white screen then takes me back to the home screen. Won't stay open.  Any ideas/ solutions? IPad Air

    Hey NCRob,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing an issue with the calendar application closing. The following resource provides troubleshooting steps for this symptom:
iOS: An app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1702
Since the calendar application is built-in to the OS, you'll want to restore your device to reinstall the application:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Hard Drive icon won't open and menu bar flashes off and on

All of a sudden, in the middle of the day, my eMac went haywire. I can launch apps and docs are one the desktop. But I cannot open the Hard Drive icon. If I double-click on it (or used Command-O from keyboard), the icon won't open. And when I attempt to open it, the Finder Menu Bar begins flashing off and on (vanishing, reappearing, vanishing) across the top of the screen. I haver rebooted, run disk utility to repair permissions, even booted from TechTools to run its diagnostics. But still no access to the Hard Drive icon. I logged out and logged in as a TEST user, and same thing happens even when logged in that way. Literally, this happened in an instant. One minute the eMac was fine, then this started. Anyone else seen this? -- david

If the problem exists in both your regular account and your Test account odds are that it is at the system level. You can try a Safe boot (hold down the shift key at startup) to see if there is a third party startup item or one of the optional Apple functions that is causing the problem. You could also boot from the installer disk and use the Disk Utility->Repair Disk function. If you have a utility such as Tiger Cache Cleaner which will do a deep cache clean you can also try that.

  • I updated Adobe Flash on my Mac and now my solitaire app won't open.  No error message, just -600.

I updated Adobe Flash on my Mac and now my solitaire app won't open.  Message just says 'unable to open' -600.  I tried to reinstall Full Deck Solitaire, but the app store says it is already installed, so I can't do it that way.  What should I do?  There's nothing in Help that helps.

Please restart the computer and try again. If it won't restart in the usual way, force a shutdown by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds. Then press it again briefly to restart.

  • Some video's won't open in flash player

I have windows XP service pack 3 and IE 8. On some web sites, some but not all of the video's won't open.I get no error code or anything, but there is what looks like a capital "T" in the upper left corner of the box where the video should be. There is what looks like a red dot in the left angle of the "T". I have the most current flash player, 10.1.102.64 as confirmed when I go to Adobe ..../about. The same video will play if I use Chrome, and the strange thing is that the same video WILL play if I open IE8 using my wife's user account. I have concluded that it must be one of my IE8 setting, but I have compared setting on the two accounts and I can't find the problem. Any suggestions?

Which file - the .swf or the .exe file?
If the .swf, you need to create a file association to the projector.

  • Template fla file won't open in Flash MX

I am having trouble opening up the Music_MX.fla into
my Flash MX........is there anyway that I can find freeware or get
this file to open.......error messages include: file format not
found and unable to open file. thanks

Open Flash first, then use the File... Open... and navigate
to the fla that you want to open. If this file won't open, and it
is marked that it should work with the version of Flash that you
are using, then it should open using this method. If the file
doesn't open, then return it, or get a new copy.

  • Installed Skype and now Flash Player won't open in new window

I installed the latest version of Skype and now Flash Player does not work properly.
I just bought a new laptop, it has Windows 7, 32 bit, IE 9, and Flash 10.
A website that I go to all the time uses Flash Player so when you click on a link in the site it pops out the player into a new window and you can listen while you still browse on their site.  After I installed Skype last night, that 'pop-out' function is no longer there.  The player now replaces the webpage and it is very large and distorted because it is supposed to be in a small pop-out window.  No matter what I click, I can't get the link to open in a new window, it always opens in the same window replacing the webpage.
I uninstalled Skype and then used the manual uninstaller of Flash because the uninstall would not work from the uninstall screen in Windows.  I then reinstalled the latest version of Flash Player and I still have the same problem.
Is this a setting that I can change somewhere??
    Thank you.

Hi eidnolb, thanks for the reply.
I did uninstall the google toolbar that was installed with skype.
I now found that it is not just flash player that won't open in a new window, I can't get any link at all to open in a new tab or a new window.
I tried restoring IE's settings and that did not work.
I know this is an adobe forum and my problem is now much larger than just adobe, but if you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it.
    Thanks.
