Flash wont install

I am trying to install the upgraded version of Flash player on Windows 7, 64 bit system. I have disabled my antivirus and I click download. Before the Run, Save, Open box even comes up it tells me the website I am trying to download from is unavailable, or doesnt exist. Everytime. I have checked add ons and Shockwave Flash is enabled. I had the old version of Flash player on my computer, and it disappeared, is completely gone, I dont know what happened to it. My son was using my computer while I was out of town, he may have deleted it, or the antivirus did. It worked last week! I still seem to have Adobe reader installed and it works fine... This is weird! I cant watch any videos or tv shows I download without Flash... Someone please help!! I am frustrated! M

Badgerwolf I would recommend posting your inquiry in the Flash Player installation forums.  They are located at http://forums.adobe.com/community/flashplayer/installing_flashplayer.

  • Newest version of flash wont install

I keep trying to downlaod the newest version of flash but when i click to install I get a popup that says "can't create a temporary file. maybe your hard disk is full".  I have plenty of space on my hard disk though. Any ideas what the issue is?

Try using the offline ActiveX installer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe (save it to disk). Close all browser windows, re-run the previously downloaded uninstaller, then the installer.
    Did that work?

  • Flash wont install/load for Facebook game

I need help - first of all, Im not a computer guru so need laymans terms in answering!
I like to play the Facebook game, FarmVille. I've been playing for about 6 months now. Today when I was accessing the game, it told me I needed to update to the latest version of Flash (10) which I thought I had so I did it, told me installation was complete, rebooted then tried to load the game again - same thing. First of all, Im on a Dell Latitude D630 laptop using IE8. I read down in the forum about a similar situation and used the suggestions in the thread. I uninstalled using the link and placed it on my desktop before uninstalling, went to tools and did the active X check thing, rebooted, went back to this forum, followed the instructions for installing by placing the link on my desktop. I installed it, rebooted and I get the same thing. Now here is the kicker, I have an Acer laptop and an Acer desktop and no problem - just on my Dell. Any suggestions?

It seems that the latest version of FP10 is successfully installed.
I don't know why facebook is asking you to install FP. Some websites claim that they require Flash Player, when in fact they mean Shockwave Player.  Try installing Shockwave Player, and see if it works better after that.

How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X
If it isn't there after that... you've got OS problems, trust me.

hi im having huge problems trying to install flash for my mac 10.5 imac, iv gone through the internet and tried all of the solutions, everytime i try to install flash it says cant read the download file, or it just wont install, anybody plz help!
iv unistalled flash, iv checked plug ins it just wont work,

It would have been a great help to know precisely what Mac you have, so some of the following may not apply:
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3.183.23 or later, is for Intel Macs only running Tiger or Leopard, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.4.402.265 or later is for Snow Leopard onwards.
(If you are running Mavericks: After years of fighting malware and exploits facilitated through Adobe's Flash Player, the company is taking advantage of Apple's new App Sandbox feature to restrict malicious code from running outside of Safari in OS X Mavericks.)
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC (G4 or G5) Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:
When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
You can also try these illustrated instructions from C F McBlob to perform a full "clean install", which will resolve the "Blocked Plug-in" message when trying to update via the GUI updater from Adobe.
Use the FULL installer for 12.0.0.44:  Flash Player 12 (Mac OS X)
And the instructons are here: Snow Leopard Clean Install.pdf
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, try the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the version 11.5.502.55:)
Download this http://scriptogr.am/nordkril/post/adobe-flash-11.5-for-powerpc to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • CS 3 Wont install

My harddrive took a dump and now I need to reinstall my CS3.  It wont install.  I enter the serial # and Autho codes and they dont work!  I can't figure it out.  I called adobe and they gave me the sales pitch of " we dont offer support for that software anymore because its out dated to far."
Im sorry, this software cost a pretty penny, and I think I should be able to use it.  WTF?
    Any thoughts?

The only thing behind the Adobe window is my Windows Vista Premium desktop. I was able to install from my DVD the Adobe Design Standard CS3 folder. In this folder are Acrobat Distiller 8, Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and Adobe LiceCyle Designer 8.0. I get the following message, "Component install failed." when I try to install Illustrator CS3, InDesign CS3, Photoshop CS3 and Version Cue CS3 Server. In addition, I get "Successfully installed 1 component: Shared Components." Stangely enough, I also get this message, "Component install failed" for shared components. These are the list of procedures that I have used to install CS3: 1) I untinstalled my antivirus program. 2) Turned off Windows firewall. 3) Ran computer in low-res mode. 4) Ran computer in SAFE mode. 5) Defragmented all hard drive. 6) Ran Adobe Cleaner Tool. 7) Attempted to install from hard drive/desktop. 8) Attempted to install from DVD. 9) Attempted to install on two, different hard drives. 10) Attempted to install using a new user account that has administrative privileges. 11) Removed all versions of Flash Player 12. Ran Chkdsk. 12. Updated my Windows version. 13) Ran Windows Event Viewer, and there is something under MSIInstall, but I cannot figure out what it is. My computer meets installation requirements because I have 17 GB on the boot drive, 414 GB on another drive, and 1 GB RAM.

Download the offline installer here: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac/install_flash_playe r_11_osx.dmg
If it won't download directly, right click and "Save as" - DO NOT mount the DMG ir run it yet!
    Go to: Mac HD/Library/Internet Plugins
Trash the Flash Player.plugin file from there
    Go to: Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Trash the Flash Player folder (the whole folder)
    Empty the trash
    Reboot
Mount the DMG and run the installer.
BEFORE opening any Flash content in Safari, open Safari>Preferences, and check the Security tab to make sure "Allow all other plugins" is checked.

  • CS4 Master Collection Install - Can't Select Flash to Install

I'm trying to install the Master Collection on my PC here at work, however when I get to the option to select the "Easy Install", or "Custom Install", Flash CS4 isn't selectable to "Check" to install. It doesn't change if I got to Easy, or Custom. Both have Flash "Grayed Out". I had the trial of Flash CS4 installed, but I uninstalled it, thinking that it was causing the issue, but it still doesn't give the option to install it.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Adobe says I have latest Flash Player installed but it's not listed in program list and a video souce says I need to download it to open their video.

I can't open some videos--they say I need Flash Player but Adobe says I have successfully installed the latest 64-bit version. It doesn't show in the list of all programs but it is on the "uninstall" list. I have uninstalled the old version
