Flash works differently in several browser

...see the players buttons and manage them and in FF I can't.
There is another catch...If in FF I'm entering a page and come back
to player I CAN SEE ANA MANAGE THE BUTTONS!
Anyone, any ideea?

Hi, I've read all of your posts, including the last one. I wanted to reply to this one right now. Did you use the McAfee Removal Tool or just remove it from Add/Remove?
Norton and MSE are most likely conflicting since they both have Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware components. You should only have one Anti-Virus program on any computer. You can have more than one Anti-Spyware program as long as you know they are compatible.
Norton also installs add ons that conflict with many users browsers and the Flash Player ActiveX Control that is Installed in the IE browser. I just wanted you to be aware of this.
So in addition to cleaning the dust from your tower which is a good idea anytime, you may want to check the Anti-Virus info.
Thanks,

  • Images are not loading or flash player not working EXCEPT in private browsing mode

    I recently used Auslogics Boost Speed to clear out my cache, defrag and optimize my computer. When I went to start my browser, none of my images from my regularly visited sites were loading. Nor were any of the sites that had Flash? I tried several sites to see if it was isolated but to no avail. It happens whenever I go to ANY of my sites. BUT...here's the weird thing...if I switch to "private browsing" THEN all the images load and my flash websites load and work? What happened? I must have changed something during the optimization that is no longer allowing me to load images or use Flash whenever I am in regular browsing mode. Can you help? @_@

    Your Web server is running on an operating system that is case-sensitive. You appear to have uploaded an Images folder, but not an images folder.
    You do not have a file here:
    images/squeeze-video_425x344_r9_c6.jpg
    But you do have a file here:
    Images/squeeze-video_425x344_r9_c6.jpg
    So you'll need to either change all your image/<whatever> links to point to Images/<whatever>, or upload another folder named images.
    Or, if you want to use a single folder, and if your local file system is not case-sensitive, you might be able to do it in DW's file panel. Here is a method that you might use to have all of them in a folder named images.
    BACK UP YOUR SITE FILES
    Rename Images to Foo (allow DW to update links)
    Rename Foo to images (allow DW to update links)
    Upload the images folder and any/all files that DW changed
    Delete the online Images folder

  • Do Flash Player runtime and AIR runtime work differently?

    This question is asked as a follow up from a recent discussion, http://forums.adobe.com/message/6260447#6260447, regarding how getObjectsUnderPoint() works. The discussion was marked as correct as the answer provided by kglad was correct for the question asked.
    But, the problem that led to that thread was not solved, as from the tests done, the issue was not from the method but from the runtimes. With the sample code given by kglad, the compiled swf file was working as intended by kglad. But the same code was not if compiled and packaged to AIR runtime.
    Thus the question, do Flash Player runtime and AIR runtime work differently? Or again, that I simply missed out something?
    *Edit: Anyone with similiar experience?

    I'm also using Safari 6.0.1 and I don't have this problem, so I doubt Safari's causing the problem.
    Have you tried uninstalling flash completely and then reinstall? If you haven't, here's Adobe's instructions on how to do so: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html
    Once you've uninstalled it, try redownloading and reinstalling again: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

  • I can't open anything that uses flash player in Firefox, I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and no luck! but flash works fine on my seamonkey browser, can anyone please HELP me?

    None of the flash games will work on FF, I have even uninstalled FF and reinstalled it, I have disabled QuickTime, I have uninstalled Adobe flash and reinstalled it and still NOTHING! Flash works fine on Seamonkey though

    Check that plugin scanning is turned on (it should be by default). If it is turned off Firefox will not search the Windows registry for details of plugins that it can use.
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # Locate the preference '''plugin.scan.plid.all''', if the value is set to '''false''', double-click on it to change it to '''true'''
    If it was set to false, re-start Firefox to see if the Flash plugin is now available.
    Also make sure that you have installed the version of Flash used by Firefox. You should have it because SeaMonkey is using it, but if the Flash plugin is in SeaMonkey's own plugins folder Firefox may not be able to see it.
    Download the latest plugin from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/?installer=Flash_Player_10.2_for_Windows_-_Other_Browsers and run it to install the version of Flash used by Firefox, this will install it in the default location so that Firefox should be able to find it.

  • Can't get flash working on firefox even though plugin is installed.

    I am trying to get flash to work with Firefox on my mac OSX 10.6.8 VM. I had an old version of flash and I just updated it. According to adobe's help page (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html), the most recent version *is* installed but the animation on that page doesn't appear, nor does any other flash-based site seem to work. In the add-ons page, shockwave flash is present, and the setting is "always activate." In every way it seems to be successfully installed, but firefox has no idea it is there. Flash works just fine for Safari. I've uninstalled and reinstalled flash completely, several times. I've restarted my VM at different points during this process. Elsewhere on this site I found advice suggesting that I try to delete pluginreg.dat. No dice. If I check the about:plugins page it states that flash is present and enabled. But it simply doesn't work.
    The only possible thing I can think of is that while flash is installed in the default directory, firefox is in a custom directory. (I use this VM for automated browser testing so I have several versions of firefox installed. Flash isn't working on any of them.) Any advice?

    Sadly, that icon doesn't even appear for me. I can click the empty space where the icon should be and select "settings" but the settings box won't appear. I tried in the safari I have installed on the same vm, the settings box would appear but I couldn't actually click anything or make the box respond. This appears to have been a known issue with flash v10.whatever but I'm on v13. Is there another way to access this hardware acceleration option for flash? I already have it disabled for firefox.

  • Flash media player in my browser resets security/privacy settings!

    Why do the last three versions of flash media player in my browser reset my security and privacy settings leaving my system totally vunerable???  I have set and reset multiple times both locally and on the global settings panel on the Adobe web site.

    Reguardless of what is "encoded" into Shockwave Flash streaming player the fact that the settings default back to accept update notifications, allow peer to peer sharing, and storage settings still exist since the last several program updates.
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.htm l
    All programs have been updated, re-installed to all current versions. Checked everyday the player will reset anywhere from one to five days from being set. I also check before and after any utilities run on my systems to verify the change is not caused by any resident commands or software. Yes this happens on different computers and OS.
    I run all maintenance and security manually, including updates of any kind.

  • After working fine for several months, my iPhone 5 has started dropping bluetooth connectivity for 2 to 5 seconds at a time with my Sony MDR-1RBT headphones.  The headphones work fine with other devices.  I haven't moved to ios7 yet.  Any ideas?

    After working fine for several months, my iPhone 5 has started dropping bluetooth connectivity for 2 to 5 seconds at a time with my Sony MDR-1RBT headphones.  The headphones work fine with other bluetooth devices.  I haven't moved to iOS7 yet.  Any ideas?

    What user troubleshooting have you done on the phone? The steps are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Understand that a restore will put the latest iOS on your device. It is also possible there is a hardware fault on the device and the Bluetooth is failing. Anything is possible given the scenario you describe.
    And as far as iOS 7.x is concerned, we have 5 different iPhones here at home, all with the latest iOS, a 4, 4s, 5c, and 2-5s and all are working just fine. So, a blanket statement such as the one provided by the other poster is not completely true. Others are not having any issues at all either.

  • Which version of Adobe Flash works properly with Mac operating systems?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=no0Fn_gIoCo
    On Xat Flash Chatrooms it freezes. I thought Adobe Flash Beta 12 would fix my problem of the chats animations and chat freezing but it only temporarily fixed it because when I rebooted my Mac it still freezes the animation and chat! The latest versions of Adobe Flash non-beta Adobe Flash 11 something freezes too! Which specific Version of ADOBE Flash works properly on Mac OSX? NONE?
    I'm on Safari Browser and Mavericks 10.9 OSX.
    Specs:
    Haswell 3.4ghz
    graphics card: gtx 760
    4 gigs of ddr3 ram
    Macbook 2009: My other mac that does it too
    Intel duo 2 core 2.13ghz
    4gigs ddr2 ram
    I believe my macbook is running Nvidia 9400m 250mb card
    So each Mac that has had this problem is running Nvidia tho I don't know if thats the problem and I doubt it is. I'm sure it's a bug in Adobe Flash and Apple not caring enough to address the problems with Adobe Flash not working properly. If the two companies can't get a long, then why doesn't apple spend a little bit of money making their own compatible Flash for their safari browser?
    My friend who is a girl that I talked to on Xat said that she has a Macbook I think from 2010 or 2011 running Mavericks and her Macbook does not freeze. Is there an explanation to why my Macbook 2009 freezes in Adobe Flash and if there's a solution to it? Is her Macbook running ati card maybe?
    This is becoming very frustrating, so I need a solution. It does this on my Macbook and my Desktop Mac both which have Nvidia gpus.

    The latest Flash 11 works fine for me on Mavericks, on every site that plays videos.
    I have no idea what Xat Flash Chatrooms is (and really have no interest), but it sounds like the issue is with that site, as Flash in general works for literally tens of millions of people on most other sites.

  • Flash works on IE 9 (64-bit) but not on IE 9 (32-bit)

    I have Windows 7 64-bit. I followed the steps in installing Flash on 64-bit for Internet Explorer. However, in some cases I need Flash to work on my 32-bit Internet Explorer and it simply isn't working. I downloaded the manual (silent) flash installer which was 64 bit and the site states that when you install the 64 bit version, the 32 bit installer will also be installed. This is correct, however when I go to for example a flash site it won't work in my 32-bit Internet Explorer. The thing that confuses me is that it shows up in my add-ons in 32 bit Internet Explorer and it is enabled but nothing that requires flash works!
    Does anyone have a solution please, because I have tried everything, including using the uninstaller and downloading a variety of versions.
    Thanks.

    This is so annoying!! For example, when I'm on my internet explorer 64-bit browser, I go to download and install flash. I proceed to download it and when I double click to install, the installer just deletes itself?? This is so weird, I tried the same with the 32-bit browser and it also deletes itself. The only way I got flash to instlal for internet explorer was by visiting the archived downloads page and downloading the full zip file, however after this, Flash only works in 64-bit internet explorer not 32-bit internet explorer. I have tried absolutely everything from using the uninstaller, removing program files then reinstalling again but still no fix! Surely, someone can help.
    I found another thread where someone had the same problem as me but got it to work somehow. This is the thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4225581. He managed to fix it from a link someone provided him which is no longer available. Please, I need someones help!
    Thanks.

  • Embed + compiler define works different with air 3.7+ comparing to 3.5

    Hello.
    I've noticed that new compiler works differently when using construct Embed with conditional compilation (comoiler define option).
    It looks like new compiler always embeds files in output swf even if Embed construct is used in dead code. Here is full example:
    package {
      import flash.display.MovieClip;
      public class Main extends MovieClip {
        CONFIG::FOO {
          [Embed(source="foo.mp3")]
          public static var MusicTrack: Class;
        CONFIG::BAR {
          [Embed(source="bar.mp3")]
          public static var MusicTrack: Class;
    I have 2 files: foo.mp3 (~2MB) and bar.mp3 (~2.3MB). I want to embed only one of them defining CONFIG::FOO as true and CONFIG::BAR as false.
    When I compile it using AIR 3.5 with following command I get (as expected) file with size ~2.0MB:
    /opt/adobe_sdks/flex_sdk_4.6_AIR_3.5/bin/mxmlc -compiler.source-path . -swf-version 14 -define=CONFIG::FOO,true -define=CONFIG::BAR,false -o Main.swf -- Main.as
    /private/tmp/bug/Main.swf (2030814 bytes)
    But when I use newer AIR sdk (I tried with 3.7, 3.8 and 4.0 beta) I'm getting file with size ~4.3MB.
    /opt/adobe_sdks/AIR_4.0/bin/mxmlc -compiler.source-path . -swf-version 14 -define=CONFIG::FOO,true -define=CONFIG::BAR,false -o Main.swf -- Main.as
    4328386 bytes written to /private/tmp/bug/Main.swf in 9,634 seconds
    Is it expected behaviour? Is there any chance that new compiler will work in this case the same as older one?

    Another difference I encountered is that using compiler definition directly in Embed construction doesn't work. Here is example:
    public class Assets {
      [Embed(source=CONFIG::MUSIC_MP3_PATH)]
      public static var MusicTrack: Class;
    Then I pass option to the compiler:
    -define=CONFIG::MUSIC_MP3_PATH,"'sfx/music.mp3'"
    With AIR 3.5 SDK it works fine. With AIR 3.7, 3.8 and 4.0 beta I'm getting file which is smaller in size (by mp3 file size) and when running I get error: TypeError: Error #1007: Instantiation attempted on a non-constructor. (when it tries to create new instance of MusicTrack).

  • How do i make flash work with FF26 and Win8.1?

    I understand that Windows 8.1 is now controlling Adobe Flash, but have been unable to find a way to make Flash work in FF26. All I find is a bunch of fingerpointing from each company at one of the other companies involved. There is no comprehensive explanation and nothing from any of the three to indicate a fix for the problem.
    What is going on? When is the problem going to be fixed or how do I fix it now.
    FF is the only browser I want to use, not IE.
    Please post something concerning FF stance and/or solution to being held captive by IE!

    OK, well I finally figured out how to make it work.
    Windows 8.1 would not update Flash, as it said it didn't need to be updated.
    In FF when you tried to install the plugin for Flash, Windows would block.
    I had tried to install the downloaded .exe version of flash but that was also blocked from installing, so I tried the .msi version of the plugin version of flash, and low and behold it loaded and flash now works in FF26.
    You need to download the plugin-based version with the .msi extension, make sure FF is not running before install.
    The link to the correct Adobe page is:
    [http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html Download MSI Installer for Plugin-based Browsers]

  • Will Flash work in Windows 7, 64-bit?

    I just saw the thread about a 64-bit version.  Is this why the current version it won't work on my new computer with 64-bit Windows 7?

    Hi, Using the IE browser, go up to Help, click on About Internet Explorer, if you see x86, then you are using the 32bit browser, which is the default version.  Adobe Flash Player is not yet supported for the 64bit browser.
    So this means you Uninstall/Install Flash Player using the 32bit browser. Following are a couple of links that gives some
    info on this 32bit/64bit confusion.

  • Flash works fine – but causes Safari to crash!

    Hi.
    I've searched a bit, and can't seem to find this exact issue.
    I'm running the latest Safari on 10.6.1, and for the last ten days or so, certain websites have been crashing Safari. I cannot recall installing anything new that caused it, although I did install ClickToFlash a few weeks prior to this happening.
    This seems to be different than the run-of-the-mill 'Flash crashed Safari' problem, in that Flash works fine. I can use YouTube, I can see other videos (Vimeo, etc.,) I can play games…
    What does crash Safari are certain websites, most noticeably for me is by bank's login page. I'll enter my name and password, and bam… hang. Uninstall Flash, and the website works perfectly.
    I've tried: Uninstall and reinstall of Flash (with permission repairs each time); deleting preferences; clearing caches; made a new user account (still happened).
    A couple of additional notes:
    • The same thing happened in Chrome; so I imagine this is a Flash problem, not a Safari problem. Still, it's a strange problem in that Flash works fine – something else is triggering it.
    • This may help narrow it down: After deleting the preferences, Safari defaults back to the 'welcome to Safari page ( http://www.apple.com/safari/welcome/ ). This page, too, crashes when Youtube is installed.
    Any suggestions?

    **Are you running Snow Leoaprd or Leopard? You changed your profile....
    Try uninstalling and reinstalling a new copy of flash just in case. Adobe can be notorious for corrupted downloads.

    Make sure and repair disk permissions after the installation.
    Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
    Might want to try Mac maintenance...
    Mac OS X: How to force background maintenance tasks (logs and temporary items)
    As I suggested previously, make sure there aren't any Safari add ons causing a conflict.

  • Several browser background for the same website

    I am currently designing a photo website which has several parts for the different "themes" and "countries" of my pictures. I want each of these themes to have a specific browser background, but it seems everytime I download one browser background it erases the other ones (show up as white). Is it possible to have several browser backgrounds for the same website ?

    Dear Ramakanth,
    In material master  "Availability check" is already set to "02 - Individ.requirements"
    It doesn't solve the problem. Aren't there any otherway to achieve this requirement??
