FlashBuilder 4.5 premium cannot open FLA

Hello:
I just installed the trial version of FlashBuilder 4.5 preminum
Everytime I try to open a FLA file in FlashBuilder 4.5 I get  a messagebox that says "Windows cannot open 'Flash', Make sure you type the name correctly and try again'.
What gives?

Hi,
The path to <installation directory>/lib should be in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH (or equivalent, it depends on your platform).
How do I solve an unsatisfied link error when using DB XML's Java API: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/berkeley-db/faq/xml_faq.html#24

I am running IE 11 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Service Pack 1. When I attempt to install Flash Player, it goes through all of the steps, tells me the player is installed, and welcomes me. I cannot open the player and it does not appear in the Start Menu, Task Manager, System Tray, or anywhere else. When I try to open a file, the site tells me Flash player is not installed. I have even downloaded it to a separate folder and ran the install with IE shut down completely. And Shockwave in ENABLED but in 32 bit .I have been trying to get this to work for about 3 weeks now.  HELP!!!

Flash Player is a browser add-on, not an executable program.
If you need to open a local SWF file you will need the standalone player (Projector) from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you will need to make the file association manually.

  • I had Microsoft Office installed in my Macbook Air by one of the technicians in the store, it was working fine the first week but after that it started popping a notice saying it cannot verify my suscription online and now I cannot open any documents?

I just bought a Macbook Air almost a month now. When I bought it, the technician installed Microsoft Office 365 as they were having a promotion at the time. However after a week of using it, it started popping up a notice saying that it cannot verify Microsoft Office. I still managed to open the word document but as of today, it will not open. I took it to the Mac store last week, and they said that there was nothing wrong with it and they could not figure out any problem.
I don't know what to do and I am in desperate need of help. I cannot open my documents at all and I have my research paper that I need to finish writing. This is very disappointing and extremely stressful for me. If anyone has any suggestions of how this can be fixed, please let me know. I do not want to lose my hard work =(

Microsoft Office 365 is a subscription - based service. You have to pay for it... and keep paying for it... and paying for it... as in 365 days a year... or lose your hard work.
Office Home Premium is a mere $10 a month, but a convenient annual subscription is only $100 a year. This is a substantial discount to Microsoft's Office 365 business products ($150 / employee / year).
Such a deal! Are you not absolutely thrilled?
Here are some slightly more reasonable alternatives, all of which are compatible with their Office equivalents:
    LibreOffice (donation-supported)
NeoOffice ($10 but older version is free if you can find it)
    OpenOffice (completely free)
    Numbers ($19.99)
    Pages ($19.99)

  • Cannot open apps.  Clicking on icon in CC desktop does nothing.  Anyone, anyone....?

So, for days now, I cannot open my apps in CC.  When I click on the icon (Br, Lr, Ps) in the desktop CC, nothing happens.
    Nothing.
The apps have little green checkmarks next to them that say they're updated.
And my account is all paid up.
    Getting a little annoyed.
Waited for 30 mins yesterday & about as long a couple of days before on Chat & never got a rep.
    thanks!

  • Cannot open files in PSE6

I'm getting this message: Cannot open 'C:\Owner\Pictures\2010 03 13\_DSC3466-edited-1-copy.tif'  because it is the wrong type of file.  What does it mean by the wrong type of file?
    OS- Vista Home Premium
I just downloaded the "free" trial of Lightroom 2 and CS4 to see which one (if any) that I liked best.  Ever since I did the downloads I've been having challenges getting PSE6 to even come up.  Any suggestions?
One more message that I keep getting is that I need to uninstall and re-install CoreFoundation.dll.  Why do I keep getting the message and how do I do it?

Try resetting/deleting the preferences and try launchng PSE again

  • Cannot open pdf files

I cannot open pdf files from the internet.  I just get a small white cross in a black background in the top left hand corner of the screen.  This is not just from one website but happens with all.  Advice please.  I am using Windows 7 Home Premium and Internet Explorer as the browser and have the latest Adobe.

    Richvan2, welcome to the forum.
The first thing you should do is run your antivirus program.  It could be a virus.
Then, you should download the latest version of Adobe Reader.  It may be a glitch in the current version on your computer.

  • File cannot open

It's weird and I can't understand this problem! I bring some
files from my work computer to my home computer and I have Flash 8
in both places but when I try to a) open the swf/html files - they
don't work b) open the fla files - I get an "file cannot open"
error. I have the latest versions of player and Flash 8 installed!
This is driving me crazy! Has anyone heard of this bug? What
should I do. I'm not able to continue working on stuff at home
    because of this.
    Thanks!
    -Amy Lee

we see it here all the time actually - could be corrupt files
    - probably being corrupted due to the
method you are using to transport them - are you using some
kind of flash drive or portable device?

Successfully downloaded Reader on to my PC (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit).    However, I cannot open any adobe documents,    Message indicates missing plug-ins. Please help... Thank you,

    Hey Joseph Curcio,
You might be viewing the PDFs in your browser only where Adobe Reader plug-in is disabled.
Please try opening the PDF file using Adobe Reader and then check.
Let me know in which browser are you trying to view the PDFs so that I can help you out enabling the required plug-ins.

  • Cannot open Premiere Elements 9

I downloaded and installed the 30-day trial version of Premiere Elements 9. The installtion went fine. I can open the Organizer, however, I cannot open the rest of the features. I get these five error messages (in order), all of which begin with "Cannot Load Module": Chorus effect, dehaupt MatchGuide, dehaupt CVtoMIDI_CC, dehaupt MIDI message mapper, and dehaupt MatchGate.
I called help and was very disappointed to hear that they cannot give phone assistance (even from India) for trials. I was sent here. Here's my computer information:
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
    Processor: Intel Core 2 CPU,  4400 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~ 2.0GHz
    2GB RAM
    DirectX 11
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Meantime, manually go to Windows Update and ensure you have even the non-critical updates. And, per the program's instructions, go to Apple.com and ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime.
Also, if you're using Norton 360, take it off your machine as soon as possible and replace it with the free Microsoft Security Essentials.
You may also want to do some basic computer maintenance. Even new computers can be full of junk files and registry problems.
Here's what I do every week and recommend in my books. It keeps my computer running like the day I got it!

  • Crash - Cannot open XFL

I'm rather new to Flash.  In fact, I'm a student and this is the first class that I've even used any of the CS6 products.  Here is my problem...
I was working on a project for class.  In the process of saving, Flash crashed and left me a mdmp file.  Now I cannot open the XFL file at all.  The SWF still works, but that doesn't help since I'm not finished working on this project.  Any suggestions on what I can do to get this file open and working?

    Thanks for the reply.
This is exactly what I ended up doing.  I used a program to decompile the swf into a fla file.  It wasn't perfect, but at least I didn't have to start from scratch.  All of my graphics were there.  I just had to adjust the layers and add my ActionScript back in.
I had been saving every few changes, but I didn't save it with different version names.  I've definitely learned my lesson!
    Thanks again!

  • I installed windows 7 recently and also Adobre reader XI, and now I cannot open any of my previously created pdfs. Every time I get the message: Error opening the file. Access denied. What is going on?

Recently I had to install windows 7 in my notebook because XP doesn't have more support. Before installing I backed up all my files to my external HD. Now that I instaleed windows 7 and also installed Acrobat Reader XI, I just cannot open any of my pdf files created prior to installing windows 7.
Looking for help online, I found the solution of security and giving me access as an administrator to all my files, but it still keeps the same...
Can some one please help me out?? I really need to work on many of this files ASAP.
Thank you all in advance for you attention,
    Best,
    Henrique
