Flashed 1.81 bios to resolve new castle temp problems, board now does not post help.

I have a K8T NEO-FIS2R mb with 3000+ athlon 64. Proc ID utility tells me that is the newcastle CPU.

It indicates a beta bios 1.81 that lowers the processor temp. for newcastle procs. I have built my own computers for 10 years and am always interested in patching bios to fix issues. I read the replies and didn't see anyone with any irriversible problems. So I used the Windows flash utility in live update to apply 1.81. After it applied and rebooted the board no longer posts (or at least it doesn't get as far as initializing the video). I get power led and IDE led lit up. They flash every 5 or 10 seconds which looks to me like the mb is in some sort of reset loop? Anyway, I get no video, no beep codes. I tried the ctrl-home trick, but it doesn't even get far enough to access floppy drive so I seem to not be able to recover from this mistake. Anyone have any suggestions? I even had this machine on a UPS so I know there were no power interuptions. I guess I will avoid Live Update from now on and do it the old fashioned way. Worst part is I was running on the system for 8 months and no stability problems, but I was just interested in running it at a lower temp to prolong the life of my CPU :-(

Already tried uplougging my sata HD from power as well as CDROM. I don't think that its overloaded. It's not really flashing so much as a very short flicker as if it is resetting every 5 or 10 seconds. This is just a theory since it never gets to booting off the floppy or displaying video. I will try unplugged PS for a few minutes and see what happens. I don't think that my PS coincidentally fried at the same time that I flashed my bios, but I suppose stranger things have happened. Perhaps I'll try a different PS. Thanks for your suggestions, keep them coming.

flashing psu light means overvoltage/load prob try removing any etra fans drives etc to lighten psu load see if that makes a diff............

After using Live Update to flash my Bios to the new version, the computer does not POST. The Bios Flash was successful - it rebooted and started normally. When I tried to restart it the normal way, it will not boot. The fans run when the "power on" button is pressed but nothing more. I cleared the CMOS using the jumpers but the problem was not solved. Can any one help?
Can some good Samaritan give me a step by step method to resolve this problem?

I followed the link you provided and managed to resolved it:
1) Removed one memory stick and floppy;
2) Cleared CMOS and rebooted successfully;
3) Inserted floppy and reverted to the previous BIOS;
4) Inserted the other memory stick and brought system back to full power again.

You are referring to OFFICE 2010, not Windows XP or 7.
And which version of Windows do you have?
NEVER begin before you have a backup, ideally one you have tested and know works.
You don't really install Boot Camp, the Assistant is a partition tool utility.
You may just want Office 2008 for Mac.
If you need Office for Windows, perhaps run Windows in a VM like Parallels or Fusion.
Buy some backup drives and start using TimeMachine for one backup, then weekly backup with SuperDuper.
IF there is now a partition for Windows, all you need is to buy Windows, and I would recommend Windows 7 Home Premium (retail) which is about US$149.
Has nothing to do with free space. Office 2010 isn't to boot from. In fact, you can copy the disc to a folder (1.25GB) and run SETUP from there.

Bought a new Ipod touch and the WiFi does not connect. Tried Reset and total Restore, does not connect to Router on DHCP, tried Static manually and still can not get it to connect even though it registers as connected.

Using Airport for router, latest firmware, no problems with Iphone 4 or Macbook Pro or any other internet devices. After total Restore (factory settings) tried again, showed connected to router, but does not display "check" next to router but little rotating icon even though the wifi range signal shows connected at full strength and it says it is connected. Just can't seem to get it to generate an IP. Any solutions other than turning it on and off again? Not a Merry Christmas morning.

Ok, so, a couple of things: Denisefromwaleska and I have the exact same size/type/color iPod. Now wishing I'd bought the black one maybe...
Second, Airport is an Express and I have a second one that I carry with me when I travel. Tried to connect my Airport Express to the internet and could not although the iPod did recognize the router and tried to connect to the internet for some time, unlike my previous problem. Updated firmware on my travel router, still could not connect to the internet. Going to try to set up a manual Static IP on the travel router here in a few and conect through it although I predict the problem will persist. Back on the Christmas Present Airport Express router, it is back in play and working fine for all devices save the iPod.

When I try to create a new Message on my Mac, Messages does not bring up my Contacts

I have followed the instructions to setup Messages, I can send messages to the email addresses that I have memorized, but when I try to create a new Message on my Mac, Messages does not bring up my Contacts when I type in the search field for a person that has an iPad or iPhone.
This sems out of sorts for an Apple product. Their stuff normally just works.
For some reason, My Mac Mini with Mountain Lion doesn't recognize my contact names, or it isn't synched with my contacts...
Anybody else want to weigh in, please?

I would point out that I did say...
Of course the Contacts List has to have people listed in it.
The Error seems to be that you have not even got an My Card.
The OS when the computer is brand new and you set up the first Admin Account should create at least once Card entry for the Address Book/Contacts which has the Head and Shoulders icon (the My Card)
The does presume the the first account on the Mac doers have a person's First name and Last name to work with.
Of course not everyone sets things up this way.
Anyhow
To Check the Contacts List open the app.
Go to the Preferences.
Go to the Accounts section.
This should list at least two "accounts
One is for Syncing with iCloud and the other is for storing the Info on the Mac itself
In System Preferences > iCloud you can only set up one Apple ID to be the iCloud ID.
If you do or have changed this you may have extra accounts in the Contacts > Preferences > Accounts

Easy solution for restoring lost calendar informaiton, thank goodness. On your iPhone, go to settings, then to iCloud. If your Calendar selection is turned off, turn it on. Your info should restore. If your Calendar selection is turned on, then turn it off. Choose to save calendars when asked. After it shuts the Calendar off, turn it back on. Your info should be restored.
Thank you to Apple support for walking me through this. Shame on you Apple for not just telling people about this easy fix rather than making us go through all of this pain and worry.

There is no license required for iWeb. Just do a Wyodor suggested and you'll be ready to go. If you're running Lion however, consider the following:
In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.

Did you use the generic installer or the win32 one ? You should use the former with Win64.
You can also check that your version of Java is supported in the certification matrix.
