Flashing a Corrupted bios when the alternate bios still works

Now that many motherboards are coming out with a back up bios, many people are asking about how to flash the failed bios. (BIOS A & B)
All you need to do is download the bios you want to flash, then using a fat32 formated usb stick, run the forum bios flashing tool.

Do not begin this process unless your computer is 100% stable! Many bios failures are due to faulty ram etc, if you corrupt your "good" bios the board is dead!
1.) Remove any overclock you have.
2.) Boot using the working bios, with the memory stick inserted into the usb port.
3.) As soon as the flashing tool screen comes up and you need to input,reach down and switch to the nonworking bios. (DO NOT SWITCH FROM BIO A TO B UNTIL THE FLASHING TOOL HAS LOADED)
4.) Proceed with FLASH.
*This relates and has been tested on all mainboard with a true hardware switch. Z77a-gd80, M-Power, Big Bang X-power, X79a etc)
Note: If you use the above process with a z77a-gd65, it will appear that it has worked. The bios won't ACTUALLY switch unless the system is powered down. IE You will have it set to bio "b" after a power down and flash the bios. You then re-boot and switch to bios "A" and flash. In reality, you have just re-flashed bios "B" and wont see the difference until you actually power down the system. A re-boot will not switch the bios's!
Process for P67, Z68 and z77a-gd65:
Since the P67 & Z68 both have automatic software switches that operate their dual bios's, the process is a bit different.
If you want to flash both bios's or you see the led indicator showing a corrupt bios, you do a normal bios flash with a single extra step.
After a standard bios flash/ you realize one of your bios's are corrupted, enter bios and navigate to the security section and enable multi bios flashing. Save & Exit, and the board handles the rest.
Note: This will NOT work if you want to flash backwards. Multi bios update will flash to the most recent version installed. So if you have the P67 & Z68 make sure you don't flash your backup bios unless you are really sure you like the new one.
In the case of the z77-gd65 you are still able to achieve this, but you must flash your bios, power off the machine, switch the bios switch then flash again.
Z77A-GD65 Update:
In regards to the Z77A-GD65, it appears that the only bios the has a properly working multi bios update is version 10.5.
I would recommend to most of you to flash you bios "B" to this bios for recovery if nessesary. I am sure this will be corrected, but for now this seems to be true.
Also to note, you should always keep your back up bios at the earliest stable bios version so that it is a fail safe. Flashing both bios at the same time is really counter productive.

All new release mainboards (Z87) with multiple bios's are equipped with a true hardware switch. So the same process to recover a faulty bios remains the same as Z77a-gd80 onward.

Delete memory Id when the session is still active

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how to clear the Memory Id when the session is still active.
I am getting the amount value through Memory Id from import and export parameter when I am posting the check. Again if I reprint the check without closing the session the amount value is getting double evertimes.
If I delete from Memory Id I am not able to see any amount value while posting for first time.
Can anyone suggest me how to proceed further.

Looks like you are not clearing the variables before and after that logic. Clear them and try.

By "control pad" do you mean "trackpad?" If the trackpad has stopped working then press the Power button and hold it down for 5-10 seconds. This will shutdown the computer. Insert the installer disc then restart the computer. After the chime press and hold down the "C" key until the computer starts up and you see the spinning gear. Then:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First you should try logging out of your iTunes Store account (settings > iTunes Store > accounts) and then back in again.
If that doesn't help, try resetting the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings). You should also try restarting your router.
If both of the above don't help, you should try a restore (Settings > General > Reset > Restore).

Restoring Vista O/S from Win 8.1 upgrade. Will the restore disks still work?

My HP G60 came with Vista. It has been upgraded to Windows 8.1 but the audio function has become non-functional. Is there a need for a new driver to solve this issue? If not, I am thinking of restoring Vista from restore disks. Can the restore disks still work now that it has Windows 8.1 in it?

Restoring with Recovery Disks with work and take back the system to Windows Vista. However, If you need drivers, please follow these steps:
1. In the Run box type devmgmt.msc.
2. Unknown devices would be listed as such and marked out with a yellow question mark.
3. Select the unknown device or other device for which you need drivers and right click to access Properties.
4. In the Properties window click on Details tab and select Device Instance Id or Hardware ID from the drop down.
5. An alphanumeric string like this PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_7130&SUBSYS_012F1025&REV_01\4&6B16D5B&0&33F0 is the identification marker for the device.
6. Please provide this number so that we can suggest the appropriate driver.

After automaticly updated to the version 7 the extensions page in the Add-ons Manager went blank and give this sentence "you don't have any add-ons of this type installed" but all the add-ons still working in the program

At this point it's likely that the iPhone has suffered damage and you'll have to take or send it to Apple for replacement. If you have AppleCare+ coverage on the iPhone, the cost will be US $49. Otherwise the cost will be US $229.

Will apple replace a broken screen if the iPod itself still works fine?

I dropped my iPod and the screen is totally shattered but the iPod itself still works with everyday use and it still syncs with my computer. Will apple replace this for free?

Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee (damage is not covered under the iPod's warranty); see the Repair Pricing section here:

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair".

Clean the lens first.
No add on is going to "fix" a broken camera if that is the case.
The only real solution would be to take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

Hi, I tried to install the update of the BIOS:
BIOS update for Satellite A100/A105, Satellite M110/M115, and Tecra A7
but unfortunatelly when it start to be installed, a blue window shous up, the laptop resets and never start again. I can turn on the laptop and enter to the BIOS, but unfortunatelly when the Hard Drive try to start to work, it doesn't do nothing, just show a completly black screen. I tried to install windows again from CD, but after press any key for start from CD, the screen goes black and no more happens, until I press the power on button for more than a couple of seconds.
My laptop is A105-S4004 and I has windows XP.
Please, if you have any solution please let me know. I really feel very comfortable with Toshiba Laptops since I study in the university but this fact give me a very bad experience with this.

like recommended by tempro, I updated BIOS from ver.2.1 to 2.2 (windows-Version). After rebooting, touchpad incl. tips doesnt work anymore. In bios touchpad is enabled, in system it says unit is working properly. FN/F9 makes no effect. Reinstalling synaptics drivers - no effect - still dead.

I cant imagine that this happened due the BIOS update. Have you tried reinstalling Windows by using Toshiba recovery disk?
This BIOS downgrade can only be done from an authorized service provider. The technicians can install every version because they have such special tools to make a downgrade.
On the Toshiba website you can find a list of them. Just give the guys and ask for that. They will help you! :)
