Flashing loading effect? White to black.

Hi, My webite is all on a black background. When the pages load a flashing effect occurs due to the change from white to black background, can I change this White color to create a smoother transition from page to page?
At the moment I have the surround page area as black and the page color as black. Thanks

I have resolved the issue. Select a black background blank template to start with.

    I have downloaded flash player. I still get a white or black screen. What should I do now?

    Try downloading Chrome, the browser from Google, and see if you can view YouTube, etc., videos. If so, there's likely a problem with your Flash plugin. Which browser are you using now? If Safari, go under the Help menu to "Installed Plug-ins" and make sure that you see "Shockwave Flash".
    Also, if you've just installed Flash, make sure that you restart Safari.

  • InDesign printing to PDF results in white "highlight" effect behind PLAIN black text.

    InDesign printing to PDF booklet spreads results in white "highlight" effect behind PLAIN black text. There are no text effects like drop shadows or transparency. Some of the text is in it's own shape above a semi-transparent shape, but not all.
    Exporting to PDF does not cause this problem, just printing to pdf. I cannot use the exported pdf as I need the full booklet spreads. Help!

    In addition to vinny38's advise to not print to PDF, you may not even need printer's spreads, unless you are printing this yourself. If you are sending this off press, the prepress team will want to do the imposition themselves. If you are printing to a network copier, some have the ability to do booklet printing from a multi-page PDF saved in single-page reader's spreads (one page for each page of the document, rather than two document pages for each PDF page).
    If you do need to print this yourself and if you have to impose it in InDesign, consider making a new document and placing the pages of your original document onto the pages of the new document, the way you would place any other images. You can decide where the pages have to go in order to get printer's spreads, and when you're done imposing, export as a PDF and print that PDF to your printer. You will get a better-quality PDF than printing to PDF.

  • Iphone 6 plus screen flashing white and black

    My iPhone 6 Plus 16Gb suddenly started to show screen artifacs, like flashing with white and black, so I can't see the springboard only black and white screen. Restart of the phone didn't help. Even when the phone is booting, Apple logo doesn't appear and then again flashes. As it seems on background everything is working, as I can receive sms and phone calls. It is just the screen. iPhobe 6 Plus is brand new, I've been using it for 1 week and it never dropped. No physical damage, no nothing, just flashing

    Have you tried a Reset by holding down the Sleep / Wake Button and the Home Button at the same time until the white Apple logo appears, then let go of the buttons, but wait until the Reset completes and you are back at your lock-screen?  If this doesn't work then do you have a computer with the current version of iTunes?  If yes and you already have a Backup of your Media and Data on iCloud or iTunes, then you can put the iPhone in DFU Mode.  Don't do this unless you have a Backup and also have a computer with the latest iTunes.  You will need your Apple ID and Password.  To go to DFU Mode you can hold the Home button while you plug the Lightning Cable into the iPhone, a graphic will appear on the iPhone screen showing that you need to connect to iTunes.  At that point just connect the iPhone via the Lightning Cable with USB into your Computer.  Open the iTunes App on the Computer and wait until a button appears representing the connected iPhone.  Then click on the iPhone button on the iTunes screen and it should open to the Summary page.  At that point you can Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings and bring it up as A New Phone.  The iPhone should screen should then show Hello and you will need to connect to your WiFi via your Router WiFi Password and then answer all the question put forth by the iPhone.  When the "Lets Get Started" occurs you can thoroughly check out the iPhone to make sure it is all OK.  When satisfied that things are good, you can plug into the computer and iTunes and this time Restore from Backup.  or if you Backup is in iCloud you can Restore over the air.

  • Flash of short white line when screen is black

    Hi,
    I have a 15-inch MBP, late 2008. Lately I've noticed that when the left side of the screen is (almost) entirely black, flashes of short white lines will flicker on the screen.
    To demonstrate what I mean, please go here:
    http://www.sfu.ca/~jca49/screenProblem.html
    That above webpage has no content, except the background is completely black. When I view it in Safari and maximize the window to full screen, as in, the left edge of the page is touching the left edge of the screen, I get flashes of white lines.
    This happens in other instances where the left part of the screen is displaying something completely black as well (ie: if I have a complete black image opened in photoshop and I am in fullscreen view mode).
    I hope I was clear on explaining the problem. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'm a first time mac owner. What are the steps to go through to get this repaired? (If it needs to be repaired, I mean). I live in Vancouver, Canada, but I bought my MBP through Apple.ca. Does anyone know how long it might take if I need to get it repaired?
    Thank you.

    I had that on my first unibody MBP (bought in october). Machine was replaced with another that had the BSOD issue. 3rd machine runs perfectly so far.
    Basically, return it until you get a perfectly functioning machine. Call apple care and describe the problem to them. I did that with my online order and had no problems. Good Luck.

  • HT1349 The iPhone 4S setting (white on black) it is so cool! But one thing that I don't know if Apple is aware of this glitch or not, but they need to fix it, when you go to that mode every picture and every icon go to negative view, has anyone experience

    One very COOL feature on iPhone 4S that I just discovered, is the (White on Black) display mode, which is so cool and atrictive. When you go to that mode, every picture on the iPhone, facebook, icons and every other applications that displays a picture are effected, native or installed Apps. that displays a picture goes in to negative view, if you want to view your pictures, you have to go back to the default setting, very disappointing.
    This is a very cool feature and Apple needs to find a way that all photos are immune and preserved from the conversion when a user switches to that mode.
    Love to hear your comments and suggestions and I'm sure that Apple developers can come up with a solution to fix the glitch.

    The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a leter version installed.

    Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • Why doesn't the 3-way CC do anything when I click on "white" or "black"??

    Hey y'all! I'm new here from FCP7. I don't know if this is normal or if I'm missing something but I definitely can't seem to be able to figure it out and it's driving me crazy!
    I have noticed that the 3way color corrector doesn't do much when I click on an area that's supposed to be "white" or "black". So I thought I'd do some testing. In photoshop I created a 3-color image (black, white, & 50% grey) and then applied a blue tint to it. Then imported the tinted image in both Premiere and FCP7.
    Here's the result in PrPro:
    Here's the result in FCP7:
    This is what I do:
    - i apply the 3-way color corrector in PrPro
    - i click on the little "highlights" eye dropper
    - click on the white portion of the image
    The result? Nothing.
    I do the same for the midtones and the shadows. And I end up with what you see in the first image on the left.
    When I do exactly the same in FCP7 you can see it gets rid of the blue tint and I end up with an image that is exactly what white/black/midtones should look...
    WHAT AM I MISSING IN PREMIERE PRO???

    Now we're starting to get somewhere!
    Robmbrown, I love the color tests you just did. I will make sure to change those values in my preset as well.
    Neil, I have not worked with SpeedGrade yet so I can't comment on that. However, I do know that if I use Sg then every time I want to make any adjustments to my image I will have to go through Sg again. That's one more app I have to use, one more step I have to do, one more project to manage, and after all that - I still have no control of the image once I'm back inside my editing application and every time I want to make a quick change to it I have to go through the process again. And when you have to do that a bunch of times every day while working with tight deadlines where every minute counts and you have your clients sitting next to you waiting then that workflow is just not an option for you. You need a quick/powerful/working 3 way color correction tool inside your editing application and you need it right then and there. Anything less than that is just not worth it. Currently, Premiere does not have that.
    Kevin, please don't get me wrong. There are many features in Premiere Pro that I absolutely LOVE! The rate stretch tool is so much fun and such a time-saver! The ability to customize so many things and, as we just saw, create my own 3 way color corrector is amazing. However, I would trade all these amazing tools and features any day for an application that can give me the basic tools I need to edit my projects quickly yet professionally. This week I had to uninstall and re-install all the CC apps because Sg wasn't working and Premiere was freezing whenever I tried to scale a clip up or move it. After I did that, Premiere is still acting up but now Media Encoder also doesn't work. Next time, it's going to be After Effects... I don't want to have to rely on 5 different apps to be able to edit my projects, especially if they're so unreliable. I don't know how it was before so I don't know what progress Adobe has made on the development of all these apps. I made the switch to PP CC two months ago. I spent one month learning the software and customizing all the keyboard shortcuts and learning about all the cool features in it. I wanted to make sure that before I started complaining about anything that doesn't work it wasn't my fault for not knowing how to use the software. And if I didn't, then I would come here to learn from the pros about how it's done. But my mentality as an editor is to always find ways to do what I'm doing faster without compromising the quality of my projects. I think that's how most young editors think. For me, it either works or it doesn't. "It works BUT..." = Doesn't work. As Rob said, all these little things send the message that Adobe isn't taking this seriously. Now that I've seen both the good and the bad about Premiere it is obvious to me that this app was designed for "quick and dirty" kind of work. And if you want to get "professional" you have to use a bunch of other apps along with it which never work so you're pretty much stuck no matter what. Yes, I know that there are LOTS of people on here who have no problems with the apps working. But there are also JUST AS MANY people who are posting every day about something not working in some app. You're only as strong as your weakest link and, unfortunately for Adobe, it has way too many weak leaks in its chain and the strong ones just can't make up for them...
    Anyway, this discussion has gone from a simple question about a filter into the whole philosophy of Adobe and the truth is we can keep talking about that stuff for days. So if you'll excuse me, I now need to go learn AVID. Hopefully, I have a different experience there. Good luck everyone and thanks for your help!!

  • I have upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6 and found that all folders/files/pics have pixelated (either white or black) patterns on them. But it turns out fine when i open up the affected files/folders/pics. And this phenomenon persists after updating software.

    I have upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6 and found that all folders/files/pics in my disk drive have 'dotted' (either white or black) patterns on them. But it turns out fine when I open up the affected files/folders/pics. And this phenomenon persisted even after updating to the latest software. I proceeded to upgrade to 10.8 and updated the latest software thinking that this might resolve the problem but still stays the same way as it was. Could it be the Adobe flash player that is causing this problem? Please help.

  • White and black point vs ??

    I never know which forum to post these things, so I'll start with the photographers.
    <br />
    <br />These three shots are as follows: (1) the camera raw version, (2) where I moved the sliders from the ends to approximately the beginning/end of the major portion of the histogram, and (3) using the threshold control to find the white and black points in the main part of the picture.
    <br />
    <br />Then, in the two adjusted versions, I lightened the image with the curves control.
    <br />
    <br />In both these cases, I used the grey dropper to touch the same spot on one of the rocks, to get the apparent neutral point.
    <br />
    <br />It seems to me that the threshold method to find the white and black points is preferred, based on the overall color and appearance of the finished adjustment.
    <br />
    <br />But, I've found on some images where the histogram has missing black and missing white, if I adjust the sliders to these two ends, I get pretty much the same outcome, as far as the contrast, color, and grey point.
    <br />
    <br />Could I have some advice on the preferred method to use in handling my image adjustments? Doing it the threshold method takes more time, and sometimes it's difficult to find the white and black points, or even the grey point.
    <br />
    <br />Thanks.

    Yes the image was purposely underexposed. What I was trying to accomplish was to speed up the shutter speed to remove the slight blurring and compensate by pulling data from the shadows. Even though the lens has an image stabilizer the amount of light wasn't enough for a proper sharp shot.
    this image is before touch up
    These two images are F/5.6, 1/20, ISO 800
    After touch up
    Better lit scene but shows slight motion blur
    This last image is F/5.6, 1/4, ISO 800
    I believe that I will have to wait next year and hope I have a faster lens by then. I just don't think the 28mm-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens is fast enough. I was trying this without a tripod to get in tighter.
    Also I was taking these shots without the flash to get the drama of the tree lights.
    What I would have prefer is a shutter speed of 1/125 or better as it helps with my hands shaking I believe the slowest should be 1/60
    And the lower the ISO the better for noise.
    These preferences are what I am used to with my Canon G3 that does not have IS.
    I am getting so off track here, lol. But anyways, here are the pictures.

  • PDF files scanned at B & W print to an HP 2055dn Postscript printer as white on black

    PDF files scanned at B & W print to an HP 2055dn Postscript printer as white on black. Non postscript printers print the same file correctly. This is the case with three different scanners. Scanning the same sheets into greyscale prints fine with all printers.
    HP claims it is not a problem with their printers. Someone from Fujitsu (makers of Scansnap) said to "
    Verify that Advance Emit Transfer (print correction function for the Mac print table) is unchecked. Go to Print > Advanced Emit Transfer Function and click to uncheck. " but I can't seem to find anything like that at all.
    I really prefer to scan in B & W, as I have to scan several hundred pages and the resulting file is both smaller and higher quality than the grayscale files, but I can't print them at home; I have to use the printer at work and that really isn't appropriate.

    Hi,
    Can you try some experiments please - or tell us if you have tried them.
    1) Load a new image (one that hasn't been saved before) into the editor and without saving it, try printing from the editor. It is important that PSE hasn't saved it.
    2) Load any image into the editor and do a Save for Web (you may have to reduce the size) in JPG format and see if you can print that JPG either from PSE or another program.
    Please let us know the results.

  • IWeb page loads half white, please help!

    Hello everyone, I have a very annoying problem. I have the background on my iWeb page set to black, but nine times out of ten when I visit it online, the bottom part of the page loads white. I refresh and I refresh and it keeps doing it, then eventually it goes away after the millionth refresh. But sometimes it doesn't appear at all.
    How can I make it so that the page always loads with a completely black background?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    As far as I can tell it is an minor annoyance I have seen this in my own websites from time to time as well as other CSS websites created with something other than iWeb. But, so far I have only experienced this in Safari.

  • Handling colour: working in red, white and black

    I've got a music video project which was shot (HDV) in very rich colour in the inside of an old car with red leather seats, and it's well styled. I want to do something a little different with the colour in post - by saturating the reds, whites and blacks and desaturating the rest, to land up with an un-natural look that will suit the style of the production. Is there a way to selectively desaturate and work with colour in certain frequency spectrums rather that mids/highlights? This tends to put a colour cast over the entire image, which I don't want.

    Well you sure picked the three worst colors to work with!
    Search this forum for "pleasantville effect" and crack open the manual to read all about the threeway color corrector and "limit effect"
    Have a blast.

  • Help! Won't load past white screen!!

    I need help please! My curve won't load past the white loading blackberry screen. I downloaded an app from the app store and it crashed my phone.  I called my carriers tech support but they are backed up and it might be a days before they can get back to me.

    Jenn, If your BlackBerry stays powered off with a white or black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life might be the blinking red LED light in the top corner. Nothing seems to wake it up and Desktop Manager doesn't recognize any device is connected.
    1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    2) On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
    "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
    3) The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
    4) In the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN". Click the "Next" button.
    5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
    NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
    Just select the appropriate carrier and network type, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the above steps again and you should be on the right path.
