Flashing Red Dot on Location in Map

Hey there,
Does anyone know how to create a flashing red dot around a
location in a map? Here's an example of what I'm talking about in
case you think it's gibberish!

That map was rendered in Adobe FLASH program.
A simpler alternative would be a GIF animation.

Yep, it the phone is switched off, there is no way to locate it. What you're looking at is the last located position, which will be available for 24 hours.

Because you can text does not mean you can locate.
Tow possiblities off the top of my head:
Location Services turned off (check in Settings > Location Services)
Restrictions are set for location (check in Settings > General > Restrictions)

There is a red dot next to where my front camera is located. What is it

I don't know why but as I was looking at my phone this morning, I noticed a little red dot next to my front camera. I'm not sure what this is & how I need to fix it.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "front" camera. Is it the one that you use for selfies, or the one that you take pictures of other stuff with?
If it's the one on the back of the camera (the side that doesn't have the screen) that's the rangefinder.

Little red dots appear in SWF

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with this
or has any suggestions. I have a timeline animation with very
little coding in it. When I publish it, little red dots appear here
and there over areas that are just a black background (at least
that's where I can see them in the SWF). They appear consistently
in the same locations and patterns, but there's nothing in FLA that
should be causing this. I'm using CS3, and publishing to Flash
player 8, as2. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Thank you for your answer, because I never would have
suspected it was the movement causing it, since usually there's no
problem. It was an animated text object which had animation for
position, scale and alpha. There are gradients in other objects on
the stage, so maybe that's not helping either. It's strange,
because I animate things all the time without artifacts. I tried
settings all the parameters to integers, but it's still doing it,
so I'll just change the animation for this sequence to something
that doesn't do that. Thanks, again! :)

Blackberry LED light keeps flashing red

Yesterday Vodacom Care gave me a new Q5 device - i had a Q5 for 2 months and the phone just went dead - so they replaced it . Now my Q5 LED light keeps flashing red and it's a NEW PHONE ??? - make it stop please !

Follow the steps below to try and bring the BlackBerry Q5 back to life:
Ensure that BlackBerry Link is installed on the PC or Mac OS
Ensure the computer has an internet connection.
Launch the BlackBerry Link Software.
Note: A backup of the BlackBerry device should be tried before a reload.
Turn off the BlackBerry device. Make sure there are no flashing LEDs and that the LCD is not still being lit by the backlight. If there are any flashing LEDs, hold the power button for 15 seconds until the LEDs stop.
Connect the BlackBerry device to the computer.
When prompted with Cannot communicate with device, click Restore and then click yes allow the update to be downloaded and installed on the BlackBerry device.
If the restore button is not seen press the vertical dots in the lower right corner of BlackBerry Link and select disconnected device. Highlight the disconnected device you are working with and attempt steps 4 to 6 again.
If the issue still persists, then I suggest contacting your network service provider for repair options.

How can I drop the previous locations on maps?

Best I could find for now, although it didn't automatically fix the problem:
- Click on your "Current Location" dot
- Click on Info icon in the little pop-up window
- Click the "Report a Problem" button
- Choose "Information is incorrect" from the dropdown menu on top
- You can change your "Current Location" address info here, which I'm assuming will be sent to Apple. It didn't automatically change the information for me, but at least I was able to send a specific report about it.

Large outside Junction/Control box has flashing red light - bad or normal?

There is a Verizon outside box that is large with a flashing red light on its side. It appears to be a junction or control box mounted on the ground. It has been there for years and I do not remember seeing a flashing red light until now. Plus, my DSL connection has been dropping recently. Can a tech rep from Verizon High Speed Internet answer? These boxes are called Remote Terminals, and yes it is for DSL. The flashing light probably means that the battery backup has failed, so it shouldn't really affect your DSL unless your power goes out. And even then, the battery backup is only to power the voice line to make calls.
I would call 1-800-VERIZON and choose the option about "repair." I've had luck with getting poles replaced/repaired that way. Say that there's a flashing red light on the remote terminal, give the street address, and also give the central office you're out of (IE, your area code and first 3 digits of your phone number should tell the rep where you are). Also, stop by it and see if you can find any writing/markings on that, and tell them that too. Be as specific as possible. Make sure you get a ticket number from them, and make sure they have a call back number.
There was a tree laying on a wire near me, and I made sure I got a repair ticket; the next day a tech called me to say he was headed out that way and asked specific details about the location, what was wrong, etc. A few days later the tree was gone.

Tiny red dot appears only when I make a call. It's located above the speaker. I know its the proximity sensor.
But it shouldnt light up right? Anyone else have this problem?
I notice it for quite awhile now, but now it's getting me.

I appear to have the same problem whereby the red dot appears on the phone icon without no messages being present and I do not appear to be able to reset/remove it, enven though I have followed all the various threads posted above, thus the red dot pursues, aka the "scarlet pimpernail"!
If only I could reset it I would be really happy but no joy and I don't fancy performing a re-install of the IOS (7), so for now I'm having to live with it unless anyone out there know how to remove the "Scarlet Pimpernail"

Any further options for fixing a network extender with flashing red sys light?

I've been using my network extender without any problem for a few years. Well, except it always had stopped working on occasion (maybe every 6 months) and I would have to toggle it back and forth between open access and managed on the Verizon site to get it working. That was fine, but this time it's been stuck on a slowly flashing red sys light. The power, gps, and wan lights are all solid blue. Eventually it will seem to start over with the cycle of leds but end up again at all blue except a slow flashing red sys light.
That was months ago and I've been struggling with it ever since with no luck. I tried calling support a couple of times but could never navigate through to any appropriate option for network extenders. Both times the automated system couldn't figure out what my issue was and hung up on me.
I tried power cycling my cable modem and router. I've tried the open/manage setting change on the My Verizon page for the extender. I've verified my router settings, though no equipment has been changed. I even tried assigning an IP to the network extender and configuring the correct ports for it (found a list of the port numbers somewhere else on this site). I've of course tried leaving it off for a bit.. 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 10 hours, and ultimately a month or so. Nothing makes a difference and I'm still stuck with a slow flashing red sys light. It's frustrating as I general manage only 1 signal bar even at best in the house or around the yard. It's hardly usable even though the Verizon coverage map shows solid coverage all over my house and neighborhood.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Did the network extender simply die? Is there any way to diagnose that for certain?

I just really wish they would have the courtesy to post on here, Facebook, Twitter, whatever, wherever, but to just let us know that there is a problem, they are aware of it, and are working to fix it.
For a communications company, so far I have not seen that they have any communication skills.

I retned a movie from Itunes using my I phone; however, I can't see the movie listed under videos, nor does it appear in my I tunes library on my laptop. on my itunes store app, there is a "1" inside the red dot that is blinking.

ah, ok yes i did do that last night. I just did it again and relized that ther is a "Downloads" tab. I selected it and stated that there was a download error. I'm currently retrying it now. and it is now showing in my videos.

How do I remove red dot update from App Store icon

I just updated nine iPhone apps via iTunes during a recent sync of my iPhone (5s OSv8.1.2). Update and sync both went fine without a hitch. However, the App Store icon on my iPhone still has a red notification dot with a number 9. I've gone into the app, selected Updates, and noticed that all nine apps are listed there with an "Open" box next to them. I've opened each app and each works fine. I've powered off the phone; same problem.

Hello, I finally went to the App Store support who rang me back and went through it. It seems that Mountain Lion will not operate iPhoto 9.3.2, you have to have 9.4.2. So trashed the application in my Applications folder (which has cleared my App Store of the hanging iPhoto updater) and they signposted me to the download for 9.4.2 (mind you it is taking hours to download!!) I live in hope that this will fix it. If it doesn't I'll let you know!

Contact your carrier. Voice Mail is a carrier function, and setup and management differs from carrier to carrier.
