Flashing red light on my ACS 4.1

Hello, I have a flashing red light on my ACS. I have searched on Cisco.com to see what this meant and how I can fix it. I am aware that it is a critical error on the system health for my ACS. But what exactly does that mean? How can I figure out what is the problem before it becomes a big issue. Any help is well appreciated! Thanks!!

  • My Curve won't turn on and no sign of flashing red light

    Hi!
I m all new to this blackberry forum thing....anyway i have a blackberry curve and all of a sudden yesterday it just stopped working. when i looked at the phone the screen was all white so i took out the battery and put it back on thinking that it will come back up but it didnt. Then i took the battery out again and plugged it to the USB(without the battery) because ususally it comes back up, but it still didnt. i put the battery again and plugged it to the USB thinking that it needs to charge but still no since of that flashing red light. I took the battery out and put my friends battery (cos he has a curve too) but still it didnt work. I did try holding down the power (red)button still not back on.
I just dont understand whats wrong with it, its not like i dropped it in the water or dropped it on the floor. I didnt do anything to it. It just stopped working.
Im really frustrated right now...I just dont know what to do..i hope someone can help me
    THanks!

I finally got my curve to work.  I just left it on the charger for a while and then it powered up. It seems if its a little low on power and I don't charge it relatively soon it shuts down and won't power up for awhile. I've also updated the software and cleaned out the junk files. It seems to be working fine now, go figure.

  • Bold 9930 - dead and flashing red light

Bold - Verizon 9930, died with flashing red light, non-responsive. Can connect wtih loader, re-loading latest OS for Verizon (7.1.0_rel1737_PL5.1.0.429_A7.1.0.580_Verizon_Wireless) Load fails with "application loader was unable to connect with your device" when it tries to connect with the JVM. I have tried:- fully charged known good battery (tested in another 9930)- wiping device- start without battery, insert battery when JVM message comes up- both BB desktop and Loader directly- two different PCs (no change)- different USB ports- older version of BB OS for device- many, many iterations... All end with "application loader was unable to connect with your device" Is the device scrap?  If so why?  It's not even 2 years old, out of warranty, and apparently now totally worthless.  This one is the CEO's Blackberry, and he's not happy...  If I can't resolve this, it will be the very last BB to ever see the inside of our company.  This is the second 9930 to die this way in the last 4 weeks.

    Hello,
    Firstly...

Does RIM care about these failure issues at all I wonder?
If you were hoping for a response from RIM, you have misunderstood the purpose of these forums. These are not a channel for any communications with, support from, nor escalation to RIM for anything. Rather, these are a user-to-user community of volunteers trying to help each other out amidst their own busy lives. So patience perhaps would be a good thing to have...
Nevertheless, please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
While you've already validated that your battery is good, I don't think you've tried the first part of this test:
Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
While perhaps redundant to what you've already attempted, here are a few more things to try:
KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader
KB27956 How to recover a BlackBerry smartphone from any state
    http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101-lecture-12-how-reload-operating-system-nuked-blackberry
Since you are out of warranty, your next step I suppose would be to seek in-hand support from a qualified technician to give you a proper diagnosis. Doing such at this internet distance is quite a challenge and therefore cannot replace in-hand evaluation and diagnosis.
Good luck and let us know!

  • 8800 upgrade attempt lost usage and flashing red light. No response.

Thought I'd upgrade from 4.5.011 to 4.5.018, at the suggestion of the desktop manager. Things were okay until it stopped. Fatal error message, flashing red light...nothing else. Attempted again, and again. Gentleman at BB store did the same thing. He thinks it's unrecoverable.
I've tried an overnight battery pull, apploader attempt through C and D drives, Problems with applications and software (exe v axl...) Other ideas?

I've tried it 3 times. The program erases the application and then begins loading, which gets about 20% of the way and then stops. Message is communications failure A:0x0000000E. And the red light, which was out while the process was running, comes back on. 2 flashes, stop, 2 repeat.
Point of info. The screen never came on during the erase.
    I will keep trying...thanks.

  • Large outside Junction/Control box has flashing red light - bad or normal?

There is a Verizon outside box that is large with a flashing red light on its side.  It appears to be a junction or control box mounted on the ground.  It has been there for years and I do not remember seeing a flashing red light until now.  Plus, my DSL connection has been dropping recently.  Can a tech rep from Verizon High Speed Internet answer?  Thank you for yur patience.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

These boxes are called Remote Terminals, and yes it is for DSL.  The flashing light probably means that the battery backup has failed, so it shouldn't really affect your DSL unless your power goes out.  And even then, the battery backup is only to power the voice line to make calls.
I would call 1-800-VERIZON and choose the option about "repair."  I've had luck with getting poles replaced/repaired that way.  Say that there's a flashing red light on the remote terminal, give the street address, and also give the central office you're out of (IE, your area code and first 3 digits of your phone number should tell the rep where you are).  Also, stop by it and see if you can find any writing/markings on that, and tell them that too.  Be as specific as possible.  Make sure you get a ticket number from them, and make sure they have a call back number.
There was a tree laying on a wire near me, and I made sure I got a repair ticket; the next day a tech called me to say he was headed out that way and asked specific details about the location, what was wrong, etc.   A few days later the tree was gone.

  • Flashing Red Light Quit Working

My flashing red light on the front of my 8350i has stopped working.  You know, the one to notify you you've missed a call or have an unread email, etc.  I've only had it about 2 weeks & was working fine until Friday.  It quit working so I took the battery out & put it back in - nothing. Tried again on Saturday morning when it still wasn't working & it started working again...for a while.  Now it's not working again.  Haven't called tech support yet - anyone have any suggestions?

  • My ipod shuffle 2nd gen suddenly stops playing music after 15-20 mins.First it flashes green light and then flashes red light rapidly. Any solution to this ?

My ipod shuffle 2nd gen suddenly stops playing music after 15-20 mins.First it flashes green light and then flashes red light rapidly. Any solution to this ?

A 2nd gen shuffle is about six year old at this point.  The likely cause is a battery that is worn out, with greatly reduced capacity or inability to hold a charge.  The initial green light shows a good charge.  The red light means the battery is drained.
Since the shuffle still appears in iTunes, you can try doing a Restore in case the cause is related to corrupted software on the shuffle.  The Restore button is on the shuffle's Settings screen in iTunes.  This will erase the shuffle, re-install its software, and set it to default settings.
Also, when the light becomes red and the shuffle stops playing, try turning OFF the shuffle for at least ten seconds.  Then, turn it back ON.  This resets the shuffle.  Does it play again?  If it does, let it play until it no longer plays again.  Repeat turning it OFF and ON until it no longer plays.  Then, connect it to power and charge it to full.  See if that makes any difference.
If that does not help, the solution is to replace the battery.  If you have a repair shop do it, the cost is probably uneconomical, compared to the cost of a brand new 4th gen shuffle ($50) that has more features, and a new set of headphones, plus a one-year warranty.
If you are good at such things, this web site has repair guides

    Hello jvzaveri,
    Welcome to the Blackberry Community,
As you said you tried to update the device software with desktop loader and The Desktop unable to Connect the device . I think you you have to use force detection of your device using application loader. Here is the Article of KB
which might be usefull to you How to Force the detection of Blackberry Smartphone using Application Loader .
There may be some software issue, try not to install too many apps ,install only that you really needs. Try it and let us Know.

  • Z1 compact wont turn on, three vibrations, flashing red light

phone wont turn on, tried the red button off button, tried the power and volume button, when in charge it keeps vibrating 3 times and flashing a red light, what can I do?

I had same problem too. It was about some water that got into my phone's inside even though every covers were thoroughly closed. What I was doing that opened every covers and taken out all of cards (MicroSD and Sim), then I left it to dry out in windy place nearly to my window. I had waited for few hours while it was completely drying out... but it still wasn't working, then I had blown strongly into to the openings in 3-4 times and finally it's turned on and working now as it was working.

  • 4G LTE Mobile MiFi 4501L - flashing red light

A few nights ago I was connected to the internet with my mobile hotspot, I lost connection and noticed the Red LED was flashing.
So far I've tried powered down the unit.
    Removed the batery.
    Removed the SIM card.
Did a hard re-boot using the button inside the case.
Nothing seems to work, I can see the device from my laptop at home and my laptop from work. When I try to connect it says connected but it is not.
I tried to update the software on the unit from my laptop but it can't find the device, even when it says it's connected?
I also notice the it shows no signal strength on the display, in a place that should have full strength?
It is just over 1 year old, the guy at the Verizon store suggested I upgrade...I can't see upgrading if the equipment will not last the life of the contract.

RED lights mean your SIM card is not properly installed or activated.
Play around with the SIM card and see if you can get it to register with the MiFi.  There should be a small example on how to insert the SIM on the black tab that is securring the SIM card right now.  VZW can send you a replacement SIM card if you cannot get it resolved.  Worst case scenario you can have VZW swap the MiFi itself for another if you are covered under the warranty.

  • A strange flashing red light problem on the 8100.

    Blackberry Pearl 8100
Problem: Usually after using it for the first time after several hours of non-use it will shut off unexpectedly, flash me the red light twice, and then allow me to turn it back on to a long load up. Battery power is fine. No data loss. No unexpected behavior beyond that.
    Should I wipe it?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

I have never seen or heard of a 2008 shipping with, or supporting, 512MB DIMMs, I guess you may try, but then those would be the slower 667MHz FBDIMMs probably, and not 800MHz.
It would have shipped with 2 x 1GB with one on each Riser, but then to install a full set, move one, and install pairs on a Riser.
People have had bad memory show with half its correct amount.

  • Flashing red light

Someone told me that if the power light on a Toshiba tube TV is flashing red, that meant the tube was damaged beyond repair.  Is this true?

While certain LED codes can indicate that a television needs servicing, I don't think any LED code will indicate that a television is damaged beyond repair. What model has the red flashing LED?

  • HH5 Flashing Red light issues

    hello,
experiencing strange issues with a BT Infinity 2 circuit at my property.
    Symptoms:
    * 3 days ago the original HH5 dropped the broadband connection - it changed to an orange light with flashing red broadband symbol. No dial tone when the RJ11 is plugged into the SSFP Infinity socket but dial tone returns as soon as RJ11 unplugged.
    * reported to BT and after typical troubleshooting they decided to send a replacement HH5 out
    * whilst waiting for this I borrowed a Draytek 2850 from work and decided to test on the circuit - bizarrely this was able to connect to BT Infinity (albeit at around 45581 Kbps instead of 75000 Kbps i was getting last week) and dial tone present on phone
    * replacement HH5 arrived today, plugged in and exactly the same symptoms as original HH5
any ideas what could be going on?
    thanks
    Michael

Does your phone work if just conencted to test socket with filter?  Try quiet line test. Dial 17070 option 2 should be quiet and best with corded phone

  • Flashing Red Light on Case

Hi there. New to MSI and this forum. Its been pretty helpfull so far so thanks for that. Now the problem Im having is that the red light(HDD Activity?) on the front of the case is flashing about every second when idle. Sometimes its just one flash at a time and sometimes its a quick double flash. Theres about a second between flashes but sometimes its a little(1/2 sec.) shorter or longer between flashes. Ive scanned it and found no virus wich was my first thought.
Im getting ready to start trying some troubleshooting but will only have a few hours today to do that stuff. Tomorrow Ill have alot more time to get even more into it.
So I thought Ide pose the question here and see if anyone has any ideas or can point me in a specific dirrection.
This system had an Asus A7A-266, Athlon 1.3 before a few days ago when I switched over to the KT4V, XP2400+, and new case.
Thanks in advance for any help and ideas guys.

Thanks Sammy. It was the RW. Unfornutatly there doesnt seem to be any firmware for my burner. HI-VAL 32x10x40(H321040A-15R) I was on hold with HI-VAL for about 20 minutes but I have to leave now to fix someone elses computer.
Im gonna try maybe switching some stuff around later but was wondering if this is an actual problem? Or just an annoyance that I can just learn to live with?
Hopefully it wont hurt anything to run over the weekend. It seems to run just fine.
