Flashlite 2.1 can't be opened from a symbian application!

We have a product demo that combines a real application and a
flash demo that is opened from the Symbian application. the old
flashlite 2.0 plyers that wehre unique per IM number worked
perfectly. the new flashlite 2.1 player that is not phone specific
is not "recognized" by the symbian application and the flash is not
triggered from the Symbian application.
What has chaned in the new player and why can't I open it
from a symbian application?

Spreadsheet can't be opened from iCloud

It will not open on any of my devices (iPhone, iMac, MacBook Pro, or iPad). I have the latest OS and iWorks installed on all devices. Seemed to start with a conflict message stating that the file hadn't been sync'd on another device. I made a selection of which to use (the latest) and then started to get the "Spreadsheet can't be opened" message. It seems odd that there would be such a conflict since I hadn't accessed the file

Any updates? I ran into this issue today with Pages, so I restored my iPad from backup. It did NOT fix the Pages issue. In fact, it ruined Numbers as well. Over 50 documents with very important data have been wiped out. These documents are no longer in iCloud, nor are they accessible from my iPhone anymore.
When these products first came out, I was like "Great! I'll never lose any of my work again!" Yeah, right... This one issue has lost more of my work than all of my previous computer problems over the last 20 years combined......

If you go to Applications and click iChat once to highlight can you then do a Get Info ?
Apple/CMD ( or ⌘) and the i key together.
This will bring up the Info panel
Which version of iChat does it say it is ?
At OS X 10.7.3 it should be version 6.0.1
If this is OK then close the panel
Go to the Finder > Go Menu and hold th ALT key down - then Select Library from the list.
Open the Preferences folder.
Find com.apple.ichat.plist and com.apple.ichatAgent.plist plus th ones with AIM and Jabber in the File names.
Drag them all to the Trash
Restart iChat.
If iChat is NOT at version 6.0.1 then download and reinstall the COMBO version of the OS X 10.7.3 Update over what you have. (this should Update iChat)

Ever since the upgrade to Mavericks, I cannot open a Pages (or Numbers) template without being asked.....
Do you want to add this custom template to the Template Chooser? Then my only options are Cancel or Add to Template Chooser.
If I cancel, it won't open anything.
But this template is already in my Template Chooser.
So the only way to open a template in Pages (or Numbers) is to open the application first, and then click "New", and choose the template.
I can't figure out a way to open the template from outside the application, which is very very handy, rather than having to open the application every time that I want to access a template.
How can I open a template simply by clicking on it?

Any links i open from 3rd party applications do not open in firefox.

To be more precise, when i click a link, Firefox does open however it does not visit the URL. It simply opens a new session. I have started Firefox in safe mode and the problem occurs, i have reset firefox to default preferences and the problem still persists. I can see no problems in the setting of Firefox itself and have already tried all the fixes available.
I am using Firefox 29.0.1 on Fedora 20 64x

I installed Lion on my late-2009 Mac Mini a few weeks ago. Within the last week, a strange problem has cropped up. Just a few minutes after reboot, my Mac Mini stops opening applications. I can try to open applications from the dock, or the Applications folder, or Launchpad, and nothing opens. Applications that have already been opened appear to be unaffected, as long as I don't close them. If I quit an application, I cannot re-open it.
This does not appear to be related to any updates or changes. The problem began while my Mac Mini was on 10.7.1, and persisted after an upgrade to 10.7.2.

Trash can won't open from dock

hi,
i can't open my trash can from the dock. i can right click and empty it, however, if i try to double click or right click to open, it doesn't open. i can look up the trash can file in the finder, but i don't want to keep doing that. please help. =( i'm pretty limited in my mac knowledge so if you have an answer, please be explain in detail. thanks again for all your help and even reading this, i appreciate it alot. =)

Automator - Can I automate opening and closing an application?

Hi,
I am just starting to use Automator and I would like to get my computer to open a programme at a certain time and then close it again.
Finder has the action 'Launch Application' but does not have 'Quit Application'.
I have figured out how to link it to iCal, so that the application will open at a set time but I need the application to stop at a set time too.
Can anyone help?

that site has plenty of other actions listed, some even like this one, available from apple but not found on the automator downloads section of the apple.com site.
i have an app that i like to restart every few hours to clean it's cache out (it runs while i'm not at my computer), so i made a little automator action to quit the app, use the pause for x seconds, just to wait for it to clean everything out, and then launch the same app. i've saved the action, but i also made an app out of it, then i launch that app as a repeating alarm. then, after the last alarm, i made an action/app that just quits the app that i was relaunching. i know i could just use applescript in the last alarm to tell the app to quit, but it was jsut as easy to save the extra workflow/app for use with another app in the future, where applescript may not be available.

You may use the debugger (mdb) to open the core file generated by the SIGSYS trap:mdb coreThen you type::regs to list the register values at the time of the trap (in hexadecimal form).
For Sparc machines (it is more complicated on x86 machines) g1 holds the system call number, o0 holds the first argument, o1 the second one ... o5 the 6th one. (For system calls with more than 6 arguments the 7th, 8th... argument are stored on the stack.)
If g1 is 0 you know that the system call is done indirectly using SYS_syscall so the arguments are shifted (see above) and o0 holds the system call number.
You can exit mdb using::quitMartin

I can see the EF MSISDN (6F 40) under the DF Telecom directory, but the SIM mobile number (MSISDN) is not available in that file. I tried to check with various operators SIM cards, but some have given junk data or some have not at all added any record in that EF.

How can I close FF from a different application autmatically, so that FF does not think it is crashed ?

I am programmer and want to open and close Firefox according to my needs. Opening with the right url is not a problem, but closing. If I simply kill the task, FF sees it as a crash and wants to start in safe mode everytime. So what to "tell" FF, that it closes automatically without seeing it as a crah?

That's what it means. The program cannot be run on your Mac. It is old PowerPC code. You need to get a version that will run on an Intel-based Mac.
