Flashplayer 10.1.102.64 crashed under FF40B7 and Solaris 10 SPARC
Hi
sorry, my english ist not the best.
I have a problem with Firefox 4.0 Beta7 and Flashplayer 10.1.85.3 and 10.1.102.64 .
The flashplayer crashed, if i open the website from Adobe http://www.adobe.com/de .
I have also problems with other sites.
Before, i used FF3.6.12 with Flash 10.1.85.3 and i think, i have no problems with the site.
My computer is a SUN Workstation Blade 1500 Silver (SPARC 64Bit) with Solaris 10 HW5/09.
Is this a known problem?
Or, can you test this configuration?
Thanks.
Regards
juescha
Hi,
i switched to FF4.0B7, because i had also problems with FF3.6.12 .
FF3.6.12 crashed 1-3x per week.
I think, Flashplayer was the problem too.
Question:
Has anybody in the forum an SPARC-workstation or SPARC-Server with remote-access with solaris 10?
Regard
juescha

Missing data in server monitor under linux and solaris
Some metrics are not displayed in our environments, specifically under the statistics tab, request statistics, active coldfusion thread, we always have a zero line. Also under memory usage, "cf threads by memory usage" is always empty. I have all three buttons at the top checked so they are monitoring. Is there something else I'm doing wrong?
Environment 1 : dell2850->centos5->vmware->centos5->32bitJDK5->tomcat6->coldfusion8
Environment 2 : sun5120->solaris10->64bitJDK5->tomcat6->coldfusion8
I'm specifically wanting thread info to check if I should increase the defaults in CFIDE configuration. Most everything on the server is being delivered faster now that we are using a 64bit JVM and have moved to solaris in production (from windows). But there are some sections of our cfm logic that are taking much longer now (2000% longer)
Thanks
AhnjoanHi all,
does anyone can write some info why java Threads are
recorded in the list of process (ps -ef) when you run
on a Linux box, but not the same when you run on
Solaris ? Which Thread support is more
performant/stable that on Linux or that on Solaris?
Thanks
FrancescoLinux treats kernell threads as light weight processes and displays them as if they are actual processes - they of course are not, so the results of 'ps' can be misleading. Solaris fully differentiates between its three concepts of threads, lightweight processes and processes and 'ps' only shows actual processes.
Both implementations in Linux and Solaris perform well.
By the way, Solaris 8 has an optional, slightly different thread model than earlier versions of Solaris (in fact it is more like NT's) and that can be more efficient for JVM's or other multithreaded systems running on SMP systems. It can also be worse - your mileage may vary. -
I tried dowloading Skype yesterday and my Safari browser crashed. It gives the message "Safari quit while using the librooksbas.dylib plug-in. I trashed Skype but still have the browser problem. I also tried logging in under guest, and still

Unless your bank's website is insecure, you're fine. Go up to the Safari "Search" bar and type in Rapport. You'll be amazed. It may "work" on PCs, but definitely not Macs. And it's not needed for Macs. -

If you uninstall it the Lenovo software just keep reinstalling it. If you uninstall the Lenovo PM driver but do not reboot you can then open Power Manager. The minute you reboot the Lenovo software reinstallls the driver.
Why would Lenovo install software on a brand new Windows 8 laptop that is broken and useless? Tech support is absolutely no help they transfer you to the software department which wants to charge you to fix a problem that Lenovo created!!! It is crazy!! I was hoping someone here could solve this problem or maybe someone at Lenovo would see this and get the problem resolved. Tech support has been useless. I reported the problem to them at least 5 times. -
Why is Photoshop CS4 crashing under ...
... such seemingly unrelated conditions?:
When I try to convert an RGB image with layers to CMYK or grayscale
When I try to delete an adjustment layer or layer w/a vector mask by clicking on the layer palette trashcan (drag/drop, delete key and fly-out options work fine)
When I try to create/save a new workspace, or select the Basic or What's New in CS4 workspaces (all others are accessible)
When I try to flatten an RGB image w/multiple layers
Ocassionally when I close an image file in any way (mouse, menu or key stroke)
I'm running OS X 10.5.8 on a Mac Pro, Quad-Core Intel Xeon. My other CS4 apps are fine, so far, and I haven't done anything different to the system other than install updates when the updater prompts me. I uninstalled/reinstalled Photoshop five times, uninstalled/reinstalled the whole Creative Suite once, to no avail. I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts or advice ...I found 3 crashes under your name. 2 of them are uncommon, but occur in the ExtensisFontManagement plugin and appear to be due to a bug in the plugin. The first is a crash on quit, and the second is Extensis attempting to override Alerts for some odd reason, and their override fails.
The third crash cause happens more frequently, cause unknown, but it looks very, very similar to the Extensis Alert override bug.
So, try disabling the ExtensisFontManagement plugin, and I suspect your Photoshop CS4 experience will be a lot happier. -
I upgraded to mountain lion a week ago and now on startup of my macbook pro, microsoft excel and word start up automatically and then crash? very strange can anyone please help? I have checked the login items under users and groups and there is nothing.
Are you using the Office for Mac 2011 version, as you need to do? The Office for Mac 2004 is Not at all compatible with Mountain Lion, and the 2008 version has been noted to have some problems running with ML.
Hope this helps -
Php4apache.dll uses plain apache 1.3 API,this module might crash under EAPI
Hi,
I am a total PHP beginner.
I am trying to install and configure Oracle, PHP, and Apache on Windows XP. For this purpose I am trying to follow the installation guide that I found on http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/opensource/php/apache/inst_php_apache_windows.html.
I have first installed the Oracle 9i DB server on my E drive, which has by default created the following directory which contains the APACHE exe file
E:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\Apache\Apache\
(it is Apache 1.3.22)
I have downloaded php 4.3.8 from php.net and have been through the following steps given by the guide.
I have copied the php.ini and edited it (uncomment the extension=php_oci8.dll line and specified the doc_root as E:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\Apache\Apache\htdocs).
I have copied php4ts.dll and php_oci8.dll to E:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\Apache\Apache\
i have edited the httpd.conf file by adding the 3 following lines:
LoadModule php4_module e:/php-4.3.8/sapi/php4apache.dll
AddModule mod_php4.c
<IfModule mod_php4.c>AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
</IfModule>
When i start the Apache server i get:
e:/php-4.3.8/sapi/php4apache.dll/php4apache.dll uses plain apache 1.3 API, this module might crash under EAPI!
Apache seems to be working fine and to run php. The "hello world" test runs fine as well.
Is this EAPI error a problem? (some forums seem to be implying that it is not a major error but a warning)
If yes, I can I solve it?
Your help would be very much appreciated.
If needed, my email is [email protected] please feel free to use it.
FrankieIf you downloaded the binary version of PHP, then pretty much you can't do anything about it. It's just a warning. However, if you compiled and built it (using vc++ or something else), you'll have to add the EAPI flag to the compile flags (/DEAPI to CFLAGS in the vc++ project file/makefile) to remove this warning.

Hello. My card is unstable in 2d mode, randomly (not regular) driver crashing when im browsing web (display driver stopped responding and recovered...), or watching movies but is very stable under stress (i can play games, running benchmarks without problems with a couple of hours). Sometimes is strange 1 second freeze. I opening a window, then mouse and screen freeze but after that computer is fine. First of all i updated bios from 1M2 to 1M3, by using MSI Live Update. New bios have higher 2d clocks (300/1100) but now stability is even worst, and card crashing more times, even if i set unofficial overclocking mode=2 in MSI Afterburner (forced 3d clocks). No difference what driver version i use (12.1, 12,2, 12.3, 12.4, 12.5 beta) I think its related to Aero Theme but if im buying not a cheapest card i want it to be stable. I disabled hardware flash acceleration. Also i checked CPU with 12 hours Prime 95, Intel Burn Test, memory checked with Memtest and Gold Memory. Hdd have good smart, and good benchmark score in Hd Tune Pro, no bad sector. PSU pass Power supply test in OCCt 1 hour. Everything is fine. Even gpu can pass some hours with Furmark without crashes. But as i said is unstable under Windows. No difference overclocked, or not overclocked. Never crashes under heavy stress. Its annoying.

Hi!
I'm not quite sure if this is the right place to ask and if not, please point me to the right direction!
I wrote a RFC Server program (c code) which works fine under Windows but crashes under Solaris. The command where it crashes is the RfcGetData.

Firefox crashes under windows 7 on startup on only ONE account
In Windows 7. Firefox crashed in use and now crashes on restart, every time. But only on the account I was in when it crashed.
Please be clear on that --- IT WORKS IN OTHER ACCOUNTS ON THIS MACHINE. That rules out many of the suggestions I've seen for problems. It won't be a hardware problem or a driver problem if the other accounts are using the same hardware and the same drivers, and so on.
It won't start in Firefox's safe mode (hold down shift while clicking on icon -- it crashes).
I have since updated Firefox to version 23.0. Still works on other accounts, but not on this one.
I have tried disabling addons in the other accounts, and resetting them, but resetting won't affect this account.
I've run both Malwarebytes (finds nothing; in fact I run it regularly) and SuperAntiSpyware (found only tracking cookies, all of which I deleted).
Looking for crash reports, there's no actual crash IDs (nothing with 'bp-' on it), even in the one called "LastCrash" which has today's date on it.
In C:\Users\Glen\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports, the last 5 files with numbers in contain:
1376192937 - in the LastCrash file
1376188049 - earlier with todays date
1373320611 - from more than a month back
1369950890 - from months ago
1366156437
but just nothing with bp- in it
[Please note that any suggestion that needs me to start or be running Firefox doesn't work if I can't start Firefox. In searching for information I don't know how many times I've encountered instructions that tell me to do things which assume Firefox is running. So for example the section here for "Troubleshooting information" that assumes Firefox is running is pointless when Firefox won't start.
I have instead gone to another account (an Admin account) and manually grabbed troubleshooting information from there to put in -- so keep in mind that anything that relates specifically to this specific user account where I can't start Firefox from won't be there.1376188049000 = Sun, 11 Aug 2013 02:27:29 GMT

HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 Under Warranty and Support won't help
Hello,
I have my pavilion laptop suddenly have power outages. Verified that the product is under warranty and submitted a case. The helpful support responded. Closed my case. Then proceeded to tell me that I had to go to another site to submit. The link led me to exactly where they just closed the case and I could see my case I just opened marked as closed. Thanks for the help. In an email, this very helpful support person told me to navigate to chat and their directions didn't lead me to any chat. So I'm left with a product under warranty that HP has cleverly hidden all means of support and actually fulfilling the warranty.

So throwing out the case notes and hoping anyone within HP or the community can lend guidance.
roduct: HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC
Problem description: Getting multiple eventid 41 associated with sudden shutdown of computer ("The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."). I initially thought it was disk crash so replaced the hard drives and problem continues. I checked the power supply cord which was facing a recall and that appeared fine (not covered by the recall). Seems this is under warranty and this is freezing me up from doing work.

Troubleshooting steps.
Ran disk check, even after doing putting in new hard drive. No issues. Ran memory check. No issues. So memory and disk appear fine. Could be PSU based upon error code supplied. Odd w/ laptop. Forums suggested possible motherboard issue.

Technical Support Engineer,
PPS Desktop/Portable SupportHi @SteveKo ,
I sent a follow up message to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. It is possible that they may request more information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publically post ( serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

I work for HP -
a while back my computer crashed (hard drive and motherboard:/) im a DJ so its kinda a big thing. my mom has a computer whith itunes on it, i signed on with my account but how do i get the music back. i dont have it on any device, just the hard drive that crashed. can someone please helped i put soooooo much money into those songs a good 4,000 $
please someone helpHi Glenn,
You need to Authorize your Mom's computer to your iTunes sign on. Sign on to iTunes, then go to Store at the top of the screen, and select Authorize this Computer.
Then you can download your purchases from your iTunes library by going to the iTunes Store (the one in the sidebar), Music, and then under Quick Links, Purchased.
Once the Purchased window comes up, select "Not on this Computer", and then select All Songs. Your purchased songs will display with a cloud next to them, and you can download them selectively or "Download All" (lower right-hand corner).
Hope this helps!
Cheers,

0x34da000 - 0x34fefThanks for the reply. I tried each solution on the fonts troubleshooting page you sent.
It seemed to correct the problem temporarily.
But I still get crashes when I try to open and save.
Seems photoshop only crashes when I open a file in column view and it tries to "preview" the file I want to open, if that makes sense.
I might add, these are fairly large files, 3+GB each.
I guess I could just take it off column view.
Thanks.
