Flashplayer is not working!

I am unable to get flashplayer to work.  I currently have Vista (32 bit) and IE9.  It stopped working when I had IE 8 installed.  Everytime I go to a site that requires flash it prompts me to install flash.  I have done alot of research online and tried various fixes but none seem to work.  I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling flash many times both from adobe.com and from downloading the flash installer.  The install shows successful but when I go into manage addons I don't see flashplayer listed.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled shockwave player as well and also uninstalled java. When I go into C:\Windows\system32\macromed\flash I don't have an exe file to update flashplayer.  I have the following files: Flash10p.ocx, FlashInstall.log, FlashUtil10p_ActiveX.dll, FlashUtil10p_ActiveX.exe, and install.log.  When I click on the FlashUtil10p_ActiveX.exe it wants to uninstall flashplayer.  I have also uninstalled all adobe from control panel and deleted the adobe folders in the registry settings for hkey_current_users and hkey_local_machine and tried reinstalling flash but still doesn't work.  I have also verified my IE settings for security is set to medium for Internet and Trusted Sites.  In addition scripting for activex is enabled.  I have also come across a discussion of downloading and installing subinacl.msi file from microsoft and install it and extract the reset_fp.cmd file into C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools folder and then run it.  Tried to reinstall flashplayer after that and it still wouldn't work.  I am at a loss at what to do next.  Please help!

I use AVG as my antivirus and have run a scan on my hdd and it hasn't found anything.  I have also run Malwarebytes full scan and removed the couple of objects it found.  I have disabled AVG while trying to deal with flash to make sure it wasn't causing an issue and Windows Defender is turned off.  I have also run MicrosoftRegCleanv4.1aBuild7364.1.exe to clean up any bad registry values.
I have "Shockwave ActiveX Control" version 11.5.9.620 (enabled) listed in the following:
Downloaded Controls (only addon listed here)
Run without Permission
All Add-ons
I do not see anything for "Shockwave Flash Object" in any of the options.  When I have installed it both manual and from adobe download manager it says it installs successfully at 100%.
Also, I currently show Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX and Adobe Shockwave Player 11.5 in my list of installed programs.
Thanks,
Jason

  • URL for Downloading Licensed FlashPlayer Does Not Work

I reapplied for a license to distribute FlashPlayer back in October and was granted a license and a specific URL to download FlashPlayer for distribution on our intranet.  The URL does not work and instead of downloading FlashPlayer the only option is to apply for another license.  I attempted to engage Adobe via Chat and they said I have to post here, but this does not make a lot of sense since the email with the license said the URL for downloading may not be shared with anyone, hence why I am not posting here.
So have others received a license from Adobe with a non-working URL?  How did you get someone at Adobe to respond?

    Hi Eddie,
I will forward this to the Licensing folks and will post back when I have a response.

  • Flashplayer install not working because of password

I have a mac and I have repeatedly tried to download the latest version of Flashplayer. It works until I get to the last step and a box pops up asking for my password in order to complete the installation. I type in my password that I use on my Adobe account to sign in and it doesn't work. I have even changed my password and it still doesn't work. What's the issue????

    Hi,
You have to use the corresponding conversion exit (given in the Domain definition) fm to convert your dynpro field value with leading zeros.
For example, if the conversion exit is ALPHA then
    you can use fm CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT.
Pass your dynpro field value as input and take it back as output.
    OR
You can also use UNPACK if it contains only numbers,
      IF v_num CO '0123456789 '.
        UNPACK v_num TO v_num.
      ENDIF.
replace v_num with your dynpro field..
Now you can use it in your select statements..
      Hope this helps..
Please assign points and close the post if this is useful.
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Flashplayer installer not working with Windows 8.1 and Firefox

I am running Windows 8.1 and attempted to download Flashplayer for Firefox.  I have it working in IE, but it will not launch for Firefox.  Any ideas on what might be blocking the Flashplayer installer from running in Windows 8.1?

    Hi sfmedic,
Have you tried to download another installer to have a check ?
Here are several links may be helpful to troubleshoot this issue:

Considering it can be installed in the Internet Explorer ,this issue is related to the Fire Fox. It is recommended to look for help from the Fire Fox forum.

  • Is there any fix for the flashplayer installer not working on a windows 7, 64-bit, using firefox?

I Hit the download link, get the permission windows, and the flashplayer installer window comes up, but doesn't do anything. i left it up all day when i went to work, come home 12 hours later and it was still just sitting there not installing. Is there a fix for this? i have looked everywhere and nothing that i have found has worked. even the suggestions on the adobe help page doesn't work..

And you used the offline installers from the link that Andy posted:

If yes, please post the contents of the FlashInstall.log file in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

  • Adobe flashplayer is not working or showing in ad-ons list

I have, I think , the latest version of FireFox & the latest Flashplayer. I cannot get Flashplayer to work. It was working before, but then it stopped working. when I uninstalled FireFox plus all of my bookmarks, personal info, etc because I couldn't stop 'no address' pop-up tabs and windows. That just started happening after NO changes in FireFox. Even though I had uninstalled and re-installed FireFox several times saving my personal preferences.

    Your More System Details shows:
    (1) You have the Flash 12 plugin, a current version that should work.
    (2) You have an extension named Flashblock which will stop Flash from running automatically until you approve it.
If you want to change your Flashblock options, disable it, or remove it, you can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when you find FlashBlock, either use its Options, or Disable, or Remove, as you prefer.
(After disabling an extension, the next time you load the Add-ons page, it will have moved to the bottom of the list on a gray background.)
    Does that resolve it?

  • Flashplayer download not working with Safari 7

I'm on a 2013 Macbook Air and I recently tried to download and install the latest Flashplayer update directly from the Adobe website, but it doesn't work.  It does however work just fine on Firefox... weird...and that's fine I could always use Firefox from now on, but would still like to find out how to solve that problem because I DO prefer to use Safari over Firefox.  Any ideas?
    Please & Thank You!

  • My Adobe Flashplayer is not working properly when I run videos

    To whom it may concern:
My operating system is Windows 7, my bowser is Internet Explorer 10, and I have the Adobe Flash Player 11.7.700.224 installed. Any video I play freezes up for a few seconds, then plays for a few seconds, then freezes again, and this cycle continues during play mode. Can you please help me?

What do you mean "Home" button working properly? I know your iPhone 4 is a newer design then my 3GS, but the home button is used to exit an application, etc.

  • Adobe Flashplayer does not work and crashes no matter what i am using it for, help!!

I updated Firefox to its latest update and had problems with the flash player beforehand, it only crashed a few times but i was still sick of it.
I then updated the Adobe Flash Player to its recent update.
Since then, the crashing has been frequent and recently nothing has been able to stay open when it requires Adobe Flash Player.
I did go to Adobe Flash Player site and tested it for any problems and it seemed to be fine.
I hope its something as simple as a installation problem, my laptop is slightly dated so that may make a difference, too.
    Thanks support team! :)

Is it an instrument or an insert effect? My guess is you've been trying to find it amongst the insert effects, where it actually is an instrument, which can only  be loaded in the Instrument Slot.

  • Flash Player will not work even upon reinstalling it

    Hello!
I am having quite the time trying to get Adobe Flash Player
to work! Seemingly "out of nowhere", none of the youtube videos of
my nephew were visible on the site any longer, when they had
previously been working just fine. When I went to the page, using
IE7, there was a blank spot where the video should be. However, at
that time, I *was* able to view the video using FireFox. I thought
this was unusual that it would work in Firefox but no longer be
    working in IE7.
I checked to see if javascript was turned on in both browsers
    -- it was. I have javascript enabled in Firefox2 (tools/ options/
content/ enable javascript; under advanced settings "disable or
replace context menus" is checked, although I don't know if this
    applies), and in IE7 (tools/ options/ security/ custom Level/
    scripting/ active scripting/ enable).
Since this didn't seem to be the problem, the only thing I
could think of doing was to uninstall Flash Player. In my Add or
Remove Programs, I saw Adobe Flash Player ActiveX and Adobe Flash
Player Plug-In. I went to Adobe's site, and found a document
entitled "How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and
ActiveX control", which said you need to use an Adobe program for
the uninstall, which I did. I then rebooted the computer. Next I
installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player ActiveX.
When I viewed the youtube videos, they now showed just fine
    in both IE7 and Firefox.
I closed down the computer and went to bed happy it was
    fixed.
The next morning, upon startup, I was dismayed to find that
the problem had started all over again, although now the video was
no longer viewable in *either* IE7 or Firefox.
In Firefox, I see the message "Hello, you either have
JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player.
Get the latest Flash player." In IE7, I see no message; just a
    blank spot.
Again I double-checked that javascript was turned on in both.
I double-checked my Add or Remove Programs, and I can see the
Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX was installed. (And I knew it to be
working before I shut the computer down.)
I feel like I am going bananas.
Does anyone know what could be going on? Might you have any
insight as to why it would first stop working in one browser, work
in both browsers upon reinstalling it but before turning off the
computer, and then not work in either browser upon starting up the
    computer again?
Thank you so much! I just appreciate your help more than I
    can say!
    Happy day to you!
    Karen

Thanks.  This worked for me, too.
And this is what I used to do the uninstall, so I could re-install from the webpage:
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe
I placed this .exe file in this install directory . . .
    {C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash}
. . . along with a ReadMe file that contained this notation:
    <uninstall_flash_player.exe> was obtained manually from:
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/
...and not installed in this directory as part of the Flashplayer install.
This was obtained as part of an attempt to correct Flashplayer suddenly not working in MSIE.
Correcting this problem involved unistalling and re-installing Flash, but uninstalling via the normal Pgm.Accs+Dflts facility did not seem to work correctly; i.e., the subsequent re-intall failed to correct the problem: even though the download webpage indicated a successful install, the Flash animation did not appear. However, using the above .exe file does allow a truly successful subsequent re-install.

  • Why is Adobe Flashplayer not working with Apple? Do you have an other flash program you recommend?

Why is Adobe Flashplayer not working with Apple? Do you have an other flash program you recommend?

    maj-brittfromsjöbo wrote:
Thank you for your interest in Adobe Flash Player. Unfortunately Apple does not allow Flash Player to be installed on iPhone or iPad.
May I add, this is the answer I get When I try to Download Adobe Flash Player
You get the message because that is exactly the situation. Apple has not allowed any Flash on iOS devices.
What site are you trying to see? Many sites now provide Flash alternatives. For example, if you want to listen to Pandora, instead of using the Flash on the Pandora website, instead you download the Pandora app for the iPad.
In the future, even if Apple wants to add Flash to the iPad, it won't be able to because Adobe will no longer be making it at all, for any mobile device:
    http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2011/11/adobe-kills-mobile-flash/
If you often go to sites that use a lot of Flash and they don't have an alternative, you should write to them and tell them to stop using Flash.

  • Flashplayer 11.7 works in Chrome but not in IE9 or 10.

Flashplayer 11.7 works in Chrome but not in IE9 or 10. Add-on enabled, ActiveX filtering is off. Uninstalled/reinstalled. I went through the adobe help checklist to no avail. Ideas??

What operating system are you using?  Is it 32 or 64 bit?  Given that the addon appears and is "enabled", you might want to try these steps:
How do I fix Windows permission problems with Flash Player?
In addition, are you using any virus/firewall software that might be interfering?  You might want to try rebooting in safe mode with networking enabled to see if Flash works under that scenario.

  • Adobe flashplayer not working with firefox

I have downloaded the latest adobe flashplayer plugin but it is not working with Firefox. It does work on Internet Explorer.

I'm running Vista 64 bit and the current version of Flash (11. whatever) doesn't apparently work with Vista 64 bit - why, I'm not sure but this is what happens when one company dominates the market like Adobe. Anyway, I have the 10. whatever version installed now and Flash is working in Chrome and in IE. This problem occurred because I updated Firefox to version 8, after which Flash was still working with the old version installed. THEN I got the annoyingly repetitive reminder from Adobe to update Flash to 11 and finally succumbed. After updating Flash, I could no longer get sound from any online videos. So I uninstalled, found a 10. version of Flash and figured that would solve the problem since Firefox 8 WAS working before using the 10. version. Not to be. Now I can't get it to work at all. And to tell you the truth I like the old interface of Firefox 7 much better anyway. SO... how do I get 7 back and hopefully resolve this problem so that I don't have to make IE my new browser - which I'm not too crazy to do since I've been using Firefox from day 1...
