Flat file Error in conversion exit CONVERSION_EXIT_PERI6_INPUT

Hello Experts!
I´m trying to upload a flat file data to an infocube and appears an error which diagnosis is:an error ocurred in record 1 during execution of conversion exit CONVERSION_EXIT_PERI6_INPUT for field CALMONTH.
Procedure: Check That the record where the error ocurred has the correct format , and correct it accordingly.
The characteristics in this fields (CALMONTH) are:
- Data Type: numc-character string with only digits.
- Length: 6
- Convers.rout. PERI6
- Output Length 7

Hi Eduardo Vergara,
You just have to make sure the 0CALMONTH format is exactly the same. We have to match the format in the both columns. So in DataSource/Trans.Structure File CALMONTH change the Type to Numc and length o 6 . This is our problem but the tip is to match the proprieties.

Hi,
Select the column in excel
Right Click and choose format cells.
In the pop up window, the first tab is for formatting. A list will be available, there you have to choose "Date" format.
Within the date format, you will find number of options to set the formatting according to your specifications.
If that does not work out, just use "Custom" format as "mmyyyy" for all the cells in that particular column.

This error occurs with respect to the Language field. When it tries to convert the ISO language of 2 character representation to internal 1 character representation.

Hi Bhu.
I usually see this problem when the unit of measure is not set up in the system. In order for the unit of measure to pass the conversion, you will need to add the unit to the allowed list. That can be found in the IMG (transaction SPRO).

Error in conversion exit CONVERSION_EXIT_PERI7_INPUT

Hi Gurus, I am trying to load 3 external flatfiles. They are all similar files with only year difference 2006,2007 and 2008. I was able to load 2 of these files for year 2006 and 2007. Now I am getting this error message "Error in conversion exit CONVERSION_EXIT_PERI7_INPUT" and in details I get "An error occurred in record 1 during execution ofconversion exit CONVERSION_EXIT_PERI7_INPUT for field FISCPER".
This indcates the field 0FISCPER. When I check the data type it is the same for all the files. The conversion routinr PER17 is also same for all. I still do not get why I am getting this error. Does anybody have a hint on this?

There has to be something different in the 3rd file. If not the format then, data. The reason is that, the first 2 files are loaded. Try the following to confirm. If the data is similar, you should be able to load it. Take a backup of the File 2. Copy the contents of File3 into File2. Make sure that the format of all the columns are same. Now, upload File2. If data is correct, it gets loaded. Otherwise, something wrong with wither format or data. You have the backup of File2 in case something is screwed. Hope it makes some sense.

I am trying to convert a flat file to XML using the Sender File Adapter and I am getting the following error message.

First of all, let's look at the meaning of the error.

It seems that XI interpreted 2nd line as
Header_DT1 not as Item_DT1 that you meant.

That's why it says this line has more elements than the structure
defined(Header_DT1)
And the reason why XI misinterpreted the above as Header is that
you used keyFieldValue with the same value.

it says like the following.
Key Field Name
If you specified a variable number of substructures for Recordset
Structure, in other words, at least one substructure has the value
*, then the substructures must be identified by the parser from
their content. This means that a key field must be set with different
constants for the substructures. In this case, you must specify a key
field and the field name must occur in all substructures.
How about using different constants for header and item if possible?

Rdbms table to flat file: error at creation of flat file

i created a mapping in which , i want to transfer data from a rdbms table to a flat file.I created the flat file using owb and gave the location of the flat file as E:/........./folder.When i try to deploy the mapping. The flat file isnt getting created .validation and scripts are ok, but deployment is failed with the below,error.
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges.
Create failed.

With 11gR2 of OWB you will need to either grant CREATE ANY DIRECTORY privileges to the target user so that when the directory is created when the OWB connector is deployed will work. Or the other option which is more secure is to have the dba create a directory and grant read/write privs on this directory (and when creating the connector in OWB, reference this SQL directory in the database). The CREATE ANY DIRECTORY option is ok above to get up and running and understand what is going on.

But I am getting 2 SEPARATE xml messages each with only one Row in it like the following

I followed the "How to use Content Conversion in JMS Adapter " and configured the adapter,still no luck..

The parameter name sequence changes alphabetically by itself when I save and activate it eventhough I enter as it is in the document.How to stop changing this sequence or put it the order as required in the Module Processor.
Currently my sequence is
Transform.Class
Transform.ContentType
xml.conversionType
xml.documentName
xml.documentNamespace
xml.fieldFixedLengths
xml.fieldNames
xml.processFieldNames
xml.structureTitle
Let me know how to change the sequence ,if that is the issue.

While uploading data into ODS by flat file got error :
ORA-14400: inserted partition key does not map to any partition
Cause: An attempt was made to insert a record into, a range or composite range object, with a concatenated partition key that is beyond the concatenated partition bound list of the last partition -OR- an attempt was made to insert a record into a list object with a partition key that did not match the literal values specified for any of the partitions.
Action: Do not insert the key. Or, add a partition capable of accepting the key. Or, add values matching the key to a partition specification.

Flat file error : SQL :RSDU_TABLE_SPLIT_PARTITION_MSS

Hi Guys,
I have issues in flat file loading, Infopackage is failed with error.
The request is yellow in status in RSMO, though the relavane job got cancelled with "RSDU_TABLE_SPLIT_PARTITION_MSS: Error During SQL Execution for Table /BIC/FCUBE_NAME" reason.
Performed repair on the PSA table using RSRV and deleted old PSA data.
Even though, the load is getting failed.
Any help on this is appreciated.

I am experiencing similar issue, i still can't solve it, we are on SP16 with SQL 2005 platform, never experience such a problem until we have upgraded to SP16 from SP9, the following note explain explain something we do about it, but i don't like the solution. it seems SAP has handed over the infocube partition job to us to maintain rather then the system to do the job.I

Export to Flat File Error

Hi All,
I'm attempting to extract a table to a flat file. I have been successful in importing flat files, however, when trying to export I receive the following error:
SAP DBTech JDBC: [2048]: column store error: table export failed: [30109] Could not create export location
The export command I use is: export <table name> as csv into '/hana/tmp/';
The export directory above is correct and is the same location that I use to do an import. I've also tried exporting a table using File>Export> menu option. At first I received an error stating SAP DBTech JDBC: 258 (at 69): insufficient privilege.
The user I am using has both IMPORT and EXPORT privileges. I'm suspecting that some OS level permission is required. The target folder has write permissions so this should be ok.
Has anyone had any success export table contents to a csv file?

Hi Gary,
On the OS level, the <sid>adm account needs read, write and execute permissions on the /hana/tmp folder.
Make sure these permissions are set and try again. I don't see anything wrong with your export statement syntax, so I think that the folder permissions must be the issue.
