Flat Sound using head phones Qosmio X75-A7170

I have a Qosmio X75-A7170 with windows 8.1 and the software for audio is smart audio also linked wit DTS control panel and audio enhancement, if i use the headpone the audio is flat and low i see the scale of the equilizer and its barely getting up to half of the min and max range i try to unistall update everything regarding to audio and i can make it a little bit louder but nothing like my iphone or my other laptop i change the headphones and is the same my audio driver is a Conexant Smart Audio HD any ideas? thanks.

I am experiencing the same thing with my X75-A7170 and Bose Soundlink Bluetooth headphone.
I tried all the same steps, but still have the same issue.
Does anyone have a update on a resolution to this?

For some videos when i record with my webcam on my Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7170, and then place it in Premiere Pro the video seems behind the audio.
Stats about my laptop:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz
RAM: 16gb
System type: 64bit
Memory Speed: 1600 mhz
Hard Drive: 1000gb mechanical_hard_drive
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M
Graphics RAM: 3072mb
Hard Drive Rotational Speed: 7200 rpm
So the video is behind and occasionally for some reason the audio will repeat or even start over from what sounds were happening in the beginning.
The file that gets saved from recording with my webcam is .mp4. I don't know what else to say but please halp.
The video file plays like normal when i use windows media player.
I am using Premiere Pro CC v8.1

Can you please tell us which notebook model do you have?
Is some sound manager preinstalled on your notebook? You can find it in control panel. Is there something like Realtek sound manager?

Qosmio x75 A7170 Wifi trouble

Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased a laptop (model in subject line). It came with Windows 8, but I just couldn't stand using it. I then reverted back to windows 7 x64 ultimate which I used on my last laptop. I'm much more comfortable with this OS, but when I try to install many of the drivers, they simply do not load, state that the OS is not support, and in general are unusable. Unfortunately, the Wireless card appears to be affected by this as well. I have no option to use Wifi (hard wiring works great). When I try to install the wifi drivers, they unzip, I give them permission as administrator, but it stops there. They never finish installing.
As such, I'm not able to use the wireless. I'm hoping I'm not the only person who has done this, and that there is a work around somehwere.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

There are insufficient drivers at the site above for 64-bit Windows 7. But you are in luck. The European site for the equivalent part-number family (PSPLTE) has them. They are here.
The order of installation matters. So you must start over with a clean installation of Windows. Install the Intel chipset software followed by the Intel display driver. Then install the nVidia display driver and the other Intel software prior to other drivers. Install the Value Added Package before other Toshiba utilities.
after chipset installed display driver failed, intel proset installed, no other intel drivers would install. have not moved forward waiting for support.

No sound from head phones

Hi, I have the Satellite P775-s7236. My OS is Windows7 64 bit. Audio Card is Realtek. I use the latest vers. of Firefox.
My laptop manual says that I can use head phones but I have not been able to do it. I have installed all of the latest drivers, incl. Bios.
When I open the Mixer in the Volume Control, I only get the the Speaker Icon, System Sounds Icon and Firefox Speaker Icon. There is no Headphone icon. I have purchased new headphones and they work well on another computer.
In the Volume Mixer I have changed the speaker icon to the headphone icon. Nothing has helped so far. The laptop speakers work fine and I get sound everywhere except in any U-Tube Videos.
I have gone through all of the settings I can think of but can't seem to change anything. Shouldn't I have a headphone icon in the Volume- Mixer?
If you have any suggestions, I will very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Ann

Update!
Suddenly it's working!! Have been trying for days.... Don't know exactly what fixed it...Have deleted and disabled a number of Firefox Add-on's. Headphones are working great! Now the slider for the Firefox Icon in the Volume Mixer is working well.

Very low sound through head phones!

Anyone come across the very low volume level throgh any head phones on the new classic and nano?????
So much quiter than all the other ipods??????

There has been some discussion on the Classic having a lower overall volume than older iPods, especially if you have one that has a volume cap (if you live in and/or bought the iPod in Europe).
It also depends on what headphones you are using. Higher impedance means a lower volume output.

Ringtone SMS over speaker when using head phones

Apple products are basically nice product.
A problem that i have is the lack of support. Oh yeah, off course, the response is overwhelming: "Hi , this is Richard, and i'm personally helping you and understand your problem very well", and there it ends.
When i buy a PHONE for a few hundreds of dollars and can do anything i like but it lacks the following functionality, which annoys hundred of users, is basically a bug and you dont get any logical answer, then i cannot say i like the brand.
I always have my head phones connected. Yes, i know, some people may say, that it's ridiculous, but thats the way it is.
When someone calls me (yeah , its a phone right?), the ringtone is hearable over the speakers. That is very nice, so when i dont wear the 'phones i can answer the call! Now for my problem. I want the same to work for incoming text messages. No way i can get that done. Those ringtones are only hearable over the 'phones. "Well, unplug them, i hear some people say". Then you dont understand my problem.
If anybody has some logical response, i would like to hear it.

Brand new Iphone 4S will not make any sound unless head phones or dock is used.

I have tried multiple resets, checked all the settings and the slider switch on the side. I didn't notice there was no sound until I got home from the store with it.
Any ideas or do I just new to return it?

Contact are designed to be synced to a supported app on the computer or a cloud service.
All media should be in iTunes on the computer the device is synced with.
Had you not synced the previous phone with iTunes prior to taking it to Apple?

No sound from head phone

I updated the software from 10.0 to 10.2. After updating, no sound was coming from the headphone. The headphone works fine with my laptop. there is absolutely no problem with headphone. There is some problem with the phone.
Please help.

Have you tried any other headphones?

I downloaded my itunes library but when I play it I only have volume through the phone. I connect the headphones and the sounds still comes out of the headphone. How can I have it just plah on the hearphone.

Assuming you simply mistyped and you mean either that the music only plays out of the phones speaker when you plug in the headphones OR that the music plays out of the phone's speaker AND the headphones at the same time, I have to say that has never happend to me. I suggest trying a couple things though.
1st, make sure your headphones are securely in the jack. 2nd, check your headphones near the connector to make sure that there isnt any issues with the wires..i.e, frayed or crimped. 3rd, try a completely different set of headphones.
The phone should automatically turn off the speaker and "turn on" the headphones when the connection is made in the headphone jack.
I have my phone now with music playing from the built in speaker and no matter what i do with the headphones, the speaker turns off every time. I also looked at the sonds settings and don't see anything that may have caused your issue.
Let us know if you figure it out. Hopeffully someone else here has had the same problem and can give some advice.

Hi Guys Have a new mac pro and my external speakers are plugged in the line out at the back and work great
but when i want to put on a headset plugged into the front panel jack i get no sound
until i go to pref --sound and select head set option
is there any way to make the head set take over when there plugged in with out having to go to preferences

No, but if you enable the setting in "Sound" system preference to "Show volume in menu bar", you can Option-Click the icon in the menu bar to quickly change the sound output device.

I have the same problem too. I tried turning it off, and it still didn't work. If you keep your headphones in a lot, I believe that is the problem. I am no tech expert, but when you put in your headphones, it triggers something and that something might be stuck. When I turn upp my vokume when my headphones are not in, it says "headphones". Your MacBook Pro doesn't have HDMI output... it's DVI. For sound, you will need to use the headphone out/optical digital audio out port to the TV/stereo. As far as video goes, I'm confused as to what cable you're using but at one point you're converting DVI to HDMI.
