Flattening a stamp in Acrobat 9 Pro (mac)

I use a stamp for my signature in Acrobat 9 Pro (mac). After placing my stamp signature, resizing and placing on the signature line where I want it, I have been using "Preflight" and "Flatten Annotations and Form Fields" to flatten my stamp so it prints/exports/emails with the signature firmly placed.
However, recently, when I use that preflight setting the stamp is re-enlarged to the full size (from when I placed it) and moved to the middle of the document. The process is completely unusable.
Does anybody know what I am either doing wrong or what needs fixing?
I confirmed this in multiple documents.

Have you tried flattening using PDF Optimizer (under Dischard objects)?

Help needed!
How to create own dynamic stamps with Acrobat Pro X, without any knowledge of programming.
It was very easy with the program used before (Nuance); unfortunally it's not possible to export from Nuance to Acrobat.

It can't be done without using a script, and not a very simple one, either.

Why does working with Stamps cause Acrobat Pro XI to crash on close

Although other people in my organization have been experiencing crashes several times a day with Acrobat Pro XI (usually from stamping PDFs and closing Acrobat), I've just started receiving crashes after working on custom Stamps. This hasn't happened before to me. What is so special about the stamps that might be causing these crashes?
Our users using Acrobat for scanning receive the crash message "Adobe Acrobat has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi George - a few divisions have stamps with JavaScript to query user to enter a date and time document was stamped. Most of the users do not. Just a set of static signature and File stamps. The File stamps have fields that contain custom calculation scripts to always display the current date and time of stamping. This was never a problem in Acrobat 9 Pro, though. Some crashes have occured just scanning through Acrobat without touching the stamps. Thanks for the quick reply and would appreciate if you have any more I can look into.

Licensing Acrobat Pro Mac and Windows on same Mac

I have a large number Macs in our business running Creative Suite 6. A number of those operators also have a need to run LiveCycle Designer, which is a Windows only product. At present we buy addtional 4 GB RAM, VMWare Fusion and a Windows 7 licence in addition to purchasing a standalone copy of Acrobat for Windows. Is it really necessary for us to buy an additional licence for Windows Acrobat or would we be OK utilising the existing Mac Acrobat Pro licence?

If you're buying the perpetual license version of Creative Suite 6, you would have to buy separate licenses for Macintosh and Windows versions. If you're getting Creative Suite 6 through your subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud, you can mix your two eligible copies, and download both Windows and Mac versions.

Problems downloading Adobe Acrobat Pro, Mac, lost Photoshop CS5

I was loading Adobe Acrobat Pro, and as it seemed not to be downloading (taking much too long) I forced quit. It disappeared from the desktop and I can not reload. Error code 131:4 Also my Photoshop CS5 disappeared! I have it in my system but as it was loaded from Adobe due to issues with my old copy, I don't have a code to reload> Help where do I go?

Can I add a hyperlink to a stamp in acrobat pro ?

I'm working with blueprints in pdf format and I have created stamps to place on the drawings. I want to add a hyperlink to these stamps to link to another file or document. I can do this by "overlaying" the hyperlink feature. But I really want to be able to save the stamp with the hyperlink intact so I can reuse without having to go through the additional steps. Is this possible?

An alternative to consider.
Typically, a Stamp incorporates an image.
Consider using a Button.
A Button can show text, an image, or both.
A Button can be given an Action.
The choices for the Action are many.
The Action could be to go to another PDF, go to a named destination in another PDF, some specific view at some designated part of another PDF, or it could be to execute an Acrobat JavaScript.
This alternative approach permits your use of specific images and actions.
A "template" PDF could hold the inventory of Buttons.
Have it opened while working on another PDF file. Use copy-paste to select and insert the Button; then, position it.
Yes, adds time to the work flow.
However, it provides the ability to let a user "link" to a different PDF.
It becomes a question of the relative value of providing the "link" for all future users.
As George points out; a Stamp provides no "interactivity" so its use precludes providing "added value".

How do i buy a key for the Pro version and change plattform to Mac from my old Windows Licens.

You purchase the version for the Mac if that is what you want now. You cannot change your older licenses from Windows to Mac.

Cannot add stamp from Acrobat Pro XI

Certainly I'm not lost in space here, but when I attempt to insert a stamp, the stamp does not appear. The tool is there, the different stamps are all there, but when I select any one of them, I can define the area, but NO STAMP. I cannot insert sticky notes either... that might help (even though it appears I should)

Acrobat hasn't had native support for fax hardware since the world was young and computers had wheels ( http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/pressroom/pressmaterials/pdfs/acrmessenger/acrmdatasheet.p df - I do love the press office's Basement of Lost Products ).
On Windows there's a native "Fax and Scan" driver which behaves as a virtual printer and it's installed even if there's no fax hardware available - so there will be "Fax" as one of the options on your printer selection menu but unless you tell it where the hardware is it won't do anything. OS X has "Fax Utility" that behaves the same way. They are nothing to do with Adobe or Acrobat, which simply sees a B+W printer.
One thing to note - if the PDF file is secured, it may be that Acrobat is respecting a limitation on "printing" whereas Nuance is ignoring it.

Oui, pour de l'impression connectée (bureautique) ça va bien.
Sinon pour du prépresse :
- flux CMJN = PDF/X-1
- flux RVB = PDF/X-3 ou PDF/X-4

Acrobat X Pro (Mac) - Where do I find my custom dynamic stamps?

Running on Mavericks (OSX 10.9.3), Acrobat X (10.1.1)
I've added a custom stamp and now trying to make it "dynamic" by editing it with Javascript. However the stamp file is no where to be found. I've done some research and already tried looking at the following places, with no luck:
/User/Username/Library
- Library folder not found
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/11.0
- Not sure why it shows up as 11.0, since I'm running on 10.0. 11.0 Folder is empty and no other folders
/Applications/Adobe Acrobat Pro X/Contents/Plug-ins
- Plug-ins folder is empty
How do I find this elusive stamp and make it dynamic?!

Where is the stamps folder on the mac for Acrobat Pro Xl?

About a month ago I downloaded dynamic stamps for received and paid and "installed" them on a team-mates mac running OS X.
It was straight forward. I did some forum searches and it gave me instructions to copy the .PDF file with stamps containing java scripts to a folder on the mac.
Now a month later I find I need to do it on my mac. I am looking for the stamps folder on where to "install" the .PDF file again and can't seem to find the stamps folder on the mac. I tried creating the stamps folder to see if it would take and acrobat did not recognize it.
I tried using the console to find the stamps folder for user and application with no luck.
Any help would be great. I know it works because I was able to install it properly on one mac in the past, I just did not copy down the instructions and can't reproduce it.

It's in your user (Home) > Library folder. In recent versions of Mac OS X, this is hidden by default.
In the Finder, hold down the Option key first while choosing Go > Library so you can see it.
Then find it in:
Library > Application Support > Adobe > Acrobat > 11.0 > Stamps

Print to File Acrobat Pro X for OS/Mac

Opened a file and edited within Acrobat Pro X for OS/Mac.
I added stamps and text boxes.
Within Windows computer I would go to print, Adobe File.
When I do the same with in Mac, it read "Saving a PDF file when printing is not supported. Instead, choose File > Save."
When I follow this procedure, the text boxes and stamps are editable.
I want to save / print the file, so file is "locked" meaning text boxes and stamps are not editable.
How is this done???

A better approach is to flatten the flatten the pages, which converts the comment annotation appearances to regular page contents. You can do this with the following JavaScript statement executed in the interactive JavaScript console (command+J):
// Flatten all pages
flattenPages()

Problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI after installation on Mac

I just installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on my Mac. My Mac has the correct version of OS and Safari yet I can not launch Adobe. When I launch it, an error box comes up and says a problem has been reported to Adobe. That's as far as it gets. Has anyone had this problem before?

Please try the following steps and let me know.
Delete all the files from following folders:
Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLCache
And, delete all files from following folder except cache.db
Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD
Launch Acrobat and enter the serial number when prompted and check.

Acrobat Pro XI Mac 11.0.10 freezes every time I open a document

Every time I open a document in Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.10, the app freezes with a spinning beach ball. Beach ball will go for 10 minutes plus before I can't stand it and force quit. I am using Macbook Pro 15 Retina with Mavericks (OSX 10.9.5). The same document opens without issues under Windows 7 Acrobat Pro XI. I have disabled enhanced security and upgraded form 11.0.7 without any change in behavior. I have also un-installed and re-installed Acrobat from a fresh download off the internet.
I am getting ready to ask for my $$ back!! This is ridiculous, Acrobat is completely unusable under Mac.
