Fleet-Primary counters creation nd updating records in measurement document

I have made the required config for fleet management. Defined Units of measurement, Positions of measurement for fleets, and calculation method. My doubt is wen i create fleet master using ie31, how do I create the measuring positions/primary counters and assign it to the vehicles in the "Vehicle ID/Measuremnt" tab page.
Please explain me the following steps
How to create measuring points and measurement documents to  record daily Fuel consumption and distance travelled
How to calculate the consumption data on daily averge basis for short and long run.
I read the SAP Library document link but unable to understand.
please provide ur inputs, basic t-codes and step by step procedure.
thanx for ur time n input.

  • Update Record Wizard, tng_Recordset and Primary Key

    Hi - trying to make an image gallery that allows the user to add captions to each image displayed in a loop without having to send the user to a different form/detail page.
    My question is - can the tng_recordset generated by the Update Record Wizard be modified to use a field of another recordset on the same page as it's primary key?
    I.e. (on the Update Record behaviour) - Primary Key = Entered Value = {imagegalleries.galleryimages}
    this doesn't work, but it's where I'd like to be...
    The recordset 'imagegalleries' has been filtered using a URL variable that was defined as the gallery being edited.
    Hope this makes sense - have been trying for days on this.
    Dan

    I just get a blank page
    this means you´re having a PHP syntax error somewhere, and I´d recommend to always activate PHP error reporting at least on your local development server to have PHP indicate the reason why things aren´t working.
    However, when using such native PHP syntax within this context, you´ll usually need to add some more stuff around the variable -- means:
    $upd_boomcms_galleries_files->setPrimaryKey("bcms_galleryimage_id", "NUMERIC_TYPE", "VALUE", "".$row_galleryimagelist['bcms_galleryimage_id']."");
    works better now ?

  • Get error ORA-20505 and ORA-01403 when UPDATING record

    Hi,
    I'm running APEX 3.2.1, on Oracle XE 10.2.0.1, on Sun Ultra20 (Intel-based) running Windows Server 2003.
    I created a small, department database - to keep track of contacts, equipment, etc.
    Initially, I used a NUMBER as the PRIMARY KEY in both the CONTACTS table and EQUIPMENT tables. I created a CONTACTS interactive report and a CONTACT DETAILS form, where the EDIT button on a row in the CONTACTS report brings up the individual record to modify. Same thing for EQUIPMENT - interactive report page and form page.
    This all worked fine!
    Then, I decided to change the PRIMARY KEY for the CONTACTS table to a STRING - with CONTACT_FIRST_NAME and CONTACT_LAST_NAME as the primary key. I figured I this would prevent duplicate entries. After the change, inserts work. Updates work, IF a change is made to ANY field EXCEPT first name or last name.
    UPDATES fail - if user modifies EITHER the first name or last name - in APEX. But, update SUCCEEDS if done in SQL Developer. Obviously, I missing a subtle nuance in APEX, but I can't figure it out.
    I've included DEBUG trace and version information below.
    Thanks,
    Andy

    Maybe because you're changing primary key...and then updating record with primary key that doesn't exist.

  • Unable to update record in web Form

    Hi, i am unable to update record in a form. I am building a custom form using forms 6i and putting it on the web in oracle applications 11.5.9
    I used template.fmb as a starting point for my form. I have one datablock based on a table. Insert, update and delete properties are set to yes on the property pallete of data block. The table against which i am running the form has a primary key which is a combination of two fields. I am able to update a record with pure SQL running against the table.
    My form now brings back a record from the db like it should but whenever I try to update that record either by pressing Action Save or by clicking button that has update statement in it, instead of doing an update, it does an insert and tells me that this record already exists and that i entered value(s) that must be unique for each record. It thinks I want to insert but I want to update. What am i doing wrong???
    Update allowed value is set to Yes in all the items in the data block and at the data block level as well. Querly_only is set to no.
    What's even more frustratinng is that I've ran the form manually before starting with template.fmb and have been able to update the table but when I put it on the web and used template.fmb it stopped working!
    I am very new to forms, can anybody suggest anything? Please help!!!

    When you populate the 2nd block with a select into query, it's the same as just typing the data into the block. The record is treated as one needing to be inserted, not as one that is queried.
    To populate it using a true query, but with data from the LOV, you can do this:
    Programmatically set the default_where clause of the block based on the LOV. For example, if a name is chosen from the LOV in an item called LOV1, you could do:
    set_block_property('block2','default_where','name='''||:block1.lov1||'''');
    or if the LOV is a number, like a department number:
    set_block_property('block2','default_where','deptno='||:block1.lov1);
    The tricky part when you build your where clause is that you must surround strings with single quotes, and the way to do this is to use two single quotes to represent an actual single quote in the where clause. Otherwise a single quote is interpreted as part of the PL/SQL syntax.
    Then, just navigate to block 2 and execute a query:
    go_block('block2');
    do_key('execute_query');
    I hope this works for you. I didn't have time to test this, so I hope I didn't make any syntax errors when typing.

  • Update Records with XML

    Hi,
    I Understand that with XML save you can insert a row into a database however I am very confused about the ability of using XML to update a record.
    Can I use XML save to update a record? Eg if I have a primary key will it update instead of save?
    Are there any best practices for updating records when passed an XML record?
    Many Thanks

    A common way to pass data with custom events is to extend the
    event class to create a new version which has a reference to a var
    of the datatype you are passing, and then in your metadata type the
    event to your custom event class. If that makes sense
    [Event(name="customEvent", type="events.CustomEvent")]

    When using the Custom form wizard (inset and update) and
    {else} statement is inserted into the code and only the 'insert'
    button appears when I require 'insert', 'update' and 'delete'.
    Has anyone else experienced this - is there something I am
    not doing?

    Hi Glenn, I kept having the same problem this morning. What I
    finally figured out is that I wasn't using the session variables
    properly. For example. My user_ID field maps to the session
    variable name kt_login_id
    my email field maps to kt_login_user (I use my email as user
    name) and password is kt_password. I finally printed out the
    Session information from login settings in the control panel so I
    was sure to fill out the data in the update wizard correctly.
    Open up the Update Transaction panel and under the Fields
    Tab, you can see how your table fields are mapped to the session
    fields. Hope it helps.l

  • Error in updating records brought by LOV

    Hi everybody
    I am using Oracle 10 g
    when fetching data from the database by choosing a specific record from LOV then trying to make "save" means "commit" I have this error
    FRM-40509: Oracle error: unable to update record
    I think there is a problem in mapping btw the record in the form and the cursor pointing to that record in the database because when i execute "next_recod" button after choosing one in LOV it go to the record next the one specified before choosing from LOV
    knowing that updating process working correctly when choosing by ("first_record, previous_record, next_record or last_record)
    so what is the solution
    please help
    thank you very much

    yes please
    I didn't know what do you mean by customized or default menu
    I build LOV using the wizard and bind it by a query to a table then make Show_LOV from the form
    so when I choose one of the rows and they brought to the text boxes assigend to them after that when I make "Commit" I got that error
    thank you for help
    and sorry for bieng late in reply, I don't have enternet after 2:00 pm

  • Mapping problem with compressed key update record

    Hi, could you please advise?
    I'm getting the following problem:
    About a week ago replicat abened with "Error in mapping" error. I found in discard file some record looking like:
    filed1 = NULL
    field2 =
    field3 =
    field4 =
    field5 =
    datefield = -04-09 00:00:00
    field6 =
    field8 =
    field9 = NULL
    field10 =
    Where filed9 = @GETENV("GGHEADER", "COMMITTIMESTAM"), field10 = = @GETENV("GGHEADER", "COMMITTIMESTAM"), others are table fields mapped by USEDEFAULTS
    So I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record at 2012-06-01 15:44
    I guess I need to mention that extract failed in 5 minuts before it with: VAM function VAMRead returned unexpected result: error 600 - VAM Client Report <[CFileInfo::Read] Timeout expired after 10 retries with 1000 ms delay, waiting to read transaction log or backup files. To control retry delay time, use SETENV (GGS_CacheRetryDelay = n). handle: 0000000000000398 ReadFile GetLastError:997 Wait GetLastError:997>.
    I don't know if it has ther same source as data corruption, could you tell me if it is?
    Well, I created new extract, starting 2012-06-01 15:30 to check if there was something with extract at the time, but got the same error.
    If I run extract beging at 15:52 it starts and works.
    But well, I got another one today. Data didn't look that bad, but yet one column came with null value:( And I'm using it as a key column, so I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record again:(
    I'm replicating from SQL Server 2008 to Oracle 11g.
    I'm actually using NOCOMPRESSUPDATES in Extract.
    CDC is enabled for all tables replicated. The only thing is that it is enabled not by ADD TRANDATA command, but by SQL Server sys.sp_cdc_enable_table, does it matter?
    Could you please advise why does it happen?

    Well, the problem begins somewhere in extract or before extract, may be in transaction log, I don't know:(

    Regards,

    The SCRP_CODE column has a NOT NULL constraint. The ORA-01407 error is telling you that you cannot update or set a value for this column to null because of the constraint. This has absolutely nothing to do with an index. You can use a marker/sentinel value in lieu of using NULL. For a numeric field, where everything is positive, a negative value (-1) can be decoded as meaning null. For a character field, a code such as NA can represent NULL.
    This also has nothing to do (directly) with GoldenGate failing because of this error. The underlying SQL statement will fail everywhere, regardless of the tool or application. It is not a case of failing only in GoldenGate.

    Hi All,
    We are getting the following error during creation of Info record for pipeline material
    " Material XXXXX is not a pipline material"
    we have checked the material master  and found it is a pipeline material.
    Kindly advice on the same.
    Help in any form will be rewarded.
    Best Regards
    Arihanth

    Hi Arahanth,
       The steps u need to check are;
    1) The Material Type ( If standard then it is PIPE or if defined own Material Type check the settings once preferably in special material type a tick at pipeline mandatory)
    2) when u create the info record (ME11) ensure the info category is selected as pipeline.
    Hope its clear to u
    if solved do reward me points
