Flex 10 touchscreen doesn't work

Hi guys! I bought one week ago in Italy a Flex 10 with Windows 8.1...it works fine for like 20minutes, then touchscreen stop to work and I can only use the touchpad or mouse...then if I reboot the system the touchscreen works again and stops after 20minutes again..is it broken? needs to bring back to the shop?

I just need you to make sure from the below:
1) Ensure that you are running the latest drivers.
2) Try to remove any USB attach devices to check for conflicts or potential interference (some USB devices could cause electrical "noise" that can affect touchscreen operation.

Flex 3 GA Designer doesn't work with my modules

This is absolutely critical to our application.
In Flex 3 Beta I had no issues doing this, in Flex 3 GA it
does not work and I'm wondering if any of you have seen this issue.
I have extended Module to MyModule and added code that I
need. My Flex builder is setup into three projects. AppProject,
ModuleProject, and FrameworkProject.
My Framework is compiled to myframework.swc and is in the lib
folder of both ModuleProject and AppProject. Both have the swc
correctly setup in the project properties.
When I open one of my Modules in code view it works great.
But when I go over to design view I get an error message in the
middle of the design view with the the text "An unknown item is
declared as the root of your MXML document. Switch to source mode
to correct it." The root node is MyModule and correctly namespaced.
Proof of this is that it compiles and runs fine. Only does not work
in design view of FlexBuilder
In the Problems view of FlexBuilder shows a warning: Design
mode: Cannot load myframework.swc (reason: ERROR: Load Verify). It
may require classes (such as Adobe AIR components) that are not
supported by design mode. Check the Eclipse error log for more
details."
This used to come up just fine in design view with Flex 3
beta and now does not in Flex 3 GA. In Flex 3 GA, if I remove
myframework.swc from my ModuleProject and instead add a new source
link that points to the src folder of my FrameworkProject it works.
But I don't want to have to setup my ModuleProject this way because
our customers will be able to build their own Modules based off of
our Framework and I don't want to give them anything more than a
swc.
Our entire application is based heavily on this. Our
customers will use FlexBuilder to design their own forms, compile
them to swf modules and our application will load and process them.
The code in our framework is proprietary and we only want to give
them a swc, not our code.
Any suggestions?

Have you switched the SDK in FB? If so, you may be seeing
this bug:
error logged when change compiler to Flex 2.0.1 hotfix3 for a
project which has Flex 3 swc in its lib path, warning remains in
problem panel after switch compiler back to Flex 3 SDK

As in the Comments section of the bug, one way to work around
the issue is to close and reopen the project.
If that's not what you're seeing and you've files & steps
that can reproduce the issue, please log a bug at
http://bugs.adobe.com/flex
and let me know or email me the files and reproducible steps. We'll
have to reproduce the issue first before our engineers can fix it.

Flex 4, Webservice client doesn't work after publishing in a web.

Hi,
I have a webservice written using gSoap and c.
I'm using Flex 4 as a client to this webserivce.
They both hosted on a same server and under the same domain.
Flex client works fine under both debug and release builds running locally on my development PC.
If I copy a relese build to www - webservice stops working.
"onLoad" event never fires.
After calling any method of mx:Webservice nothing happends, not "result" nor "fault".
I didn't receive any error messages or other hints.
Any help's suggested.

AUUUGH! Same issue for me.
I try testing in the simulator and I can skip ahead or back to previous menus... but once I burn the project to a physical DVD, I get the "NOT PERMITTED" warning when I try to skip a story or go back. I basically have to wait. All buttons except SELECT and MENU are disabled.
WHAT THE #&$% IS GOING ON...???
I am in DVDSP 4.1.2 on a MacPro.
This is URGENT. My client is coming TOMORROW to get the changes and I cannot get them to be controlled...!!!

Flex mode doesn't work with beat mapping?

If I turn Flex Mode on for Region A, and make a tempo change in the Tempo Track, the tempo slows down and the number of beats in the region stays the same, as expected. However, if I create the same change in the Tempo Track by dragging a point on the beat ruler in the Beat Mapping track to a transient in Region B on another track, the tempo of Region A does not change.
If I turn Region A into an Apple Loop, turn Flex Mode off, and go through the same beat mapping process the tempo for Region A slows down, as expected.
So Flex Mode does not appear to work with beat mapping. Is this a bug or a feature?

Well, no it probably won't work because the phone is locked so there is nothing you can do.
You won't be able to activate it, so you might never be able to use it.
You have been dishonest here and if you found a phone, then someone had obviously lost it, so you should have handed it in to the police rather than keeping it for yourself.
You probably won't be able to use the phone because it sounds like the phone is locked to the carrier in Muaritius and if you don't own the phone and don't have a contract, then that carrier will problably not unlock the phone for you, so you now have a paperweight that you can't use.
You get no help here for dishonest practices and you won't be able to activate or use that phone.

S11 flex Bluetooth doesn't work with IOS 7

Unit connects but sound plays through iPhone or iPad. S11 is not available (even though connected) in Airplay Listing. If I hold down mute button SIRI come on through head set. If I tell SIRI to play play list the playlist plays but music still plays through speakers on iPhone

I reset my Motorola S11 Flex to factory settings and it works just fine now. To do that, make sure the head phones are off. Press the power button and multi-function button and the lady in the head phones will talk to you..the first option is to reset to factory settings. Do this and it will work. Hoped this helped

Flex Time with variable tempo not working correctly.

Has anyone else noticed that Flex Time doesn't work as intended if you have variable tempo?
To clarify, I recorded a band playing their song and then figured out their various natural tempo changes and adjusted the Global Tempo Track accordingly.
Then, the drummer recorded his part to a click on that track, obviously keeping with the natural tempo changes that the band played to.
Quantization of MIDI works just fine, as in, it matches the increases and decreases in tempo.
However, attempting to quantize an audio track using Flex Time does not work properly.
I was just wondering if there is something that I'm doing wrong or if this is a known bug.

But there are several Problems using a dummy field in an IDOC structure. We have got a naming convension so that we can't create an IDOC-like structure named ORDRSP.ORDERS05.
But perhaps I am thinking to complex and there is an easier way to add a dummy field to an IDOC structure.
Could you perhaps also suggest a solution for that dummy field problem?

Check in dialog with Adobe Drive 4.2 doesn't work

we are currently implementing a custom check-in dialog using Adobe Drive 4.2.
The dialog looks like the example given in discussion "Custom check in dialog".
To build the SWF, I use Flash Builder 4.5 with Adobe Flex SDK 4.0.0 (flex_sdk_4.0.0.14159A).
I have created a new Flex Project with Application type "Web" and added a MXML Modul with name "CustomUI" and option "Do not optimize (module can be loaded by multiple applications)".
After compiling the project I extract the "CustomUI.swf" and copy the file in the "resources" folder of my Custom Adobe Drive adapter.
I implement the "IGetCustomCheckInUIHandler", "ICanEnableCustomCheckInUIHandler" and "IGetCustomCheckInUIContextInfoHandler":
"IGetCustomCheckInUIHandler" sets the module url like
response.setModuleURL(Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().getResource("resource s/CustomUI.swf"));
"ICanEnableCustomCheckInUIHandler" enables the custom ui dialog with
response.setCanEnable(true);
"IGetCustomCheckInUIContextInfoHandler" adds some context data like
Map<String, Object> contextInfo = new HashMap<String, Object>();
contextInfo.put("key1", "test1");
response.setContextInfo(contextInfo);
(Also hidding the "IGetCustomCheckInUIContextInfoHandler" in "IRemoteHandlerFactory" doesn't work.)
Right click on an checked out asset in Windows Explorer and click on "Adobe Drive 4/Check in..." does following:
1. "IGetCustomCheckInUIHandler" called
2. "ICanEnableCustomCheckInUIHandler" called
3. "IGetCustomCheckInUIHandler" once more called
4. "IGetCustomCheckInUIContextInfoHandler" called
5. The default check in dialog is shown (with no custom ui extension), the default dialog hangs (OK/Cancel doesn't react on click, the dialog is freezed). Only the close button (X in the right upper corner) works.
How is it possible to provide a custom ui check in dialog?

Hi again.
I found where the problem was (at least in my case).
To go to the point: go in the "properties" of your flex project. In the menu, go in "Flex Build Path" and then in "Library Path". Then, the option "Framework linkage" is with the default value in a new flex project.
So here is the trick : with Flex 3 (so Adobe Drive 3), the default value is "merged into code". Bug in the Flex 4 (so Adobe Drive 5), the default value is "Runtime Shared Library".
And because the module is ran independently (with no link with the flex code that load your module), the flash player crashes because it doesn't find your libraries (like ICustomCheckinUI).
I discovered this problem running the Custom UI from the windows explorer (not with Bridge) and using the Flash Player Debug version, and watching the error log files of the Flash Player.
So in the end, when I checked "merged into code" in the Framework Linkage option, all my dependencies of my flex module were merged into my final module swf, and no more flash crash.

HT4623 my home button doesn't work?

My home button doesn't work. I have to turn my phone completely off to get to a different app

Apple would handle this with Replacement iPhone 4 for $149. The repair part is the Home Button flex cable a $2 part. It is a difficult repair because most of the iPhone needs to be taken apart including removing the front screen to get to the Home Button flex cable.

Air browser: djvu plugin doesn't work

Hello,
I am building a custom air browser for my company using the HTML component.
It's working great in general but my company makes extensive use of the djvu technology for online image viewing.
Problem: the djvu plugin doesn't work on the air browser. After installing the last version (6.1.4) of the plugin it keeps saying it's necessary to install the plugin. (it works ok with the other browsers, also with google chrome).
Has anybody ever met a similar problem?

Hi Marco,
unless something changed between versions documented limitations include:
- support for only PDF plugin (version 8.1 or later) - with api to check availability at runtime if it is available on machine
- support for Flash plugin (without external dependency)
So other plugins are not supported:

Flex Builder 3, Design window not working

A few days into a new project, suddenly flex builder 3
crashed and I can no longer graphically edit my layout. Editing the
source works, and the changes are reflected in the design window,
however I cannot make changes while in the design window.
Help!

You can try to delete (not contents), then reimport your
project, or simply reinstall Flex. Takes all of 5 minutes. If that
still doesn't work, make sure you don't have some component
covering the others possibly.
