Flex 4 migration problem
Hi All,
I just made the migration to Flex 4 keeping the 3.5 SDK. I didn't change any code and still, when I try to start a debugging session, I get a security sandbox error (2060) which wasn't there before the migration.
I remember having seen a report on this but I can't find it again.
Any suggestions?
Thx,
Dany
Hi Greg - There was a bug where the owner property of a SkinnableDataContainer/DataGroup was not getting set correctly, so the overridden itemToLabel() function was never getting called. This was fixed in a build post-Beta, so the example runs properly in the SDK trunk but the bug exists in the public beta builds. You can download a current SDK off the opensource Flex site and use FlashBuilder's multi-SDK feature to code against the newer SDK.
Hope this helps!

Photoshop/Elements to Revel Photo Migration Problem!
What happened to my Photoshop/element photos? They were supposedly migrated, but I don't see them! I have no albums in my Revel account.I had a paid subscriiption and it was cancelled back in or around February, and told that the photos would be moved over to REVEL...Can anyone help me to get them back?
First, thanks Pattie for following up with me. I am going to check my backed up hard drives to see if my photoshop materials are on them. It will take me a few days, as I have only small amounts of time to research it at this time. maybe a break will come in a day or two for a determination.

Michael-
Is it possible you logged into Photoshop.com with a different email, or is it possible that you did not set up your Elements to sync with Photosho.com? These are the two main reasons users can not find their files.
The Photoshop.com account created in 2009 with the email you use to log in to this forum has no files in it, and therefore, nothing migrated to the Revel account with the same login. You do have a Revel account with the same login, but it is also empty since nothing migrated.

Hi -
We are having significant problems after migrating between
Beta 3 and the GA release. Differences in the accordion component,
comboboxes, spacing, control focus, etc. Has anyone else had these
problems?
Is there a list of the things that changed between Beta 3 and
the final release?
HELP!!
Thanks,
SethThis application is somewhat unusual in that we dynamically
create components in accordance with a user defined XML file. We
switched from BETA 3 Milestone 4 to the new released GA version of
Flex. The anomolies that we are seeing are in multiple areas. The
most evident are in the initial creation of widgets. We use an
Accordion component and programatically introduce child panels with
textboxes, comboboxes, etc. The comboboxes are tied to
ArrayCollections dynamically derived from web service calls.
Everything worked fine in BETA but when we switched, all hell broke
loose.
1) The Headers for the 2nd Accordion panel (there are two
total) is now off the screen
2) There now appears a vertical scroll bar, where there was
none in the BETA version
3) When attempting to select the 2nd panel, via the header,
it does not open the panel the first time. Disappears from view and
we have to scroll down to it and click the header again, at which
time it now selects the 2nd panel appopriately.
4) There are items in the comboboxes, but when I click tje
button to expose the dropdown the program starts behaving
erraticly. It will select another item, but the response becomes
extremely slow and eventually memory usage goes way up, the fan
comes on and the screen will eventually lock up
5) On the comboboxes which I have a typeahead programmed
(after 3 characters the component automatically calls a web service
to provide content via a database call). The content comes back,
but the behavior is different than it was during BETA. It should
display a dropdown list allowing the user to choose the corect
content. It now selects the first item in the list and does not
display the dropdown.
The behavior that I am seeing is different across the board,
from BETA to the new release version. It often ends up in some race
condition where it eats up memory and eventually stops responding
and needs to be force quit. -
OSX 7 Photoshop 4, migration problems with 150:30 error
Luckily my recently deceased MacBookPro (2008) was fully backed-up on "TimeMachine". Good move!
Yesterday I purchased a new machine, with OSX 7 pre-installed, and used "Migration Assistant" to transfer my "Time Machine" saved data to this new machine. Worked great! Fair move!
Unfortunately there is just one glich.
Glitch: Error 150:30 All previous moves negated!
My reasearch indicates that there may be a problem caused by not de-authorizing PS4 on my suddenly-dead machine. (What part of dead do I need to explain?) Result : Dead end.
Now I went searching for some "Flex..." file in the startup disk's hidden Library. Unfortunately, it did not show up during my search.
I found an Adobe page that had promised to help me but the promised support was non-existent, in the end.
Should I attempt to re-download the software—PS4—from the Adobe site using the link in my original Adobe "receipt of purchase" confirmation? (Location: my online account information with Adobe.)
Where should I go from here? What should I do from this point in my search for a solution? What futher information should I be supplying to this forum that would help in formulating a successful solution to my problem?Mylenium
Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
I am assuming that once I have run this Suite Cleaner Tool, I should sign back into my account, on the Adobe site, and pull up my sales receipt for the original "PS4 upgrade purchase" and re-download PS4—from Adobe— and install the whole programme again. Then, after I go through the procedure of re-registering it with Adobe, on my new machine, it should be fully functional. Hopefully, problem solved!
Please correct me if any part of my assumption is wrong.
Thanks again for your help.
Cheers,

Catalog Migration Problem from 10g to 11g
Hi,
When i am trying to migrate catalog of 10g to 11g. They have some problems
1. In obiee 10g (under root folder) it shows only around 5 dashboards. But actually when i am seeing in the I catalog manager of obiee 10g it shows 12 dashboards and pages.
Can some please help me on this how to see the other dashboards and page in obiee 10g ( under root folder ).
2. When i am trying to migrate the catalog folder in obiee 11g it also shows around 5 dashboards. And other dashboards are not seeing after migration.
Can someone please help me on this how to see the other dashboards and pages in obiee 11g as well.Hi,
In Webcat, there can be some contents that are inconsistent/invalid. And such contents have 0 byte size. Please check if dashboards files that are not visible and their corresponding .atr files have 0 byte size.
Other possibility can be dashboards are hidden for the user-id you are using for login.
Please mark as helpful/correct if this reply helps.
Thanks,
Vijay

Printing a graphic with a gradient mask in Flex 3-problem
Hello, I am fairly new to flex development. I am puting together a little program that allows the user to upload a picture add a vignette mask in order to achieve a soft edge, and have a problem I cannot find an answer anywhere, maybe someone could help me please.
I want to print a the user photo with a gradient mask or vignette from flex. I managed to show the image correctly on screeen with the gradient mask using this class but the output to paper is a rectangle without the soft mask.
//package to add the mask for display
package com.dm.graphics
import flash.display.Graphics;
import mx.containers.Canvas;
import flash.display.GradientType;
public class FrameBorderSoft extends Canvas
override protected function updateDisplayList(w:Number, h:Number):void
super.updateDisplayList(w,h);
var g:Graphics = this.graphics;
g.clear();
g.beginGradientFill(GradientType.RADIAL, [0x000000, 0x000000, 0x000000, 0x000000],
[1,1,0.8,0],
[1,128,195,255],
horizontalGradientMatrix(0,0,w,h) );
g.drawRect(0,0,w,h);
g.endFill();
It works beautifully until I try to print the graphic. The image prints but without the gradient edges (soft) instead it is just a sharp edge rectangle.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Here is my print function:
private function doPrint():void {
// Create an instance of the FlexPrintJob class.
var myPrintJob:FlexPrintJob = new FlexPrintJob();
// Start the print job.
if (myPrintJob.start() != true) return;
// Add the object to print. Do not scale it.
if (tabnavigator1.selectedChild == img1) {
//switchcolor is a variable to detect if the user changed the background to white or clear.
switchcolor = 100;
//printCF is the card front container with the photo masked
myPrintJob.addObject(printCF, FlexPrintJobScaleType.NONE);
myPrintJob.printAsBitmap = false;
} else if (tabnavigator1.selectedChild == img1b) {
switchcolor = 100;
myPrintJob.addObject(printCB, FlexPrintJobScaleType.NONE);
I hope this helps to visualize,
I would greatly appreciate any assistance or advise.Hello, back on my issue, i tested a little bit more the message dispaching.
I read the lazyLoadPolicy class and noticed that it always has to have a ModuleId property in the message to work, that's why the broadcast message didn't work to awake the module with the lazy loading policy.
So i added copy of my module:
<cairngorm:ParsleyModuleDescriptor objectId="test"
url="TestModule.swf"
applicationDomain="{ClassInfo.currentDomain}"
/>
<cairngorm:ParsleyModuleDescriptor objectId="testbis"
url="TestModuleBis.swf"
applicationDomain="{ClassInfo.currentDomain}"
/>
Set them both with a basicLoadPolicy, and tries to dispatch a message to only one of them using the ModuleId metatag. I then noticed that both modules received the message and not only the one i expected.
I then changed the ModuleMessageInterceptor configuration to dispatch to only one kind of module:
<cairngorm:ModuleMessageInterceptor type="{ OpenViewMessage }" moduleRef="test"/>
and this worked as expected. Only the first module catched the message. I am obiously messing with the ModuleId metatag but i cannot see what's wrong...
I compiled with
-keep-as3-metadata+=ModuleId
but this hasn't changed anything... -
CUCM 8.6(2) migration problem with external calls
Hello all.
Yesterday we have migrated our telephone infrastructure from CM4.x to CUCM8.6(2), after some weeks of tests.
Yesterday night all seems to work properly, all phone updated and registered, external calls going out and in.
But from this morning, with all users at work, it appears a strange problem, that until now I couldn't solve: randomly all external calls go down.
I can't address this problem, since gateways (all cisco 2811 routers) are the same and with same configuration as yesterday.
All thing that I can think is that router that seems to cause the problem is configured not with mgcp by cucm, but with h323 route inside the router.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
DanieleGW says normal call clearing.
But, maybe I've addressed the problem.
I've found a bug fixed into latest cucm release (8.6(2a)SU1) that say "h.323 calls improperly disconnected".
So I'm trying to upgrade from 8.6(2a) to 8.6(2a)SU1, but process fails :-(
I've tried from a dvd and also loading iso image from sftp, but after few minutes appears an error

Hi,
I'm trying to migrate a configuration of an ASA 5520(Version: ASA 8.0(5)) to an ASA 5585 (Version: 8.4(2)). I keep getting some errors which are included below. I've been struggling with these for some copule of weeks and read the documentation on cisco.com (
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa83/upgrading/migrating.html) and also some pages on this forum. Some lines are written in bold of which I wasn't able to find any information about. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Did you possibly try the default username/password combination? (cisco/cisco) It should then prompt you to change these settings once you gain access. I'm not familiar with how the migration works, if it transitions the user accounts over or you end up starting from scratch. Give that a try and hopefully it gets you into your new system. -

RonHi timo,
reviewing all my application code, I don't found a class that use javax.faces.el.VariableResolver, the JSFUtils.java class that I Use is:

I don't know why get the error "Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.faces.el.VariableResolver" when I not used this class in the application. Maybe this class could be hidden in other file ??

thanks for your time and help. -
Hi,
I am migrating an application from JDev 10.1.3.5 to 11.1.1.3 in order to deploy it to a java 1.6 JVM which is only certified with JDev 11.1.1.3
No matter what I do the DataBindings.cpx file content is emptied by the IDE, the migration was successful => no errors displayed.
I tried to solve the problem by doing the following but the file stays empty:
1) the removing the project from the application and adding it again, migration is done again => FILE EMPTY
2) adding manually the content in the source file then running XML validation => no errors, I close the file, reopen it and EMPTY AGAIN!
Your is needed and will be appreciated!
Thanks
Fred

=> when I create a new ADF Swing application this tag is not empty:
in new file:
<pageMap>
<page path="view.PanelPhotolabVO1" usageId="view_PanelPhotolabVO1PageDef"/>
</pageMap>
<pageDefinitionUsages>
<page id="view_PanelPhotolabVO1PageDef"
path="view.pageDefs.PanelPhotolabVO1PageDef"/>
in migrated file:
<pageMap/>
<pageDefinitionUsages>
<page id="PanelWeventEditParamVO1UIModel"
path="com.photoswing.view.web.PanelWeventEditParamVO1UIModel"/>
Solution to empty migrated cpx file:
It seems the migration utility couldn't cope with the BC4JDataControl definitions, so I edited them manually.
Example of 10.1.3... syntax:
<dataControlUsages>
<BC4JDataControl Configuration="BaseTablesAMLocal"
Package="com.xxx.model.system"
xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adfm/datacontrol"
id="BaseTablesAMDataControl"
FactoryClass="oracle.adf.model.bc4j.DataControlFactoryImpl"
syncMode="Immediate">
<Parameters>
<Parameter name="FactoryClass"
value="oracle.adf.model.bc4j.DataControlFactoryImpl"/>
<Parameter name="SupportsFindMode" value="true"/>
<Parameter name="Configuration" value="BaseTablesAMLocal"/>
<Parameter name="SupportsTransactions" value="true"/>
<Parameter name="Package" value="com.photoswing.model.system"/>
<Parameter name="SubType" value="DCBC4J"/>
<Parameter name="Name" value="BaseTablesAMDataControl"/>
<Parameter name="id" value="BaseTablesAMDataControl"/>
</Parameters>
</BC4JDataControl>
New syntax:
<BC4JDataControl id="BaseTablesAMDataControl"
Package="com.xxx.model.system"
FactoryClass="oracle.adf.model.bc4j.DataControlFactoryImpl"
SupportsTransactions="true" SupportsFindMode="true"
SupportsRangesize="true" SupportsResetState="true"
SupportsSortCollection="true"
Configuration="BaseTablesAMLocal" syncMode="Immediate"
ExceptionMode="Immediate"
xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adfm/datacontrol"/>
Tip:
Do this editing outside JDev with ide closed to avoid crashing it.

Migration problem from 3.2 to 3.5
hi,
I had some problem with migration of an existing application from weblogic personalization
server 3.2 to weblogic personalization server 3.5.I am not able to migrate the
ruleset from 3.2 to 3.5.I have followed all the instructions in the migration
document.So if any of you had encountered the following problem, maybe you could
help me.
E:\bea\WebLogicCommerce3.5\bin\win32>dumprules32.bat e:\rules32
Dumping existing rule sets to e:\rules32
Processor specific args not satisfied
Args must be as follows for mode migrate32to35
<output directory>
http://apache.org/xml/features/nonvalidating/load-external-dtd
Usage: java com.bea.commerce.platform.rules.tools.RuleSetProcessorHarness ( migrate32to35
| dump35 ) [<optional mode args>]
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanx in advance,
Subusorry i am posting it again.
I had created the directory e:\rules32.I had set the environment using the set-environment.bat
file before running this command.
I tried running this command directly too.However I am still having the same problem.

Subu,
1. Did you create the e:\rules32 directory first?
2. Did you try running:
java com.bea.commerce.platform.rules.tools.RuleSetProcessorHarness
migrate32to35 e:\rules32
directly?
If yes, please post the ruleset that is causing the error.
Thanks,
Daniel Selman

Hi, my current configuration is tomcat 6.0.18 and jdk 1.5. Here are the steps I followed for the migration.
1. Replaced struts.jar with struts-core-1.3.8.jar
2. Updated taglib .tld files which were under /WEB-INF and also kept the corresponding struts-taglib-1.3.8.jar files in lib directory.
3. Kept the external mappings in web.xml for the tld files though.
4. Updated struts-config.xml with
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE struts-config PUBLIC "-//Apache Software Foundation//DTD Struts Configuration 1.3//EN"
"http://struts.apache.org/dtds/struts-config_1_3.dtd">
5. As not using any cancel buttons hence did not use the cancellable attribute.
6. Updated validation.xml with specified doctype in strutsupgrade docs.
7. Replaced older jar files with newer versions.
After compiling the files and deploying in Tomcat I get the following error while trying to run.
exception

What am I missing out on?
Thankx in advance.hanks for the reply.
All class files are created during build.
I even deleted all the existing ones in tomcat/work folder.
So the classes are up to date.
Any other pointers?
Furthermore do I need to change the jsp header
<%@ taglib uri="/tags/struts-bean" prefix="bean" %>
to
<%@ taglib uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-bean" prefix="bean" %>
and so forth?(I did that, and its compiling but during accessing i get the same error.)
The java deprecations shows Resources.getLocale as deprecated. Is that a problem,
and if it is how to replace it? -
Can't edit audio tracks anymore FLEX EDIT PROBLEM
Due to year long problems with my Mac, Apple replaced it with a brand new one but it came with the updated Garageband '11 with Flex Time. I currently have a podcast and am over a month behind and because I can't figure out this new audio/flex time edit thing. It appears that I am not the only one on disccussion forums and YouTuve but I need HELP!
PROBLEM: I can't edit tracks. Flex Time turns on and analyzes over and over and over and over. I can't edit or cut things out. It wants to stretch them out! HELP!
FLEX TIME is terrible.jaysenpluto wrote:

Zend Amf & Flex 3, problem when many records returned
I have a project with a start dateField (calendar) and an end dateField (calendar). The user chooses a start date and an end date and the database pulls latitude and longitude coordinates for events that occurred between those dates. If the user chooses dates that produce fewer than roughly 11,200 records, it works perfectly. If the user chooses dates that produce more than that, it produces the following error message:
faultCode:Client.Error.DeliveryInDoubt
faultString:'Channel disconnected'
faultDetail:'Channel disconnected before an acknowledgement was received'
The server is my local machine (localhost). I'm running:
MAMP (which has Apache 2.0.59)
Flex 3
I tried editing the my.cnf (mySQL options file) and increased the max_allowed_packet to 32M, but that didn't work.
It's a strange problem as the same code works when a relatively small amount of data is returned, but doesn't work when more data is pulled. Could it be some sort of memory or packet limit or a time-out that is called?
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
-LaxmidiRichard Bates of flexandair.com figured it out. In my php.ini file, I had the memory limit set at 8M. After, changing it to 32M, it worked. Thank you, Richard!
