Flex App not working in IE9

Friends,
We have a Flex browser based app (Flex 3.6 SDK) and it has been running smoothly on IE since last 1 yr. Front-end is Flex, Middle layer Fluorine web services aka .Net, back-end is SQL. One of our customer reported this peculiar problem that it is not working on IE9 (its a Win 7 64bit laptop). Not working means that after he hits the url, the page loads fine but when he tries logging in he gets error (Thats an error we shoe when we get failure callback from middle layer). Now .Net/back-end people checked the logs and told me that they do not receive any hit from that account. So it means the <mx:Remote object> call for login never reached them. But then how come we got error callback?
Notably,
1. we are not using any session timeout so there is no question of fault callback coming due to that. is their any way that we got a fault callback of Remote Object without it reaching the .Net layer? How can we rectify it?
2. we used Adobe connect and checked this client's machine and we found that his internet options on IE are fine as per http://blogs.adobe.com/cnflash/2011/09/23/adobe-flash-player-cannot-work-on-ie-9-after-ins tallation-or-updates/ . also he is able to open Flash videos without any peoblem so it seems that Flash perhaps is working fine on it.
what other areas can we check to solve it? Any help is valuable guys....

check with firebug.
i suspect that client load swf from cache. means he might not have latest version of swf. make sure he has latest swf.
parameter mismatch will lead to these kind of issue

Flex apps not working in IE6...sometimes

I have a strange problem that is causing me to go bald..
When I create an application in Flex and run it, IE pops up and I get the message:
"Alternate HTML content should be placed here. This content requires the Adobe Flash Player. Get Flash "
Flash is installed already. In fact, I have uninstalled it, installed it, installed the debugger version, installed the non-debugger version, etc trying to solve the problem. This all worked before (in fact just a few days ago) and I have had flex installed for a couple years without problem. I have tried this in a few scenarios.. Previewing the application on my local harddrive. Previewing on a network drive, previewing on an internal website. None work (though they used to). When I view applications outside our local network, I can view them fine.
This same application works fine in Firefox. I can preview, debug, everything in all situations just fine.
Other machines in the office on the same network with less rights than me show the application working fine. They have Flash 10 installed.
Does anyone have ANY idea why this might be happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hate to reply to my own post, but I found the solution!! Actually I found a post from someone else who found the solution... I will detail it here in case someone else searches for it.
Solution:
All of these problems are all apparently caused by the same problem, that is the inability of IE to properly determine the user agent version due to a limit in the length that it can be. What happened was I went into IE and went to the Help/About Internet Explorer. When I did a strange Error 53 dialog box that came up. I searched the internet for this and came across this site: http://www.netsplore.com/PublicPortal/blog.aspx?EntryID=45.
Following the instructions on that site solved all the problems!

Had the same problem as you. App would terminate when launched.
Solution to working You Tube app:
-Go to playstore
- Uninstall app (it doesn't remove the app, only removes the update)
- "Et Voila", working again.
This doesn't correct the problem, it's just a workaround for you to be able to use youtube app again.

Office Web Apps 2013 - Word app not working on Sharepoint 2013 but Excel does

We had some problems with Office Web Apps 2013 not working with Lync, and the status of OWA was unhealty so we decided to install some updates for OWA.
We have downloaded November 2013 update for OWA.
We found out a guide for putting updates on OWA and done this steps:
* Remove-OfficeWebAppsMachine
* Installed the november update
* Restarted OWA server
* ran: New-OfficeWebAppsFarm -InternalUrl https://owasrv.domain.local -ExternalURL
https://owasrv.domain.local -CertificateName "certname" -AllowHttp -EditingEnabled
* Restart-Service WACSM
- checked in IIS in the bindings if the site useses the correct certificate
Then we went on Sharepoint 2013 and ran some commands:
* Remove-SPWOPIBinding –All:$true
* New-SPWOPIBinding -ServerName owasrv.domain.local
* Set-SPWOPIZone –zone “external-https”
Now here are the funny things:
* Excel word app on Sharepoint 2013 works
* Word APP not working (screenshot)
* Lync 2013 powerpoint still not working (screenshot)
* status of OWA is healthy

Default Mail app not working with yahoo mail. Won't update.

It stopped working the other day. I tried everything but it wouldn't update new mail. The yahoo account itself is fine because I can see new mail on Yahoo or a yahoo app.
I tried deleting the account and putting it back on, but now it has 0 mail in any part of it. Nothing has synced.

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.

CC desktop app not working on Win 8.1

Creative cloud desktop app not working in win 8.1. The window is blank, only the header is visible. I've tried reinstall and shut down ESET firewall, but nothing is working. I use the same plan in work on win 7 and it's ok. Please help, maybe some Win 8.1 update? An by the way, when I update my CC app, everything on my desktop disappear and I must reboot system to fix it, this is not normal as well...

Java apps not working right

I lately have found problems with Java apps not working correctly. For example, in Yahoo Widgets I cannot get any widget preferences to display; in Apple's Java Preferences for J2SE 5.0 the preference window opens but is blank; and in JBidwatcher the buttons are missing in main and preference windows.
When I log in as another user I find all those apps work properly, so it seems to be something wrong within my User folder. I tried reinstalling the Java J2SE50ReIease4 but it didn't help. Is there something I can delete and/or reinstall to fix this problem?

I made the mistake of thinking I could throw away the preferences in the Java folder and new pref's would automatically replace the missing pref's, much to my surprise no such thing happened. My settup is the same as yours, except my OS is 10.4.8.

For this issue, you can add the following line of code into the pickerdialog.master which lays in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS

Oh phooey. I had the same problem, so I decided to delete and reinstall. Only to discover that Google's YouTube app no longer supports anything below iOS 6. This is a problem since I'm running an original iPad.
Yes, I realize that my version of iOS still has the old YouTube app. But it's not the same. For one thing there are a lot of ad-supported videos that will only play in the new app.
