Flex Builder 3.0 Licence purchase request

We have installed flex builder 3.0 (trail version) as part of the FLEX development and design mode working fine. The problem is not able to buy  license for this specific version 3.0. When clicks on Purchase button under Manage Flex Builder License thows the error page "Sorry, this page is not available". Please advise if there is any other option to buy flex builder 3.0 license.
The reason that we are going to flex builder 3.0 is due to design mode works only fine in this version. We have installed Flex Builder 4.5 and above versions , design mode not working properly which is really big challenge to deal with Flex code. Please advise us to fix the design issue with flex builder 4.5+ versions.

  • Questions about Flex Builder purchase

    Hello all
I don't know where else to ask this. I have been developing in Flex till now using the open-source tool FlashDevelop (Windows only).
Now I am going to have to develop on Mac, and want to buy Flex Builder. On the purchase page, it shows "Platform - Win/Mac". Does that mean it contains the software for Mac and Windows platforms? Or does this mean the Eclipse plugin which can work with Eclipse on Mac as well as Win?
Also I know that the Flex Builder 4 is in its Beta stage. Is it going to be released soon? Should I make the purchase when the latest version is released?
    Please guide me.
    Thanks and Regards
    ShiVik

The Flex builder does run on both Windows and Mac.

  • License migration from Flex Builder 3 to Flex Builder 4

I am ready to purchase a license for Flex Builder but am hesitant to do so.  It appears that Flex Builder 3 is available now with Flex Builder 4 coming within some time period.  If I buy a Flex Builder 3 license now will I be entitled to Flex Builder 4?   If not, should I wait for FB 4 to become available?  What is the anticipated ship date of that product?
    Neil

    From our FAQ
Q: If I purchase Flex Builder 3, am I eligible for an upgrade to Flash Builder 4?
A: Adobe has not yet announced the ship date of Flash Builder 4. To be eligible for a free of charge upgrade to Flash Builder 4, you will need to purchase maintenance along with your purchase of Flex Builder. You can purchase maintenance with your Flex Builder 3 Standard purchase for an additional $99 US which makes you eligible for a free-of-charge copy of Flash Builder 4 Standard edition when it ships. You can purchase maintenance with your Flex Builder 3 Pro purchase for an additional $299 US. To purchase maintenance, you will need to buy through an Adobe reseller. In the US, please contact CDW at 800-800-4239.

  • How to deactivate the flex builder licence from one machine and use it on other machine

    Hi,
I have a "Flex builder 3" licence running on my machine.
I have to deactivate that and use it on another machine.
How should I do that? As there is no otpion in flex builder.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Tushar

What happens when you just install Flex Builder on the other machine and enter the serial number? I was not aware of Flex Builder having a mechanism that tracks activations like the Creative Suite products.

  • Will Flex Builder 3 Pro purchase upgrade to Flash Builder 4?

    Hi,
I've been asked to purchase some Flex Builder Pro licenses for my team. What's available today are FB 3 Pro licenses but we intend to use FB 4 Pro when it becomes available in early 2010. Will a purchase of FB 3 Pro today automatically upgrade to FB 4 Pro in a few months? Or will I have to buy a separate "upgrade" license to get the new version?
    Thanks, Garry

    Hi Garry,
If you purchase now you will need a separate upgrade license when FB4 ships.  But the upgrade prices are pretty reasonable if I recall.

  • Purchasing Flex Builder 3 Pro

    Hello!
I want to buy one license for the Flex Builder 3 Professional but as far as I can see, Adobe's store doesn't offer it anymore.
Further more, I understand that the price is approximately US$ 600.
Searching the web I've found this reseller:
    http://www.azrul.com/files/buy/business/buy-adobe-flex-builder-3-pro.html
    It says:
    Retail Price: $669.95
    Our Price: $79.95
    You Save: $590
    ZIP Archive - 438Mb
Could it really be so? US$ 80?
Also, concerning upgrades, if I buy the Flex 3 version from the above website, will I be able to upgrade to the Flex Builder 4 Pro edition in a discounted price (approx. US$ 200 at Adobe's store) later without any issues?
    Thank you!
    Added:
This website also offers it for the same price: http://softprimestore.com/item/226/adobe-flex-builder-professional-3.htm

Not sure that kind of stuff is typically allowed (technically) legally.
2.4.3 No Transfer. Licensee shall not sublicense, assign or transfer the Software or Licensee’s rights in the Software,
or authorize any portion of the Software to be copied onto or accessed from another individual’s or entity’s
Computer except as may be explicitly provided in this Agreement. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this
Section 2.4.3, Licensee may transfer copies of the Software installed on one of Licensee’s Computers to another one
of Licensee’s Computers provided that the resulting installation and use of the Software is in accordance with the
terms of this Agreement and does not cause Licensee to exceed Licensee’s right to use the Software under this
    Agreement.
Out of a Flex Builder license agreement (didn't say which version).  Not sure if there's another section that I missed saying this particular type of 'transfer' is allowed.

  • Video Display Problems with Flex Builder 2

I am currently trying out the Flex Builder 30-day trial and
have been having problems running the software.
    System info:
    FB 2.0.1
    Dell Latittude D820 running WinXP
NVIDIA Quadro NVS 120M Video Card
When I first installed it, my display turned to garbage and I
had to reboot my machine to get it to a usable state. Someone
suggested changing my display properties and see if it helped. When
I tried 768X1024 with 8-bit color it worked. Once I installed it, I
changed them back to 1920X1200 32-bit. Everything seemed to work
fine until I started getting into some more complicated tutorials.
My display crashed and looked similar to what I saw before. I
updated to the latest NVIDIA driver from Dell. No help. I then
tried the Windows Troubleshooting. When I turned my hardware
acceleration to None, it started working again. There are some
weird display issues with menu buttons and I can't launch my Nvdia
    software.
Is there a better solution to this? Has anyone had this
problem? I'm not so sure I'll purchase the software with this many
    problems.
    Thanks,
    Wendi

    Boys n Girls
I am Currently restoring my Power Book after a significant meltdown.
Thanks for posting I too saw the shearing effect but shrugged it off thinking oh well I'll just reboot!
If you are seeing this Buy a fire wire drive NOW and Back-up.
I suspect the Video update changed a low level feature in the power management routines and this resulted in my Power book cooking itself.
I've got a 12mth old Hitachi 7200 PATA drive in my Power Book after the Apple Drive cooked itself soem tim back and I have now got to back-up and restore my whole system. Luckiliy I have plenty of Big fast firewire drives around so I'm imaging the corrupt drive and going to run the Hitachi tool on it via a WINDOZE Thinkpad. Then a combination of clean install of 10.5.x and a migration assisted restore should do it.
I'm really not very happy though! My Time machine image did not restore and the disk repair did not work. I have a corrupted asl.DB ( the log file for Apple System Logs) and the mac won't boot from its internal drive.
I'll post the resolution here as it happens I'm at hour Disaster + 24 so I'm really cranky!
I suggest If you have a G4 Power Book you resist the temptation to install the video update.

  • Cvs problem in flex builder 2.0

Hi, everyone, I have installed my flex builder 2.0 without
problem, and i have created some apps using it.
    It is really good.
But the question is , when I set up a CVS client in flex

Unedit menus are disabled? Dose anyone know this? I think it is
    very inconvenient.
    Thank you

    Hi There

By the sounds of your email you have an idea of how to do this, i am using websphere as my server, i am wondering if you have any links to tutorials on how to do this or any sample projects yourself. • "Unembolden" keywords in Flex Builder 3 Editor

Is there anyway to remove the bold attribute from keywords
& string literals in the Flex Builder 3 editor?
In v2, I was able to tweak an xml file in a jar - I can't
find it in the new version.
It is quite troublesome as I like to line up similar lines of
declarative code vertically in order to reduce visual clutter.
As they are wider than normal ones, the bold characters
disturb the mono-spaced layout and foil this effort.
    Thanks,

  • Can't install Flex Builder 2 plugin in Eclipse 3.3/Europa

[I hope Adobe reads these forums. I tried to submit this as a
customer service request, but the customer service request form
kept telling my I had to enter my First Name, Last Name, and Email
address, even though I _had_ entered them!]
I can't seem to install the Flex Builder 2 plugin in Eclipse
3.3/Europa. I had it installed fine in 3.2/Callisto. I uninstalled
it from there, installed Europa, then tried to install the plugin.
After I selected the Eclipse folder, I got the error:
"Please choose an existing Eclipse folder (3.1 or greater) to
be updated. This folder must contain eclipse.exe and the standard
    folder named "configuration"."
All three conditions (3.1 or greater, eclipse.exe and
configuration) hold in my case, so I don't know what the real
    problem is.

Actually it's quite simple. But you have to be warned. This
doesn't guarantee a bug free Eclipse setup and it isn't supported
by Adobe in any way. It is how-ever your only shot at getting
Eclipse with Flex Builder 2 AND php-development support, as Zend
has stopped deploying the php-development-requirement for Eclipse
3.2 (or at least I haven't found it in their archives.)
Flex Builder 2 simply checks for some files to see if the
directory you want to install to exist, so it recognizes the
directory as an Eclipse 3.1+ directory. Eclipse 3.3 however misses
the file startup.jar. If you simply copy startup.jar from an
Eclipse 3.2 directory into the 3.3 directory, Flex Builder 2 will
    install in the 3.3 directory.
Again. This is not supported in any way by Adobe.
For more info, Google on: eclipse-3.3 Flex-builder-2
    startup.jar
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=eclipse-3.3+Flex-builder-2+startup.jar
    Kind regards.
PS. I would still like to have an Adobe Representative answer
the simple question: Is Adobe or is Adobe not working on getting
Flex Builder 2 to work on Eclipse 3.3? A simple yes or no will
    suffice.

  • Flex Builder 4.5 Premium license not working for automation - anything else to try?

So I'm getting the message when I try to record/run a test that the "License not present.  With the trial verison only limited replays are allowed."  I have a valid license key for Flash Builder 4.5 premium edition.  I have read many forums on this subject but none of them help me.  I compile my project either using Flash Builder 4.5 or an ant script invoking mxmlc.  I have modified my flex-config.xml to include "flashbuilder45", and my given serial number with and without dashes (and other combinations).  I do not have a license.properties file.  I'm not sure what else I can do.  I have already reinstalled Flash Builder 4.5.  I am now trying Flash Builder 4.6 with the same results.  This serial number is a group one good for 5 boxes.  My next step is to request a replacement serial number from Adobe, since I can't think of anything else that could be wrong with my setup.

    1.  It is a premium which I can see when I view "My Products" on this adobe site.  I can enable Network monitor and when I do my application hangs (I've read a bit on how to get this working properly, but I don't need it)
    2. It is an FB serial number.  Here is what it is under My Products:
    Serial Number: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Application or font: Flash Builder Prem
    Version: 4.5
    Platform: Multiple Platforms
    Date: June 7, 2011
    3. Yes I have.  I have uncommented
    <licenses>
          <license>
             <product>product</product>
             <serial-number>serial-num</serial-number>
          </license>
       </licenses>
which sits one level down within <flex-config/>
Under product I have tried "flashbuilder45", "flashbuilder4", "flashbuilder46", and even "flexbuilderXX" a few times.  Under my serial number I have entered the serial number as shown in My Products - I have tried tried it with dashes, and without.
    I found this post
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6993096/how-to-properly-define-the-flashbuilder-4-5-pre mium-license-for-a-maven-flexmojo
which says "the serial-number element is NOT the license number that we got from Adobe (and that we use when installing the Flash Builder tooling) but it is a derived form of that license number that can be found for example in the license.properties file of a developer that has Flash Builder installed".  However I have read conflicting reports about this.  At any rate I do not have a license.properties file, which I assume was discounted after flex builder 3.x.
    4. Yes, using FlashBuilder and my ant script.  I have also cleaned my browser's cache.  The problem persists.

  • Help installing Flex SDK 4.1 on Flex Builder 3 properly

Flex Builder 3 comes with SDK for 2.0.1 and 3.2 by default, so I want to add Flex SDK 4.1
I downloaded it, made a directory in the Flex Builder 3 sdks folder, and unzipped the contents there.
After adding it and selecting/checking it on Flex Builder, I tried to use it by running a project I was using with 3.2 and I get the error below:
    unable to open 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 3\sdks\4.1.0\frameworks\libs\player\9.0\playerglobal.swc'
What do I need to do or didn't do?

    Hi,
You can not use SDK 4.1 in flex builder 3. You need to purchase Flash Builder 4 or use free SDK 4.1 in eclipse.

  • Upgrading Flex Builder 3 Standard to Flash Builder 4 Premium

    Hi there,
Purchased Flex Builder 3 Standard back in January. Came to enjoy (and depend on) the memory profiling functions in the beta 2.
Anyhow, Flash Builder 4 has been released, and I see there is no memory profiler in the Standard edition. I see some conflicting information out there regarding upgrades -- some (third party) websites say it's possible to upgrade Flex Builder 3 Standard to Flash Builder 4 Premium. Adobe's website says it's only possible to upgrade Standard -> Standard, and Premium -> Premium.
The costs to upgrade to Premium from Standard would be prohibitive; I'd have to purchase two separate upgrades and the price would go over $US1000. Am I able to upgrade to Premium using my Flex Builder 3 Standard purchase?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I don't think that "downgrades" from FB3 Pro to FB4 Standard are officially supported. You might be able to negotiate with a Sales Rep to make an exception for you though, for a discounted price on a non-upgrade version of FB4 Standard.
Alternatively, if you have any interest in CS5 Web Premium (or have any Adobe products qualifying for a CS5 upgrade), FB4 Standard is included with that Suite now.

  • Flex Builder for Linux will need his companion Thermo

I’ve been developing in Flex for a long time now. My
main work is in the design area although I do a lot of coding. The
Flex Builder Linux testing is being quite difficult, since the
layout design view is not enabled yet. So we need a lot of
imagination and a little bit of experience in AS3 and MXML tag
    codding.
As a designer (and developer  ) I would like to ask
for a Thermo for Linux. It’s just a request, but I think
there are a lot of guys that share my opinion.
    Thanks,

    Hi, thanks for your answer.
It turned out the problem was related to the *standalone* flashplayer.
This is located in linux in:
    FLEX_BUILDER_INSTALL_PREFIX/Player/linux
when I was clicking on the "Run" button Flex Builder was looking for a flashplayer standalone app, and was failing to find it.
What I had to do was to add the complete the flashplayer path to the PATH used by eclipse.
Now clicking on "Run" it compiles the application and launches the standalone player with the generated swf file.
Now I wonder if there is some way to select the flashplayer to launch, and if it is possible to configure eclipse to make it launch a  browser or a custom script rather than execute that swf with the standalone player.
    Thanks, regards.
