Installing Flex "Components"

I noticed that many people much more experienced in Flex/AS3
coding have been building their own Flex components and offering
them up on the web for download. The Fisheye Component on Quietly
Scheming is a prime example.

This is a great looking component and I would really like to
get this running on my own system but I’ve never been able to
import these kinds of components into Flex Builder and make them
work (they always have errors). Can anyone explain to me (a compete
noob) how this “importing” process works. Even just a
link to some kind of tutorial at this point would be great. This is
really frustrating me! I know this has got to be simple but I just
can't figure it out.

Usually you get a number of mxml- or as-files. For those
cases I have a dummy project, where I include them. I right-click
on the source and choose "run as flex application". This way I get
to compile and run them. Usually that works just fine.
In this particular case the author published a whole project.
With "File -> Import -> existing projects ..." you can
include this project. Unfortunately the author wrote some absolute
paths in the .projects etc. I deleted those but flex didn't notice
my changes - even after "clear"ing the project.
Therefore I started a new project and installed the
downloaded files manually. Now I was able to compile it - but all I
get is a dark screen. :-(
Next step is to debug that piece. You might want to take
over!

okay so i used a visa gift card i had gotten as a payment method to use to download music on itunes and then finally it ran out of money. then later when i tried to download an app it said "sign in required" so i signed in then it said my payment method isnt working but i have no other meathod and i cant cancel the one i have so i tried again and it keeps saying the same thing.. it wont let me download anything.. what do i do?

You probably have a past due balance in the iTunes store. If so, you'll have to enter a new payment type, or use an iTunes gift card to resolve the outstanding balance before you can proceed to download free apps, or install app updates.

Thank you for the question. It sounds like you do not want to add a credit card to your Apple ID.
I suggest updating your billing information to "None" using the steps in the section titled "Change your payment information on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch" in the following article:

Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill ? If it's not then that might be the reason that you are getting the security code error : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Express Lane, then iTunes > iTunes Store

Do you have enough funds in your bank account?
otherwise iTunes sometimes black lists card if there are too many fradulent purchases
Reason why they might black list a card is possibly you call in for alot of fradulent purchases
One more reason can be because iTunes does actually limit the amount you can change payment methods
Call AppleCare Phone support and have your call directed to iTunes Store

I had that same problem, I used a gift card (all of it), and when I tried to use the AppStore it wouldn't let me, I tried calling apple support and iTunes support, but they did not help. The way I resolved my problem is I went to the grocery store and bought a visa debit gift card, with $1.00 balance on it and put that info on my billing settings when they asked me to update it or change it or whatever, and it worked perfectly, that may be the ONLY way for your problem to be resolved, and it's a confirmed answer, since I have done it myself, if you don't do that, you will never be able to download free apps, receive and download gifted apps, or even UPDATE an app, it ***** I know, I went through exactly what you did, and if you do what I did, you'll be able to use the AppStore again! Hope this was helpful for you.

You must contact iTunes support to get the problem resolved.

On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

If you're being prompted that your payment information needs to be veriefied, then there is some aspect of your payment type which is being denied by your financial institution. I'd like you to please follow the steps below to verify your information.
Open iTunes. If you are signed in to iTunes, skip to step 4.
Note: Verify that you are signed in to the correct iTunes account. If you are unsure which account you're signed into, choose Store > Sign Out and proceed to step 2.
Choose Store > Sign In.
Enter your account name and password, then click the Sign In button.
Choose Store > View My Account.
Click the Edit Payment Information button.
In the Payment Method section, choose None.
Click the Done button at the bottom of the page.
Click the Edit Payment Information button again.
Enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement.
Select your credit card type in the Payment Method section.
Enter your credit card information, your card's security code, and the expiration date.
Click the Done button at the bottom of the page.
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.

- If you have a 2G iPod yu can update the iOd to as high as 4.2.1. There are many apps that will work with that but some require a 3G or higher or even a lter iOS.
- What happens when you try? Error messages?

Ok, so I tried purchasing a item in a game I have (not knowing how much I have in my bank account). App Store denied it so I'm like ok whatever I don't care. Well now whenever I try to download free apps or eve. Update apps I already have the store makes me sign in, and wants me to update my billing information because there was an error with my last purchase because it didn't go through. Ok why is it doing this? It didn't go through I don't care I just wanna update my apps and be able to download free Apps without having to update my information then apple charging for something I don't want anymore.... You must have a valid form of payment on your account even for updates and free apps.
