Flex language questions should go in the General Discussion Forum

This forum is intended for Flex Builder questions.
Of course you can post wherever you like, but if you want
help, go where the helpers are.
Tracy

can you define what goes where then?
General discussion sounds like thoughts, comments, hopes and
wishes.
Builder 2, (meaning Flex Builder 2?), seems to be the only
area for other Flex 2 questions.
I don't mean to be wise here, but I personally don't
understand what a "builder 2" question is if not those that deal
with flex 2, such as those posted here. I want to post my questions
where they should be so that I might find help, so maybe the forum
labelling should be re-considered or better defined.

  • GPO - Restricts the UI languages Windows should use for the selected user - not applying correctly on RDS 2012 R2

    Hi All,
we have a Citrix XenApp 7.5 Farm with Windows Server 2012 R2 Servers and multiple (english, german, italian, spanish, french...) languages installed.
I've created a GPO with settings 'Restricts the UI languages Windows should use for the selected user' to for example 'German'.
Now when a user logs on to the server, the UI language is in german, but when i open Control Panel\Language: There is still English (United States) with Keyboard Layout: US, German.
It seems that the GPO is not changing all settings correctly to german.
Does anybody know what could be wrong?
    best regards,
    Siegmund

    Hi Siegmund,
    >>Now when a user logs on to the server, the UI language is in german, but when i open Control Panel\Language: There is still English (United States) with Keyboard Layout: US, German
Based on the description, the policy setting should have been applied successfully. Here, did we logged onto the server via remote desktop services? If yes, what's the keyboard layout on the computer we used to RDP to the server? Before going further,
I assume that this can be caused by Auto detect Remote Keyboard layout feature introduced since Windows Server 2008.

  • General Discussion forum

I know these are support type forums, but I was wondering if now would be a good time to introduce a general discussion forum for non support posts, and genral"have you seen that..." posts?

I think it's a good idea to have a General Forum which could be for questions that don't fit in the categories that are showing at present.
You could also have  say a Chillout Room where it is just for general chit chat, they are popular in some forums.

  • The adobe discussion forum is useless

the adobe discussion forum is useless because there is nearly no support from adobe and it is very difficult to become an overview of only one subject. Too many threads, not at all selfexplaining...
I can not find a way to edit my last entry...
It`s frustrating and does not inspire me to join the discussions any more.

Odd. You seem to have made a post right now. Is there any way that you can be more specific? For example, any error messages that may show up when attempting to post?

I have been a regular participant but lately I have to sign in every time I return.
I always check "Remember Me" but no joy

Would appreciate arriving on page already signed in as it has always been.
    Appreciate any tips

You need "Privacy" and "Security" Tabs of Firefox to set these for you.
In FF go to:  Tools >> Options
Now you will see the two tabs in which you can set the appropriate options.  You might need to clear your cache before new changes takes effect.
I suggest ask the experts in Firefox forums if this doesn't work:

    <http://forums.mozillazine.org/index.php>
    Hope this helps.

  • Why are my questions and posts disappearing from this  discussion forum?

it shows the number in post count on my profile but the posts and questions i leave are gone after a few times of logging in. I don't get why this is happening.

Thanks for the reply. No post nor question is in profile or my post/my questions but the number of posts actually accounts for them being made which is strange. I doubt they were moderated for being in wrong category and nothing against the terms for sure. It's only two post one question was basically this same one I just asked, but in other words. Another I commented about the ram not being so cheap for new Imacs to upgrade. Since people on the SL installs were complaining about not being able to upgrade to SL due to lack of ram and others commented how cheap memory is. I just was wondering what the problem was. That original question is nowhere to be found. Thanks though at least i know others can see my latest post. Nothing for me to lose sleep over.

lately i got some projects (finally... a man gotta live...) so im busy with other stuff atm. I do try todo my best to work on Archie too, but for now im building a customized Archie for my congregation (hebrew supported, nice customization, featuring the bibletime software), and i try to squeeze some Archie work between here and there. Hopefully with dibble's and the rest of the team we'll be able to release 0.6 (xfce/kde/e17) shortly.

  • Searching the Flex General Discussion returns cf error

    Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone from Adobe can help me out here because if
I enter a search into the Search field in the general discussion, I
get a cold fusion error . If necessary I can send a screenshot of
what I get, but I can't seem to search the 'Flex General
Discussion' for anything without getting an error telling me to
contact the website administrator, of which I have no idea who that
is, or how to find them on the site.
I'm a designer/devloper who works alone and I really depend
on these resources to help me along when I need help, but not being
able to search the forum is becoming a real problem.
If this type of post should be done somewhere else, I
apologize, but I have no idea how to contact the site administrator
    for the Flex Developer Center.
    Thanks in advance
