Flex or just cs3 ? not really clear

just want to know if flex movie are also possible in director
11 or just flash cs3. I can't currently test it.

From what I've seen I don't think so. I think that Flex
requires ActionScript 3.0, and that's not yet supported for Flash
cast members (which is what Flex would create) in Director.

I am not really clear on the BlazeDS and LiveCycleDS Licenses.

1. BlazeDS is usable under LGPLv3. by what I know you can use LGPL libraries commercially IF you dont make any changes to the original code.
Maybe i have misunderstood the LGPL because it was quite confusing for me.
But still, it doesnt change the fact that BlazeDS is a free open-source program. Why is there a need for commercially licensed version of BlazeDS if it was made to be used freely under LGPL?

You are allowed to redistribute under the LGPL; however, there are obligations you have to meet if you modify any of the source code, and more importantly there are things you do not get that you do with a commercial license, such as warranties and indemnification. We offer the commercial license to customers that need these things, or that have strict policies about not using (L)GPL licensed software. If in your case those things aren't important and you either aren't making changes that invoke the source obligations, then there's nothing stopping you from shipping LGPL software with your product or project. 2. Is LiveCycleDS Express Edition under the same license? (ie LGPL) If so can this be used commercially? As Tom pointed out, the Express edition is licensed under a commercial license, though it is free. Two important differences are that the Express edition has license restrictions as to the size of applications that you can deploy, and it does not grant you the right to redistribute the Express edition as part of your own product. in the iPhoto preferences be sure the action when camera is connected is open iPhoto
What program are you using to import the photos?
If they are in a folder you can drag that folder onto the iPhoto icon in the dock to import - our launch iPhoto and under the file menu import from that folder

I have this identical problem. For a while my group texts didnt show up on my ipad. Then one day they did, maybe everyone in the group started using the same os version or something. Ever since my first reply to the group there have been complaints of multiple threads. I can not find a pattern for when my group text's decide they want to create a new thread. (it doesnt happen every time) Everyone in the group has deleted the thread, we've all toggled imessage on/off etc. There still hasn't been a solution.

Buy an external USB hard drive and copy your data to it. Either that or burn them all to single or double layer DVDs (depending on amount of data you have). Or if it's really a small amount, consider putting it all on a USB memory stick.

It should not be a problem, as long as you are careful. Note the delete settings option when uninstalling firefox will delete bookmarks etc for ALL installed versions of firefox.
Firefox attempts to retain the profile information, that include bookmarks etc when updating. It may still be prudent to consider other backup methods not entirely dependent on firefox.
The firefox 4 beta will install by default in a slightly different location, you are then able to run either the current or the beta version of firefox. It is recommended you set up a new profile for the new version of firefox. see

Where's a smart person when you need one? My iphoto just will not open for no reason at all(I REALLY NEED HELP)

I have not done anything strange like changing something in my computer or IPhoto. One day it just decided not to open. I dont have my photos backed up from IPhoto and I really need the photos on there and Iphoto itself to graduate in two weeks.
I will click on Iphoto and it'll jump twice, open but it will be totally blank white and immediately have the spinning rainbow wheel and it never loads. I'll then put my mouse over the icona nd it'll say "IPhoto not responding" and everytime I have to force quit. I really dont understand what happened.
I have googled for days variations of "My Iphoto will not open" and none of what people are saying helps at all because all of them have done something to mess up their apps. I really really need help, please, its got to be something so simple because I didnt change anything on my computer.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'

Have you activated the device yet? Is it up and running?
Many of us in this community are your age and older. Age has nothing to do with it, but your lack of experience with tech devices has more bearing on this than your age. However, having said that, the iPad is very easy to use. You don't need a computer at all any more in order to use an iPad.
If you do want to use your laptop with your iPad, you must be running the latest version of iTunes and these are the specific requirements.

Flex Builder 3 will not work on Mac

Flex Builder 3 & Mac OSX:
The hard disk on my mac failed, lost everything, including
Flex Builder 2. I installed a new hard disk, and downloaded the
"trial" of Flex Builder 3 (FB 3). The software seemed to install
fine(no errors in the install log).
However, when I run FB 3, the default front page does not
load, and tells me that the flash player as stopped because of a
un-safe operation. I think okay, that is fine, but I do like the
page with the links to the docs, and adobe resources. I try to
build an app, default just dragged a button on the stage, and
complied. However, the page does not compile. I only get the "grey"
page, with no button.
After this I re-installed the flash player (9.0.115), but
still no love. I have re-installed FB 3, but the same results.
I am using Mac OS X (power PC). Can anybody help me. I am a
student at the University of Hawaii, and I am teaching myself Flex.
I am thinking that the error might be with the flash player, and I
am trying to install flash CS3, thinking that if I can get the
stand alone flash player that way, maybe then this will work.

apps, just a blank(grey page). Can I ask a favor? Can you check

How to get rid of "Delivery costs have not been cleared" status = MM_EKKO

Hi dear experts,
During pretreatment of MM_EKKO archiving object (TA: SARA), I get an amazing huge amount of PO position which can not be archived due to "*Delivery costs have not been cleared*".
I tried several ways to find out how to solve this issue but without any success.
Point is that we do not clear delivery cost regarding those PO positions, but delivery cost are transfered directly to a global account.
It means that those PO's won't never be cleared.
Any ideas about how I can fix this issue?

Yep,
no idea why, but when I uncheck the "Final Invoice" box save and went back into the same PO and check again the same "Final Invoice" box, then, as a miracle, SARA=>MM_EKKO=> Pretreatment knows that this document is cleared and can be archived.
It is just that for now, really old PO's are located in the present residence time
I hope this slyness will help someone else one day.

Files disappeared from library, "missing" files not really missing

I had a folder with 3 files in different formats for each image. These were imported several days ago, grouped into stacks, captioned, tagged, etc. and synced to the files. They continued to exist in the library some time afterward, but today when I opened lightroom all of the jpg versions of all of the images and all 3 formats of one image in particular had vanished from the library. It did not claim that it could not find them on disk (and in fact the files *do* still exist on disk right where they should), they just didn't show up. I was able to re-import all of the jpg images without trouble, but for the other two formats of the one missing image, importing one of them fails because it "already exists in the library," and the other one is willing to import but then doesn't show up in the folder or the recently imported files list. When I try to synchronize the folder, it suggests that I import that file, but it never actually does. Since importing the jpgs, it also suggests that I remove 53 "missing" files, the number of jpgs imported. When I view the missing files in the library, it shows only 2 of the jpgs, one of which belongs with the files that will not import and neither of which is actually missing--they can both be synchronized just fine by clicking the little synchronize icon on the actual photo.
Does anyone know what's going on here and how I might be able to get the files that won't import back into the library? And how to be sure that files won't just go away on their own again?
Edit: to be clear, missing versions of files were definitely not stacked with the other ones and the "don't import duplicates" box was not checked when re-importing the ones that won't re-import

I managed to get the photos that wouldn't import back in by deleting them directly out of the database and then reimporting them into lightroom. I'm a little concerned that they disappeared in the library view in the first place, though. Does this sort of thing happen often, and under what circumstances? I'm still in the free trial period and was very close to buying the program, but now I'm not so sure. If I'm using an application to manage my photos, I want to know that it's actually managing all of the photos I put into it and not randomly forgetting about them.
I'm still having the not-really-missing files problem, though. I think it may actually be because they got associated as "sidecar" files somehow and are now in there twice, once as the sidecar file and another time as a separate jpg image. I'm not really sure why only one of them shows up in the missing images view, I think it might be because I edited that one so it's in a slightly different state from the others? If there are any tips on how to resolve that state, I'm all ears, I'd like it to stop telling me I have 53 missing files when I don't.

Flex 4: Custom ScrollBar not working in Custom DropDownList

I'm having an odd issue that I just cannot figure out. I have a custom DropDownList .as component (to pass color values) and a custom skin. In this skin I am using a custom Scroller (same AS file component with mxml skin). When I use this configuration, clicking on the scrollbar just closes the DropDown. If I remove the skin from my custom scrollbar it works, which leads me to believe it has something to do with the DropDown skin. Even if I revert my custom Scroller to the spark Scroller, it still doesn't work. I've narrowed it down to what seems like a problem with my DropDownList skin.
Not really sure what code to put here, but all I've been doing is right clicking my project and making new ActionScript components and MXML skins from the default skin. Here is my DropDownList skin, not sure if I should paste any other code? I have no idea what would be causing this, so I don't really know what code to place.

Dvd not as clear as avi files

Not really sure what I'm doing wrong. I've been putting a complication of HS football highlight films together for players. I'm ripping the dvd game films and making them into avi files. I then work on them in Premiere Pro CS3, when done I export my creation as an avi file and author the dvd in Nero latest version. My question is, the final dvd looks a little muddy or pixilated, but the avi files when played on the computer look clean & crisp. If someone could explain what I'm doing wrong and how to rectify the problem I would really appreciate it. Thanks for any input & help. Dan

Just had a thought...you said..

So you may be close to the people at the school, know them etc.... Maybe there is a way to get the source material before it is compressed a lot...from the person(s) shooting the games ??
If you talk to them about your difficulty and ask , maybe you can get better source material to edit the stuff.
