Flex - scroll wheel ok using IE, but not on FF or Chrome?

Switching between browsers during debugging and noticed the scroll wheel does not work in Firefox or Chrome, but is fine in Internet Explorer. Anyone else notice this? Suppose I could use a scroll listener and manually do it, but would much rather not!
I asked on stackoverflow.com (forum layout, login and features around 100% better than adobes), but got no real answer

Problem solved. It was slash and stop sign related. I looked at my real files (not the test ones I posted). What I saw was that I had used a combination of single backward slash with single forward slash for image path :-O Looks like FF and Opera showed me a middle finger for doing that while Chrome etc did not care. Either way my real problem is solved.

The scroll function on my mousepad is disabled when viewing a pdf file in firefox version 5.0. The scroll works on the pdf, but not on the other tabs. When the pdf is closed, the scroll function returns to normal. Any ideas?!

Hey thanx for the help, it worked like a charm.
I think firefox changed the application lay out, as I used to be able to choose my PDF opener from the list at " Adobe Acrobat Forms Document' where I could choose Nitro-PDF reader, but it has now moved all the way to the bottom like you suggested to the obvious place of "Portable Document Format" section.
If someone didn't tell me , I wouldn't have scrolled all the way down to be able to find it... it really should be with all its cousins up the top...

I was originally on your side in the discussion of batteries, however, after being contradicted by Meg St._Clair and others I took a leap of faith and took their advice with my Apple devices. Much to my chagrin their advice has proven true.
Long story short I have not noticed any differences in my battery life by changing my charging habits to what is convienant over what is more in line with conventional battery myths.

My mouse and trackpad arent responding the click on finder, i can use multitouch but not 1 touch. Aswell when i go to the findertab at the bottum with the mouse, app icons Does Not expand.

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!

Use Skype, but not torrents

Hi.
I am looking for a way to allow the users in my company to use skype, but not to be able to use torrents. We are using Skype to communicate, but the torrents are making a lot of traffic.
I was thinking to use Squid proxy. I can disallow the users to download *.torrent files, but I do not like that way of dealing with the problem. Do you have the same problem at your companies and how did you manage to solve it.

There are two projects, l7-filter and ipp2p, which allow you to match p2p traffic and drop it using iptables. Both need kernel patching, though (edit: actually, ipp2p apparently doesn't).

The means that iTunes can no longer locate the songs (mp3/m4a) on the hard-drive and as such they won't even play in iTunes, let alone transfer to your iPod.
Have you recently re-organised your music folders? If you know where these songs are on your hard-drive then you could clear all of the tracks that display the symbol from iTunes and then add them again from their location either through the 'add folders to library' function or by dragging and dropping them diectly into iTunes from Windows Explorer.

I am remotely accessing a website which has iFrame in it. The website uses https, but iFrame tag has "src" pointing to a site using http only. However, when I remotely go to the site, iFrame shows the message below although the ''src" url is http only (there is no SSL certificate) when I use IP address (https://10.10.101.156:8006/apprecovery/admin/Core/Storage) in address bar instead of hostname (https://hostname:8006/apprecovery/admin):

The model 2,1 MacBook has an easily removable battery. You can get a new third party battery fairly cheap on eBay. Every MacBook from 2006 through Mid 2009 except the Late 2008 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 and 2010 White Unibodies use the same A1185 battery.

Removing the battery:
Shut down the computer. Disconnect any cords connected to the computer.
Turn the computer over.
Locate the battery latch on one side of the battery.
Use a coin to turn the latch a quarter-turn clockwise. The battery should pop up slightly.
Lift the battery out.
Installing the battery:
Place the right side of the battery into the battery compartment at an angle, as shown below.
Gently press the left side of the battery down until it sits flat.
While holding the battery down, use a coin to turn the latch a quarter-turn counter-clockwise. The battery should lock into place.
Note: Keep in mind that once the new battery is inserted, you will need to press the power button to start up the computer.

Images Viewable in Firefox But Not In Explorer, Safari, Chrome.

I have a coldfusion page with images. The images are called up dynamically from my Mysql database. The image field with my database has the datatype "char(100)". All that is stored in that database field is the file path to the folder of which the image is stored which is: \photos\RSL\1.jpg.
On my webpage, the image placeholder looks like this:

This images display just fine on Firefox, But Not In Explorer, Safari, & Chrome. These latter three just show a broken image. Could there be something wrong with either my coldfuson or Mysql file path where each of the letter three browsers are trying to access?
I'm running Coldfusion 9 on my local machine, using OS Window 7 Professional.

When I hard coded the file path it worked. I checked the source code and saw no white space. I even went to each browser's options dialog box to make sure that the show image options were checked. It may be my coding. In my image folder there are categories of other folders within folders that have images of which Coldfusion calls up whenever the browser needs it. Could that be the problem? Should I have all of my 300 images in one folder?

MOUSE Loses Power When SCROLL WHEEL is used, power back up when CLICK SCROLL WHEEL. FRUSTRATING.

Whenever I scroll using the scroll wheel with this Belkin USB MOUSE my mouse loses POWER and becomes unresponsive. It only regains power when the SCROLL WHEEL IS CLICKED. It works perfectly on other hardware so I know that it's this TOSHIBA LAPTOP or an UPDATE thatis the PROBLEM. I do NOT use the touchpad because they are inferior to mice when working with graphics. Is there some kind of conflict here? How do I PERMANENTLY disable the touchpad--it's completely and utterly useless to me compared to a mouse and just makes me angry and I really want to be able to use the scroll wheel on the MOUSE without it turning on and off and on and off and on and off. This is a very recent issue that hasn't plagued me until recently maybe within a week or two. Note when this happens it flips between the synaptics touchpad and the mouse for CURRENT SELECTED INPUT DEVICE, regardless of WHETHER OR NOT I have it set to disable touchpad when usb device is plugged in, so I don't need to try that step. I haven't heard of the scroll wheel issue anywhere else (mine is fine), but the blank picture issue is known.
Myself and many others have experienced it, definitely a software bug.

10.4.9 Scroll Wheel Problem - using Safari with a mouse with scroll wheel.

Since installing 10.4.9 I have noticed that when on web sites with Safari, when using the scroll wheel on my Logitech MX1000 Laser cordless mouse (Jan 2005) with Logitech control Center 2.1.3 (latest), suddenly you can no longer scroll using the wheel, in fact the mouse becomes "Dead" (the trackpad, too), so you cannot use the scroll arrows either. You have to quit Safari and restart Safari. Unfortunately this has happened 1-2 times/day and only since installing 10.4.9....... MacBook (May 2006, first ones) 2 gHz RAM.
Any form you are filling-out -- not possible to send, since you cannot click the send button...
Has anyone seen this problem or similar mousing problems running 10.4.9?

NOTE: I have just learned that the Logitech Control Center 2.1.3 is NOT compatible with Mac OS 10.4.9 but that Logitech is working on 2.1.4-- so if others are having a similar problem, then it is not your Mac!

Hi, I am using SQL Server 2008 R2 & deploying a report to reportserver with fixed headers while scrolling, this works fine in bids but not when deployed to reportserver. We are IE 9.

Since you have identified the 2 xml files are identical, according to my knowledge, there maybe a compatibility issue with IE 9 and SSRS 2008 R2, so I suggest that you could run the report in compatibility mode. Please make sure you have turned on Compatibility
View in Internet Explorer 9 by following steps:
When Internet Explorer recognizes that a webpage is not compatible, you will see the Compatibility View button on the Address bar. Try clicking it.
When Compatibility View is turned on, the button changes from an outline to a solid color when you view the page.

I can receive and send mail using my comcast app but can only receive mail using the mail app but not send.

Been there and done that with the Comcast email account on my iPad. Specifically ...
Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.
