Flex Time not working

When I load an older project into Logic 9 I am unable to use the flex time editing in the arrange window. The audio file is analysed but the markers dont appear and neither do the appropriate tools at the cursor. I know the file is analysed because the transients do appear in the sample editor.
Eventually I found the work around by starting with a completely empty project and importing everything with the new import function in the browser. This is the ONLY way that I can use the flex stuff on any of my previous projects. I have had to completely start again with redoing all my templates from scratch if I want to use flex time in a new project as well.
The folks at Apple's pro application support were very patient with me as I worked through all their suggestions but ultimately no help at fixing the problem. There is no question that the facility should work with audio files in older projects. They didn't seem to have heard of the problem occurring before. Anyone else had similar experience?

Had a similar thing myself. Make sure you select the region you want to flex, then make sure that the check box marked "Flex" is checked in the inspector on the left of the arrangement.

Ichat - getting started for first time NOT Working ..please help

I opened the Ichat application for th every first time today. When I open the app a box pops up and asks you to enter your user name and password and with which type of account you want to log in with, etc. First, I chose my mobile me account ( I also have a mac.com account and teh same thing I am going to describe happens with it as well for it is not an apple id dependent problem). I do so and click continue. The next screen comes up in the box and it is titled " encrypted ". Then in the box it says you are now ready to use ichat" . At the bottom of the box it says click done to begin using ichat.
Thus, is my problem. There is no "done" option to click on. The only button options to click on are: "learn more" , "go back" or "continue" . If I click "continue" nothing happens and I cannot do anything or begin using ichat. If I like "learn more" nothing happes at all - thus, the same result as clicking "continue". If I click back it will goto the previous screens but nothing changes.
Has anyone experienced this before? It seems strange and odd for an apple software to be so deleterious. How do i fix it so I can use iChat?

Unfortunately although very rare some people do find that iChat does this.
Do this first.
Open your Home Folder (Little House icon)
Go to the Preferences Folder within and then find all the com.apple.iChat(xxx).plist items and delete them.
Try iChat again.
You should see several Start Up Screens.
1) A Welcome Screen.
2) A Valid AIM name (Includes options for MobileMe and @mac.com as well as AIM) plus confirming your Name (Your name maybe Prefilled from the Address Book)
3) the Bonjour Enable (or not) screen.
4) The Jabber option (Includes GoogleTalk) This Screen includes options to change Server Names and Ports under the text fields for the Jabber ID.
5) A Video Preview pane. (You can use this to take a Snapshot for your Buddy Pic)
6) a Details of Accounts you have set up screen.
7) the Done Screen.

If this does not work we may have to get you to Reinstall iChat.
How much work this entails depends how far your OS has been updated above the Install Disk Level.
Could you tell me what OS version the Install Disk is (What came on your Computer when new) ?
And what OS level you are currently using ?

"Show my windows and tabs from last time" not working, Mac OS 10.6.4, FF 3.8.10 or FF 4 Beta 6

I have tried any number of times to get this to work, but it's still not working. On my other Mac with OS 10.6.4 and FF 3.6.8/10 the "show my windows and tabs from last time" is working just fine.
I have checked some of the settings in about:config per some of the other forum posts with resolution to this issue, but this hasn't worked for me. Especially Since some settings have changed in the more recent versions of FF.
I'm pretty sure my settings are correct. Is anyone else having this same issue?
On the Mac exhibiting the issue it prompts me if I want to close all open tabs when the red X is clicked, when I quit firefox it keeps my tabs open just fine when firefox starts up the next time. This is normal behavior, but when the feature in question is active it overrides this behavior, on my other mac, and just stores my last session so that when I open firefox all is as it was before it was closed (either closing it via quit or with the red X will do the trick).
On my new mac, the prompt to close open tabs never goes away and my tabs just vanish, whichever way I close firefox.

If you use [[Clear Recent History]] in Firefox 3.5 and later to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox then restoring tabs from the last session ("Save & Quit" or "Show my windows and tabs from last time") doesn't work.

TS2755 I living in Israel using Hot Mobile an 3.9G network, transferred my old number from another carrier and for some reason the imessage / face-time not working anymore even restore not helped, it stuck on "waiting for activation" please help

after somthing the transfer like 24 later hours they transfered my old number from another carrier witch is 054-xxxxxx
and now not working.

Hi guys,
I keep getting "waiting for activation" on my iMessage. I can only send/receive iMessage from my email address, NOT my phone number.
I have done all kind of fixing suggestions that I can find online, but nothing works so far.
- Date & time set as automatic (I don't know why this matter, but mine was already set as automatic from the begining)
- Reset network setting
- Changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8.
- Restore to factory setting (from back up & as new iPhone)
- Turning on/off iMessage & facetime
- Sign out/in of apple ID
- Change location from apple ID
- Hard reset/reboot
And many others.
...me too. I'm in Portugal having the same issue!! Hopefuly Apple will give us a solution, shortly...

Face time not working in egypt

I bought two iPhone 4 one from apple store in Paris n the other from Vodafone in Egypt and the one from Egypt have face time but is not activating so does anyone know how to activate it although my Paris iPhone is activating face time automatically n it is working fine

Guys I have just contacted the apple support and i have a little chat with them regarding this issue as i have the same question, my case is i have bought iPhone 6 plus from the UAE apple store and for sure there is no FaceTime application or even FaceTime in the settings as they are disabling this feature in UAE, However i will use this i phone in Egypt which they are enabling this feature in Egypt as i have another i phone with Egypt Sim Card and it works fine so i asked them i want to use the iPhone 6 that i have just bought in Egypt and enabling the FaceTime is that possible ? and they replied with if my country are not denying using FaceTime and iMessage thew will work fine. as they are disabling this function by location only, so once i will be in Egypt i have to restore my phone and it will relocate my location Automatically and the FaceTime and the iMessage will work then as long as my carrier provider is allowing this function.
and actually that make sense as i never heard before anyone here in Egypt has iPhone with no FaceTime feature am always hearing this in UAE and KSA.
I searched a lot online for answer for this question and i always find " it will not work " or "it disabled you can't enable it" and i really get disappointed for those answers as i payed a lot for this phone, so i guarantee to you that it will works in your phone as long as you are not in the districted country, and if you don't believe me you contact the Apple support by yourself.

Flex App not working in IE9

We have a Flex browser based app (Flex 3.6 SDK) and it has been running smoothly on IE since last 1 yr. Front-end is Flex, Middle layer Fluorine web services aka .Net, back-end is SQL. One of our customer reported this peculiar problem that it is not working on IE9 (its a Win 7 64bit laptop). Not working means that after he hits the url, the page loads fine but when he tries logging in he gets error (Thats an error we shoe when we get failure callback from middle layer). Now .Net/back-end people checked the logs and told me that they do not receive any hit from that account. So it means the <mx:Remote object> call for login never reached them. But then how come we got error callback?
Notably,
1. we are not using any session timeout so there is no question of fault callback coming due to that. is their any way that we got a fault callback of Remote Object without it reaching the .Net layer? How can we rectify it?
2. we used Adobe connect and checked this client's machine and we found that his internet options on IE are fine as per http://blogs.adobe.com/cnflash/2011/09/23/adobe-flash-player-cannot-work-on-ie-9-after-ins tallation-or-updates/ . also he is able to open Flash videos without any peoblem so it seems that Flash perhaps is working fine on it.
what other areas can we check to solve it? Any help is valuable guys....

check with firebug.
i suspect that client load swf from cache. means he might not have latest version of swf. make sure he has latest swf.
parameter mismatch will lead to these kind of issue

The problem now has changed. I just realized that if the bluetooth is not working and I put the pc to sleep when I start it again in most of the times the problem is gone, it may start working right away or even some seconds after it left the sleep mode. I tried checking it a few times and it happened 4 out of 5 times I tried. But after the Bluetooth starts working again if I turn the computer off (shut down) and turn it back on later or even if I restart the laptop, then the problem starts happening all over again, until I put it to sleep and turn it on from spleep mode. This problem is really weird to me.
I am thinking that maybe there is some feature in the windows 8 that is not allowing the bluetooth to start when the computer starts from shut down or from restart, but that doesn't block the bluetooth when it is put to sleep.
Does anybody has any idea of what is going on and how to solve it?

I wonder if this issue is carrier specific because my friend who is on AT&T is not having any problems. It started for me on April 9th first but resolved on its own but today it is still not working for me. I searched on google and there are notes saying that Apple was having system issues with imessages on April 9th and I wonder if it is Apple again today as well.

Flex debug not working in FB3r3 on web apps

I am developping a Flex application for an Apache Tomcat 5.5
server.
I installed eclipse 3.3 with the FB3r3 plug-in (after
uninstalling Flash as requested). To test all was well I created a
simple web application with server type 'none' the Flex debugging
worked fine. However, if I set the server type to J2EE with a
Tomcat 5.5 server the Flex debugging does not work with the same
application.
I have tried switching web browser from internal to default
system (IE) (the browser used with the 'none' application), but
this didn't help.
What have I missed? Any help appretiated.

Well... even though the upgrade brought all the settings over
from CF7, the debug settings weren't implemented. The setting was
checked like it was implemented but it wasn't. To fix, uncheck and
save your settings. Then recheck the debug setting and save.

Usually, the web server you use for streaming should send before the FLV packets from that interval, a FLV header with the needed metadata to ensure a correct playback.
In this case, you could point the src to something like: http://myserver/path/movie.flv?start=5&end=15 that should be a correct self-contained flv.
Can you give an example of such stream? You can PM me if you need confidentiality.

I am in India and face time is not working since software upgradation to iOS 7.1.1 in my both iPhone 4 and iPad 2.
Please help to restore this feature.

It takes two to tango.
To have FaceTime running all devices should have IOS 7.1.1 or IOS 6.1.6 for older devices.

Additional SDK for Flex Builder - not working

I have a Flex Builder 3.0.2. It's shipped with Flex SDK 2.0.1 and 3.2. I would like to add the new Flex SDK 3.5. I followed the documentation: http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=build_6.html#162812:
- extracted SDK 3.5
- added into my SDK list
- set to default
- restart Flex Builder
- clean project
But it's just not working. There are many functions from the documentation I can't use still (but should be available with SDK 3.5). How can I fire SDK 3.5 up?

I can't solve your problem, but I can say that Flex Builder 3
is much faster amd more stable than FB2.

Face time not working on my mac but it works on my iPad and iphone

Face time is not working on my mac computer, but it is working on my ipad and iphone. what can and should i do?
On another note, my iphone is not receiving the incoming receipts messages i sent on my mac. when i do send messages on my mac i receive them on my phone just dont receive theirs on my phone.
