Flex view

Flex view needs an update! Flex view movies are lagging a lot sound is great and the picture doesn't get to jumpy but it still lags I checked my entire computer for a problem and found nothing and I checked my internet connection and even plugged in my Ethernet cord I called tech support and they said it was a video lagging problem they said there may be a bug or two with flex view and said Verizon might need to update it they also said a new version of silverlight would help as well thank you for taking the time to read this.

  • Live streaming of a non-Flex View video from PC to TV via any FiOS capabilities

    Hey all - 
         Is it possible to, using any capability of FiOS/Flex View, stream a live video from my laptop to my TV?  There is an annual competition from Europe I watch every year (only available on the web to US viewers) and it requires a special plug-in so I can only view it from my laptop, unless of course I use an adapter to plug it into my TV (which I can, but prefer not to do if FiOS/Flex View has such an option).
         Going through the Manager software, I couldn't locate anything like that, but for all I know I've just overlooked it or maybe someone has figured out a way to do this successfully.

    I do apologize, but there is no way for that to happen. The Flex View or Media Manager software does not have the ability to stream live video broadcasts  to your television. Looks like the adapter you were talking about is the best way to go. Enjoy your competition!

  • Flex View only for movies?

    Flex-View is a disappointment in that you can only pipe feature length movies to another device. Does anyone know if there are plans to allow you to simply view prerecorded TV shows on a PC? Here I am sitting in an Ethernet and wireless environment in the privacy of my home and I can't direct the TV or the DVR to my desktop system in another room on the same network. I can control the DVR from anywhere but I can't actuallt watch the recordings  in the next room on my computer.

  • Flex View not streaming on wifi but works on 3G

    Flex View streaming of paid and free tv shows and movies is not working on my Verizon Fios router wifi.  I have tried it on my iPad 3 and my iPhone 4.  But when I disable wifi on my iPhone and force it to 3G Flex View content plays fine. 
    When I click to "Watch" button the playback screen launches very briefly but then just crashes. Again, no problwith over 3G. 
    All other FIOS and other apps work fine.  Any help appreciated.

    sounds like a bad wifi channel
    you should log into the router.

    The default user name for the Verizon MI424WR router is "admin," and the default password is "password" (do not include the quotation marks). 
    Note: To improve security, your router password may have been changed to the serial number of your router if you have not changed the password from the default of "password." You can find your router's password on the label affixed to the bottom or back of your router.
    After you are logged in navigate to wireless settings, and basic security settings and look for channel.  
    Change to 1, 6 and 11.  Try not to use any other channel as they are overlapping and cause trouble for you later.  
    Let us know which if any worked.

  • Flex View purchases with bugs and no apparent support

    I'm trying to get help with some of the flex view movies we've bought recently. The first issue that came up was a movie that wouldn't start where we left off, but always reset to the beginning. All of the other flex view movies we have will start where you stop it.
    Then we got a movie where the audio was out of sync with the video, but only in the HD version. 
    Then a couple days ago, the SD version of a movie just disappeared completely, but it was there when the movie was purchased.
    We tried chat help, but the person didn't have a clue beyond the scripted stuff, and tech help called when we were out, and the phone support says that Flex View support is online only. (But if you go to the page they suggest, there's just a basic FAQ page for Flex View, and no support link at all.
    It seems like these are individual bugs in the underlying programming, or maybe it's a fault with the set top box. In any case, looking for solutions.

Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
    Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe".
    Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

  • Media Manager Flex View Library upload crash

    The Flex View library upload option crashes whenever I try to upload anything.  I have Mac OS X Lion and am trying to sync my iPhoto library  Which is 20 Gb ie well below the 32Gb limit.  As soon as the upload starts the program quits unexpectedly.  Anyone have the same problem and an answer?  Sometimes there is a partial upload before the crash, but never more than a few minutes.

    I have a similiar problem with my Mac Lion. After selecting files to upload (sync) the program just hangs. I have been able to successully sync with a PC, but the Mac program just won't do it and I tried many things.

  • Change outline colors in Flex View?

    The orange and green outlines in Flex View are hard to distinguish with my particular red/green colorblindness variant. Is there a configuration knob that can customize the outline colors?

  • Refresh Flex View

    Is there a key command or quick method of refreshing an entire tracks regions whilst it is in flex mode?
    For example; Say I have an audio track with some regions in it, I open flex view and select one of the algorithms to suit. Job done and all of the regions are analysed and the transient markers are added.
    Then, later on I decide to add another region to the audio track from another track but when this is inserted it isn't analysed.
    Reading the manual, one way of doing this is inserting your region into the track and from the inspector's region parameter box you check the box but is there a quicker way of doing it?

    As far as I know, there is no other way (e.g., a key command). But keep in mind that you don't need to do this one region at a time, or even one track at a time. If you create a selection of many regions, you can turn Flex on for all of them by clicking once on the checkbox in the Region Inspector. And this works even if the selected regions don't all reside on the same track.
    Along these lines, it's helpful to know that when you select a track, all the regions on that track are selected, by default. And then if you shift-click another track header, all the regions on that track will be added to the selection.
    And if the selection includes regions that already have the Flex parameter turned on, when you click the checkbox you'll get the proper result (i.e., they will remain Flexed). This means that if your arrangement includes both Flexed regions and unFlexed regions, and you want them all to be Flexed, you can just do ⌘A (Select All) and then click the checkbox once. And it doesn't matter if the selection includes midi regions, because they will just be ignored.
    Finally, here's a related tip. When selecting a Flex mode from the Flex menu, your action will be applied to all tracks (all audio tracks, that is) if you use the shift key. (You don't have to hold down that key during the whole process of pulling down the menu; it just needs to be down at the moment you release the menu.) This works in either the menu in the track header that becomes visible when you do ⌘F (Flex View), or the Flex menu that appears in the Track Inspector.

  • Missing Flex View Movies

    I have purchased several movies on Flex View and they have begun to disappear! I don't understand why. There doesn't seem to be any reason for it. One of the ones that is missing was purchased months ago, and another was only purchased recently. Please HELP!!!

    Did you possibly move around the time or within a month or two from when you noticed the titles disappearing?

  • Purchased Flex View movies

    I am moving out of the Verizon service area and have a lot of movies I have purchased.  On the web site, it specifically says -
    You can still view Flex View videos you have purchased after you disconnect your Verizon services as long as you maintain your User ID and password at the Flex View Store.
    No one at Verizon is able to help me with this.  They said I would be emailed a link to download all of the movies to my computer.  There are 39 movies.  They are not all going to fit on my computer.  The web site makes it sound like I can still just sign into the web site or the Verizon app on my phone and view them from there. 
    Will I be able to continue to sign in with my current user ID and password and view the movies online or do I need to download them all from the email or otherwise lose them?

    Sorry you were told that you had to download the videos to your computer. This is not true. You will be able to continue watching these videos online.

  • Flex View Pay for On-Demand Basic Cable Stations

    Went to watch an episode of The Secret Circle that our DVR didn't record for some reason.  Find that I would need to pay to watch this CW show through Flex View and it's not offered on-demand for free??

    I also get some pixilation while watching TV or DVR recordings but not as much.  I have had this issue since I have had FIOS. I call for support and they just reboot the router and cable boxes.  I have had the ONT replaced and the router replaced.  I have also bought new computers and laptop during this time.  Currently I have one fios router acting as a bridge.  I have apple TV, Panasonic BlueRay, Pioneer receiver and a laptop connected to the bridge. I have an imac and vonage box connected to main FIOS router.   I have 2 iphones, 3 ipads, and 1 android tablet connect wirelessly.  I of course am not using all these devices at once and mostly using the laptop and iphone/ipad and on demand at the same time.  I also have a hard time streaming using airplay either using the apple TV or the Pioneer receiver. I also have also connected a moca adapter and switch and all the problems remained the same.  I checked all my splitters and all are 5-1000mhz.  All splitters except one are 3.5db and that one is 7.5db.  I have also tried disconnecting all my devices and still the problems persists.  I posted this but never got an answer.

    How do I stop the Flex View po-up message from opening EVERY TIME I log into My Verizon Home?  The "do not show again" box does not help.  Tech support is helpless.  This makes my want to drop FIOS.

    Tom I do not see it in IE (win 7 or 8) nor do i see it in FF (Ubuntu 12.04) Try turning on tracking protection in IE and try AdBlock Plus w/FF.

  • Flex View pop-up ads.

    I am getting a bit fed up with the "Flex View' pop-up ads popping up in my face every time I log into my Verizon e-mail.  Is there any way to have Verizon STOP these annoying ads if I don't want them?

    Never seen a pop up going into into webmail.   Do you happen to have the verizon toolbar installed?  If so remove it.

  • Flex View Advertised Movie is not Available

    I do not understand why the 2012 version of the movie Sparkle is advertised as available as a flex view Movie, advertised as "Now Showing", advertised as one of the top 5 rentals... but is not available to actually rent.  Logging on to MyVerizon gives me the option to BUY the 2012 movie and to RENT the 1976 version...
    Verizon support gave me a flat "It's not available"... No further explanation, no insight as to when it will be available, no "have a nice day".
    Little furstrating. Just wanted to understand if this was temporary....  Back to the Red Box.
