Flex with Hibernate using HTTP

Hi All,
am new to Flex. Can any one post a simple code on Flex with
Hibernate using HTTP , i mean connecting to database using
Hibernate and invoking the hibernate by using the HTTP service.
can we have a sequence like
Flex(MXML)->JSP->Hibernate->Database .Is it possible?
Thanks in Advance

> can we have a sequence like
Flex(MXML)->JSP->Hibernate->Database .Is it possible?
That's exactly what you're going to have and it certainly is
possible. (Replace the JSP with Servlet, Struts Action, JSF or
whatever)
Usually you'll send data back -- output to JSP or write to
HttpServletResponse object -- in XML or JSON format. The data would
be delivered to the result event of the HTTService in Flex. If it
fails for some reason, the fault event of HTTService class would be
invoked.
The important thing to realize about Flex is that it cannot
directly connect to a DB; you need a server side action that would
get data from wherever write it to response. It's more like Ajax
calls to a JSP/Servlet.

  • XI message with Attachment using Http Adapter

    Hi ,
    We are using XI/PI 7.0 with Sp09 and Sender Application is SRM and Receiver is Ariba MarketPlace.
    We are trying to Send PO with Attachments like Word, PDF etc from SRM to Ariba using Https adapter and from SRM we are using ABAP Proxy. When I did the testing with out any special config, I was able to send the attachments (I can see word doc as part of the payload-attachment) to XI from SRM but this attachment is not going through https adapter from XI to Ariba?
    I have read some posts on this but I could not find the answer for my situation. One of the solution is that we can use SOAP adapter but we don't want to use Soap for some reasons.
    Please give your thoughts.
    Thanks in Advance.

    That is true.
    > Also sap help link says Http adapter doesn't support
    > attachments and XI adapter also doesn't support.
    That is not true. XI adapter (in fact we do not talk of an adapter) supports attachments.
    > It means Proxy also shouldn't support because proxy is
    > nothing but XI adapter.
    This is true, ABAP or Java Proxy are like XI adapter. Therefore it supports attachments.

    The online help is wrong.

    I do not see another solution besides using SOAP adapter in so-called non-SOAP mode. Yes you have to reimport the certificates to J2EE stack.

  • Load Balancing with ACE using HTTP Header information

    Hello,
    I am trying to setup a class-map using http loadbalance match-all.
    What I want to do is check for the HTTP Host and if it doesnot match the http referer than go to server farm A. if it does match then go to server farm B.
    My problem is the host can be serveral different values as well as the referer. Can you setup varibales in the ACE so I can store the value from http host and compare it against http referer?
    Thanks
    Mike C.

    It should be like this (If you want to use separate class maps for referrer & Host).
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any site1-HostHDR
    2 match http header Host header-value ".*site1.com"
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any site1-Referer
    2 match http header Referer header-value "http://site1.*"
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any site2-HostHDR
    2 match http header Host header-value ".*site2.com"
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any site2-Referer
    2 match http header Referer header-value "http://site2.*"
    class-map type http loadbalance match-all Site1-policy
    2 match class-map site1-HostHDR
    3 match class-map site1-Referer
    class-map type http loadbalance match-all Site2-policy
    2 match class-map site2-HostHDR
    3 match class-map site2-Referer
    policy-map type loadbalance http first-match Site1
    class Site1-policy
    serverfarm SFarm-A
    class Site2-policy
    serverfarm SFarm-A

  • Creating mysql schema from pojo with hibernate using netbeans

    I have been fortunate in finding some good tutorials on how to create POJOs from database schema using hibernate (e.g. http://netbeans.org/kb/docs/web/hibernate-webapp.html).
    Does anyone know of tutorials on creating database schemas from POJOs -- preferable using netbeans? Even the very smallest tutorial with one table or two related tables will do.

You can use the "hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto" property to control whether the DDL is created from the entities automatically.

  • Integrating Flex with jpa using blazeds

    Hello
              I m using flex builder 4.5 standard version ,and i can not create the combined java/flex project,So i m craete the java class and palced it on the blazeds/WEB-INF/classes.But problem is where to put the persistence.xml file in my flex project

    I am just starting to play with this myself.
    Apparently the  META-INF/persistence.xml has to reside in your WEB-INF/classes directory upon deployment.
    Easiest way would be to put it directly into your source folder of your java codebase.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to use Flex with EJB3?

    Anybody know how to integrate Flex with Java?
    I have a EJB3 project with JPA etc...
    Have to use Eclipse with Flex plugin or can i use Flex Builder and Eclipse only for java classes? (preferring the second option)
    I'm getting crazy, because need this for my college work, too fast as possible.
    Please any explanation or sample.
    Thanks everyone.

    Matt you say, i do not need to write servlet, create wsdl...
    But if i dont do this, my Java Business Rules will be visible to client ?
    If yes...
    1- I need to write Servlet to use HTTP protocol to connect with Flex, then create wsdl of my EJB3.
    2- This wsdl will create client side of my application, then i create my Flex interface normally using HTTP Blaze DS ?

    so my next question is, can you make a echo to work??
    eg, make a function that returns the input string back to the

  • Can't use https and Marsedit to edit a user or group blog

    Hello,
    I wanted to use exclusively https to serve our blogs (group and users).
    On Marsedit the following settings works:
    Home URL = http://servername+/groups/+groupname/weblog/
    RPC URL = http://servername/RPC2
    Blog ID = groups/groupname/weblog
    The following hhtpS settings do not work:
    Home URL = https://servername+/groups/+groupname/weblog/
    RPC URL = https://servername/RPC2
    Blog ID = groups/groupname/weblog
    The solution seems to serve the blogs on http (80) and https (443)
    Regards,
    Thibault

    You can serve blogs and wiki exclusively through SSL and use Marsedit.
    If you have a proper certificate it will work "out of the box".
    If you use a self-signed certificate you just need to make sure it has been added to your keychain.
    Then Marsedit can initiate properly the encrypted communication.
    To add a self-signed certificate, just access your page with Safari using https:// .
    You will have a warning dialogue saying the certificate is not trusted blah blah..
    Just make sure you add permanently this certificate in your keychain by trusting it.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to use https inside flex with 2-way authentication

    I've got a Flex app which provides a front-end for doing  basic CRUD db operations. The app is served up from a Tomcat/Blaze server using 2-way authentication and uses Java objects to do the server-side db work. Serving the app works fine. The problem arises when the data components in the app try to call back to the server to pull data from the db. The HttpService template needs to be https://...   but the call cannot complete because Flex does not provide a certificate to the server as the browser does.
    Using http://... works fine but then the db data is sent in the clear (which is very bad).
    What is the standard way to solve this problem? Is there a way to get Flex to use the same cert that the browser provided?
    Thanks for any assistance!

  • Please help me, I need to use Flex with CF

    Hi everyone,
    I am starting to retract my brain from an intense 2 days to
    figure out how to use Flex with Coldfusion. I am using Coldfusion 8
    Beta (this part is good, don't need help for CF itself). I am also
    using Flex Builder 2 (with chart but this not the topic). I
    installed FDS 2.5 before to install ColdFusion 8 but I think CF8
    have is own FDS or something like that... anyway, it might help to
    mention it!
    Well, I tried HTTPService, RemoteObject, WebSer vice -
    NOTHING WORKS!!! Argh! Did I mention I spent 2 days? ;-)))
    Well, I start with the basic: a login form with an email (as
    a username) and a password to be validated. I have a CFC to do the
    validation and return a simple message (string): "OK' when it is
    valid and a custom message when it is not valid; depending if it is
    the password and/or the email which is not valid.
    I always got an error. Since the error is different depending
    of the method I use, I will explain the latest method I used in
    this message and try to concentrate on that method specifically!
    The method is WebService and here is the error:
    faultCode:Server.Error.Request
    faultString:'HTTP request error'
    faultDetail: 'Error: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError"
    bubbles:false cancelable=false eventPhase=2
    text="Error #2032: Stream Error .
    URL=http://localhost:8501/iDashboard/login.cfc"].
    URL: http://localhost:8501/iDashboard/login.cfc'
    Any help will be very useful!!!
    Thank's

    Cyber,
    This may be what you are looking for. It worked well for me.
    Flex is sweet, but with the number of people confused about setup
    with CF they sure aren't making any friends.

    Thanks again for your consideration.
    I double checked CLASSPATH. And seen starting wls with classpath which i defined, but no change about ecxeption.

    @REM WARNING: This file is created by the Configuration Wizard.
    @REM Any changes to this script may be lost when adding extensions to this configuration.
    @REM *************************************************************************
    @REM This script is used to setup the needed environment to be able to start Weblogic Server in this domain.
    @REM
    @REM This script initializes the following variables before calling commEnv to set other variables:
    @REM
    @REM WL_HOME - The BEA home directory of your WebLogic installation.
    @REM JAVA_VM - The desired Java VM to use. You can set this environment variable before calling
    @REM this script to switch between Sun or BEA or just have the default be set.
    @REM JAVA_HOME - Location of the version of Java used to start WebLogic
    @REM Server. Depends directly on which JAVA_VM value is set by default or by the environment.
    @REM USER_MEM_ARGS - The variable to override the standard memory arguments
    @REM passed to java.
    @REM PRODUCTION_MODE - The variable that determines whether Weblogic Server is started in production mode.
    @REM DOMAIN_PRODUCTION_MODE
    @REM - The variable that determines whether the workshop related settings like the debugger,
    @REM testconsole or iterativedev should be enabled. ONLY settable using the
    @REM command-line parameter named production
    @REM NOTE: Specifying the production command-line param will force
    @REM the server to start in production mode.
    @REM
    @REM Other variables used in this script include:
    @REM SERVER_NAME - Name of the weblogic server.
    @REM JAVA_OPTIONS - Java command-line options for running the server. (These
    @REM will be tagged on to the end of the JAVA_VM and
    @REM MEM_ARGS)
    @REM

    @REM PATCH_CLASSPATH - Classpath used for patches
    @REM PATCH_LIBPATH - Library path used for patches
    @REM PATCH_PATH - Path used for patches
    @REM WEBLOGIC_EXTENSION_DIRS - Extension dirs for WebLogic classpath patch
    @REM JAVA_VM - The java arg specifying the VM to run. (i.e.
    @REM - server, -hotspot, etc.)
    @REM USER_MEM_ARGS - The variable to override the standard memory arguments
    @REM passed to java.
    @REM PRODUCTION_MODE - The variable that determines whether Weblogic Server is started in production mode.
    @REM DERBY_HOME - Derby home directory.
    @REM DERBY_CLASSPATH
    @REM - Classpath needed to start Derby.
    @REM

    Hi OMAW8,
    It would be better if you could share us the detailed error message in English.
    Do you mean that you could run your test in your build agent machine? If so, I doubt that it would be related to the TFS build. I mean that maybe it is not the test issue.
    Please share the detailed error in English, and then post this issue to the TFS-build forum would be better for this issue since it works well in build agent machine.

  • How do I use HTTPS with iMQ 2.0?

    Our business requirement mandates that we have to use tunneling in a SECURE way, i.e. we have to use HTTPS tunneling.
    Certainly this requires JMQ client code to open SSL socket instead of plain socket and also requires Web server to be configured and provides some management function to deal with
    I like to believe that we are not the only one asking such a feature. Is it doable with JMQ? Is this in the work?

    Deploying the JMQ2.0 HTTP Tunneling servlet on an https url will enable a
    secure connection from the client to the webserver. However, the tunneling
    servlet connection to the broker in JMQ2.0 is via a regular TCP connection and
    not via SSL.
    In our next major release we are adding the feature that provides a secure
    connection right from the client through the tunneling servlet (https) and on
    to the broker via SSL.
    We will (soon) have a beta version available.
