Flexible Grouping

I have a crystal report to convert in Webi. Universe build in ready.
Is there a way to do flexible Grouping on the objects.Please find the screen shot of the
crystal reports parameters

I have had this problem before.
We blanked out the Master data Group on all Contract Accounts for a given BP, and assigned the different Collection Strategies at the Contract Account level.
Basically we did not use the MD Group ->Collection Strategy default configuration because it was causing us some online validation issues.

How to populate members in AD Directory Users group

I have a Mountain Lion Server bound to Active Directory hosted on a Windows 2003 server. After binding I can see all active directory users and groups in Server.app however some groups will not populate the group members, namely Domain Users, Domain Computers and a few other built in groups. These groups are default groups that are populated automatically with any user or computer joined to the domain. This isn't that big a deal except that I want to use these groups to apply settings in profile manager. Since the group members will not populate the settings do not apply. It kind of makes sense that these groups would not populate since users/computers are assigned to them automatically and the mac server may not be able to read the proper data to fill these groups but this seems like a major flaw.
Any ideas to make this work?

you should use OUs (an OU is they type of object (folder) that is available for you to easily create.
The object type you are asking about is a "container", and there are various reasons why an OU is more flexible (applying GPO, etc).

Error in Data Transfer : From CO-PA to SOP Flexible Planning

I am working on a Scenario of Transferring CO-PA data to Flexible Planning, I am encountering few problems, I have done the followig steps, request you to check and get back to me..

We are able to transfer data from CO-PA to standard SOP, But we tried for transfer to Flexible Planning SOP by creating Mass Processing Job setting as below configuration path.
Production -> Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) ->Functions -> Mass Processing -> Transfer LIS / CO-PA
After executing Job MC8G - Schedule, we checked in Tcode - MC8I u2013 Check, Status: Processed with errors, And also data are not displayed in Tcode : MC95 for Material & active version.
We couldnu2019t find log for error status.
What is the method / Procedure for transfer data to Flexible Planning SOP?

When checking a mass processing job in SOP/flexible planning (Transaction MC8I), in the log error message "Activity and COPA profile have different planning versions?
Or planned/actual indicator in the COPA profile?
Version should be        A00
Please check the MC8S. Then an Avtivity in MC8T
after you create the job in MC8D with the acitivity you have defined for your info structure.
After that check in MD62 for plan value.

In FF 7.0.1, the New Tab button on the Tab Strip disappeared after clicking the Tab Group icon and trying to return, so I'm looking for advice on how to get the New Tab to reappear on the Tab Strip.

In Windows Vista, FF 7.0.1, I selected the Tab Group button to try it out. However, when I selected the Tab Group button again to close that view, the New Tab button in the Tab Strip no longer appears. I'm requesting help to restore the New Tab button (has the "+" sign on it) on the Tab Strip just to the right of the currently open tabs.

You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar.
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button that shows as a plus sign (+) from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions.<br />
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
If you can't find the New Tab button then click the "Restore Default Set" button in the Customize window.
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible space to the left of it.

Standard or Flexible Planning?

Hi Experts,
We've a requirement, where in Forecasting/SOP is carried out in one info str (Flexible & Consistent). The forecasted numbers @ SKU/Matl levels are @ DC's/Hubs (plants) & the folks @ the MFG plant want to check the possibility of meeting the forecasted numbers from a Capacity stand point, before the numbers are finalized & adopted.
The SKU's @ the MFG plant are grouped as per the Work Centers they are produced on & are called MPF's. The capacity evaluations needs to happen by MPF's (matls grouped by work centers). What I've proposed & tested is to have a 2nd Info Str, with Planning Levels that contain the required grouping at the MFG plant (flexible & consistent). I copy the data from my 1st info str (where the forecast is done @ DC;s) to the 2nd @ the Matl/SKU level, let the data aggregate to MPF's, after which I trigger the RCCP evaluation @ the MPF levels.
Does anyone see a better idea?? Can I use Standard SOP on the 2nd info str to make things simple??

It is not possible. In sap, the planning cycle will be SOP -> Demand management -> MRP
SOPu2019 is a forecasting tool enabling you to set up sales, production, and other supply chain targets based on existing, future, or historical data. SOP is most suitable for planning finished goods. SOP plans are passed on to Demand Management in the form of independent requirements (MD61), which in turn is fed in to MRP (Material Requirements Planning).

obsolete goals showing up in it's own tab is by default only avaialbe in predefined UI.
however, the value determinations could be built in flexible so that obsolete goals show up in one criteria group for goals, and active goals appear only in the other criteria group goals.
when the cascaded goal is made obsolete it is noted in the description for flexible, but it will not appear anywhere separately. You could also allow for "deletion of an element" in the flexible template.

Group in a grid pane

Are there any examples for rendering a group of objects in a GridPane so that they are positioned properly ?

I think I have the answer. I didn't need a Group to animate. I just added individual components to a GridPane.

Currently CSS in JFX can't really be used for layout (or sizing). It's one of those grey areas between what is styling (which should be in the CSS) and what is layout (which should be in the FXML). I think I remember Richard once mentioning in a forum or article that he did want to add alignment stuff to the CSS at some point, but don't quote me on that. You could have a search through Kenai to see if there is a feature request for it, and if not add one.
You could maybe fake it by having the labels stretch to take up the available space in the GridPane. To do this you need to disable the max size restriction (i.e. setMaxWidth and setMaxHeight to Integer.MAX_VALUE) and ensure your GridPane constraints are such that the label will fill the cell. Once you have a stretched label the alignment will come into play as the text is aligned relative to the area of the label (as opposed to a layout manager that aligns the whole label relative to its parent). I find putting a border on the label while debugging useful to work out what is going on.
Another, more flexible but less contained alternative might be to use variables in your FXML files. You can do this in a number of ways. One is to create a bean that has all your variables on it with getters and then you can pass this to the namespace of your FXML Loader and then reference it using stuff like ${myConstants.gridAlignment}. Another is to create static methods on a class that take a node, these can then be called from the FXML using similar notation to GridPane.alignment. This second approach only works for things where you want to work on the Node directly, but for your scenario that should be ok I think. And then there's always the option to enable a scripting language in your FXML, which allows you to do most anything.

Group by for Designers

I was thinking as upgrading a site for one of my customers
that you guys need a group by attribute/checker in SPRY. What I am
doing is upgrading a service manual site for trailer/fifth wheel
company. In this site they can sort on year/type/class and it
separates the groups by the way they sort it. What would be good
for designers is if there were something built into spry that
allowed them to know that this was the first of each group. In that
they could do something similar to the spry:if used to
conditionally show the even odd rows. They could use it to
conditionally show a row for a new group header. Another approach
(and both would likely be good for flexibility) is to have a repeat
region that was based on groups. ( spry:regiongroup )
Just some thoughts.

My senario would be to add an additional TR row with full
colspan for the group header. I think your senario would be another
way to do things, but not the way I would take in our companies
traditional output styles.

Windows Administrators group privilege and behavior.

I am trying to run the command remotely, net user username /domain , but it fails saying "System error 5". This behavior is seen as a domain user which is part of Administrators group, but not from any local administrators member.
I need help on the following.
1. I have seen that the Administrators group in Windows is very flexible. Any documentation links or samples how the privileges can be modified?
2. How i resolve the "System error 5" when the net command is run remotely as a domain user part of Administrators.

Here is a list about possible reason of this problem:
There is a time synchronization problem.
Permissions to access the remote computer (Share, NTFS, GPO) are missing.
A firewall or third-party product may eliminate the connection to the remote computer.
The computer account is disabled, has an expired password, or doesn’t exist in the domain.
There is an Active Directory replication problem.

Recursive tables (grouping items)

I have a requirement to allow Users to create groups of items and groups of groups of items( via web interface). [Any item can fall under any number of groups and any group can fall within any number of groups]
I planned to use 2 recursive tables, but I want to see if there are alternative solutions. [This also has to be flexible enough to work with Oracle and mysql]
Also, if anyone has examples for the interface(using jsp), those are greatly appreciated.
Any comments are welcome.

I meant a table that has a foreign key which points to itself, but I would use 1 table (not 2 as I mentioned earlier).

Field Symbols
Field symbols are placeholders or symbolic names for other fields. They do not physically reserve space for a field, but point to its contents. A field symbol cam point to any data object. The data object to which a field symbol points is assigned to it after it has been declared in the program.
Whenever you address a field symbol in a program, you are addressing the field that is assigned to the field symbol. After successful assignment, there is no difference in ABAP whether you reference the field symbol or the field itself. You must assign a field to each field symbol before you can address the latter in programs.
Field symbols are similar to dereferenced pointers in C (that is, pointers to which the content operator * is applied). However, the only real equivalent of pointers in ABAP, that is, variables that contain a memory address (reference) and that can be used without the contents operator, are reference variables in ABAP Objects.
All operations programmed with field symbols are applied to the field assigned to it. For example, a MOVE statement between two field symbols moves the contents of the field assigned to the first field symbol to the field assigned to the second field symbol. The field symbols themselves point to the same fields after the MOVE statement as they did before.
You can create field symbols either without or with type specifications. If you do not specify a type, the field symbol inherits all of the technical attributes of the field assigned to it. If you do specify a type, the system checks the compatibility of the field symbol and the field you are assigning to it during the ASSIGN statement.
Field symbols provide greater flexibility when you address data objects:
If you want to process sections of fields, you can specify the offset and length of the field dynamically.
You can assign one field symbol to another, which allows you to address parts of fields.
Assignments to field symbols may extend beyond field boundaries. This allows you to address regular sequences of fields in memory efficiently.
You can also force a field symbol to take different technical attributes from those of the field assigned to it.
The flexibility of field symbols provides elegant solutions to certain problems. On the other hand, it does mean that errors can easily occur. Since fields are not assigned to field symbols until runtime, the effectiveness of syntax and security checks is very limited for operations involving field symbols. This can lead to runtime errors or incorrect data assignments.
While runtime errors indicate an obvious problem, incorrect data assignments are dangerous because they can be very difficult to detect. For this reason, you should only use field symbols if you cannot achieve the same result using other ABAP statements.
For example, you may want to process part of a string where the offset and length depend on the contents of the field. You could use field symbols in this case. However, since the MOVE statement also supports variable offset and length specifications, you should use it instead. The MOVE statement (with your own auxiliary variables if required) is much safer than using field symbols, since it cannot address memory beyond the boundary of a field. However, field symbols may improve performance in some cases.

Management InfoRecords Type Material Group - Vendor

Hi gurus,
I have created a lot of inforecords for services (type material group-vendor) for production reasons (because in external operations in routings the purchase requisition is as service).
My problem is how to select the vendors on flexible way. For example, when I am assigning a purchase requisition in ME57 appears all inforecords for ALL service in this material group. I need appears only the inforecords created for the specific service related in purchase requisition. Is posible?
Please let me know how to achieve this. Any idea?

I don't pretend the system put automatically an inforecord, but I need in ME57 when I try assign a source supply, the list of InfoRecords for choose only appears the relevant inforecords for the type of "service" of the purchase requisition. Now, system shows me all inforecords for all material group-vendor created. I have differents inforecords for the same vendor for different actions, it is confusing for user.
Maybe exists some key classification or a way to identify the inforecords more easily...
Any idea?? Is posible or not? What do you think?

Flexible real estate: contract between 2 companies

Hi,
We have not yet flexible real estate and we are studying this module for deciding to use it or not. We have a lot of contracts where the landlord is one company of our group and the tenant is another company of our group. Both companies are in the same SAP, so we want to register each contract only one time and get bookings in both companies, at one side for lease-out and at other side for lease-in. It seems not possible. We should have to enter one contract in each company, with redundant information for the conditions, texts, dates, etc... Is it right ? Have you experience with such cases ? What is the best solution ? We are in 4.7, but information about other releases is welcome (please specify the release in your answer).

As far as I know this could'nt be achieved without programming and doesn't seem to be easy. But I can tell you a workaround.
In Transaction Manager Module (used for financial instruments) there is a jocker called Cashflow instrument. You can create an instrument of this type in a company and the operation can be mirrored in the other.
I used this for loans than were lend and borrowed by group companies (shareholders loans) that were in the same SAP installation (in 4.7).
The problem is that it will work Ok for simple cashflow but you have to renounce to all real estate functionality. I mean, if you only need the financial flows and postings it's OK.
