FlexUnit not generating TestRunner.swf when compiled with Hudson / Ant

I've been dabbling with FlexUnit (4.1 RC2) and CI under Hudson. To that effect, I chose to test the server configuration with the sample CI project that comes with the 4.1 RC2 distribution of FlexUnit, and compiling the project with Hudson (now Jenkins after most recent update) and Ant (1.8). It doesn't work because it does not seem to compile the TestRunner swf. After exploring the artifacts in the workspace, it appears that the TestRunner mxml file is created as you would expect, but then the mxmlc compiler is seemingly silently failing to complete the compile step.
It's worth noting at this point that compiling on my local dev machine does work (as it does on a half dozen other dev machines), also, the Hudson configuration is good for compiling other Flash projects. So mxmlc from the Flex SDK is setup and compiling other projects successfully.
Here's the first part of the build log from Hudson / Jenkins as it tries to compile the sample project:
compile:

After this line I would expect another line indicating the swf output and the size of the file - as I see in the build log on my dev machine - but that never happens because mxmlc never writes the swf. I have no idea why this fails.
Then there is a bunch of other stuff to do with attempting to launch the test with Xvnc:

But of course by this point we're toast because mxmlc has not output the TestRunner swf, so the filename is invalid. If anyone has any idea what's wrong, or any suggestions on things to try, please let me know, we're desperate!!
Thanks for your time.

Try ensuring the flash player on the server is definitely the Flash Debugger, also you have set headless to false, it needs to be true.

  • Pragma error when compiling with SDK X

    To compile against to SDK X all I did was:
    1) Used PIMain.c from the SDK X API directory.
    2) Changed ACRO_SDK_LEVEL=0x00090000 => ACRO_SDK_LEVEL=0x000A0000
    3) Changed the include directories to point to the new SDK X directories
    Is there another directive I must add to get the plugin to compile with SDK X?
    My preprocessor list is as follows:
    ACRO_SDK_LEVEL=0x000A0000
    HAVE_W32API_H
    PDMETADATA_HFT=1
    PLUGIN=1

    A quick google for that message would have told you that you're not using generics and the compiler complains about that.
    Google for "Java Generics" to find out what all the fuss is about.

    Windows 8 Adobe Reader will not fully open a pdf compiled with several pdf's into one - why?

    Hi Michael,
    “AdbeRdr11003_en_US.exe” is the download installed on our CEO’s new Windows 8 laptop.  It is a Dell XPS Re: Windows 8 Adobe Reader will not fully open a pdf compiled with several pdf's into one - why? Dell XPS 13" .  It has a full install Windows 8 Professional for its’ Operating System.
    I’ll attempt to attach the file in question.  The file opens fine on our Windows 7, and XP computers (with  the proper Adobe Reader on each).
    Our CEO says there is a message that comes up saying he needs Adobe Flash.  I’m attempting to find out whether or not he is trying to open it the ‘Metro’ view, or the ‘Desktop’ view – no answer yet.
    If your system strips the attachment, let me know, and I’ll upload the file to an ftp site {if necessary}.

    Apple tech support was worthless on both issues.

    Hi I am also in the UK, but not with Tiscali and am having the exact same problems. I can also send with wifi, but not 3G. I have tried amending all sorts of settings, including those above and amending the smtp server to the settings for my provider, but all to no avail.
    It is thoroughly frustrating, as I cannot send emails unless I have wifi access.
    Any further suggestions would be very welcome.

  • Bug report: ube_ipa: internal error when compiling with -xO5

    When compiling imlib2-1.1.2, one source file causes compilation to fail with the following error message:
    ube_ipa: internal error
    cc: ube_ipa failed for loader_tiff.c
    The command which fails is (probably wrapped):
    cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I. -I.. -I../src -I../loaders -I../libltdl -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/openwin/include -I/opt/csw/include -I/opt/csw/include -I/opt/csw/include -g -fast -xarch=386 -xstrconst -v -xildoff -xO5 -c loader_tiff.c -KPIC -DPIC -o .libs/loader_tiff.o
    Changing -xO5 to -xO4 works around the problem. The source file in question is imlib2-1.1.2/loaders/loader_tiff.c
    Patch 112756-10 has been applied, and doesn't correct the problem. GCC doesn't have any problem compiling the file.
    A quick note to any Sun employees reading this: it took me 45 minutes to find somewhere to submit this bug report. Searching sun.com for "submit bug report" turned up many forum postings where people asked "Where do I submit bug reports?", a bug report form for Sun One Java Studio, and not much else. It might be in your interest to make submitting bugs easier.

    Internal errors, such as the one you encountered, are generally considered compiler bugs. They indicate that the compiler reached an unexpected state and therefore bailed out. I opened bug 20703141: internal error: pic_relocs(): hh reltype? to investigate. I see the same error message emitted by the current Studio development release; I will update this thread if I find a work-around.

  • Third Party Sales Order not generating a PR when going on Credit Block

    Hello Generous People,
    We are having a problem with creating 3rd Party Sales Orders and generating a PR when the customer goes on a credit block and the is subsequently released from there credit block. The system enters a loop of creating a PR and then deleting it once the sales order saved and then place the sales order back on credit block. The Credit Management system has been setup to cause a block for certain fields.
    We have looked at the OSS Notes that are recommended by SAP, for example 100861, 396791, etc. However we are implementing SAP ECC 6.0 with all the latest updates. I was looking at OVB5 and VOFM, but I have had no luck with these as well.
    Thank you in advance for your help or advice.

    Hi Jurijs,
    Have you checked LVKMPFZ1, LVKMPFZ2 & LVKMPFZ3 to find out if there is any code for credit checks and blocks in these user exits.  Also please check FORM USEREXIT_AVAIL_CHECK_CREDIT under include MV45AFZF to find out if there is any code which is entered to not allow the availability check for blocked sales orders and therefore stopping the transfer of requirements inthe form of PR generation.
    Don't worry about going into ECC 6.0. Once you will start the upgrade process on ECC 6.0, you will come to know a set of transaction codes which you can run into the system to find out the non standard ABAP code changes which exists in your SAP landscape.

  • Kaffeine embedded crash fixed when compiled with libxcb support?

    From kaffeine website:
    Embedded Kaffeine crash fixed.
    This long standing bug is now fixed in current svn ...
    In order to make it possible, we have ported Kaffeine and xine to xcb (a thread-safe replacement for xlib).
    You can give it a try right now:
    1) install libxcb=>1.0
    2) install current xine-lib cvs (it contains xcb based video output plugins: xshm and xv)
    2) install current Kaffeine svn
    Notes
    a) Both xine-lib and Kaffeine have to be compiled with xcb support (autodetected, check configure results).
    b) Kaffeine will still work with xlib based video out plugins if compiled without xcb (but then, no fix!)
    From 0.8.4 changelog:
    * xine-part: support for xcb. Requires libxcb 1.0 and xine-lib 1.1.5. Fixes several issues.
    Any reason not to incorporate this? If it lives up to it's promises It could mean kde users only need ONE media player :-)  (I have 2 installed just to get DVD menus and embedding in konqueror without crashing)
    Any thoughts?
    Cheers,
    Steve.

    I felt that the laptop was possibly overheating and that is why I started down the road to call "customer support", thinking that a fan went out or there was damage to hardware due to it over heating.  And that road got me no where in a fast manner, and two "techs" telling me it was a software related issue and that I needed to reformat the laptop (twice) and re-install to factory settings.  Even when I did this, it still had the issue and they again told me that it was software related when there was no software on the computer except for Windows 7.  The only thing that customer support helped me with is the knowledge of next time I buy a laptop, but Dell or any other laptop besides a Toshiba.  That is too bad.
    Anyway, I tried to continue on with my thinking of a possible over heating issue, so I blew air into the vents and fins of the laptop.  A lot of dust came out.  I kept blowing air into the vents until no more dust came.
    My wife had to re-install everything again to her laptop after I got the major items re-installed.  She has been running it for the last day or so with no issues.  We hope that this was the issue.  I know she enjoys the laptop when it was running well.
    I guess we will see how it goes.

    Thanks,
    Jim

    Ack! Please ignore my earlier posting. I did not play close enough attention to details in your post. I apologize for the confusion. Let me start over:
    The Studio Express release you have contains a newer version of the C++ runtime library libCstd.so.1 than is available yet in Solaris patches. We bump the internal version number when we add new interfaces. The internal version number of the Studio Express library is SUNW_1.3.2. The version of the latest release Solaris patch is SUNW_1.3.1.
    Some new string class operator functions are in version SUNW_1.3.2. I think these are also defined as inline functions in the compiler headers. When you compile with -g, inlining is disabled, and you create a dependency on library version SUNW_1.3.2. (Compiling with -g0 allows function inlining, and might resolve your problem, but read on.)
    We have not released a libCstd.so.1 with internal version SUNW_1.4.2, so I don't understand how that version number could appear in an error message. Did you really see that version, or is it a transcription error? For now, let's assume it is a transcription error.
    When you compile and link with CC, the program gets a runpath pointing into the compiler installation area. At program run time, the loader looks for libraries in directories listed in the runpath, with /lib and /usr/lib as last resort. The "ldd" command reports what the runtime loader will do regarding dependent libraries.
    If the compiler is installed in /opt, a 32-bit program gets a runpath that includes /opt/SUNWspro/lib. In that directory in Sun Studio Express is a symbolic link that points to ../prod/usr/lib/libCstd.so.1, the library with version SUNW_1.3.2.
    If you try this:
    % /opt/SUNWspro/bin/CC hello.cc
    % ldd a.out
    you should see, among other things,
    libCrun.so.1 => /opt/SUNWspro/lib/libCstd.so.1
    (Depending on the OS version, you might see
    libCrun.so.1 => /opt/SUNWspro/prod/usr/lib/libCstd.so.1 instead.)
    But if ldd can't resolve the library, you probably have a corrupted Sun Studio Express installation. In that case, uninstall it, and reinstall from a fresh download.
    If you run the program on a different computer where Sun Studio Express is not installed, the loader won't be able to find the right library version, and you will get "not found" results. I addressed this issue in another thread:

  • Bad performance of PARI when compiling with GCC for SPARC 4.2.0

    Hi,
    I've compiled pari (2.3.3) with gcc 4.2.0 and with an old gcc 3.3.2 on a Sun Fire V240 and Solaris 10.
    The performance of pari compiled with gcc 4.2.0 is terrible. I've tried it with '-O3 -fast' and without this flags with the same result.
    First compiled with gcc 3.3.2 without any special CFLAGS and run make bench:
    * Testing objets for gp-sta..TIME=4 for gp-dyn..TIME=4
    * Testing analyz for gp-sta..TIME=82 for gp-dyn..TIME=80
    * Testing number for gp-sta..TIME=63 for gp-dyn..TIME=62
    * Testing polyser for gp-sta..TIME=19 for gp-dyn..TIME=19
    * Testing linear for gp-sta..TIME=30 for gp-dyn..TIME=29
    * Testing elliptic for gp-sta..TIME=50 for gp-dyn..TIME=51
    * Testing sumiter for gp-sta..TIME=45 for gp-dyn..TIME=47
    * Testing graph for gp-sta..TIME=25 for gp-dyn..TIME=25
    * Testing program for gp-sta..TIME=94 for gp-dyn..TIME=94
    * Testing trans for gp-sta..TIME=228 for gp-dyn..TIME=225
    * Testing nfields for gp-sta..TIME=434 for gp-dyn..TIME=433
    +++ Total bench for gp-sta is 726
    +++ Total bench for gp-dyn is 722
    Then compiled with gcc 4.2.0 again without any special flags and run make bench:
    * Testing objets for gp-sta..TIME=4 for gp-dyn..TIME=4
    * Testing analyz for gp-sta..TIME=82 for gp-dyn..TIME=83
    * Testing number for gp-sta..TIME=62 for gp-dyn..TIME=65
    * Testing polyser for gp-sta..TIME=19 for gp-dyn..TIME=19
    * Testing linear for gp-sta..BUG [1686975] for gp-dyn..BUG [1608146]
    * Testing elliptic for gp-sta..TIME=50 for gp-dyn..TIME=52
    * Testing sumiter for gp-sta..TIME=51 for gp-dyn..TIME=50
    * Testing graph for gp-sta..TIME=28 for gp-dyn..TIME=28
    * Testing program for gp-sta..TIME=98 for gp-dyn..TIME=97
    * Testing trans for gp-sta..BUG [613000] for gp-dyn..BUG [606558]

    Do anybody know this problem or can tell me what the problem could be?
    Thanks!!
    Rainer W.

    Here are the compiler options I used to compile it with gcc4.
    C compiler is /usr/local/gcc4/gcc/bin/gcc -O3 -Wall -fno-strict-aliasing -fomit-frame-pointer
    Executable linker is /usr/local/gcc4/gcc/bin/gcc -O3 -Wall -fno-strict-aliasing -fomit-frame-pointer
    Dynamic Lib linker is /usr/local/gcc4/gcc/bin/gcc -shared -mimpure-text $(CFLAGS) $(DLCFLAGS) -Wl,-G,-h,$(LIBPARI_SONAME)
    If I use the -fast option I get the same result may be a little bit worse.
    Here are some compilation lines:

  • Runtime exception with ADG when compiled with ANT

    Hi,
    We are using Advanced Data Grid in our project and it compiles and produces a correct SWF file when compiled using the licensed FlexBuilder. This work fine for the development environment, but for the testing and staging environments we use ANT to automate the build process of both Flex and Java components.
    When the swf is built using ANT, we get a runtime exception when the page containing the ADG is accessed in web browser. The exception is
    TypeError: Error #1007: Instantiation attempted on a non-constructor.

    Can you please suggest me how to fix this error?
    Thanks in advance.

    On forums of slackware there was a reference towards the program "free" which is being executed from /usr/bin/free whereas the program on slcakware resides in /bin/free or vice versa. Creating a ymlink should solve the problem. Dunnow (yet) if that works

  • Error LNK2019 occurred when compiling with CS6 on Win

    When i try to use GetMousePosition() in my code, i got bellowing link error when compiling in VS2010.
    Is there any library i can include to resolve it?
    error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol __imp__GetCursorPos@4 referenced in function "struct tagPOINT __cdecl GetMousePosition(void)" (?GetMousePosition@@YA?AUtagPOINT@@XZ)
    Thanks,
    Aidy

    Steps to reproduce the problem:
    1. New an empty project with name "test" using DollyXs on Windows;
    2. In testActionComponent.cpp, modify DoAbout() to be
    void testActionComponent::DoAbout()
              GetMousePosition();
    3. Build the project.
    Then, we will get bellowing link error
    1>     Creating library ..\..\..\build\win\objD\test/test.lib and object ..\..\..\build\win\objD\test/test.exp
    1>testActionComponent.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol __imp__GetCursorPos@4 referenced in function "private: void __thiscall testActionComponent::DoAbout(void)" (?DoAbout@testActionComponent@@AAEXXZ)
    1>..\debug_cs6\test.sdk.pln : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals
    There is no such link error in the sdk sample BasicDragDrop.sdk.vcxproj, but i cannot find any special setting in its project property.
    Any suggestion will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Aidy
