Flicker/flash in top and bottom when adding the "Gaussian" effect to clip.

I get a flicker/flash on the top and bottom of one of the clip where I have added the "Gaussian" effect. A "white - black - white - black" flash. This happened just to one of many clips with the same gaussian effect.
It seems as if the flash happens on every other frame.
Anyone know how to fix this?
I tried taking screenshots of the clip/flash - but it did not show that well in the picture..

Couple of ways to go this. Simple way make the clip a compound clip and apply the letterbox to the compound. Open the compound and do the straightening and rotating inside the compound.

  • Blur top and bottom when exporting to Mpeg2

Hey guys, will be glad if you could help me.
I shot some video at 1080P I've edited it on 720 P project (resuzed the shots) and now I want to export to Mpeg 2.
As far as i know, if I'm exporting 16:9 to 4:3 the image will be stretched, cropped or fit to scale and will be with black bars at the top and bottom.
After I've exported from Premiere I got the video with blurred top and bottom.
I added captures of one frame and my export settings. Glad if someone could help me (hope im not doing things wrong).
** sorry for any English mistakes.

    I stand corrected!
OK I checked last night when I go home from work...
Still getting blur on top & bottom but only when in stop...  With 6.0.3 (Same as 6.0.4)
My Quadro FX 4800 is using Nvidia 320.49
Same senerio 16x9 footage brought into 4x3 session
The work around I used for both 6.0.4  and 6.0.3 was to modify the aspect ratio to 16x9 which
    worked in both versions.

  • Centering flash movie top and bottom in dreamweaver?

Hi all, I'm a novice user of dreamweaver.
I've placed a flash movie in dreamweaver and centered it left
and right but how can I center it top and bottom so it
    floats?

Not too sure what you mean exactly by "so it floats." But
    I'll hazard a
guess that you want your video to appear inside a
    semi-transparent lightbox
that appears to float over the page content beneath it. If
    so, have a look
    at FloatBox.

  • Get rid of the white space at the top and bottom of the report when Printing as PDF document

    Hello All,
I have a wider tablix report which is 29 inches wide. I have given the paper size as custom and width as 29 and height as 11 in report properties.I have deployed it and saved it as PDF document. When I print preview the report I am using the paper size as
tabloid (17 by 11) and selected the orientation as Landscape. I am getting the full report without any stripping but I am getting some extra space at the top and bottom when I print the report. Can anyone help me how to get rid of this space? . I checked the
margins for the report and it was 0in. Please help.
    Thank You

    Hi There
In Reporting Services (SSRS 2008), there are white spaces preserved in the report body by default. When the white space extends the body size beyond the width of the report, blank pages will be generated. To avoid the issue, you can set the “ConsumeContainerWhiteSpace”
property of the report to “True”.
Please try to adjust your margins (top + side) and hopefully this problem will get resolved
Body Width <= Page Width - (Left Margin + Right Margin)
    Horizontal usable area:
    X = Page.Width - (Left Margin + Right Margin + Column Spacing)
    Vertical usable area:
    Y = Page.Height - (Top Margin + Bottom Margin + Header Height + Footer Height)
Body Width <= Page Width - (Left Margin + Right Margin)
    Horizontal usable area:
    X = Page.Width - (Left Margin + Right Margin + Column Spacing)
    Vertical usable area:

  • Adding a top and bottom line in tables

If some one could point me at the instructions I am happy to look it up!
I would like a table of just row strokes inlcluding top and bottom of the table and with alternate strokes weights
I have achieved this before, but for the life of me cannot remember how, if someone could help please?

Without looking at the design you have in mind, I think you will need to create a Cell Style and include that Cell Style in a Table Style. Here is what might work for you:
    1) Create a Cell Style. In the Cell Style Options dialog, under Strokes and Fills, click on the top and bottom (horizontal) lines of the Cell Stroke to exclude them from being considered. Set the Weight of the left & right vertical line to 0.
    2) Create a Table Style and in its Options dialog, select the Cell Style you created above for Body Rows. If you want a separate color/weight for the Top and Bottom Borders of the Table, set it under Table Setup. Then set the Alternating Pattern (Every other row) for Row Strokes.
Then apply the Table Style to the table.
Here is what I came up with while trying this out:
    Hope this helps.

  • Fixed/Locked Top and Bottom Banner

I am wondering if there is a way to keep my top and bottom
banners in the same place with a window in the middle that would
scroll. (Basically making sure that the top and bottom are in the
same position for every page, but the middle section being able to
scroll when there is more content.) I would really appreciate any
    insight... Thanks!

The only reliable way would be to use frames.
BUT - you will pay a heavy price for this choice. The
    decision to use or
not use frames should be based on a) your site's needs, and
    b) your
willingness to accept the potential problems that frames can
    create for you
as developer and maintainer of the site and for your visitors
    as casual
    users of the site.
I am down on frames because I believe that they create many
    more problems
    than they solve.
Judging from the posts here, and the kinds of problems that
    are described,
the kind of person most likely to elect to use frames is also
    the kind of
person most likely ill-prepared fo solve the ensuing problems
    when they
arise. If you feel a) that you understand the problems and b)
    that you are
prepared to handle them when they occur, and c) that you have
    a need to use
frames, then by all means use them.
As far as I know, the most comprehensive discussions of
    frames and their
potential problems can be found on these two links -

  • IWeb not publishing edited "top" and "bottom" page backgrounds

I have edited the page background for the "Layered Paper" theme to fit an 800px space (up from 700px). The backgrounds display correctly in iWeb, but in Safari, only the middle image is the correct 800px format. The top and bottom both display the old 700px image as a "tile."
I have emptied Safari's cache and deleted the original 700px images from the iWeb theme folder. This also occurs under IE8. Any ideas?
    site: carl.stoneh.am

Yes. I edited those files directly (after backing up the originals in case something went wrong).
I did discover a tutorial online that suggested just dragging the "new" header footer into iWeb, so I tried that out. If you visit the "CV" age, you'll see that the header works just fine (I left the footer alone for testing purposes). I guess that will do as a stopgap, but I'm still curious as to why iWeb used the correct image file in the program but published it to MobileMe using a 700px width. Is this perhaps something that's just hard-coded in the program, and changing the width of a page doesn't "correctly" publish larger images for the header and footer (unless they're just gradients, etc)?

  • I have all my clips with an extra edge around the top and bottom I want to remove

As you can see from the image below, I have all my source videos recorded at 1024x820.  I want to, using Premiere clip this to 1024x768 removing some from both the top and bottom.  I'll have hundreds of clips of this shape (1024x820) I will import into premiere.  Is there some kind of transformation I can do that will clip the top and bottom so that my exports come out at 1024x768?  I don't want to shrink the full picture, I want to clip the top and bottom edges cleanly.

All I am doing is the following:
import my mov file that is 1024 x 820
    create a sequence that is 1024 x 768
    export the sequence
I made a video showing the steps (very boring, sorry).

  • Need to get rid of lines top and bottom

The video material I'm cutting has a very annoying, eye-catching top and bottom edge. The topmost and lowest lines kind of wobble or jitter. I need to get rid of this.
Do I 'zoom in' / expand the picture, or is there a crop tool I haven't come across?
    Any help much appreciated.

Right-click(Control+click) the clip with the settings and chose copy.
Select all of your clips that you want to apply the same settings to and right- click and chose paste attributes. A window will open and check the motion box and then click apply(Ok?)
Now all of the selected clips will have the motion setting that you copied. This is also a good way for copying video and audio filters and any other settings in the motion tab.

  • MimeMessage top and bottom boundaries

I am writing a MimeMessage to an outputstream using the writeTo method. The outputstream is being sent over an HTTP connection. I am building a RosettaNet webservice. The problem is, my Mime messages look different than my trading partners. Their messages have a matching boundary on the top and bottom. Examples pasted below. The Boundaries marked in bold are the lines I want, but can't seem to get it to happen. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry if that wasn't clear. I am using JavaMail. I add BodyPart objects of type Application/XML to a MimeMultipart object. I set the multipart on the MimeMessage. Then I use use MimeMessage.writeTo(outputstream) method to send the message to my trading partner. Their system is rejecting the message. The theory at the moment is because the message does not have these top and bottom boundaries. The weird thing is, my code can read the messages just fine. I'm using JavaMail to read it aswell. Maybe there is a property I need to set? Or maybe since I'm not sending it over SMTP, do I need to subclass Transport?

  • Why when almost completed editing a video on imovie have half the clips developed narrow screen aspect exhibiting grey band top and bottom of each clip?

Why when almost completed editing a video on imovie, have almost half the clips developed narrow aspect - the rest is still widescreen? The faulty clips have developed grey bands top and bottom.

    Tried to duplicate the situation.
Most probably I got it wrong but when adding in
    • a photo in 16x9 then I get a black letterbox-ing
    • an 16x9 video taken from a small compact digital Camera and in wrong frames per seconds (30fps) in a PAL (25fps) project - I get this gray banding too. Strange
May be it has to do with matching different fps in same project - never liked to do that as quality usually suffers and it goes jumpy.
I use JES_Deinterlacer to get all my material into the same standard first - not letting iMovie or iDVD do that conversion as that gives ME BAD RESULT.
Someone with clear knowledge on this - Please feel free to fill in and correct.

  • Getting flicker at top and bottom of screen - should I crop or zoom in?

Hi all, this is related to another thread I have here but I wanted to ask specifically...what is better...cropping or zooming?
I have just finished editing a long production in 16:9 and have been monitoring the edit process on a 16:9 television.
When the finished product is watched on the 16:9 tv, there is no flicker evidentat either the top or bottom of the screen.
When watched on a 4:3 television in letterbox mode, naturally the top and bottom edges are exposed and this presents some flicker at the top and bottom extremeties on some shots.
I can get rid of this flicker on the edges without re-editing time-consuming scenes by either zooming in a fraction or cropping the finished video top and bottom by a factor of 4 using the motion settings.
I have monitored the cropping method on the 16:9 screen and you cannot see it until it is cropped by a factor of 5, and of course on the 4:3 screen the cropping method will only mean there is slightly more black top and bottom on the letterbox effect.
I guess zooming in to get rid of the flickering will mean the quality of the picture degrades a little so cropping would probably be best.
Is this your opinion as weel?
    Thanks in advance.

I guess zooming in to get rid of the flickering will mean the quality of the picture degrades a little...
Yes, any picture re-sizing degrades the original.
... so cropping would probably be best.
Yes. To avoid losing anything, you could always only crop the shots from the camera that has the flicker (might take a while).

  • Ghosting from top and bottom of the workspace edges when moving around workspace?

When I move around the workspace dark grey slightly transparent bars appear to be ghosting from the top and bottom of the workspace. If I move so they go off screen they disappear but more are made as I move around. Tried restarting Illustrator and my laptop, I have the newest version of Illustrator CC.
*Update - It appears to only happen in my one file, when an image I'm drawing over is put on a lower opacity. If I have it opaque there's no weird line ghosting, but as soon as I make it more transparent the lines start appearing.
