Flickering after export

Hi, i have some flickering troubles after export in several videos i made.
These videos are quite easy, short and with a few effects. Generally they are made with ten video tracks and only 1 audio track.
These flickerings appear randomly in the video output, despite the preview was great. Normally the flickering appears not in the transitions between two video tracks, but inside one.
Actually i found a "solution": i cancel the video track with the flickering from the timeline and replace it from the video list. After this move, the export often doesn't go wrong, but this seems more a matter of luck than a final solution.
So, can anyone help me?
Here i report some data about my work.
I have a small videocamera that records in fullhd at 25fps and i use premiere cs4.
Input: avchd 1080p25, progressive
Output: h.264 - ntsc - 1280x720 - 25fps - progressive - vbr 1 - bitrate 6 mbps - max 9 - high profile - level 4,1
Unfortunately i haven't a high performance pc: i5-3450, 3.1 ghz; ram 8 gb; nvidia geforce gt 640, 2 gb.
Thanks, Simon!

Unfortunately I can't change the video source to 25 fps, the reason for this is unknown, I spoke to a customer support person and he told me that it automatically detects the video signal detection which is 1920x1080 being displayed at 30 fps.
This is coming from my xbox which is PAL, and I am playing a PAL game, all very confusing.

  • Video flickering after export

    Hey Guys,
I've been using Adobe Premiere Pro ever since CS4 came out and this is the first time that I've came across this particular issue. Up until last week I was still using CS6 on my 2011 Macbook Pro. Three days ago I went and purchased a brand new 2014 15 inch Macbook Pro and downloaded the Premiere Pro CC Trial on it. I was loving everything about CC until I exported my first project. Half of the clips were flickering so I matched each flickering clip to the timeline and noticed that the only clips that were flickering were the clips that I had nested.
This is what I'm experiencing :
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzfOA2WJFXU&feature=youtu.be
I've tried exporting in different formats, but I really want to export in .h264
This may sound stupid, but is it because it's the trial version?
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I talked with customer support. They suggested that the bug is a result of how I encoded the video in VirtualDub. I used Xvid MPEG-4 codec, and the representative suggested I use a format that is generally more compatible such as H.264 or QuickTime Animation (RLE).
I redid the the conversion with VirtualDub, this time using x264. Unfortunately, this simply introduced new issues when I tried to edit the video.
Interestingly enough, the issue shows up in the preview this time.
I don't know why there are still issues. I would try QuickTime Animation, but I don't know of any free software that would let me perform a conversion. Does anyone know why this happens? If not, does anyone know what software I could try to transcode the video?

  • Really annoying flickering after export!

    Hey Guys.
I've recently been trying to make videos using iMovie. I have a HDPVR capture card which enables me to record footage of my xbox 360. I use a program called HDPVRCAPTURE to record my footage.
The problem lies with iMovie, my clips are fine when I import them into the program, they are also fine when I edit them in the preview window. As soon as i've finished exporting the video the problems start to occur, there is horrendous flickering which is not unnoticeable, it is really annoying.
    How can I fix this?
Also I have tried numerous ways of exporting by using quicktime, and also by sharing straight to youtube.

Unfortunately I can't change the video source to 25 fps, the reason for this is unknown, I spoke to a customer support person and he told me that it automatically detects the video signal detection which is 1920x1080 being displayed at 30 fps.

  • After exporting in Premier Pro CS6 my text flickers in the video

After exporting in Premier Pro CS6 my text flickers in the video, how do I fix it?

I have the exact same problem, but I'm actually using CC. I don't have an option for "match source high bitrate." Is anyone responding to forum questions out there?

  • IMovie creates weird frame flickering on export only -- please help!!

Hello iMovie experts.. Need your advise!!!!!
I've been using iMovie 11 for some time now... Had no issues... All of a sudden a few days ago,
after I already burnt a disk, i noticed blinking in the clip where I had a 'Dream' video effect...
I opened the exported mov file, and the blinking is there.... So I went to the project, no issues, - the clip that
has the effect plays good, no 'flickering'..
As soon as I export it -- on the clip where i apply a video effect, every second or so I see a black frame, or the blurred frame, or a frame as if the
effect wasn’t applied to that clip.......
I tried exporting via almost everything... Export Movie, Export to QuickTime (no compressions, mp4, h264, etc), ... same thing
is happening over and over...  I tried removing the Preference file from User\Library\Preferences file, but it did not help..
I also tried duplicating a project. What happened was, the problem did not go away, but on top of that, it created about
10 minutes of black video towards the end of the movie...... ?!?!?!?!?!
I also removed Flip4Mac and Divx components... no luck...
Can anyone suggest anything please??  thanks!
    Running latest Snow Leopard update...

You know, i optimized a video once, and it was very jerky when it played at about 40% speed (slow-motion), vs. when I import non-optimized..
I dont want to jump the gun yet, as the below doesnt really make sense, at least to me, BUT......
What I noticed is that the flickering of the clips with applied effects only happens when there an opening
transition in the very beginning of the project..  I placed a "fade-in" transition in the beginning so that the video  fades in as it starts....  As soon as i removed it.. it exports fine, no flickering, no nothing, back to normal..
.... I also tried a few new small projects with and without the transition in the beginning and I would get the same pattern after export:  with a trans in the beginning of the clip with video effect, -- it would blink after being exported.. As soon as beginning trans removed -- back to normal..    I know... i doesnt make sense...
I wonder if you can produce this:
[fade in trans] [normal clip] [clip with Dream effect] [some other trans] [clip with some other Effect]
    and
[normal clip] [clip with Dream effect] [some other trans] [clip with some other Effect]
Thoughts??  I am scratching my head now!

  • Flickering after adding Titles

Hi, I'm using Premiere Pro cs6 with mainly 1080i footage on iMac 10.8osx.
If I add a title the resulting file flickers on playback after exporting it.
This happens regardless of sequence settings, export settings and transcoding, (I've done many tests).
I have noticed the flicker disappears when viewed on a crappy Windows monitor but I guess that's not too surprising.
Would be grateful for any thoughts on this.
    Cheers.

    Welcome to the forum.
Also, some fonts can cause "flicker," such as ultra-thin fonts, or serif-fonts. Per Jeff's request above for a screen-cap, we should be able to see if you have chosen a font with potential problems in it, but you might also want to state the font used.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Help with exporting. Video looks horrible after export, but great when in premiere pro

Hey guys, looking for some advice on exporting.
When I finish a video, the color and everything looks great while in premiere pro, but after exporting it, the color ends up looking dull and the whole video looks blurry.  I'm filming with a canon vixia hf200 at 60i. It imports as a AVCHD file, I deinterlace it, and then export at the Vimeo HD settings. What can be causing the video to look horrible after exporting? What settings should I be exporting under? Any help would be appreciated!

It looks like you're coming up against some of the colorspace handling issues that the Premiere pipeline has.
Since your source is 60i AVCHD it's HD and thus rec709 colorspace. If it gets encoded with the standard rec601 colorspace (SD sizes are this) then all the colors get crushed. Look for a "709" and "601" radio button in your export settings. If it's not there you're out of luck.
The "blurry" is probably a poor quality de-interlacer. If Vimeo permits interlaced vs progressive do that instead. it's always cleaner to stay in the same video format all the way through.
    TECHNICAL ASIDE:
rec709 is a triangle of possible colors that can be expressed by mixing of ratios of 3 emitters (the R G B corners of the triangle). (they are the RGB phosphors of a CRT and now LCD pixel elements)
rec709 is a bigger triangle than rec601 so it's capable of more colors. but if you accidently map that triangle's corners to the coordinates of rec601 it gets crushed.
In photography the "sRGB" uses the rec709 triangle. A bigger triangle that that is "Adobe RGB". So if you work in Adobe RGB and export to sRGB without conversion the colors get crushed because sRGB in inside the triangle of "Adobe RGB".

  • In SSRS , after exporting report in excel, wrap text property for cell and freeze column for SSRS table header not working in Excel

I am working no one SSRS my table headers are freeze cangrow property is false and my report is working perfect while rendering data on RDL and i want same report after exporting in Excel also , i want my table header to be freeze and wrap text property
to work after exporting in my report in excel but its not working ,is there any solution ? any patch ? any other XML code for different rendering ?

    Hi Amol,
According to your description, you find the wrap text property and fix column is not working after exporting into Excel. Right?
In Reporting Services, when exporting to excel file, it has limitation for textbox.
Text boxes are rendered within one Excel cell. Font size, font face, decoration, and font style are the only formatting that is supported on individual text within an Excel cell.
Excel adds a default padding of approximately 3.75 points to the left and right sides of cells. If a text box’s padding settings are less than 3.75 points and is just barely wide enough to accommodate the text, the text may wrap in Excel.
In this scenario, it supposed to be wrap text unless you merge cells. If cells are merged, word-wrap does not work correctly. If any merged cells exist on a row where a text box is rendered with the
AutoSize property, autosize will not work. For the Fix Data Property, it can't be working in Excel. These are features when exporting to Excel. We can't change it because it's by design.

  • Hyperion IR 9.3.1 - Issue in printing the report after exporting it to pdf

    Hi All,
I am facing a problem in printing the report after exporting it to pdf format using Hyperion Interactive Reporting 9.3.1. I have set page size of report section to 11X17 inch landscape. Now I am exporting this report section to pdf. Report gets exported to pdf with size 11X17 inch landsacpe. But when I am trying to print this pdf it is shrinking the documnet size to A4 size paper and printing it rather it should print it on 11X17 inch paper size. Please suggest if there is fix available for this issue.
    Thanks
    Ujjawal

"File > Print Setup > Paper > Size" on PDF.
I think this issue is only to do with the printer and not IR.
I think the question now is "Can your printer print 11X17 pages or not".

  • How can I eliminate a green rectangle showing up after exporting?

After exporting in FCP and viewing in Quicktime, a green rectangle on the right side of the Quicktime window is showing up for about 1 second at a point where there is black between two clips with fade in/out transitions. There is a slug there which I thought might have something to do with it. I tried deleting the slug but the green rectangle persists. Can anybody help me eliminate this green monster?

Nick-- Thanks so much for your reply.
    CODEC is H.264.
In Sequence Settings I have the Quicktime Video Settings Compressor set to HDV 1080i60.
After rendering and saving the sequence, I click
    File >
    Export >
Using Quicktime Conversion. After window opens to save the file
    Format: Quicktime Movie
    Use: Most Recent Settings
    I click "Options" >
Settings, I choose H.264, then click OK (the green rectangle appears regardless of quality setting (I tried 2 kinds: Best and Hight), (also, encoding doesn't matter, either. I tried Multi-pass and Single-Pass)
Click Size, choose NTSC 720 x 480 16:9 (using this just for a smaller file to FTP to show progress)
I then uncheck Sound and Prepare for Internet Streaming (no soundtrack on this yet), then click OK
    I then click Save.
As I mentioned I tried it several different ways and each time the green rectangle shows up. I am nearing the end of this project and this is really becoming a problem. I hope you can help eliminate it. If you would like to see it I can email a small few second clip that will show it.
    Thank you again--

  • Quality not the same after exporting movie made up of jpg images

Basically I made an animation sequence on Autodesk Maya and rendered the sequence as 2000 jpeg images each representing 1 frame, put it in one folder and on Adobe Premiere imported and dragged the folder into the timeline to make a moving image so in other words my video is made up of hundreds of jpg images.
Now on the editor it all looks HD and fine but when I export it via file > export > media, in order to match the sequence to the screen I must click on 'match sequence settings' which will snap the whole movie into the window rather than have it widescreen and once I do this I can't modify anything else such as codec, etc (codec is automatically set as MPEG -Frame and the output automatically is mpeg), is this normal? Why is it mpeg ajnd not avi...
So once I export the video with these settings (image uploaded) the quality is ok but not as good as what I see in the Premeire editor, why? What can I do to improve the quality?
On the other hand if I don't click on match to sequence settings and personally customise the paramaters such as avi, I use max settings for many things but after exporting my picture quality actually goes worse compared tomatch to sequence settings? (which has less parameters)
Why is this happening, all my jpeg images are high quality 720p and I should just be able to export it as normal...
I am trying to make a cut-scene to get into Unity so the codec is important as well.
How can I make my video best quality as possible being mpeg or avi? What settings do I need to play with?

Maybe I misunderstood, but did you actually put 2000 still images on the timeline? If so, there is another way. Go to Import and find your folder, and select only the first still in your sequence, then check the box at the bottom of the import windows that says "Numbered Sequence" or something like that. This will import the stills as a "video" clip.
Regarding Export, don't check Frame Blending or Max Render, the first being for a change of frame rate and the latter being useful for a downscale of the frame size. You are doing neither.
Also, never use "Match Sequence Settings". Leave that unchecked, and then choose whatever format YOU want to use for the export, whether .avi or H.264 or whatever.

  • MapiSendMail doesn't work after Exporting a report in CR2008 (Outlook2003)

    Hi,
This one sounds crazy but I'm hoping this might make sense to someone..
We're using CR2008 SP4. In our WinForms app, we use the MapiSendMail function to open up a new email message for the user to send.
This issue only occurs when Outlook 2003 is installed (outlook 2007 and 2010 work fine).
If, in my application, I call MapiSendMail to send an email before exporting a Crystal Report to PDF .i.e oReport:Export() then both the export and sending mail work fine as long as I'm logged into my app.
If, however, in my application, I export a Crystal Report to PDF .i.e oReport:Export() and then I try to call MapiSendMail I get a generic MAPI erorr(2). I have to log out of my app to be able to open up a new mail message.
Is there anything in the Report:Export method that some affects default MAPI behavior?
    Thanks,
    Fergus

    Hi Don,
Many thanks for getting back to me. I've found a workaround without having fully understood the cause. I'll put it all down here in case some others have similar problems.
I was already closing and disposing the report object in my code as soon as the export completed.
The Mapi error 2 is  MAPI_E_FAILURE  which translates to "One or more unspecified errors occurred while sending the message. It is not known if the message was sent."
I could not find any any "Access Denied"s using ProcMon.
I used the Modules.exe to determine which dlls were loaded when the MapiSendMail worked correctly and compared that to when it didn't work. One dll that poped out was "outex.dll".
I searched for that in ProcMon and (in the case where MapiSendMail didn't work) and found that it was looking for this outex.dll but couldn't find it. It's located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 but it never looked there.
    So:
Calling MapiSendMail before exporting a report - outex.dll can be found
Calling MapiSendMail after exporting a report - outex.dll can't be found
To get around this I added C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 to the path on the machine(s) in question and it worked every time.
    Thanks again for your help.
    Fergus
p.s. After finding this workaround I found an almost identical problem but with Oracle instead of Crystal (How to serach text via TREX with cryptograph attachment in SAP system?).
