Flickering and control of 3D content in a Word document

When I embed a 3D object (U3D or RH file) inside a Word document and I assign a 2D poster image to it, once I have activated the 3D content I cannot exit from the 3D mode and revert back to the 2D poster image. When I scroll by this zone in the page flickers between the 3D image and the 2D poster image. Any way to fix this?
Also: is there any way to access the same 3D controls (such as selecting subparts) for a model inside a Word doc as when it's part of a PDF file?
BTW: the file translates well to PDF with its 3D content intact. Thanks. Iam

The viewer in MS Office apps is limited. You cannot exit out of the 3D mode and the controls are not available. The viewer is not really meant to be much more than a way to get a u3d file into a PDF. Also remember, you will not be able to give someone that MS Word document and have them view the u3d unless they have Acrobat 3D on their machine as well.

My requirements are the Word documents are a template of sorts. The document will be changes prior to its email with some changes. The other twist is that the customer might more that one recipients, and each recipient will have to have a separate
email, with the same content of the word document.
For example: Say I'm doing maintenance. The Word doc might descript that maintenance, in a set format. Once save the script is run to generate 3 to 10 email with separate recipients with the body of the email containing what was in the Word document.

You are trying to copy a link, it is most likely in a different color such as the words "Microsoft's own forums" in his post. In Word highlight the word or words, control click on them, select Hyperlink, then Edit Hyperlink, then delete the link from the top box. It will then have a button asking if you want to "Remove Link", click on it.

Oversized text and lack of pages when placing a word document (.docx)

I'm reposting this, since the last one seemed to get lost in the jumble:
When placing text from a word document (.docx) indesign only gives me three pages for a 118 long document. Also, those pages are blank, and to access the text, I have to delete a few blank lines. When I do this however, the text is grossly oversized. Changing the font does not help, as even on 6 pt, the text is much larger than it should be. Help? I've tweaked import options (although I may not know enough to diagnose the issue I am having), changed the format of the file (.doc, rtf) nothing seems to work.
I am working in Indesign CS5.5 and here is a link to the document I am working with:

The problem is the page size. It's tiny lee than an inch wide and a bit over an inch tall. I'm not sure what you set up, but what you have now seems to have been made much smaller with the Page tool, perhaps.
Set your ruler units in your prefs with nothing open to a system you are comfortable working in (the doc is set up in Picas, now. Do you know how to work in Picas?), then create a new file the size you really want.

I cannot copy and paste from Word 2007 into Firefox (gmail), and I cannot copy and paste from Firefox (URLs) into a word document.

Starting two days ago, I can no longer copy and paste between Firefox and Word 2007. I can copy within each program.

I had similar issues starting about the same time or within the past week. However, I can copy and paste, it just takes considerably longer than it used to before. Copying something from a web page into Word could take up to 30 seconds now on my computer but it shows a busy mouse pointer while it is loading, then clicks/pops when it loads into the Word document, but then actually takes about another 5 to 10 seconds to appear in the Word document. I have no idea why it is delaying now when it did not do it before, but since it is still going into the document I am living with it for now. Are you waiting long enough to see if it appears?

When I "copy" text from a website and "paste" it in an email or Word document, the receiving application locks up.

jscher2000, it was my fault for the disappearance of Private Browsing. In changing the Privacy settings I inadvertantly checked the box that takes Private Browsing away. All is good now except the Copy/Paste issue.

Make sure that you haven't set set the pages as multiple home pages.

I want to copy the contents of an active window i LabView and paste that into a Word document programatically

I am developing an analyse program which produces a large number of results and graphs for each file. These results are presented in different windows one at a time.
It is possible to programmatically generate these windows and print each window before generating the next one. I would like, however, to be able to generate one window, copy it to the clipboard (Alt+Printscreen), (this function is available through knowledgebase), and then paste the contents of the clipboard into a word document. This second step is the problem. By this way a large number of analyses can be done and all the results and graphs will be copied to one Word document
for later study.
Has anyone any idea how to do this?

You can use ActiveX to paste anything that is in the clipboard into a word document, just follow the logical flow, application, documents, add, paragraph, last, range and paste using property nodes.

Here i explain you clearly,
Business Scenario:
Using an aplication we will create word documents-To do this we need to fill all the document properties and click on OK button-After this,Application automatically launches a Word Document with the File name given by itself as per the Configuration and
it will be available for the Editing-After user add content,he has to check in the document in the application in order to replicate the changes made by user to the document-This is the Business process
Here my Document actually resides in the Users Folder-"C:\Users\narayanasamy_r\Documentum\Checkout\" before checkin event happened,once i add content,save,close the document,i will navigate to the document in the application and Do check-in
operation.
Interesting point is that,after i do check-in operation my actual document which was resided in "C:\Users\narayanasamy_r\Documentum\Checkout\" will not be available anymore
So My logic Should be,
1.identify that particular Document from the Folder and add content,save and close(Note:i dont want to open the document from "word.application" control here, as the application itself opens up the Document)

I used the code below to AddControl in Word Document,

I open Word documents on my Mac using Pages and textedit without any problems.
I also have a copy of OpenOffice and it can also open Word documents without any problems.
Could you please provide more details on exactly what you mean when you say you having troubles opening Word documents? What kind of troubles?

Simply let a IE or FireFox window display your Flex chart,
