Flickering frames when cuda enabled

I am working on a mac pro (10.9) using a gtx680. I am experiancing flickering frames in Premiere Pro CC during playback and render when Cuda, or openCL acceleration is enabled. Is there a solution for getting a clean render out of premiere pro and Media encoder that does not require turning the hardware acceleration off?
All Apple, Nvidia, and Creative cloud applications are up to date.

I'm getting this too, inexplicably, and I think it may be a big, whopping bug in the new version -- especially now that Adobe Media Encoder is using GPU acceleration in the October 31st update.

AE CC 2014 Corrupted and Glitched frames when rendering to Quicktime

Ever since upgrading to the newest version of After Effects, I've been getting corrupted and glitched frames when rendering videos with a Quicktime holder. My normal workflow is rendering the video straight out of AE, but it also happens when rendering with Adobe Media Encoder, or even while using the "BG Renderer" script for AE that renders from the terminal. It happens whether I have multiprocessing enabled or not.
The corruption differs depending on what codec I'm using, but in the Cineform Codec it shows up as green frames:
On DNxHD they show up as Red frames (don't have a screencap of this one but you get the idea).
Using the QT Animation Codec they show up as static or distortion:
I have not found a codec that does not become corrupted when encased in the QT holder. Image sequences render out fine, and Cineform with an AVI holder renders out fine.
Even more strangely, I can fix the problem if I link the AE composition to Premiere, then render the QT file out through Premiere itself. The fact that Premiere calls and renders the Comp fine but AE does not, makes me think this is a bug in AE's treatment of Quicktime rather then a driver/system incompatibility on my end. But I'm certainly willing to try any suggestions the community might have for me =]

240 Gt with Cuda enabled and I can't get AME (6.0.1) to encode the file

I have 240 Gt with Cuda enabled and I can't get AME (6.0.1) to encode the file, when I switch to software only it will encode. Any help on how to get to encode in Cuda mode?

That is not a card that any Adobe software will use for CUDA acceleration.

Gamma Shift / Flash Frame when Transcoding to H264

Hi Everyone,
I'm having an issue with gamma shifting when I transcode my ProRes 422 HQ master clips to H.264 for web viewing. The workflow is this:
Final Cut Pro 7.0.3 > Cut with ProRes 422 HQ 1080p 23.98 masters > Export to ProRes 422 HQ 1080p 23.98 self-contained QT
Compressor 3.5.3 > Bring in ProRes 422 HQ master clip > Apply H.264 custom setting > Transcode
Unfortunately the result is that what appeared in the ProRes master as a good looking clip, becomes a terrible looking clip with all sorts of gamma shifting. The strangest thing is that you can see the gamma shifting problem in the PREVIEW window in Compressor on BOTH sides of the comparison divider. So if you playback in Compressor you see it in the ProRes original! But in QuickTime player the ProRes is fine. In FCP it's fine. Even as an MPEG-2 for Blu-Ray (made using Adobe Media Encoder) it's completely fine.
So there is something going on in Compressor, it seems. I just can't quite figure this one out. Has anyone experienced this? I personally have found Compressor 3.5.3 to be very buggy. I get a green band on the outside of the frame when I make MPEG-2 for DVD in this version of Compressor. I never had that problem in the past with 3.0.5.
If anyone has any ideas that would be great. In the mean time, I'm uploading a comparison so that folks can actually see what I'm talking about. I'll post the download link when it's up.

I have compressor 3.5.3 without any of this sort of problem. If you are doing any scaling or retiming, make sure that frame controls are enabled and all relevant options are set to best.
First, do your clips match your sequence settings (in particular frame rate and progressive/interlaced)?
Do you want to send me a short clip exported from fcp with current settings and I'll see if I can reproduce the problem?

I am currently using Adobe After effects CC. When i enable ray-traced 3D render i get error messages.

My System:
CPU: AMD FX 8350
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 750ti
RAM: 8gb
When i enable Raytraced 3D render with GPU acceleration i am presented with these error messages;
After Effects error: Ray-traced 3d: Initial shader compile failed. (5070::12)
After Effects error: Ray-traced 3D: Out of paged mapped memory for ray tracer. Your project may exceed GPU limits. Try closing other applications. Try Updating the CUDA driver. (5070::2)
When i use CPU only for Ray-Traced Render I get this error message:

If you want 3d in After Effects, you can use the (much more powerful) Cinema 4D that comes INCLUDED FOR FREE with After Effects CC and later. More info here: details of CINEMA 4D integration with After Effects

Hi，
So switch a LAN card fix this issue...seems a compatibility issue or maybe some packs or programs you installed recently cause this issue.
Have you manually check the network adapter driver from the PC's manufacture website? sometimes, it will be a time delay before Microsoft push out the driver update.
Check if issue exists in safemode with network, this mode will launch Windows with limited sets of files and drivers.
if you have a restore point, restore the pc to a previous point at which the pc is functioning fine.

I have two email accounts, an aol account and a corp. outlook account. When I enable the WI-FI connection I do not receive aol emails, yet I receive the outlook emails on my iphone4. Any ideas how to correct this?

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

yes it is. you can sign out of itunes account then sign back in. use http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1311 to sign out.

Error when email enabling a document library

Hi - I've checked through other threads re errors when email enabling a doc library, but our scenario is a bit different. We have some custom code that creates sites based on a site template and uses data from a 3rd party system to define the site
name, permissions etc. I don't think that the process for creating the sites is relevant to the issue, but mentioning that anyway to be complete. As part of the site creation workflow, one of the document libraries is email enabled. However, on one specific
site, the document library was not email enabled. When I try and do this manually, I get the following error:

Other tests/observations:
On the problem site, I get the same error when trying to email enable other document libraries
Other sites on the same site collection have been created using the same process/site template, and the appropriate document library was email enabled automatically (sites created both before and subsequent to this problem site)
I have successfully managed to manually email enable a document library on an different existing site
I have manually created a new site using the same site template and successfully managed to manually email enable a document library on that site
So I am fairly certain that it is nothing to do with permissions as other posts relating to this issue have suggested. Does anyone have any ideas on what is happening, how to resolve or further checks I can make? Many thanks

based on my experience, the issue itself may be caused by some triggers,
the permission is one of them only,
to narrow down usually, we try to update credential first, that at some environment may less impact.
example:
based on: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262947.aspx, to configure email, if already configured then skip.
make sure that application pool account that is used for central admin to be the same for central admin, site and the web application.
make sure SQL server and granted DBCreator , Serveradmin, Setupadmin on service account.
remove old database and sync:
C:\program files\common files\Microsoft shared\web server extensions\12\bin>stsadm -o sync -listolddatabases 0
C:\program files\common files\Microsoft shared\web server extensions\12\bin>stsadm -o sync -deleteolddatabases 0
Update farm credentials, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934838
if needed: central administration > Operation > Authentication provider and changed Kerberos to NTLM on central admin site.
Login service account on the SharePoint server and enable IncomingEmail settings on the web application

No. Any attempt to use an unsupported network device with Time Machine will probably result in data loss, even if it seems to be working at first. If you take data protection seriously, you won't try.
Is it possible to get Time Machine to use SMB to make the backups?

I installed windows XP pro on the same mobo and when i enable in the bios Hyper-threading the system reboots after 5 or 15 or 30 min...specially when i use IE or Mozzilla
I update my XP with all avaliable updates and also some other downloaded from web sites fixing the HT bug on XPs
Is my mobo damaged or Windows XPs r shitty...?

While I do not have any experience with Virtualization, I do recommend taking a look at this resource on How to Enable and Use Client Hyper-V, as well as Run virtual machines on Windows 8.1 with Client Hyper‑V. I am not certain if this processor has hardware virtualization support, it appears that Windows 8.1 pro and enterprise may have built in capabilities.

Lightroom 5.7.1 Lens Corrections chooses wrong lens info from EXIF when I 'Enable Profile Corrections'. Windows 7

When I enable lens corrections on a jpg image it brings up the wrong lens info. If I try to change it there are only 2 lenses listed—neither one is correct. It lists a 50mm lens even though in the Histogram just above it says 18mm. I then tried the original DNG image & it chooses the correct lens automatically. Both the jpg & DNG image EXIF info show an 18mm lens, which is correct, but Lr doesn't read the jpg info correctly. The problem is the same on all the images I've tried so far.

Most Adobe-supplied lens profiles are for raw files only. Since there are very few JPG lens profiles LR is probably just choosing the closest one it has which isn’t anywhere close to the right lens.
The reason raw and jpgs have separate lens profiles is because cameras apply lens corrections when they produce JPGs and it would be inappropriate for LR to apply a lens profile when the camera already has, so LR refrains. If you are sure that your camera has not applied any corrections then you can hack a raw lens profile into a jpg lens profile by text-editing a copy of the .lcp file that comes with LR, and changing the raw designation from true to false inside the file for each profile segment, then move this edited copy to the users profile area. You might also find the JPG version of the profile using the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader available via a search at adobe.com.

My Final Cut is adding a frame when I lay to Digibeta

I am getting really frustrated with my Final Cut as it is adding a frame when I layoff onto Digibeta. My time-line is set correctly, for example at 09:59:30:00 I have a 30sec clock and the video starts at 10:00:00:00 within FC but when I check the digi back the media is comes in at 10:00:00:01.
When I open up my project on another computer and lay to Digi it's fine and all the settings on my computer appear to be the same as the other computers that don't add the frame. And just to confuse mt futher, when I layoff to Beta SP in the same manner it comes in on time.
Has anyone else experienced this and managed to solve the problem? I am running FC 5.1.4 on a G5 with Mac OS X 10.4.10

I've seen with RS-422 connections that you need to calibrate each deck you use to record back to... You can do this by adjusting the device control setting for each machine. If it's consistantly a frame off, just adjust it's device control setting to match. (frame offset parameter).
