Flickr sync changing static urls in sets

When I share photos from iPhoto to a previously created Flickr set, the sync changes all of the static urls on my previously uploaded pictures in that same set. This is frustrating because it breaks all of the links to photos on my prior blog posts. In my blog the picture will be missing and an error message from flickr says, "this photo is currently unavailable."  The only thing I can do to fix it is to edit the blog post using the new URL and reposting it.
Flickr support has directed me to apple support saying that it is an issue with apple's API.  Flickr said the only way to correct it would be to share pictures to a new set each time in Flickr. That seems to be a work-around, but it is annoying organizationally.  Is anyone else having this issue, or is there a way to avoid it?
Thanks!

Just an update: I've tested making changes, deletions, etc. Sure enough -- any deletions or moves made in Aperture delete the image from your Flickr stream.
Some may like this -- I, on the other hand, prefer to upload to Flickr and have those uploads static in Flickr. Any changes I make in Aperture (renaming a project, moving images, archiving, migrating to another drive, etc) should not make the images (and all connected comments and links) simply disappear from Flickr.
I've done what I suspected I needed to do -- I unauthorized Aperture from connecting directly to Flickr and upgraded to the beta version of Connected Flow's beta-version FlickrExport for Aperture compatible with 64-bit Aperture 3. I'm now a happy camper.

  • Aperture 3 Flickr Sync is broken?

    Been running into consistent problems with Aperture 3's Flickr sync. Random images in sets aren't uploaded, and resynchronizing with Flickr doesn't correct the problem. Also, some images don't upload according to the settings specified - for example, setting the export to use original resolution sometimes only uploads 1024 pixels wide when the original is much larger.
    Anyone else running into these problems?
    I like that they incorporated this, but it's so unreliable I've resumed using 1001 to handle my Flickr uploads.

    Same issue here, just can't get it to work at anything other than 1024x

  • Aperture 3/Flickr Sync - Non Responsive?

    A week ago I tried using the Flickr sync tool in the Aperture 3. I had an issue where it deleted half of one of my sets when I tried to move things over on flickr so I could access it in Aperture. I removed the permissions in flickr and deleted the flickr album in my library and figured I'd find another option.
    Now, when I click the flickr button or do share/flickr, nothing happens. Facebook, mobile me, and email work but not flickr. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. I've tried a number of different photos with different formats and differently formatted file names.
    Is it possible that this is just a flickr permissions issue?

    Same issue here, just can't get it to work at anything other than 1024x

  • Data destroying bug in Flickr sync

    Create a set with more than 500 items.
    Sync by clicking on the set name under Flickr in the sidebar. Notice that only 500 items are downloaded.
    Now click on the set name a second time
    Observe that the set on Flickr itself now only has 500 items.
    I bought Aperture today specifically because I heard it had better Flickr support than Lightroom. 12 hours later, and it's ruined days of work and I'm stuck with a NZ$100 program that's useless to me.
    Luckily this problem only removes the photos from the set - the uncategorized photos seem still to be on my account.

    I have this happen with under 500 photos. If I have a set in Flickr I haven't used in a while and I have changed photos in Aperture then it will completely replace the photos in my Flickr (and Facebook) sets with my Aperture photos. This destroys all view counts and comments. I think recently on Facebook the photo that got replaced had not even been updated in Aperture . . . I think I changed the title after uploading it to Facebook but not in Aperture. After the sync then the Facebook photo was replaced with the Aperture photo using the camera title for the photo (and all comments were lost).
    I'd like to no longer sync both ways. I don't want Aperture touching current photos on my online accounts. I just want Aperture to be able to add new photos to the accounts, but do nothing to current photos in any way --> a one way sync instead of a full sync.

  • How do I use Sun Web Server 7.0u1 reverse proxy to change public URLs?

    Some of our installations use the Sun Web Server 7.0 (update 1, usually)
    for hosting some of the public resource and reverse-proxying other parts
    of the URI namespace from other backend servers (content, application
    and other types of servers).
    So far every type of backend server served a unique part of the namespace
    and there was no collision of names, and the backend resources were
    published in a one-to-one manner. That is, a backend resource like, say,
    http://appserver:8080/content/page.html would be published in the internet
    as http://www.publicsite.com/content/page.html
    I was recently asked to research whether we can rename some parts of
    the public URI namespace, to publish some or all resources as, say,
    http://www.publicsite.com/data/page.html while using the same backend
    resources.
    Another quest, possibly related in solution, was to make a tidy url for the
    first page the user opens of the site. That is, in the current solution when
    a visitor types the url "www.publicsite.com" in his or her browser, our web
    server returns an HTTP-302 redirect to the actual first page URL, so the
    browser sends a second request (and changes the URL in its location bar).
    One customer said that it is not "tidy". They don't want the URL to change
    right upon first rendering the page. They want the root page to be rendered
    instantly i the first HTTP request.
    So far I found that I can't solve these problems. I believe these problems
    share a solution because it relies on ability to control the actual URI strings
    requested by Sun Web Server from backend servers.
    Some details follow, now:
    It seems that the reverse proxy (Service fn="service-passthrough") takes
    only the $uri value which was originally requested by the browser. I didn't
    yet manage to override this value while processing a request, not even if
    I "restart" a request. Turning the error log up to "finest" I see that even
    when making the "service-passthrough" operation, the Sun Web Server
    still remembers that the request was for "/test" (in my test case below);
    it does indeed ask the backend server for an URI "/test" and that fails.

        Service fn="set-variable"  uri="/magnoliaPublic/Main.html"Thanks for any ideas (including a statement whether this can be done at all
    in some version of Sun Web Server 7.0 or its opensourced siblings) ;)

    Some of our installations use the Sun Web Server 7.0 (update 1, usually)please plan on installing the latest service pack - 7.0 Update 4. these updates addresses potentially critical bug fixes.
    I was recently asked to research whether we can rename some parts of
    the public URI namespace, to publish some or all resources as, say,
    http://www.publicsite.com/data/page.html while using the same backend
    resources.> now, if all the resources are under say /data, then how will you know which pages need to be sent to which back end resources. i guess, you probably meant to check for /data/page.html should go to <back-end>/content/page.html
    yes, you could do something like
    - edit your corresponding obj.conf (<hostname>-obj.conf or obj.conf depending on your configuration)
    <Object name=¨default¨>
    <If $uri = ¨/page/¨>
    #move this nametrans SAF (for map directive - which is for reverse proxy within <if> clause)
    NameTrans.. fn=map
    </If
    </Object>
    and you could do https-<hostname>/bin/reconfig (dynamic reconfiguration) to check out if this is what you wanted. also, you might want to move config/server.xml <log-level> to finest and do your configuration . this way, you would get enough information on what is going on within your server logs.
    finally,when you are satisfied, you might have to run the following command to make your manual change into admin config repository.
    <install-root>/bin/wadm pull-config user=admin config=<hostname> <hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm deploy-config --user=admin <hostname>
    you might want to check out this for more info on how you could use <if> else condition to handle your requirement.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gdaer?a=view
    finally, you might want to refer to this doc - which explains on ws7 request processing overview. this should provide you with some pointers as to what these different directives mean
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gbysz?a=view

    please check out the rewrite / restart SAF. this should help you.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gdada?a=view
    pl. understand that - like with more web servers - ordering of directives is very important within obj.conf. so, you might want to make sure that you verify the obj.conf directive ordering is what you want it to do..
    It seems that the reverse proxy (Service fn="service-passthrough") takes
    only the $uri value which was originally requested by the browser. I didn't

    it does indeed ask the backend server for an URI "/test" and that fails.
    now, you are in the totally wrong direction. web server 7 includes a highly integrated reverse proxy solution compared to 6.1. unlike 6.1, you don´t have to download a separate plugin . however, you will need to manually migrate your 6.1 based reverse proxy settings into 7.0. please check out this blog link on how to set up a reverse proxy
    http://blogs.sun.com/amit/entry/setting_up_a_reverse_proxy
    feel free to post to us if you need any futher help
    you are probably better off - starting fresh
    - install ws7u4
    - use gui or CLI to create a reverse proxy and map one on one - say content
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6601/create-reverse-proxy-1?a=view
    if you don´t plan on using ws7 integrated web container (ability to process jsp/servlet), then you could disable java support as well. this should reduce your server memory footprint
    <install-root>/bin/wadm disable-java user=admin config=<hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm create-reverse-proxy user=admin uri-prefix=/content server=<http://your back end server/ config=<hostname> --vs=<hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm deploy-config --user=admin <hostname>
    now, you can check out the regular express processing and <if> syntax from our docs and try it out within <https-<hostname>/config/<hostname>-obj.conf> file and restart the server. pl. note that once you disable java, ws7 admin server creates <vs>-obj.conf and you need to edit this file and not default obj.conf for your changes to be read by server.
    >
    I have also tried "restart"ing the request like this:
    NameTrans fn="restart" uri="/data"
    ordering is very important here... you need to do this some thing like
    <Object name=default>
    <If not $restarted>
    NameTrans fn=restart uri from=/¨ uri=/foo.
    </If>

  • How to change the URL of a URL-iView over Code ?

    Hi all,
    i am getting started with the Portal-Application-Developement and want to change the URL of an URL-iView on runtime with java-code.
    i have read the context and can get the Property url with this statement.
    endContext.getProfile().getProperty("url")
    But if i change this property, nothing is done.
    endContext.getProfile().setProperty("url", "http://www.yahoo.com");
    Where is my fault.
    Thanks for help.
    Regards Jürgen

    Hi,
    the context is of Type IPortalComponentContext.
    I cant find no method getParameter() at the context or the profile.
    The methods to read the properties of the URL-iView are
    context.getProfile().getProperty("url")
    context.getProfile().getAttributeValue("url")
    But if i want to set (change) this attribute, nothing is done.

  • Is it possible to change the URL of the browser corresponding to changes in the timeline?

    Hello,
    I'm trying to create a whole website in Edge. Is it possible to change the browser URL for different sections of the animation. For example me.com/part1 leads to 2.0 seconds in the animation. And for example when you type me.com/part2 the browser would go to 4th second of the animation. And vice versa, when the animation reaches the 4th second the browser URL would change to me.com/part2. It would be really great if that were possible. Any ideas on how to accomplish it?
    Thanks!

    Hi there, Joel's example seems to be exactly what you're trying to do. All you need to do is replace his functions with your functions.
    There are two main parts to his example: 1) reacting to a URL change directly in the URL bar, 2) reacting to a button click, and setting the URL
    Regarding Item 1: this line (this adds a listener for when the URL hash is changed, and calls the 'sym.animate' function in his example). Note that he is linking the value after the # with the symbol names 'panel1', etc. This line enables the functionality for you to be able to directly change the URL to: testStep95.html#panel2, and the site will change pages.
    $(window).on("hashchange", function(){sym.animate(location.hash.replace("#",""), sym.onStage)});
    Regarding Item 2: he's setting the page title (based on the active panel symbol) and URL hash, in the  'sym.animate' function. He calls the 'sym.animate' function on click of btn1, btn2, btn3:
    document.title = panelIn;
    window.location.hash = panelIn;
    Props to Joel for his slick example!

  • [HTTP Sender]How to send different XML using static URL

    Hi all,
    I have a problem, my legacy system send XML messages to SAP XI by HTTP, I know that I need to use HTTP Sender adapter, the problem is that legacy system support only a static URL. I have more than one interface, how could I fix this problem?
    Can I send the XML message to SAP XI without define INTERFACE on URL? How can I handle this?
    Thank in advance,
    Daniel Torres

    Hi Srinivas,
    The legacy system is a java application, that send XML messages to SAP XI server using HTTP protocol. So I just ask to legacy system team to change the application to add <b>server</b>, <b>namespace</b> and <b>interface</b> attributes to the URL querystring.
    So for each XML message you should especify mesage interface that it belongs to. You do it by especifying on URL as message atribute for exemple:
    HTTP://[SAPXISERVER]:80[SYSTEM ID]/sap/xi/adapter_plain?service=[BS SERVICE]&namespace=[MESSAGE INTERFACE NAMESPACE]&interface=[MESSAGE INTERFACE]
    So if you have for example information belows:
    <b>MESSAGE INTERFACE</b> = MI_MYMESSAGEINTERFACE_IB
    <b>MESSAGE INTERFACE NAMESPACE</b> = urn:teste:mymessageinterface
    <b>SERVICE</b> = MY_LEGACY
    <b>SYSTEM ID</b> = 10
    <b>SAPXISERVER</b> = MYSAPXI
    Your url should looks like: http://MYSAPXI:8010/sap/xi/apadter_plain?service=MY_LEGACY&namespace=urn:teste:mymessageinterface &interface=MI_MYMESSAGEINTERFACE_IB
    You should have a different message interface for each XML that you send to SAP XI.

  • Is it possible to change the URL of displaytag's sortable function?

    Basically, I've got a jsp page with the displaytag code on it such as:
    <display:table name="result">
    <display:column sortable="true" property="title" />
    <display:column sortable="true" property="author" />
    <display:column sortable="true" property="status" />
    <display:column sortable="true" property="location" />
    <display:column property="image" />
    </display:table>
    The way it loads the data is that in a servlet, a line of code creates the arraylist called "result", and passes that through the HTTP header onto the jsp. The jsp gets it and displaytag handles it. However, whenever I click one of the sortable headings, none of the data is found because the jsp currently needs to have the arraylist sent to it from a servlet. Clicking a sort link doesn't go through a servlet, just adds some arguments.
    Is there a way to change the sortable URL to go back through a servlet and then add the sorting code (which is something usually like ?d-49653-s=0&d-49653-o=2&d-49653-p=1)?
    Thanks
    Ed

  • Changing AnyConnect URL

    All,
    I need to change the URL that AnyConnect clients connect with and I'm looking for the easiest way of doing so without requiring clients to manually change the URL on their existing installations. This will also include going from a self-signed SSL cert on the old address to a publicly signed SSL on the new address. Could I use AnyConnect client profiles to do this even though I'm not using profiles at all now? Basically saying anyone connecting with the old address are somehow automatically forwarded to the new address.

    I believe you could use a profile and make your server list refer to the FQDN and not the IP address.
    Once clients had connected and their local profiles update to include the FQDN, your DNS record pointing to the new address would direct them to the desired place.
    Here's where that's set in Profile Editor:

  • Multiple images from static URL

    I am currently writing an applet that grabs radar images from a static URL. The image on the URL is updated every 15 minutes. I have a timer that will grab the image every 15 minutes and put it in an image[] array. Eventually I will be looping these images, and let the user define how far back to loop and how fast the loop is. Right now, though, every image it grabs is the same as the very first one. For testing purposes I have the URL currently set to an online panda cam with a timestamp (so I dont have to wait 30 minutes every build to see if it works on the radar URL). If I start the program at 12:47:51(timestamp on webcam) , it grabs a new image every 10 seconds. After a few minutes I have an array of images with the timestamp 12:47:51, every image is identical.

    well, I have the url
    "url"
    and the image[] array
    "imageArray[x]"
    in the actionPerformed for the timer:
    imageArray[x] = getImage(url); Currently I just have a button to step thru the images.
                        backg.drawImage(imageArray[counter],0,0,radarWidth,radarHeight,Color.white,this);Just to see if that worked I loaded the array with images from different URLs, and I was able to display them all without problem. Just when I use the static URL do I get the problem of the repeated image.

  • Changing the URL address in browser toolbar

    I develop websites and interactive content to be used on screen for film and tv. I usually don't upload sites to a server and just preview them locally on laptops and desktops by obviously opening the .home or .index page in whatever browser is installed.
    My question is, is there anyway to change the URL that is displayed in the toolbar to another address ?
    Generally the toolbar in the browser will display a path where the files are saved i.e. file:///Users/Documents/WEB%20DESIGN/ABRD/home.html - but I would like to display for example www.mysite.com
    Most of the time I just hide the tool / address bar in Safari or Firefox, but it would be good to be able to show a real looking address other than a file path.
    Hoping there is some way to achieve this in the html code that will work locally ? I've read about URL masking but that needs the sites to be uploaded to a server for it to work?
    Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated.

    Depending on the local server you are using you could set up a virtual host:
    This is a basic example using a Windows host with an Apache server:

  • Change external urls on existing deployment without user interruption

    We've got a client who changed its Company Name just after the migration of 2010 => 2013.
    All mailboxes are moved to 2013.  Now we need to change their external/internal urls without user interruption...
    Current config:
        2 x Windows 2012 R2 + Exchange 2013 RU7 => 1 DAG => 2 databases (primary & archive)
    External urls:
    activesync.currentcompany.be
    autodiscover.currentcompany.be
    Internal urls:
    Exchange2013.currentcompany.be
    DNS records:
    autodiscover SRV record for newcompanyname.be
    Accounts:

    New config:
    Same servers
    External urls:
    activesync.newcompanyname.be
    Internal urls:
    exchange2013.newcompanyname.be
    What is the best practice for this?

    Hi,
    If the domain name is changed, please check the email address policy for all domain users. If all users are using the new domain, the old domain would never be used and all DNS records have been changed to new domain, we can run the following commands to
    change the URLs:
    Set-ClientAccessServer -Identity CAS2013 -AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri https://exchange2013.newcompanyname.be/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
    Set-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -Identity "CAS2013\EWS (Default Web Site)" -InternalUrl https://exchange2013.newcompanyname.be/ews/exchange.asmx -ExternalUrl https://activesync.newcompanyname.be/ews/exchange.asmx
    Set-OABVirtualDirectory -Identity "CAS2013\oab (Default Web Site)" -InternalUrl https://exchange2013.newcompanyname.be/oab -ExternalUrl https://activesync.newcompanyname.be/oab
    Set-OwaVirtualDirectory -Identity "CAS2013\OWA (Default Web Site)" -ExternalUrl https://activesync.newcompanyname.be/owa
    -InternalUrl https://exchange2013.newcompanyname.be/owa
    Set-EcpVirtualDirectory -Identity "CAS2013\ecp (Default Web Site)" -ExternalUrl https://activesync.newcompanyname.be/ecp

     -InternalUrl https://exchange2013.newcompanyname.be/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync
    Additionally, please create a new trusted certificate with the following namespaces:
    activesync.newcompanyname.be,autodiscover.newcompanyname.be,Exchange2013.newcompanyname.be
    Assign the certificate with IIS service.

  • How do I change my URL?  Driving me crazy

    I bought i-Web and installed Mobileme without realising I'd get a URL that nobody will ever find. I've registered the domain name I want at 123-reg but instead of an easy click to change my URL name on i-Web to www.errolchristie.com - I get a lot of gobbledygook about having to go to my registrar and finding a CNAME (what on earth is that?). I don't work in IT and I just want to change the URL to something more relevant to the site content. Really I wouldn't have bought i-web if I'd known that the sites created would only ever be found by friends and family. Please - make our lives easier!

    You don't change your domain name within iWeb but MobileMe as this is where you site is published. What you do is firstly log into your MobileMe account and then go to the personal domain name settings and enter your domain name here. You then need to go to 123reg and find the DNS settings and set up a new CNAME - CNAME is a method of domain name forwarding that will forward your domain name to your MME account and give you the url http://www.domain.com/sitename/pagename. When you find the DNS settings you need to set your domain name as the alias and then forward this to web.me.com which is your host.
    Within 24 to 48 hours your site will be found by entering your domain name and not the web.me.com url.
    As far as I know setting this up at 123reg is quite straight forward - ask them if they provide CNAME forwarding and if not, you have the option of either moving your domain name to GoDaddy that does or using ordinary web forwarding instead.

  • HOWTO:  Changing the URL and reloading the dataset

    Sometimes, you will need to change the url of your dataset
    and reload the dataset. This is quite easy to do with changing a
    variable and calling a method. Below is the code you would use. I
    use it to page through a set of data which only comes back in 10
    row increments and we do not know the recordcount of. (Yippee,
    Oracle E1). Anyway, here's the code....
    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
    rowCount = 0;

    Enabling SSL for Central Administration is a good idea. Making it so it is only accessible using an IP address doesn't make it any more secure. This is security through obscurity and anyone dedicated enough to attacking Central Administration will find the
    site whether it's an IP address or named.
    For what it's worth an attacker is going to try scanning IP ranges long before they try looking at DNS. And, because of the way SharePoint works if the site is accessible by its IP address and not a specific hostname, anyone who knows the IP address and
    the SSL port (443) can connect. If you have a hostname it won't be immediately accessible.
    Some other thoughts: When you rely just on the IP address, what happens if you want to move Central Administration to another server in the farm, or you want to provide load balancing and have multiple servers hosting Central Administration? What happens
    when the server running Central Administration dies so you create a new Central Administration site on a server with a different IP address? How will you communicate this URL change to all of your administrators?

    Sorry,
    I wasn't clear in my OP.  The IP would be tied to a DN.  So you would go https://abc123.com and it would ask for authentication.  That URL would be tied to a separate IP on the network card of that server.  The IP address association
    is done through IIS.
