Is there any way to add watermark on iMovie 10.0.1 version? I could be able to do it in previous versions with enabling advanced settings.

You do it 10.0.1 in much the same way you did in iMovie version 9. You use Picture-in-Picture.

  • How to add watermarks in iMovie ´09

    Hi
I'm editing my videos in iMovie and I'm able to do lot of things there but I don't find a option where I can add a watermarks (text) to the video.
There is a possibility to add titeles, overlaps, music and pictures in iMovie but I can't find any text or watermarks. I have only the the "stipes" in titels which shows in the lower border of the video, but I don't want that. I want "text hanging in the air".
    Where to do this?

If you just want a title hanging in mid-air, I would just drag the Centered title over the entire project (the entire clip will turn blue to show where the title is). Highlight the text to change it, then click on *Show Fonts* where you can change the color. Choose a light gray and it will look like a watermark.
Another way to do this is to import a still image over your entire project and set the opacity to low, which gives a watermark or ghost effect.

  • How to watermark in iMovie 08?

Found a workaround but thought I ask if there is a better way.
I used a lower third text and dragged the duration over the period of the whole edited movie. Then I used only the second line and positioned the text to the left.
Works perfect - would only be nice if you could position the text closer to the lower left corner - away from the safe area. Or if you could import a grafic and could just overlay that (with alpha).

    Hallo Karsten - danke. Supertips!
Are you German? Your name implies. I live in Munich half of the year. (Ahh - I see in your sig that you live in Munich too
But wow - those are great tips. Suddenly iM08 is so much more powerful and easier to use (even).
A last one - since I have your attention.
I think about doing rough edits (including brightness correction, cropping, creation of stills with ken burns effect) in iM08 and then do the fine edit and file preparation (for SD DVD and the web) from FCP.
Found that rotation does not arrive correctly at FCP via XML export. Just wondering if only rough cuts will arrive or also the other edits I mentioned above. I am aware that transisions will not arrive - but thats ok.

  • Why Does QT Player Movie Show Flip4Mac Icon?

I use Mavericks 10.9.3.  Please see enclosed picture.  Why does QuickTime Player Movie (that has been converted to QuickTime.mov) show a Flip4Mac icon on the top right hand side of movie? How do I remove that Flip4Mac icon?

That watermark is put there by Flip4Mac. Apparently there was a bug in that extension, that was fixed in the latest version:
    Version 3.3.0.9:
    Removed Flip4Mac watermark from playback.

  • Problem converting WMV movie file to format Adobe After Effects can read...

    Need HELP...
Trying to convert a windows WMV movie clip so that Adobe After Effects can read, as the Mac OSX version of After Effects does not like WMV.
    Any help appreciated.
    Max

i'm with the Captain's answer, Flip4Mac's Windows Media Components will allow you to work with the files directly in AE or other QT compliant application
but whilst the free player version will allow you to view the files, you'll need to pony up for at least the Player Pro version if you intend to transcode to another format (otherwise the copy will have a Flip4Mac watermark)

  • How to get rid of Quicktime "image" on top right of converted file

I just converted a WMV file to both MOV and MP4 formats.  There is a Quicktime graphic on the top right now that looks like a circular button with the play icon in it.  I have a fully licensed version of Quicktime Pro v.7.  How can I get rid of that image (which comes across kind of like a watermark)?

If you're converting WMV, you're probably using Flip4Mac as part of the QuickTime conversion process. The graphic is likely a Flip4Mac watermark. See: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6418932.

  • WMV question

I have a couple wmv files, and i don't know how to get them into a usable format for FCP. I tried to compress them with compressor, but all that happened was i got a weird "mov" that shakes in fcp, has a flip4mac watermark, and has no audio. it plays in QT 7, not in X, and quicktime also tells me to download a plug in but doesn't say which one. plus the info for the qt mov (even though i compressed it) still says at least the audio is wmv. Any ideas of how/what to use to change these files? Thanks
    Austin

Now you get to have some real fun. Get a pad and pencil and get ready to do all sorts of compressions until you get one that works.
Over the years I've built up a series of compressor presets for converting wmv to qt and vice versa. I think I would first try opening a file in QT and exporting as what your timeline dictates. You could also go to compressor and use one of the advanced conversions-- or whatever it's called. Go right to your easy setup, don't do any intermediate steps.
Keep trying with one file until you get it sorted. And keep notes, you'll want them...

  • Question about creating a watermark in Photoshop Windows, but for use in iMovie 11 16:9 aspect ratio

I am looking to get this logo (the whole thing, not cut off  on the top and bottom as is all I can currently manage to get working) to use as a semi-transparent watermark for a video I made to highlight the company the logo represents. Anyone have any ideas or might be able to edit it and send it back? No matter what I do the top and bottom are always cut off in iMovie 11. A link to the logo I need to use is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AGC_Logo.png
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] with any suggestions.
From all the research I did last night I found that iMovie 11 requires the watermarks themselves to be in either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect. I tried using GIMP on my wifes macbook to crop to these aspects but some part of the logo is always cut off, ie: the top and bottom or the left and right sides.
    Thank you again in advance!

Thank you. I'll try it as soon as I get home from work. Unfortunately we
have a filter that blocks direct image links. However I forwarded this to
    my personal email.
I tried stretching the canvas last night but no matter the size of the
canvas, GIMP still would only allow me to crop based off the size of the
logo itself. I could crop part of the canvas, as well as the logo, but I
could not crop a perfect square. When I did crop the square...(after two
hours of trying) iMovie 11 still viewed the logo as too large and cut off
the top and bottom of the circle.
Hopefully when I get home what you sent will work.
    Jason

  • Flip4Mac (WMV Files? --- iMovie?)

I know Flip4Mac allows WMV files to play in quicktime, but can you export them into iMovie as another file type?
How can I take a WMV movie and edit it using iMovie? or Is it not possible? (Remember I'm new at this....)
    -Thanks

Any help I can get with WMV files would be appreciated. This topic just really confuses me and the more that I read the more I seem to confuse myself.
Heres the main problem: The place that I am making a highlight film uses a PC and they do all their editing on it... I am starting to do more of the editing and I need to learn what my options are with my mac and wmv files.
When I attempt to open up [in quicktime on my macbook pro] the highlight film that was done on the PC, the files show up as: VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB... ? ---> Is there anyway to edit [using imovie] these files on my macbook pro? Do I need to save them a special way onto the disk from my PC? Is there software that I can buy to help me?
Remember that I'm new to this... Please don't give me a complicated answer...

  • IMovie 11 with chroma-key and watermarks

I'm new to iMovie. I did attempt to find the answers to the questions below here and on the web. Frankly iMovie so far seems to be pain....
setup for my testing purposes only:
    a) borrowed chroma-key movie from the web
    b) borrowed m4p from the web
I wanted to test my ability to use chrome-key and watermarks in making a short clip using 3 products...Screenflow 4, iMovie, Final Cut Pro X.
    Questions and/or statements:
    1) Green-screen:
Screenflow and Final Cut took about 5-10 minutes with zero knowledge of either...Over an hour with with iMovie and never could make it work.
    2) Watermark:
Aganin 5-10 minutes with Screenflow and Final Cut, with iMove it looks like I could have either keying or watermark, but not both.
Screenflow is SUPER simple and cheep (on sale today for $70), I've seem it 50% off...
Final Cut is OUTSTANDING but super costly for what I wanted to do....Really a great product.
Anyway, here I am with a iMovie and so far it looks like it isn't a fit for me...Anyone know if a way to tweek it to make both chroma-key and watermarking work? I guessing it's just me, but the others seemed so simple.
Attached are screen copies of each...in order below are iMovie, Final Cut Pro X, and the output of Screenflow....
I want to thank those that I borrowed these images from...I will not use them beyond my testing....
    Thanks for any helpfull hints...

iMovie is designed with a very forgiving green screen feature so you can hang a green bedsheet on a wall and get a decent effect. It is designed for people making home movies. Perhaps for this reason, if you have a perfect green key in iMovie, then iMovie might think you used the green on purpose. It expects some variation. When people are doing computer generated graphics, or creating a green background with Photoshop or Keynote or Powerpoint, I suggest using a gradient between close shades of green, rather than a monochromatic green.
If you need sophisticated control of your keying, get FCPX. I am not familiar with Screenflow.
Also, iMovie does all rendering in one pass. This means it cannot do effects that require a render on top of a render. Say you want a greenscreen effect with a watermark on top. That is two renders. This is easy in Final Cut Pro, but not possible in iMovie without jumping through some hoops.
Also for this reason, longer movies should be done in FCPX. What for iMovie would be an immense job requiring huge resources, FCPX can do by chopping it up into bitesize pieces.

  • Removing imovie name watermark/name in the association with imovie credits

How do I get rid of the imovie name watermark/name in the association with imovie in the credits?
My client don't want to have the imovie name in the credits!

First right/click on the trailer name in the Project Library, and select DUPLICATE. (This will give you a copy of the trailer in case you need to edit it again.)
    Then for your trailer,
    1. Go to: File > Convert to Project
    2. Select the credits title at the end of your project and enter your own text.
