Flipping text to white on black

Most readers allow you to flip the background and text to black and white and back again.  It
helps preserve battery power on a long read.  How do I do this with Adobe Reader for Android?

There are no screen inverter apps outa there without needing root rights...
I'm looking also for this feature called night mode. It's impossible using adobe reader at night in bed, on the one hand it hurts my eyes on the other the WAF is quite low
Searching through the community you will see that this feature is wanted for years now so please implement it because it's one of the abosultely most important ones. Or make the reader open source so we will do it by ourselves
But besides the laments you all are doing a good job adobe reader is one of the most usable readers so keep on with that!

  • Invert text to white on black

I find reading white tex on black background than white on black. EG on Samsung. Apple can invert the colours. Surely Sony can. just moved from and old Samsung. Just assumed on android it would be easy.

  • How do i change the background display to white with black text. It is white text on blackbackground right now

Why is my screen display black background with white text?  How can i change back to black text on white background?

Change it in Settings > General > Accessibility.

  • The background is missing. Black text is now appearing white. Cannot see most of the page, because the text is white!!!!! HELLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!

Some of the text shows up in black or a shade of blue. The firefox logo is in full color. I have tried Tools/Option/Contents/Color - the settings are correct, but even after rebooting the computer, still missing most of the text. The background is white.
Checked other Browsers, and none of them are appearing correctly. Firefox is my "beloved" browser, so I am turning to you for help!

Reset to the Firefox "Default" theme in Add-ons > Appearance. Then, if you wish, find a different Theme or Persona, that is not so dark:

  • How do you change the text color in io7 from white to black?

How do you change the text color on the home page in iO7 from white to black?  I tried to invert the color but that reverses everything inclufing pictures.

Yes, you can. If you change your wallpaper to a very light or white color the text turns black.

  • Preview Printing Negative Images - White text and lines on black background

Desperate for help here. After upgrading to Tiger, I have more instances when Preview displays a PDF correctly but prints certain pages with images, such as graphs and technical figures, as negatives, that is, white text and line art on a black background. Is there any way I can fix this? Any advice would be most appreciated.

I was trying to scan from a Lexmark X5250 into Preview so that I could fax a signed document to a company.
When I chose "To be faxed", with Preview TIFF program under 10.4.6 (combo) (PPC), the document appeares in Preview as a white-on-black (negative) in Preview's open window.
A work-around seems to be that one selects "To be printed", then prints from Preview, then selects (in the lower-left corner drop-down-menu) "Fax PDF". (Unfortunately, the modem still won't hang-up properly -- is this because of my ADSL filter on the fax phone-line? ).

  • Black text on white background has horrible glow after export & viewed on TV.

I'm wondering how to correct a glow that develops around black text after exporting. Black text is on white background of course.
    Export settings:
    H.264
    HDTV 1080p 24 HQ
I've checked of 'use max. render quality' as well as 'render at max. depth'
If someone could help, that would be greatly appreciated!

If you want to try the contrast change.
In Titler ..make the White Fill less than full white. ( Color Picker Fill)  235 to 245 should be fine.
I would not mess with the Black and you should not need to Key line anything with Grey.
But maybe you did not make this text in Titler.
If not..you need to make the changes in original application. eg PhotoShop.
What TV is involved in viewing this?
How does the Text look in the PPRO Monitors?

  • IPhone 5s 7.1 update now have white AND black label text instead of all white text

Hello.  After I updated my iPhone 5s yesterday evening to 7.1 the label text on my iPhone's home row is now black instead of white and when I open my folders the text is now also black text instead of being an all uniform white text and this is bugging me is there a way to change it?  Please see photos below to demonstrate what I am talking about.  Thanks in advance.

Turning on Reduce Transparency in Settings results in gray backgrounds to the dock and folders and the black instead of white text.
You can turn off Reduce Transparency. The black text will turn white and the solid gray will become a little transparent taking on the color of the wallpaper.
Settings > General > Accessibility > Increase Contrast > Reduce Transparency (turn this off)

  • White on black text knockout

I am having problems with some white text (converted to paths) which is placed on a black background.. When viewing the pdf in Illustrator (CS4), the text show up fine. When viewing in Acrobat (which the printers will print from), the white text has disappeared. This only applies to some of the text (EXECUTIVES ONLINE on attached pic.), the rest is fine.  Any ideas as to what is going wrong? Should I set the trapping to knock out the black? If so, how?
    many thanks.

    Slect the text
then go to the Attributes Panel and see if the white is set to overprint if it is then uncheck Overprint Fill as you want it to knock out.
Overprinting white on black will yeold black which you do not want.
So uncheck overprint for the text.

  • Cursor disappears in Word 2004/2008 with white on black text

When I turn on white text on black background, and open a document in Word 2004 or 2008 (or text entry field, in, e.g., Firefox**), when the pointer changes from an arrow to an "I-bar" shape, it disappears. If I toggle back to black text on white background, poof -- there it is. I talked to Apple support and they were able to reproduce the problem, but said it's with Word. I talked to Microsoft support, and they said it's an Apple problem. I don't care; I just need a way to fix it, because using Word is difficult w/o a pointer, and I need to use Word. Anyone have any ideas? I do NOT see a problem with, e.g., Mail.app, where the cursoer also changes to an I-bar at times, but remains visible even in high contrast mode. Note also that this probem does not occur using Word for Windows using Windows high contrast mode (which, however, really is primative compared to OS X's mode).
**Re Firefox example: I'm filling out this form right now, and although the insertion point is visible (the vertical bar where text is entered), the pointer (the arrow that changes to an I-bar when it's inside this text-entry box) is not. All I need to do to make it visible -- as in Word -- is hit Ctrl-Cmd-Opt-8 to toggle the text to black on white, and there it is.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
    1. White on blue is a partial solution. It's actually still a little glarey for me (I have an eye problem), and, of course, when I switch from Word to another program, I have to toggle back into white on black for the other program, so I can see it.
    2. I thought of Pages, too. It works fine, except that I need to exchage documents with PC users, who use Word. For some reason Pages displays line and page breaks in different places than does Word, which is a problem when moving docs back and forth. (Apple support told me that Pages renders fonts and line spacing differently from Word, and there's no way to make text look the same in both programs.) Thats a deal-killer, because the folks I work with and I need to see page layouts exactly the same. TextEdit doesn't have the features I need.
    3. As to other programs: It also happens all other Office apps, in Mozilla Thunderbird, and with Palm Desktop for the Mac. It does NOT occur, oddly, in NeoOffice. I initially thought that the re-write of Word from 2004 to Universal Binary in 2008 would fix the problem, but it didn't. Maybe other folks who are listening (reading) in can try it on some third party programs. I don't have or use anything else that I can think of.

  • 7th gen ipod screen flips from logo to white to black

Sounds like it might have a hardware problem, use your warranty and get it replaced.

  • How can text - white over black be changed?

I was trying to set a preferences and don't know how/where I changed to white on black but this also screwed up my screen display.  All pix now appear as if negatives.

Go under settings, general, accessibility. In some iOS it's called 'invert colors' in others I think it's called white over black or something like that.

  • How can I change the background of a running webpage on my own. Example Facebook I want to change its backround color from white to black just in my view not for all

How can I change the background of a running webpage on my own. Example Facebook I want to change its background color from white to black just in my view, not for all. Cause I really hate some site with white background because as I read for an hour it aches my eyes but not on those with darker background color.

You can use the NoSquint extension to set font sizes (text/page zoom) and text colors on web pages.
