Floating fields and added pages

Hi everybody,
My problem is to know how I could bind some floating fields when I get several pages. The user fill in the page 1 of a form and the text appear on the page 1 and on the two following cards. But, but it doesn't work when I add many pages. The text is different on the page 2 and so on.

Floating fields and fragment subforms in Outlook 2007 do not display correctly

I'm using LCES Forms 8.0 Update 1 to render a non-interactive HTML forms using dynamic content (customer info). The email appears ok in clients except in Outlook 2007.
The Floating text and Text Fields appear multiple times on the form (scattered around their placement point on the form) and the subform fragments are appearing with borders surrounding them.
I have heard that there are issues with Outlook 2007 not displaying HTML correctly. Is there a way to setup the Text Fields/Subforms in Designer so they display correctly in Outlook 2007?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

FBV1 - missing standard field and adding customer field

Hi there,
I am in a process of developing a batch input program based on RFBIBL00 to upload preliminary posted documents.
The problem is some fields are not there. A standard field BKPF-REINDAT is missing. Also there is a requirement to add a customer field from BSEG (on vendor screen).
I have searched SAP notes for possible solutions, most of them include modifying screens by hand and adding the required fields there (i.e. Note 1347046 - VATDATE: Field missing in batch input parking (FBV1)).
This is quite a serious modification, requiring access key to change SAP objects. Before I decide to change SAP standard objects I kindly ask whether anyone tried that ? REINDAT might work, as it's a standard field, but I'm note sure about customer fields.
Has anyone tried modifying FBV1 or any of FI posting screens by hand and can provide some input on this ?

Dear Bart ,
as You know the field in question is intended only for US-Federal customers.
The field is not availble into the standard system using the parking transaction; therefore You should run se51 at Your own responsability and do the changes.
If You need to be completely sure about the impact on the customer System, please kindly open a message on the marketplace.

Working with Instances - Hiding 1 field and multiple pages

I have a fairly simple form that has some header information and then 6 fields that repeat an unknown number of times, then a second page of summary information. I have two issues that I can't resolve:
1. How do I set up the repeating rows to flow to a second, or third page if I run out of room on the first page? I still need to show the 2nd page after this data.
2. How can I set one of the columns in this instance to be hidden/visible based on a user selection (checkbox) in the header area?

Anytime you modify a library symbol you are modifying all instances of it. You'll need to go thru the code to see how things like text and/or frame numbers are defined. Unfortunately, with AS1/2 code can live on objects which can make it difficult to find at times. So not only do you need to check the timeline code but you also need to click on the objects (or objects within objects) to find code living on them. On top of that, there is a general tendency for templates to be poorly designed - especially if they are free. So you might have an even harder time trying to reason out how the file works.

Line breaks within contents of floating fields

Hello everyone,
I have the following question regarding the usage of floating fields and line breaks:
I have a text that incorporates a companies name using a floating field.
If the name of the company is too large, a line break is forced automatically. In some cases the companies name is like "Company 123 N.V.". When the line break is forced on this company, its shows "Company 123 N." on the first line and "V." on the second line.
How can i prevent the line break at "N."? I suppose the break is because of the "." in the text. But I want it only to be a line break if the "." is followed by a space, not if there is more text to it.
The same sort of issue we face with floating fields containing for example telephone numbers ( format: "+31 (0) 20 - 123 456 1", line break at the "+", "(" or the spaces) and e-mail addresses ( [email protected], line break at the "@" or the ".") .

"500 internal server error" after adding custom fields to Address page

I need to display custom fields on the "Addresses" and the "Personal Data" pages. For that, we added custom CI_INCLUDE fields in both PA0006 and PA0002 tables as per instructions below

custom fields show up OK in page "Personal Data". However when trying to browse to page "Addresses"
we get the following error:
"500 internal server error - com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextException: MappedNodeInfo(DetailView.SelectedInfotype): unknown child node Area8 ".
"Area8" is one of the custom fields we added in PA0006 (Address infotype).
any idea what is wrong? maybe Badi HRPAD00INFTYUI cannot handle 2 infotypes in the same time?

Its clearly saying contect binding error. Have you mapped correctly from FcComponent to VcComponents.
FcCompoenets for Model logic.
Check the mappings correctly.
If it is complete custom or new field then there will be could of steps.
1) Reimport the model
2) map new field to FcComponent
3) Bind new Fields from Fc to Vc

After deleting and adding Yahoo account, there is no Default Account field for Calendar on iPhone

I read the tips to fix the synch problem with Yahoo Calendar. A step says to make sure the Default Account is set to a Yahoo one. When I deleted and added the Yahoo account according to instructions then went to the Calendar section of Settings on the iPhone there is no Default Account field any longer. I am running iOS 6.1.3 on iPhone 4s. As a result when selecting the Calendar app and tap Calendars there is no Yahoo calendar listed only iCloud and Facebook.

I saw a temporary Yahoo calndear for iOS work-around in another Apple Support Forum post, and it does work:

I have found a workaround thats working for me until they get this yahoo calendar thing solved. I logged into my yahoo account on my pc and opened up the calendar. There is a down arrow next to the name of the yahoo calendar you wish to have on you iDevice. Click the down arrow and select share.Go to "sharing and permissions" and your email address and click save. You will then receive an email with two links. Open the email on your iDevice and and hold down on the second link and select copy. This is the link that says add to outlook. Then on your iDevice go to settings-mail-add account-other-add subscribed calendar. Hold down on the server field and tap paste. Then tap next. In the Description box type the name of your calendar and then tap save. Leave all the other fields alone. You can repeat this for all the yahoo calendars you wish to view on your iDevice. Open your iDevice calendar app, tap the calendar tab and your calendar(s) should now appear under Subscribed. This will allow your view your yahoo calendar(s) on your iDevice. Now if you wish to add appointments to your yahoo calendar open safari and go to m.yahoo.com tap the three bars in the upper left corner of the mobile web page and tap sign in. Use your yahoo id and password to sign in. After signing in tap the three bars in the upper left hand corner again and scroll down and tap more. Tap Calendar. At the bottom of the screen tap the box with the arrow in it and select at to home screen. Name it if you like and then tap add. Now every time you want add an appointment to any of your yahoo calendars you can open the link on your home screen. It will remember your log in. If you wish to view all of your calendars, including the yahoo calendars open the native calendar app. This workaround requires the use of two methods one for entry one for viewing, but at least you can access all of your calendars. You can also view your yahoo calendar(s) from the home page link but I dont like the layout on the yahoo mobile page so I just use that for entry. Hope this helps until they figure this one out.

Adding new field to the page when the field source not available

I have a requirement to add vendor_serial_number (manufacturer's serial number) to the page /oracle/apps/csi/instance/general/webui/InstanceDetailsPG. This column is available in mtl_serial_numbers_all_v table. I don't see any VO in that page has access to this. What is the best approach to add this field in the page.
Create a new VO with the query to get the vendor_serail_number based on the item_number, serial_number.
Attach the VO to the AM InstanceDetailsAM or create a new custom AM as we can't attach the new VO to the seeded AM.
Add a item to the page that gets the column value from this new VO.
Please suggest.

3. Extend the InstanceDetailsCO and attach the VO to AM programatically in the extended CO.

I am unable to default LOV field in Create and Update page in OAF.
I tried in below way :

But I am getting developer mode exception, so please guide me how i can set the default value for create and update page instead of using code in process request method in controller.

1) In case of create, you can default the value either in EOImpl or in AM while initializing the row:

Adding Digital Signature Fields to Multiple Pages in a Document

Hello,
I have a batch processing java script which will place digital signature fields in a drawing.
Sometimes the drawing could have multiple pages and the script needs to place the digital signature fields onto each page.
The problem with the script I have is that the digital signature fields are only appearing on the first page.
Can anyone please provide assistance with modifying my script so that the digital signature fields appear on every page?

Tho there's no point in signing each page in the same document, tho I also see engineering folk do this. They just love signing every data sheet.
And the result will not be good. Each signature will cause a problem/alert for the previous signatures.

I found one document on how can I add Nationality and National Identifier Fields in iRecruitment Pages Using Personalization, so it gave me an example so when he was personlazing
"Basic Details” he was giving some parameters which I don't know the source of it :

• Select the item style as “Message Choice”. _(what's the difference between this type and others in LOV)?_
• Provide a unique “ID”, for example: Nationality.
• Provide: “Picklist Display Attribute”, for example: Meaning

Newbie and floating fields

Hi, I'm a newbie to LCD and I'm currently working with LCD as apart of my job... I'm currently working on and XDP that has floating fields defined within the document, i.e. {floatingfield} however within my XDP there is a piece of text defined as %signature% does anybody know what the %'s indicate/mean?
Is there any useful guides for a newbie to LCD.

Adding pages and picking up existing CSS

I am working with a one page sales letter web site that I had someone put together for me in Dreamweaver. I want to add some content pages to it to beef up SEO. How do I pick up the CSS from the first page and apply it to rest of the pages? I have defined the site in a folder and added the additional pages there. thank you, Mel

In between the <head> </head> tags, insert:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="../your/path/to/stylesheet.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
...making sure that the href points to the correct file path to your CSS stylesheet.
