  • Basic Dates and Scheduled dates

    Hi Team,
What is the basic intention of having two dates ( Basic dates & Scheduled Dates) in Process/Production Order.
If we reschedule a order in APO PPDS the scheduled Dates in the Process Order ( In ECC) gets changed but not the Basic dates.
Once we Release the order then system carries out the rescheduling of the Order and the Scheduled Dates gets copied to the Basic Dates.
This creates a discrepancy between the dates appearing in MD04 and the dates appearing in Product view of APO PPDS.as MD04 always copies the Basic Dates.
What is the logic behind having this Process......?.
    Regards,
    Rajesh Satope.

    Rajesh,
A simple solution for this could be that in SAP R/3, scheduling parameters for Production orders for the Plant/ordertype combination activate "Automatic Scheduling" and also define "Adjust Basic dates". This means when ever the order is saved it would perform a scheduling and the basic date would get adjusted as per the scheduled dates.
Coming to your query on difference, generally the basic dates in R/3 are derived based on the Inhouse production time defined in the material master of the material Plus the FLOATS defined in the schedule margin key which is assigned to the material MRP view.
Scheduled dates are derived based on the operation time schedule of the order.

  • Calculation of basic dates and schedule dates

I update material master from routing with CA97 to material master
work scheduling data with base quantity 1000
When MRP running, planned order for 54000 PCS is schedule with work scheduling data.
when i schedule planned order (change)
the calculation basic date & schedule date differs for 19 days
    cause basic start shift
    why is this happend?
is this cause by rounding when transforming minute from routing to days in material master?
is this because i used shift sequence and scheduling with breaks?
    some strage case again is
for base qty 1000 processing time is 0.97
for base qty 10000 processing time is 6.93
is there any solution for this case?

    Hi,
Yes. The schedule date is generated considering your factory calender also in addition to the routing data. For eg.. Suppose if Saturday and sunday are holidays, the schedule date will be extended to 2 days.
Pl. check the  unit in your routing for the second query.
    Pl. refer the link

  • Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date

    Folks,
I have a requirement from the business to be able to update the Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date independently from each other.
In other words, update the Basic Finish Date and the Scheduled Finish Date cannot change or update the Scheduled Finish Date and the Basic Finish Date cannot change.
I believe the reason for this is to be able to use the Basic Date to maintain the ATP accurately and keep the Scheduled Date to mark when the order was originally due from the shop floor to be able to measure if orders are being completed on time or late.
I have worked in tnx OPUZ and had some success with other issues with these dates but I can't seem to make them work independently from each other.
Or does anyone have any ideas how to measure proces order performance to the production schedule?
    Thank you for your help,
    Greg

Rajesha, thank you for your reply but it doesn't solve my problem.
    Let me restate my scenario:
I start a process order and both the basic and scheduled finish dates are the same, June 1.
At some point, shop floor tells me they will be late and cannot deliver until June 15.
I need to update a date in the system so the ATP and the MRP planning runs have correct information for promising customers, I will update the Basic Finish date with June 15.
I also need to keep the original June 1 date in order to measure the shop floor performance to the production schedule to measure how early or late the  order was delivered. How can I keep the original finish date or how can I measure if a process order is early or late??
    Thank you for your help,
    Greg

  • How to stop scheduled ship date and scheduled arrival date from defaulting to sysdate

    Hello,
We have a business scenario where we are deriving scheduled ship date and scheduled arrival date outside and then imported in the instance with the order. However we find that the scheduled ship date and scheduled arrival date are defaulting to sysdate. The atp flag is set to N for these items. I have checked the defaulting rules, there is no such defaulting rule set for scheduled ship date or arrival date ( screenshot attached) Please share your thoughts on how can I stop scheduled ship date and arrival date date from defaulting to sysdate ?
    Thanks

  • Using TREX for Material master for longtext (basic data) and classification

    Hi together,
I am only having some basic know how about TREX.
We want to use TREX for quick search in Material master long texts (like basic data and so on) and also for searching in characteristic values of material master (tab: classification).
The TREX is successfull installed and It was possible for me to create an index for Material BUS1006001 in SES_ADMIN and search the material in this transaction by TREX. I also find the index in TREX_ADMIN "green".
But there I could only use the attributes of the standard business objects (for example describtion of material master = short text).
Now I want to use the long texts and the classification. What do I have to do in SES_ADMIN or somewhere else? Actually I only want to use the functionality in SAP GUI. If I know how to make the indixes I could program an own F4-Help for this in ABAP.
    Can anybody help me?
    Thanks a lot.
    Florian

    Hi Florian,
SES_ADMIN is the admin cockpit of the Search Engine Service (SES).
SES-based solutions usually include searching the long text. Just test!
SES-based solutions usually do not include searching via classification.
The successor framework of SES is "Embedded Search".
Embedded Search is available with NW 7.01, corresponding to ERP 6.04. For details see SAP note 1254901
Classification is supported by Embedded Search with NW 7.02, corresponding to ERP 6.05.
ERP 6.05 is in unrestricted availability since summer 2011.
If the customer can not upgrade to ERP 6.05, there is a preliminary SES-based solution for searching via classification.
The solution can only be provided via SAP PLM consulting.

  • Authorization for Basic dates and Forecast dates

    Hello colleagues,
My customer requires is to have separate authorizations for using Basic dates and Forecast dates within WBS Element, Network and Milestone.
Iv'e noticed that the rellevant autorization object to have this separation is C_PROJ_TCD ; field: PSARG ; activity: 111 & 112. However I wonder if this is relevant to all related objects  in the project or only to the Project definition object.
If the answer is only to PD I will be glad to have an idea how to controll it within the other objects .
    Thanks in advance

It is for all the objects... but you can not control it on basis of only that auth object.
    For network,
    use object :
    C_AFKO_ACT
    and activity 22 Display dates
for Project def and WBS, use
    C_PROJ_KOK, C_PROJ_PRC, C_PROJ_VNR
    C_PRPS_KOK, C_PRPR_PRC, C_PRPS_VNR

  • Basic start date and scheduled finished date...can we have Planned date?

Is there any "Plan Start Date" in SAP, the date where scheduler must put manually in the system to determine the "committed" date for the work to be executed - based on earliest and latest start date which automatically calculated by SAP?
Our plant must keep the Basic Finish Date unchanged since it is the Required Date of the Work to finish.  We found that the Plan Date does not change and I was wondering if there is any way we can have the Planned date on the order header or have the basic finish date unchanged?
    Appreciate your advices

    Hi
As per your query screen variant is the better option to be choose so that here you can go with user id based restriction
    Attaching the complete the scenario

  • Basic dates and production dates in planned order

    Dear all,
I have a planned order (for material A) which has "order finish date" same as "End of production date".
I have another planned order (for material B) where "End of production date" is eariler than "order finish date".
Scheduling margin key is same in both the cases.
Why they are different? Can you please help?
    Regds.,
    Chaitanya

    Dear
Please Check in the MRP 2 And SchedMargin key it defines the floats
    SCHEDULING MARGIN KEY
Takes effect only for Lead Time Scheduling
    Configure scheduling horizon OPU5
which lead time scheduling and capacity planning should be carried out. scheduling horizon is the period in working days. If a planned order has its basic start date within this period in future, lead time scheduling is carried out using the selected routing.
The production times are calculated from the float times of the scheduling margin key in the material master record and the time from the individual operations.
If the planned order has its basic start date further in the future than this scheduling horizon, the basic dates are calculated from the in-house production times in the material master and are transferred to the production times

  • Basic dates and production dates

    dear all,
    i have made a PIR using MD61 for 01.04.2010,
after that, i run the MRP using MD02 to make the planned order, so when i open the MD04 tcode, the planned order has been created for 01.04.2010 too...
the problem is when i convert that planned order to production order, when i check the finish date of the production order, it has been change to 02.04.2010, why the start dates and finish dates changes in the production order???
    best regard,
    MARUFAT

    Hi,
i have check in OPU3, the schduling type is backward, and the automatic scheduling is tick
i also check in MRP view, the scheduling margin key is 000 so there is no float time problem, and the GR processing time is 0,
i run the MRP RUn MD02 using planning type 1 using basic dates
but when i convert the planned order into production order, the finish date always change,
so, if the finish date in the planned order is 01.04.2010 , after i convert into production order, the finish date change into 02.04.2010
what makes me confuse is that the scheduling time is backward, but why all the finish date of the planned order after i convert to production order change into +1 days after the finish dates ??
can you help me to solve this problem?
    regard
    MARUFAT

  • Exposing a J2EE Web Service ... How to configure Date and Time parameters?

I'm exposing a class that actually utilizes a Toplink Facade to perform transactions with a database. One of the parameters one of the service methods accepts is of type java.util.Date which translates into an XML type dateTime. I also have two fields that are currently being accepted as Strings and then parsed to determine the time. Is there some way that I can define the types in the WSDL to be a "simple" date format (i.e. YYYY-MM-DD) and time format (i.e. HH:MM:SS) and have them translated automatically via the java-xml mapping file generated with the web service?
    Thanks!
Edited by: shaunduncan on Mar 23, 2009 7:12 AM

I've found a workaround using Strings and parsing using both manual parsing and SimpleDateFormat.
    Ex:
    Dates: YYYY-MM-DD Format
    Times: HH:MM:SS Format

  • Basic date is not same with schedule dates

    Hi,
I have a problem in MD04 stock requirement list.
Planned order basic date and schedule date is not the same.
The schedule date finish at year 2010 but basic date still end ad 2009
in MD04, the date display is basic date.
Why the basic date is not adjusted?
in configuration i had choosen adjust basic date in scheduling planned order.
In material master in house production time is not updated because we use lead time scheduling
    Please kindly help
    Best regards,
    Freddy Ha

    Hi,
i omit the scheduling maergin key in material master,
    the result of MRP is
    BASIC DATES
    Finish 15.10.2009
    Start 14.10.2009
    PRODUCTION DATES
    15.02.2010 14:33:25
    14.10.2009 07:00:00
scheduling type i planned order is still "backwards"
so in MD04 it is say that the goods is available at 15.10.2009 same with requirement dates.
    this seem not right.
it seems that order finish date is not adjusted by lead time scheduling on "today scheduling".
Is there a way so order finish date is adjusted by lead time scheduling on "today scheduling" ????
    Best regards,
