Floor stock For Project

Dear Friends!
We require a report where in we can see the value & qty of all the components issued to project.
In our present scenario we are maintaining project stock, for a particular project, at say two storage locations 0001 & 0040.But once this material is issued to project for consuption etc. it is not traceable.
The report must show the opening floor stock for a period (ie material issued to project for consuption but not yet consumed): The received qty n value for the period & the final qty at end of month( ie opening + recieved- despatches from project) .
Any help with above issues wud be of gr8 value,

Hai,
Please verify if thos logic works....
Assume you have two periods Period 1 and Period 2.
Assume you are taking report for Period 2.
Report should have three columns
Stock in Project :: Material consumed :: Material recvd.
Stock in project = Materials available in Project stock and corresponding stnd price from Material master of each material.
Material consumed = Materials missing from the project stock as compared to period 1 project stock. Assuming you are not allowing any cross project transfers.
Material recvcd = Materials with GR posting date in Period 2.
For 2nd column data...
We should populate all materials from Proj stock table in to a Z-table and compare Z-table values and Proj stock table at end of each period. Whatever materials are missing are consumed.
Please discuss with your ABAPer..

    We have a scenario where in we are required to create a production order for a project.
    But the material(raw material) is in a storage location and is a stock item. Even the header material is also a stock item and it to stored in the storage location.
    But the order is to be created for Project and to be settled to the Project. Now the system is not allowing me to create the order.
    The error is :
    "Project  does not allow make-to-order stock
    Message no. CO746
    Diagnosis
    There is no project stock for the project.
    To create a production order with reference to a WBS element the project must allow project stock to be maintained.
    Procedure
    You should select a project that allows project stock."
    Now,
    I don't want to have a project stock. How to go forward...

    Hi,
    What is the strategy you are using. If you are using strategy 20, then chnage it to 40.
    Also maintain individual/collective indicator to "1" - individual in MRP-4 view. So that when the order is created, the stock will be reserved as Q-project stock.

  • Moving avergae price updation in material master for project stock

    Dear All,
    My query is pertaining to updation of MAP( moving average price) for project specific procurement ( as project stock) for valuated project stock.
    As  definelty the cost of procurement gets consumed by project .but i want to know does the project stock procurement still updates the moving avergae price or not.
    Ex:-Suppose MAP in material master is 10 USD ( with qty 1)and i procure the same material ( qty 1)for project with account assignment Q for 9 USD . now will the MAP in material master becomes 9.5 USD or it remains 10 usd.?

    Hi Amit,
    If your Project Stock is valuated, then, the valuation data for it is stored in a different table: QBEW.
    The normal, anonymus warehouse stock (the unrestricted use stock which is not assigned to any project or to any sales order) has its valuation data stored in MBEW.
    The "Accounting 1" view in the Material Master MM03 ONLY displays the data of MBEW.
    In the material master you will never see the valuation data of the valuated project stock (table QBEW) or the valuated sales order stock (valuation indicator "M" - table EBEW).
    The valuation data for the tables QBEW and EBEW can be seen in SE16 or in the transaction MBBS.
    Also note that these valuated special stocks are managed independently of the normal stock. If, for example, you change the Moving Average Price of your normal stock in MBEW, this will not have any influence on your project stock, as the data is under a totally diferent table QBEW.

  • Moving Average Price for Sales stock and Project stock of a material

    Hiya Gurus,
                     I am developing a report to display inventory details. My requirement is that I have to display the Moving average price of a material for all Valuation type. I also need to display the Moving average price if a material has got Project stock or Sales stock.
                     In MBEW table I can get the Valuation type and its Moving average price, but how can I find the moving average price for the same material if it has got Sales stock and project stock. Please let me know the table and field where I could get the relevant data.
                    Kindly help me on this, it would be deeply appreciated.

    Hi Gurus,
    While doing MIGO for non stock material in case of projects, system is crediting account from WRX in OBYC with blank valuation class. but how can we give different GL for projects in this case.

    Its upto you if you want maintain material master record or not for non valuated material. With material master you have a material code to input in the field of PO, without material master you put in short text.

  • Account determination for project stock delivery (for movement type 281Q)

    Hello
    We are trying to carry out delivery for project stock (CNS0) using  movement type 281Q.
    We notice that there is no account modifier availalbe for this scenario resulting in error during PGI. However, we can do PGI after changing the config of account determination without account modifier.
    Since working without an account modifier is not acceptable for various business reasons, we must have an account modifier defined. We are wondering why SAP has not provided a standard solution for dealing with project stock delivery.
    Can any one please suggest how to deal this situation.

    We have business requirement as stated below:
    We need to procure materials for specific Projects but also want to track the stock for the Project by value in the invnetory. In other words, the encumbrance of the procurement needs to take place against the Project but we want to be able to take it into inventory as a valuated stock and issue to the WBS whenever it is required.
    Is this possible?  What we know is that as soon as we give reference of the WBS for the Procurement, it gets expensed to the Project and we cannot value manage in inventory.
    The reason for this requirement is there is a long time between when the item is procured and when it is used for the project. Till such time we have to track the Project items in the inventory as any other stock but its still tagged for the project and encumbrance would need to have happened
    Any ideas on how to deal with this will be appreciated

  • Manual reservation for Project Stock / wbs element

    Dear Gueus,
    In Project base Industry,
    For Production order confirmation I want to transfer Project stock of raw Materials from Main Storage stock  to Production WIP stock,  from this WIP Stock,  I will consume raw mtl at the time of Order confirmation.
    Now at the time of Manual Reservation in MB21 system is not allowing  311 Q  Mvt type  for Project stock reservation.
    Is there any other procedure / t- code to reserve project stock.
    Pl guide me for the same.

    Hi,
    A word of caution, before processing any mass transactions such as COHV etc, its always better to double check the data. Reason is because the program performs mass update & any reversal would be a time consuming process.
    Now for mass confirmations of orders via COHV
    1. Execute COHV, in the first screen, select Order Headers, specify the order numbers in the field. If you have saved the list as a text file, then click on multiple selection & click the green icon at the bottom right corner, specify the file & the orders will be read.
    2. In the tab - Mass Processing, select confirmation for the field Function & if you want to execute immediately, then select the same in execute function. Depending on your rqmt, you can have the log & also output the logs.
    3. Click execute or F8, then select all the orders & then click on the mass processing drop down icon & click execute. The processing begins in foreground. Once the processing is done, system puts out a log showing the once which were confirmed & the once which were not able to be processed & the reason for the same. (For background processing, select the same in mass processing tab in the selection screen).
    Please note, for order confirmation to take place the status has to be REL, also if any user status is active, check if the same allows confirmation.
    I would strongly suggest, first try in your sandbox server & once you're familiar with its processing, then proceed to use in production system.

  • How to consider unrestricted stock for the run of MRP project?

    Hi every one!
    We are facing a problem using MRP on project stock.
    We would like that the MRP takes unrestricted stock into consideration while calculating quantities to order for project stock.
    For example, a project request 100 pieces of material X.
    We have already 25 pieces of material X in unrestricted stock and 0 in project stock. 
    When I run MRP (MD51), it creates a Purchase Requisition of 100 pieces on the WBS element I have defined and not 75 as expected!!!
    By searching in documents and forums, I have read I have to set the value "2 - Collective requirements only" into the field MRP4 > BOM explosion/dependent requirements > Individual/coll. of the Material Master.
    I have done it but it doesn't change anything.

    Hello guys!
    As told, here I come with news about my problem.
    Finally, the Strategy Group didn't solve our problem.
    We didn't solve our problem as planned but we have found another way to work.
    Instead of including the unrestricted stock in the MRP project, we use transaction CO46 to have an overview of the unrestricted stock of all the components of the project's BOM.
    Based on that overview, the user can make stock transfers of the available quantities from the unrestricted stock to the project stock.
    I hope it can help people having the same problem!

  • Moving Average Price does not get updated for Project Stock

    Hello Experts
    We have an Engineer-to-Order implementation for our client. Accordingly procurement is done per project. Each Project issues its PRs which are then converted to POs and recieved into Project Stock.
    While assigning the material to the Network activity in Project (using material component) the system uses the price found in the material master (MAP or STD) as a planned cost appended to the project.
    Problem:
    while procuring the material, when we receive it into Project Stock (Mvt 101 Q + ) the Moving Average Price in the material master does not get updated. this way all newly created material master will never have a moving average price, thus whenever we try to assign them to the project we receive an error message (Cost for Material Component ###Mat.Num### cannot be determined.
    Question:
    How can I get the system to update moving average price (for all types of stock) based on procurement for project stock.???

    Case:
    The T-code is CJ20N Project Builder in PS module
    we are assigning material components to network activities under a certain WBS element in the project.
    there is a function in the Project Builder to calculate the cost of a network. it uses the costing variant assigned to the network which is PS02 (We get the error here)
    The costing variant has a valuation variant which lists a series of strategies  to get the material price. Planned 1 if not then STD if not then MAP. (you can choose between many options via a drop down menu) you can choose 5 consequent options.
    The MAP that the valuation variant is coded to get is the Plant Stock MAP -- Or the Project Stock MAP but only Per WBS element.
    The MAP that the Actual postings update is the Project Stock MAP only Per WBS element.
    This means that if you use a material component to purchase material 123 Acc.As. Q for WBS X for 10 $ then you try to assign a new material component with the same material 123 to WBS Y, the system will not get a MAP. because it's stored in QBEW per WBS element.
    This way the system will never get the MAP right.
    However, we don't always use project stock to procure for projects, for some requirements we can assign and use plant stock as well for Projects. that way we need the MAP from plant stock.
    In the Valuation Variant you can use a User Exit Strategy. The user exit's name is COPCP005
    My Suggestion is:
    Use the User Exit COPCP005 to calculate the { Total value / the total quantity (MAP) from QBEW + Total value / total quantity (MAP) from MBEW } / 2
    which is the MAP for both plant and project stock together, since that we are going to use both.
    Q: Is this correct !?

    I am trying to post goods receipt for a Purchase Order which is created for project stock.
    When I am enter P.O. no. in MIGO and press enter, i receive following message.
    "Purchase order 8000009614 has no items"
    "Message no. M7033"
    Is there anything which is missing in project system. are any thing else.

    1. You are choosing correct options in MIGO screen (some times plant field will pop up next to PO number which may be different from that used in PO)
    2. Check GR indicator has been ticked under delivery
    3. Also check PO has been released and no version has been generated then after.
    4. Check PO is already goods receipted. Check the status tab in header.

    Non stock material is consumed during receipt ie Goods receipt is goods issue also and you need not do goods issue seperately. Non stock material cant have category Q as it is Project <i><b>stock</b></i> category. The account assignment should be P.

    Hi Srihari,
    Any valuated material type can be purchased directly to consumption (project, maintenance, etc.) or first purchased to stock and then issued from stock charging the corresponding object (project, maintenance, etc.)
    You purchase to consumption using a PO with account assignment category (AA categories K, Q and E are a bit special - there you purchase to stock, but special stock). You purchase to the (general use) stock using PO without AA category. The receipt (101) goes to stock (and stock account). Later when you want to use your material for a project, use trs MB1A (or MIGO with "goods issue" option) with mvt type 221 (or 261 if you don't use SAP PS system, but handle projects as "internal orders"). To issue material charging a PS "network", use mvt 281. To issue to PM order use mvt 261 and to issue charging a cost centre directly use mvt 201.
