Floor Stock Management - Movement Type 312 & 262 RFCs

Dear All,
For testing reasons, I transferred Stock from SAP ERP (IDES ECC6.0, no EHPs, Configuration Type A) to SAP ME (Base 6.0.2.0) with both Movement Type 261 and 311. I defined a Floor Stock Location 0001 for this purpose.
According to ME help, I should be able to return those movements via 262 or 312 respectively as far as ERP is concerned. In ME then I set the Reason Code to both RTN- codes which worked fine for returning 311 items (I got maintainInventoryRequests each) to their original stock location. So far so good.
Issue 1: Collaboration for return worked fine, however, I then got INVCON02 IDOCs (as opposed to the INVCON02_INV_PEG ones MII received originally for booking 311&261 movements), supposedly sent from SAP ERP. MII declined those saying "No workflow defined", as it is the case. My question here is: What are those IDOCs about? Do I require them? Can I switch them off?
Issue 2: As for returning 261 movements, which supposedly should be triggered from SAP ME I do not get any kind of collaboration when trying to return those to available stock. Do I require a special reason code? Is the business logic different from my thinking (returning items moved via 261 should be returned to available stock in SAP ERP when returning them in SAP ME)?
Any Ideas? Help highly appreciated
Cheers, Stefan

Hi Atisivan,
In SAP there is planned material movement and there in unplanned material movement. System allowes any number of movement when you do unplanned goods Movement. this may be to provide for stock adjustment during stock count. but when you click on reference order. then system checks the reservation against the order and will do only planned goods movement.
If you still have above production order in system you can check the documented goods movement for each posting you have done. and you will see that the 1000 posting what you did will be considered in unplanned posting.
however, it is advised always to use with reference to while you are doing a goods issue or reversal.

  • BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE with a movement type of 262

    hi:
when  I do a goods movement using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE with a movement type of 262. If I supply the reservation number it creates the material document with a movement type of 261 ignoring the 262 . why ?

    Hi,
Check if GM_CODE in the import parameters is set to "06" for the reversal movement type. If not, please set it to 06.

  • TRs are not being generated in Movement Type 261/262

    Hi Gurus,
I am perfoming several material documents with movement type 261/262 and I don t know why in some cases the WM tab is generated without TR with only a storage bin.....so we don t have the possibility to take the TR and transform it into a TO....I have checked the configuration of the movement type in SPRO WM and everything seem to be OK, as usual....Any clue on this?
    Many Thanks!!!!

Q1 : If I perform 261 in MIGO or in MB1A in a WM warehouse which It has NOT activated the PP-WM interface. the behavior will be the same ? - Yes, because selection of storage type and storage bin is from the control cycle which plays a major role if control cycle is not defined then system accepts standard 914 as destination storage type if control cycle is defined then it ignores standard SAP value and pick the storage type and bin from the control cycle.
Goods Issue w/ref. to the PP order will be created without TR and to a storage bin in Storage Type 100? and on the contrary, - Even if you do a Goods issue w/ref and control cycle is not defined then at the time of production order creation system update reservation table with blank entry under warehouse / storage type & storage bin  and once you will do the MIGO for this system will consider 914 as storage type
if the control cycle is define then the value in RESB will be like below screen
if in this example I generate a 261 as Goods Issue Others the WM tab will have Intermediate Storage Type 914 and it will have a TR number?? ---Since this is without reference in the MIGO you will not find the Reservation tab and system will go with Standard SAP (914) storage type

  • Movement type 261/262

    Hi All,
Good issue to production using movement type 261 or 262 (Consumption for order from warehouse).  Question is Can this transaction block the material to be issued if it is not in the BOM?  If can not, is there a way to block the material to be issued if not part of the BOM.
    Thanks.

    Let me give an example.
Product material 10005 has BOM material A, B, and C.  Production Order 12345 is created for that material 10005.  Material A is not configured as a backflush, where as B and C is backflush.  I am focusing in material A.  Material A is issued using MIGO, good issue, others with mv type 261.  In the selection under Account Assignment, there is a field "Order" which is entered for the Production Order #.  The problem is if the material A12 which is not part of the BOM is entered instead of material A, the system does not reject.  It is the same if using mv type 262.  This will cause an issue in the reporting.  Is there a way to prevent the system not accept the wrong material that is not part of the BOM?
    Thanks.

  • Available Stock - MD04 - Movement  Types

    Hi All,
I find it difficult how system calculates the stock quantity in MD04 transaction.
Can this Available stock quantity be interpreted in terms of movement types ?
for example like a difference between receipts and issues in MB51
    (Movement type 101 + Movement type 102)  - (Movement 601 + Movement type 602)
    Please advise.
    Meghna

    Dear,
I have not understood your question, As I understood my answer is as below
the stock what you have is the stock available as on that date in the plant(what you see in MMBE, unless otherwise any of the storage loc is not covered under MRP)
To see exactly how this figure is achieved, got MMBE and place the curser on the plant stock and follow the menu path
    environment -->material movements....
you will get all the movement type which contributed for this stock.

  • Post to Returns stock with movement type 632

    Hi all,
I have configured SD Customer Consignment for my client. When consignment goods come back from the customer Movement Type 632 is used en the goods are posted in unrestricted use. My client want these goods to be posted in the Returns stock. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Movement type 651 posts to the Returns stock. Where is teh actual setting made that this movement type posts to Return stock. Can anyone explain to me how this works.
    Thanks in advance.
    regards,

Have tested your scenario- Just now.
Though you can change the mov type in sch.line cat, but it acts like as normal return scenario, so you will be loosing the track of Inventory available @ Customer as part of Consignment.
Still, if you change the mov type, you will not be able to perform PGR for Consignment Returns in VL01N,its becasue that, special stock indicator-W in item cat:VOV7.

  • Sales Returns Stock posting using movement type 651

    Hi Experts,
I want to upload the sales returns stock using movement type 651. Because, our existing company code 'xxxx' has been changed to 'zzzz' and all the stocks, balances and so on has been uploaded and carry forwarded to new company code 'zzzz'.
Now, I stuck with the customer/sales returns stock. Also, I know that there is no accounting effects with the movement type 651 i.e., blocked stock stored in customer rejection storage location.
I have tried lot but I didn't get the solution for the same.
Kindly share some ideas to upload the sales returns stock.

  • Return item to blocked stock (Movement type 531)

    Hello. I have a question.
In my Bill of Material, I have an item with a negative quantity; this is so when I confirm a Production Order, the component, instead of being backflushed (MvT 261), instead, it is returned to stock with Movement Type 531.
My question is, how can I determine that this item is always returned to Blocked Stock instead of Unrestricted Use Stock?

If you maintain negative quantity in BOM, then system will post 531 movement type only when you confirm the production order.   If you want to post that stock to blocked stock always automatically it is not possible.  You can activate 04 inspection type.    Then stock will be posted to quality after Goods Receipt.   From quality you can change to blocked stock.   This is one way to shift to blocked stock.
If you want to post 261 movement in production order while confirmation you activate back flush option in MRP-2  view of that material master.    Then while confirmation automatically 261 movement is posted by the system.

  • Movement type to consume customer consignment stock in the delivery plant ?

Need MM Functional expertise help to resolve the issue
    They are two plants associated
    1. Deliverying Plant (Customer Consignment Stock) ---> FPP
    2. Recieving Plant (Vendor Consignment Stock) ---> FNT
Recieving Plant (FNT) will send a consignment Purchase Order (P0) to the delivery plant (FPP), which
inturn delivery plant FPP will do post goods Issue (PGI) with movement type 635 {635 --> moves
    the stock from sloc 1000 to customer consignment stock}
Once movement type 635 is completed, it will go customer consignment stock in the delivery plant FPP
    So Far OK..
Recieving plant (FNT) will recieve the stock against movement type 101K into Consignment location, followed
by movement type 411k (to move the stock from consignment location to OWN location).  Once its under OWN location,
the inventory can be utilized for service orders (261)
    Issue:
Not able to find a movement type to consume customer consignment stock in the delivery plant FPP
Note: 1. 411k is used to consume vendor consignment stock
    2. Both plants are in different company codes
Following OSS notes has been checked, but none is addressing the issue
    1. 520024
    2. 610896
    3. 362032
    4. 13006

Customer consignment stock is consumed physically by a customer, the customer reports to you how much he has consumed, the delivering plant creates then a consignment order for consignment issue in the delivering plant, followed by converting it to a delivery and posting goods issue.

  • Error in Standard SAP movement type 309?

Path: SPRO > Logistic execution > Warehouse Management > Interfaces > Inventory Management > Define

IM Movement type 309 has as Reference Movement types WM 301, 302 and 309.
IM Movement type 311 has as Reference Movement types WM 311, 312 and 309.
Path: SPRO > Logistic execution > Warehouse Management > Interfaces > Inventory Management > Define
Movement type > LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management

Reference Movement type 302 has WM Movement type 302.
Reference Movement type 309 has WM Movement type 309.
Reference Movement type 311 has WM Movement type 311.
Reference Movement type 312 have WM Movement type 312.
Path: SPRO > Logistic execution > Warehouse Management > Activities > Transfers > Define Movement

WM Movement type 309 has Source and Destination Storage type 922.
WM Movement type 311 has Destination Storage type 9210.
WM Movement type 312 has Source Storage type 921.
In my opinion this means that if I make an IM movement with movement 309 the material will be picked from a Storage
bin and moved to Storage type 920. After the change the material will be brought back from Storage type 920 to the same Storage bin.
The change will be done with WM Movement type 309 in Storage type 922.
This creates negative stock in both Storage type 920 and 922.
In my opinion this means that if I make an IM movement with movement 311 the material will be picked from a Storage
bin and moved to Storage type 921. After the change the material will be brought back from Storage type 921 to the same Storage bin.
The change will be done with WM Movement type 309 in Storage type 922.
This creates negative stock in both Storage type 920 and 922.
Is this an error in SAP standard? Should I Change the Source and Destination Storage types of Movement types 301,302,311 and 312 to 922?

    Hi,
Please check wheather the material type of the material belongs to NLAG/UNBW or any other type which will not have qty/value updations for that plant at Attributes of the material type at SPROlOGISTICS GeneralMaterial mastermaterila types
Or take the question  mark which is there on the error screen so that the information will become self explanatory.

  • Reference movement type for transfer in warehouse mgmt

    Hi ,
In the warehause management system,  IM movement type is link to WM movement type.
Maintenace veiw V_156S_WM ( Table  156SC ).  IM movement type 321 has three reference movement type in WM.
    396 , 397 , 321 .
Again  through table T321 ( veiw V_T321 ) reference Mvt 396 is  link to 311 in WM , 397 link to 312 in WM and 321 to 321 In WM.
If i perform 321 movement in IM , then how the system will determine unique reference movement from table
    V_156S_WM ( Table  156SC ) .
    Thanks
    Sanjay

    Hi,
The stock tsf ref mvnt type in V_156S_WM(-UMRBL) is:
Reference movement type for transfer in warehouse mgmt
Reference movement type for the second transfer in the Warehouse Management system.
    Use
This reference movement type is necessary when a goods movement (stock transfer) in Inventory Management causes two transfers in the Warehouse Management system (stock removal from one storage type and stock placement in another).
Inventory Management movement types that do not initiate any activity in the Warehouse Management System have the reference movement type 999.
The ref mvnt type in V_156S_WM(-RBLVS) is:
Reference movement type for WM from material movements
Reference key for determining the movement type in the Warehouse ManagementSystem.
    Use
Each Inventory Management movement type that is relevant to the WM system is allocated to a reference movement type, with which the system determines the corresponding movement type in the WM system.
Using the reference movement type, you can group together Inventory Management movement types that result in the same movement in the WM system.
Inventory Management movement types that do not initiate any activity in the Warehouse Management System have the reference movement type 999.
    ...sorry, basic help text.

  • Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 647/ / / /L/ /

    Guyz,
Firstly despite the plant+storage location + warehouse no. assignments are done , my replenishment delivery (delivery for stock transport order between plants under same company code) is not picking up storage location and warehouse no and thus stopping me from doing picking and PGI (post goods issue).
However in VL02N when i'm trying to change storage location for line item, i'm getting following weird error
    *Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 647/ / / /L/ /*
I found a SAP Note(133223) regarding this error and VL02 transaction but that note was specific to older versions. I'm on ECC 6.0
    Any suggestions please ?
    Thanks

Warehouse managment has its own movement types, most identical to inventory management movement types.
These WM movement types are determined via reference movement types.
the error you have just looks like your customizing is not complete.
IMG > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > define movement types.

  • IM movement type

    Hi Experts,
I am getting a error while creating a TO from PCN in LU04.
This error is coming because both source data (mat, plant, stloc, stock cat ) and destination data (mat, plant, stloc, stock cat ) are same.
I checked and i found that this pcn is being created for 311(IM) and 309(WM) movement type.
In omlr table there is no direct assignment of 311(ref mov type ) to WM mov type.
So why this PCN is getting created for 311 movement type ?
But in "Assign WM Movement Type References to IM Movement Types"
Here 311 mvt type is assigned to 311(ref) , 312(stock transfer) and 309(transfer posting).
So please somebody help me to understand this assignment.
    Regards,

Your settings are OK, this practically means that if you use IM mov.typ.311 that your TO for stock transfer will use mov.type 312 in WM and that your WM movement type in case of posting changes will be 309.
What is basically the issue? Can you show the screen with the message?
There is no need to perform a posting change if you don't change anything, so it's not logical that you need one.
Who is actually creating this posting change in IM?
This person or program actually need to specify movement type for posting change.
Default is 309 in IM too but you can do it without problems with 311 too.
I have used both mv.types in my RF transactions using BAPI-s, and they both
work fine by standard IM/WM reference settings.
If you could provide more details I could be able to help more.
