FLV after publishing issue
All of the students in my class are having the same issue with our embedded videos. We are creating tutorials in Captivate and many of us have embedded video. After publishing the captivate file we are getting this connection issue. Our instructor is saying that it is some sort of security issue? When opening initially we are getting a "flash has stopped a potentially unsafe" blah blah blah. She had to go to global settings and then always enable but it isn't working every time. Hoping to find out more details so our class can make sure we're embedding video correctly since so many of us are having the issue. Thanks in advance. Here's a screen capture.

Application publishing issues after temp profile usage
We haven't figured out the solusion to this issue but we do know the cause and a workaround for it that works, kind of...
A brief description would be that after permission issues for some users roaming profile storage on the fileserver application publishing and several applications fail in a different way for different users. This is due to the creation of C:\Users\TEMP,
TEMP.DOMAIN etc folders rather than using C:\Users\Username folders. The issue seems to be that App-V 5 client remembers this temporary folder in a way that we havent figured out yet, all references to the temp folders for each users account UID in the
registry has been removed and the roaming profie was deleted locally and on the fileserver YET app-v remembers the path C:\Users\TEMP and tried to create shortcuts etc there without success --> the packag then failes completely and dissapears from the client/powershell
Get-AppvClientPackage view as if its not even published to the user.
The BIG question is how the "#¤/&¤ can you get the App-V client to forget about the C:\Users\TEMP foders and retun to the users correct folder? We have tried to remove all user accounts UID from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AppV\MAV\Configuration\Packages
etc and also the users profiles so this data must be stored somewhere else. The issue is local to specific XenApp servers, if the temporary profile wasnt created on a server the issue will never appear there.
The workaround is that all users with the issue have full access to the paths C:\Users\TEMP and C:\Users\TEMP.DOMAIN folders, however when app-v generates shortcuts in that folders we'll need to manually move them to the correct path so that they are
available to the users, smooth!
The environment is based on 4x Windows 2008 R2 server with citrix XenApp 6.5. App-V 5 SP1 RDS client is installed and configured to use a single publishing server "Add-AppvPublishingServer -Name SERVERNAME -URL
http://FQDN:8080"

(we think) Some users had the follow error since they couldn't access the faulty profile path TEMP or TEMP.DOMAIN:

We noticed thet the user DOMAIN\user had a TEMP.DOMAIN profile path due to faulty permissions on the profile store and that this path thoug its fixed was stil configured in the AppV part registry according to below.
Since this key is global to the server and not bound to the user account it wasnt removed with the user profile, we tried removing the specific keys manually where the user account UID occured without any change to the problem. The removed keys werent
regenerated in the registry though.
The specific user account SID uses TEMP.DOMAIN paths (\Users\TEMP.DOMAIN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AppV\Client\VFS) for two String Value names "TargetLongName" and "TargetShortNamefolders" in the following key (and others):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AppV\MAV\Configuration\Packages\04ADC3E8-E368-4B95-98AF-F53A625070CD_C248B175-B174-41F5-A4D6-62835CF86519\UserConfig\S-1-5-21-XXXXXXXXXX
As mentioned the UID keys "S-1-5-21-XXXXXXXXXX" did not reappear UNTILL we manually created the folder C:\Users\TEMP.DOMAIN with full permissions for the affected user. Once this folder was created App-V recreated the registry keys "S-1-5-21-XXXXXXXXXX"
with the correct \Users\USERNAME\* values however the icons for the applications was distributed to the C:\TEMP.DOMAIN\Desktop folder and since the users desktop is accually in C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop none of the icons was visible to the user.
Another user had similar issues but with the java plugin for internet explorer failing without error messages, once that user got access to C:\Users\TEMP.DOMAIN the user was again able to run java.Cheers,
Ended up putting in some workarounds.

Are the folios published as Public? Are the folios free or retail? If retail, did you create an in-app billing Product ID in Google Play that is an exact match for the published folio? Is the "Title ID" you specified the same account you used to create the folios? Did you turn on Strict Renditions when you built the app?

Error message when trying to view calender after publishing
After publishing my calender I get an offer to send email to invite viewing/subscribing. The email goes through but when I try to follow the link to view I get this error
We're sorry but we cannot find the iCal you've requested.
It's possible that it has been deleted or renamed.
I have tried unpublishing and signing out and then back into MobileMe - both after the suggestion of the chat support for MobileMe.
Any help would be appreciated - would be very handy to have co-workers be able to view my calendar.

Common issues for this :
1. Once you install crystall add on ,you need to go to Crystal report Administration >Account setup .
Put on the user name and password and click on creating ext tables
Try then running the report .
If not the case ,
make sure you install runtime .
You need :
1.Crystal report basic from SAP download -(Not necessary if you want only report viewer >
2.You need to have crystal integration addon (I think service pack is SP1)
3.Make sure you have runtime install
When you are installing ,make sure you restart your PC before you do or remove temporary file s

Captivate 7: slide with mouse will not auto advance after publishing
After I export my Captivate video, any slide that has a mouse object on it does not auto advance. I suspected that maybe the clicking sound file default attached to the action may have become corrupted, so I opened the sound file attached to "single-click" from Captivate. In the VisualClicks folder, there were no sound files. So, I opened the ClickSounds folder and attached the Mouse.mp3 file to this action. After publishing the training, the slide still will not auto advance. The slides that do not have the mouse action advance automatically as they should. The sound file may not be the issue (going to try to uncheck all of the Mouse Click Sound check boxes and republish to see if that helps).
Was hoping to find a solution for future videos.
Each slide is basically a layer of audio > slide > png file > the occasional smart object and/or text > mouse. I have no quizzes or video.
When publishing I use the following setup swf/html5 with swf + html5 checked and scalable HTML content checked. We use Google Chrome and I've had numerous people try my HTML link after I've uploaded all files and everyone has the same issue.
1- Do you happen to know why the mouse action would cause the slide to not auto advance, and if so please let me know a solution so the user doesn't have to click next. If the mouse itself isn't the culprit, any other suggestions on what could cause this?
2- Is there a way to make changes to the audio or override the mouse properties on all slides? I tried right clicking and "use the current mouse pointer for all slides" but it didn't change any of the properties. Thankfully my video is only 110 slides or it would have been even more painful.

For the record, I did create a new project with only two slides to try and duplicate the issue. I had the same problem. I unchecked the Mouse Click Sound check box, republished and the slide auto advanced. I'm wondering if a default sound file was somehow moved or deleted? I discussed uninstalling and reinstalling C7 onto my laptop, but that's a frustrating solution haha -
Hyperlinks are not active online after publishing??
For some reason, the hyperlinks don't all function on the website after publishing. It does not seem to be consistant - not a problem with a particular page or all hyperlinks. When I try to adjust the hyperlink in iWeb, there's no problem with it there - they all function fine in the design. Any suggestions on how to be sure the hyperlinks work when published to the website? Thanks!
I don't seem to have a "problem page". I've read in a few other feeds that there may be a problem with overlapping text boxes. I'm working on that right now to see if that will resolve the issue.

Quicktime Thumbnail missing after publishing
I'm using iWeb '09 3.0.1. to build my website. I've got lots of quicktime videos. I used the Inspector to select a thumbnail for my Quicktime clips, but after publishing the clips just start in black. I've had this problem since I first built the site last year. I thought with the latest version of iWeb it would be resolved. No go. I'm having other issues like most of the videos not publishing, but I'm going to try a clean publish later tonight after I delete all the current files and folders from the host site. In the meantime, any suggestions on the thumbnails?

As Roddy pointed out others have had problems with the poster frame feature in the Inspector/Quicktime pane. What's the URL of your site so we can see first hand what you're referring to.

Reinstalled 1.0 after publishing nightmare- worth upgrading to 1.1.1?
I had endless problems getting my site published, and could not get anything uploaded despite following lots of the advice on these boards. I was having to use a work around and using homepage.mac.com (cheers for your help with that James!), which was great for getting online but a nightmare when I wanted to update anything.
Anyway, in the end I deleted iWeb and reinstalled it from the start up disk. After reading that there weren't the publishing problems with version 1.0, I decided to upload our site from there. So now I have a site at web.mac.com, and it's really easy to update now.
My question to others that have had publishing issues is- is it now worth installing the upgrade to 1.1.1? 1.0 seems to be working well, and I miss out on a couple of features I guess but I can't have them if my website won't upload anyway! Or now that I have my site up and running will it be easier to upload now? I want to set up another site too soon, if I upgrade should I set up the basis of the site now so that I will only be doing updates and not uploading a whole new site?
Has anyone else found that uninstalling then reinstalling AND upgrading to 1.1.1 has helped their publishing issues?

Audio cut off after publishing
Hi,
We are currenlty experiancing the following problem with
Captivate.
For E-Learning purposes we import Powerpoint into Captivate
after which we add a voice over to each individual slide. After
publishing one of our captivate movies we noticed that the audio is
stopped before the end of the slide.
We checked the timing in the captivate file itself but there
is even 1 second of silence added after the audio stops, so there
should be no problem. When listening in Captivate to the audio, the
problem does not occur.
FYI. When importing the Audio file into Captivate we select
the option to extend the duration of the slide to the duration of
the audio file and we do not use fade in and fade out of the audio
on the slide.
Can somebody help us with this issue???

ErikI am having a similar problem. I recorded a tutorial with
audio at the same time using an external mic. After I published,
the audio would play through about 5 slides then it would just cut
out. I'm not sure what you mean by add one second of silence to the
end of each slide - If I do that it will mess up the audio that
goes with the tutorial. Is adding the one second the only way to
get the audio to play consistantly? Would it be different if I
added the audio afterward?

After Publishing we have missing album art
Hello,
After publishing our iTunes U Public site last night, I came into the office this morning to find that about 90% of the album art on the Provider page is missing. The album art does appear on individual Collection pages.
I do all the work on a desktop but our video people upload videos to 9:00 pm. I had taken my laptop home and published it there at night. Would this have caused an issue?
I also now see that I no longer have access to the Public Site Manager. I am still listed as the Primary Administrator but do not have full access. There is a list of people who can do edits and my name is listed there but does not have a pencil icon.
How do I get my rights back as the Public Site Manager? How do I have the album art show up?

DJI have found that scrolling through the album list (past albums without art) triggers the progress wheel next to the wifi symbol. You can scroll quickly through the whole collection and then wait! Artwork will appear gradually...
However, repeat visits to the Music App might initially show no artwork again, but it might spontaneously appear more quickly this time. The bad news is that the whole Music App is now sluggish as ****... -
Hyperlinks are not functioning after publishing
I am running iWeb 3.0.4 and am publishing to my host site through GoDaddy.com. The hyperlinks work fine in iWeb itself, but after I publish the site and then go to the site to check it, some hyperlinks work, but most don't. It appears to be very random which hyperlinks are working and which are not. After Enabling hyperlinks in iWeb and checking the box Make hyperlinks active, I am choosing to Link to > One of my pages. All seems to be in order but again, after publishing the site, only some hyperlinks work but most do not. I have tried modifying little things in iWeb to see if it will help upon publishing - over and over and over again - but to no avail. I cannot stress how irritating this problem is, not getting the site to work after publishing!!! UGH!
I've seen other posts regarding this issue and still have not found an applicable solution or at least one that is fixing my problem. Any other suggestions? Because of your help I have been able to most of the hyperlinks to work now, but still not all of them. Still seems like I have to do some tweeking and moving around some of the text. I can't believe how inaccurate and inefficient iWeb is!
Anyway, Cyclosaurus - is there any way to shrink the size of the Canvas element so that I don't have to keep adjusting the text just to get the hyperlinks to work?

Captivate shuts down after publishing
Has anyone experienced Captivate shutting down after
publishing? This keeps happening to an instructor, and I'm not sure
of the solution. Is there a preference that I'm not aware of?

examine the path you are publishing to. I seem to recall that this
issue can also appear if your output path is too long.
For example, if your current path is:
C:\Documents and Settings\Rick Stone\My Documents\My Adobe
Captivate
Projects\Cap2InstructorRollovers\Captions\Assets\WonderfulProjects\ThisWonderfulProject
Try moving it closer to the root, as in:
C:\CaptivateProjects\MyProject

After publishing I can no longer see the poster frame on QuickTime
I cant figure out why after publishing to the web (MobileMe), I can no longer see the poster frame on the QuickTime movie that I made. When I publishing to a folder on the mac to check my results I can see the poster frame, so it is only happening when i am publishing to the web. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening or have a solution?

ChrisYou cannot delete this icon as its preinstalled on the iPhone. You may have inadvertently moved it to another page or into a folder. I would suggest you look on all the pages and in all folders or alternatively do a search on your iPhone. It will at least tell you if they are still there but unfortunately not where. You could also do a home screen layout reset settings>general>reset>reset home screen layout.

Purchase order message Re-determination after goods issue is posted
We have a requirement to trigger special function message type (which creates a flat file) in a purchase order when goods issue for all items are posted. We have created a requirement routine for message type to check if goods issue is posted for all line items. Goods issue is posted using BAPI which uses transaction MIGO. When goods issue is posted, we want output to be triggered in purchase order. Requirement is working fine but is there any way to trigger output automatically without going to PO?
After goods issue is posted, if we go into purchase order using ME22N then we see output proposed or if we make any changes in PO then output is proposed. This will not happen in real life though.

Grouping Seasons of the same TV Shows together
Is there a way to group season of the same TV Show together. iTunes/Apple TV does a great job of grouping episodes into seasons, but they do not group those seasons into one show.
