FLV File support in PE7 Trial Version?

I just downloaded and installed PE7 Trial version. My main interest in this version was to be able to edit .FLV video files. I've noticed in some reviews PE7 is able to upload .FLV files to Youtube. Well the trial version doesn't appear to suport .FLV files for editing. The trial version install procedure mentions that not all features of PE7 are included in this install. My question is does the full PE7 version support editing .FLV files?

You can not import and edit FLV files in PE7, it will only export to FLV. It can import and edit SWF files. If you want to edit FLV files you will need to convert them to another format, ideally DV-AVI. You could do an internet search for a free converter (there are a few) or purchase one.

  • Are .FLV Files Supported in RoboHelp?

Are Flash Video (.flv) files supported in RoboHelp 7, or do
we still have to use other types? I tried inserting one into a
topic page just to see, but noticed that the .flv file type isn't
in the "Files of type" drop down field.
    Thanks.

At present, this is correct. You can upload and download .swf and .flv files like all other files. Creative Cloud has additional functionality around certain file types that enables you to view individual layers (.psd) or artboards (.ai) or pages (.pdf, .indd) directly in the browser. We will be adding additional capabilities like this for other formats in the future.

Thanks for your suggestions. I checked to see if the options you suggested were set incorrectly but they were set to sync all. This led me to think the problem was actually in the iphone. I re-initialized the iphone and did not allow the system to restore any of the previous settings. In essence, I forced the phone to reset to factory settings. Then my video podcasts started syncing. All is well now. I did notice that I had seven podcasts selected that were "HD" presentations, and as such, are not compatible with the iphone. I don't know if this had anything to do with my earlier situation, but now I'm getting the video podcasts automatically. I'm happy. It wasn't much fun forcing the iphone to forget all of my preferences and I'm still customizing the phone now several days later. I think I have everything working and back to normal except I haven't identified any of my email accounts as of yet. Thanks for your help.

  • I accidently created files using a Free Trial version of InDesign. Now the files are gone. Where did they go? How do I get them back? I pay for this service...

I accidentally created files using a Free Trial version of InDesign. Now the files are gone. Where did they go? How do I get them back? I pay for Creative Cloud... but used the wrong login apparently.

Files you save don't disappear, even if you no longer have the software that created them. They're right where you saved them.

  • Trouble opening PMD files saved in PM7 Trial version

Hey I am working on an update project bringing some PM5 files up to InDesign. I have InDesign CS (ID3.0) and I used the trial version on PM7 to convert the PM5 files to PMD (I also tried P65) but they don't want to open in InDesign CS. It says there may be a plugin missing or the file may not be compatible. Is this related to the fact that I saved them using a trial version or what else should I try? I have a 6.5 license, but it won't run on Windows 7. I would upgrade if I knew that would solve the problem. I have no other use for Pagemaker other than to port these files to InDesign.
    Thanks,
    Ben

Have you tried running PM in an earlier Windows version, using Windows 7's compatibility mode?

  • Can't able to open CP (ver 5) file in Captivate 7(trial version)

    Hi,
I have .cp files, I think those files are from Adobe Captivate 5.0 or 5.5 version. I downloaded trial version of Adobe Captivate but those files are not opening in 7.  Is there any way I can able to open.
While opening .cp file, its giving error like below screen. Can anyone able to guide to open file in captivate 7?? or any converter avaialble?
also, I seen some forums where it says there may be hidden file but I didn't get it.

Only way is to try to get somewhere a copy of 5.5, as an intermediary step. And even then, converting a cp to cptx will need a lot more work. The remake was very drastic, text may shift or change fonts, you have to be sure that everything was AS3 (because CP4 still allowed AS2), question slides, animations will almost certainly cause problems. I really don't know about another way, sorry. After all we are talking about a time lag of more than 4 years, 4 versions (5, 5.5, 6, 6.1) have come and gone since, which is very long in software land

  • On my new Imac, I had the trial version of Pages, and saved some files in it. Now I have purchased the full version from Apple via a download, but I cannot save or print the old files, please help!

On my new Imac I saved some files on the free trial version of Pages, since downloading the full version from Apple, have been unable to save or print from old files saved when using the trial version. Any ideas? Thank you!

My guess is the 30-day trial period has expired but you didn't remove the trial before installing the full version. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his iDisk in For_iWork > iWork '09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

  • FAQ: What are the limitations of the free, 30-day trial version of Premiere Pro?

The free, 30-day trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and earlier lacked many of the most useful and popular codecs,  including codecs for MPEG-2, AVCHD, and RED media. This meant that  people had a hard time evaluating the software for real-world use.
    Not any longer.
The trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5, and later includes all of the  codecs that are included with the full version of Adobe Premiere Pro  CS5.5. This means that you can import and export to all of the supported  file formats using the trial version.
See this page for more details about the trial version.
For lists of formats that you can import into and export from Adobe Premiere Pro, see these pages:
formats that you can import into Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5
formats that you can export from Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 through Adobe Media Encoder
formats that you can export directly from Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5

There are no limitations for 30 days, it will work exactly as if you have a subscription. But if you don't get a subscription, after 30 days, you will no longer be able to launch the program.

  • Software to convert 23.976p FLV file to 60i NTSC DV file? (3:2 pulldown)

I have a Flash video file that has clearly been deinterlaced from an NTSC video source using a reverse of 3:2 pulldown. I want to go back the other way to re-create the 60i original (which can be done exactly using 3:2 pulldown).
I tried MPEGstreamclip to simply convert it to DV and checking the boxes for "interlaced" but that's not what it's done - the result is effectively 29.97p - some fields are simply duplicated making the output look progressive.
The reason I want to do this conversion is to enable more accurate transcoding and frame rate conversion of the FLV file into other video formats, eg converting it to PAL.
Is there any Mac software that can do this conversion - or even FCE itself - and as I have only 3 files to convert, each a few minutes long, and I don't want to spend real money doing it.
    Thanks for any tips....
Message was edited by: Brendan Jones

I solved this myself - Adobe After Effects can insert and remove 3:2 pulldown in various video source file formats. A "trial" version which is fully functional can be downloaded for free from Adobe, and works for 30 days before you need a serial number.
As I only had the 3 files to convert, this was perfect. So there you go.

  • NW2004s ABAP Trial Version  - using 2 SAP-GUI'S

    hi there,
i just download the big files for nw2004s abap trial version. it includes sap gui 6.40, and i have the following problem:
we have sap r/3 4.6c now and on every client (also on mine) we have sap-gui 620 installed.
for 4.6c i still have to use sapgui 620 as i want to be on the same level then all the other users.
can i use BOTH sap-guis on ONE pc ?
    regards, Martin

I do understand, and my answer comes from my culture at my company. Sorry for that.  All of our users are on sapgui 6.20(not sure about patch level),  I always have the latest SAPgui version/patch level,  at this point 6.40 sp 22.  I have not seen a gui problem in some time with the users on 6.20, but when I did, you could usually tell that it is a gui problem by the behavior and/or ABAP short dump.
I understand your feeling about being on the same level of your users, so I won't suggest that you install the 6.40 version.  So, that said,  you will not be able to use the NW2004s system on your machine with your SAPgui 6.20 version.  And I believe that you can not have more than one instance of sapgui.  When you install sapgui 6.40 it will uninstall all previous version of the gui.

  • Trial version of Photoshop CS6

Hi, I am learning how to edit face images for a psychology experiment using the trial version of Photoshop cs6. I've made some alterations and saved my files. Does the trial version have any restrictions when you save? i.e., can I work on these images in the trial version and then further edit them in an older (non-trial) version of Photoshop? Thank you.

You definitely can. All Adobe product trials are 30-day fully functional, except for Captivate e-Learning Authoring - on which the exported files are active only for 30 days from export on trial mode.
However, whatever work you do with your trial version, however, cannot be used for commercial purposes according to your user agreement (EULA) with Adobe.
But, if it is the validity of files you're talking about, no need to worry. Your files will remain 'as is' when you license Photoshop at a later point in time.

  • Adobe Captivate 5 Trial version

    Hi All,
I just downloade the Trial version of Captivate 5 and have a few questions about it:
    1) What is the maximum lenght of full-motion recording in Captivate 5 ?and is 1024 x 678 the maxium size that can be exported in F4V format ?
    2) Are the project files (.cptx) created with the trial version valid and remain valid for the duration of the trial version only or are they valid indefinitely ? What I mean by this is can I use the .cptx files created with the trial version with a licensed version I buy later on or with a trial version that my colleague is using ??
We are currently evaluating this product. I would appreciate a detailed response to the above.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jason

The trial version is the same as the fully licensed version, you're not missing out or being restricted on any features. I'm looking into the length of a FMR recording, I know that the slide length maximum is 599 seconds. So if you record with FMR for 14 minutes, you would have 2 slides, one at 599 seconds, one at the other 240 something. I imagine it has something to do with the amount of RAM you have installed on your computer. But I'm not sure. I'll look into it...
As far as the CPTX extention, that is just the new file extention for CP5. To answer your question, Yes, the projects you build with the trial version will still be usable once you activate it. However, you cannot go back to a previous release of Captivate (Like Captivate 4). Captivate 3 or 4 projects can be upgraded to CP5 files.

  • Can't install Photoshop Elements 11 licensed version because of trial version

I can't install Photoshop Elements 11 licensed version because of trial version that is still on my computer and is not being completely uninstalled.  The intended folder to install has some files remaining from the trial version, and this prevents the licensed version from installing.  The intended folder from teh installer is Program Files (x86)/Adobe, but that has the trial version still there, which will not completely uninstall.

    Hi Steve,
Are you getting error message while installation.
