FLV not found
I have created a site using flash and action script, the site
loads diferent swf files with images and text content. One of my
swf files contains a SWF player component that links to a FLV file.
When I test the files locally everything works fine. I have
uploaded the files unto a server and when it's time to play the FLV
it doesn't load. Using the Activity window in safari I see that the
FLV cannot be found. I have checked the server and tried simplyfing
the name, the FLV is up on the server. any reason why it my swf
can't find it when it's actually there?

Perhaps the local test was done within flash environment not
browser and the browser
unlike local arrangement has multiple level directory. Say
html load swf from different
folder and video from yet another one.

I really need some help please!
Here is a step by step of what I've done:
Created a folder on my desktop. Copied .mov to this folder.
Created a new flash file (Actionscript 3.0, CS3). Saved into same
folder on desktop. Used Import Video to import .mov file
(Progressive download, etc). Video imported fine. I tested the
movie and all looks good. So then I published. I checked out the
publish previews and all look good!
So next I took my folder from my dekstop and all it's
contents (.mov, .fla, .flv, .swf, skin.swf, .html, and .js) and
uploaded to my ftp. When I go to the site nothing shows up and it
says there was one error opening the page. So then I looked at the
activity and it says the .flv is not found. But I checked AGAIN and
the .flv is in the same folder as the rest of my files.
Am I missing a step? I am very new to flash and I can't
figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help? Should I be
posting this in another forum?

is set to display the FLV format.

Firefox will not show links to flv files. I get the error message for each flv file: "File not found. Firefox can't find the file at http:// (path) .flv." Any mov and swf files in this same path will show. I can see the videos in Safari so the paths are correct.
Is this a webpage that contains a link to a flv file? Please post a link to the page and tell us which link(s) are the problem flv files or else post a link to the .flv file itself.
Alternately, click on one of the sample FLV File links on this page and tell us exactly what happens:

Depending on how you have Firefox set up, clicking on a FLV File link will either save the FLV file to your computer or Firefox may open it automatically in an external application right after downloading (Firefox may ask you first). Firefox itself can't play FLV files so you need a "helper" application (or a plugin for flv files, if ther is one. You can see if Firefox is already set up to download or open FLV files by going to Firefox Preferences and looking in the Applications list. Installed but not found on computer
I've successfully installed the latest 10.1 for my 64-bit laptop with Windows 7. A check by Adobe confirms that it was properly installed, and that I have the correct version for my computer.
AND YET, there is no icon for it anywhere, it doesn't come up on my list of Programs, when I enter "Adobe Flash Player" in the search bar it shows no such program, and when I try to play a FLV file, it won't give me Flash Player as an option. So..... I have it on my computer, but I apparently am not allowed to see it or access it?
I've uninstalled and re-installed several times, and cannot for the life of me figure out what the problem is. Any help for this maddening situation?Hi,
Yes, I read his comments and I made sure Shockwave Flash Object was enabled in IE as he suggested. I am trying to make a flip book. One of the posts here in the forum said to make a SWF file, which I did. But now I can't figure out how to do anything with it. I thought Flash Reader was the right program to look at it, but maybe I'm wrong? Maybe I need Flash itself? The flip book thing has me pretty frustrated and confused. All the sites and software I've tried are poor quality. I was hoping I could figure out how to do it through Adobe to get better quality.

Hi, Flash Player is a browser plugin, not a stand alone Player. You should have Shockwave Flash Object in add ons in IE and make sure it is enabled.
Your Flash files are in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
You may want the Adobe Media Player:http://www.adobe.com/products/mediaplayer/

Hello everybody,
I am able to embed the strobe player on a web page and play flv videos. However, if I don't let the videoplay through and refresh my web page, then I am getting "We are unable to connect to the content you've requested" error.
When the video is played all the way to the end, I can replay it without any issues.
When I set the verbose value to true, I am getting Stream not found null error instead,
It seems to me that the strobe player can stream the video from server when it is not found in local cache. If the video is not cache completely in local machine, strobe player will display "We are unable to connect to the content you've requested" error.
Is there a setting in Strobe can resolve this issue?
The flv file is loaded on Windows Media Services 2008.

Can you provide a link to the video? You can PM it, if you want to keep it secret.
You might want to raise an issue at http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/ST . It will allow us to prioritize and investigate it easier.
p.s. Optimize initial index works with MBR streams, you don't need it. -
Client returns server not found:rtmp://192.168.10.1:/live when accessed from another pc
Hi there. Please i have a small LAN of about 8 computers all of which are running windows 7. I have installed FMS and XAMPP webserver on one of the machines. I want to stream live from one PC to all the other PCs on the LAN. I have a webpage with jwplayer embedded in it on my XAMPP webserver that is able to see the live stream when i start it locally. I mean the live stream works fine on the machine with the servers on it. But when i want to view the live stream from another machine in the LAN by accessing the webpage that has the jwpalyer from another machine, The jwplayer returns "server not found:rtmp://192.168.10.1/live" error. I was thinking that maybe a firewall is blocking the 1935 port but i have turned off the firewall of every PC on the LAN. I have unistalled any antivirus program on all the PCs. But i still get the same error when i try to access the live stream from another PC on the LAN.
When i run netstat -a -n|find ":1935" i get 192.168.10.2:49184 192.168.10.1:1935 SYN_SENT and i think the request for the stream is sent but the conection is rejected.

This page is able to view the stream on my local machine but it wouldn't work on the other machines on the machines. Is it not possible to stream over a LAN or what? OR What am i not doing right. I have been able to create a great quality video in FLV format and post it to Youtube. But I need to export a standalone version. When I choose Windows Media as the format and then export, I get "Exporter not found"
Any solutions?Some users have found that MS WMEncoder does a good job. It is a free download from MS.
As for why your CS3 cannot find a WMV Exporter module, it could be a corrupt install. My first act would be to do a Repair Installation, in hope that it would be repaired. Otherwise, the WMEncoder might be the way to go.

Adaptive m3u8 file not found when Apache location /hls-vod httpstreamingcontentpath changed
I have set my FMS 4.5 to host hls-vod content in another location on the server F:\media. This is the change I made:

I can successfully stream a file from hls-vod/file.mp4.m3u8. But I cannot stream a set level. m3u8 like from hls-vod/file.m3u8. I get a file not found even though the file does exist. I can get the the stream to work if I place the set level .m3u8 file in the Apache webroot.
1) Does Apache not recognize the m3u8 file format when location change is performed? what can i do to make it recognize this file?
2) Why does the dynamically generated m3u8 file work, but not the pre-generated set level m3u8 file?
3) Can the httpcontentpath use a set level m3u8 file?
4) Based on this FAQ http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2338. I know that changing the location blocks progressive download access to the files, does this have anything to do with this?
5) Ideally I would like users to place the set level m3u8 files in same location as the video file. Is this possible?

thanksokay, i'm fixing this by setting the document root to where the media is located f:/media and then changing the htaccess to restrict access to certain file types. I block mp4, flv, and f4v, to block download but i allow ts and m3u8. It works but my only concern is the performance hit by allowing htaccess in sub folders. I don't think it will be a big deal. thoughts.

Item cost not found for one or more items - Inventory Posting
Good Day Mentors,
My user has encountered an error during Inventory Posting and its "Item cost not found for one or more items".
The specific Message ID from SAP's System Message Log is 10001287.
I found a similar post which addresses this error here.
But unfortunately it did not help me solve my user's problem.
I already checked if the items had a defined "Item Cost" in the Item Master Data Inventory Tab, and they all have "Item Cost" defined.
I'm not sure if this will help, but below is the Inventory Audit Report of one of the items that is throwing the "Item cost not found" error.
I am not a business consultant neither am I literate in accounting, so thanks for the patience.

- Is the "Manage Item cost per warehouse" selected in the Basic Initialization Screen?

- Is the "Manage Inventory by Warehouse" ticked/checked in the "Inventory Data" tab of the "Item Master Data" screen?

Anyway, the database only has one warehouse at the moment.
I've checked the items, like the item in the screen shot above, and it does have an item cost.

itunes wont open at all, error message : quicktime was not found .... please reinstall ... i did that but no luck this only seems to have happened since the 10.4 update, im on windows 7 ..
Can you start QuickTime on your computer?
You'll probably have to search for the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and use it to remove QuickTime Player and iTunes. Then download and install the iTunes again. -
I was updating Firefox to the newest version 7.0.1 from version 6.0.2 I think it was, I clicked the restart Firefox button that always comes up after updating. It started updating and then Firefox never restarted like it was supposed to after it was done updating. I then tried to open Firefox and it told me "This application has failed to start because xul.dll was not found." I did have Firefox crash on maybe about 30 minutes or so earlier which bothered me because I have been using Firefox for years and never had it crash on me before but I didn't think much of it at the time it happened because I was able to go back onto Firefox and finish what I had been working on. A while later I checked for updates and updated. The first time I tried to update it didn't work though so I had to shutdown Firefox and reopen Firefox and start the update a second time. It was after the second time that when I tried to open Firefox I got that message about failing to start because xul.dll can't be found. I filed a crash report when my Firefox crashed. This would have been around 1am-2am in the morning that Firefox first crashed and then wouldn't allow me to open it after updating. I have a DELL laptop running the Windows XP operating system but the laptop is probably at least 6 or 7 years old. The laptop will no longer charge so I always have to have it plugged into an outlet. Both my laptop hard drive and my external hard drive give me messages that I am running out of disk space on my hard drive. I bought this laptop 6 or 7 years ago second hand so it could be even older. In short it's a piece of crap and it gives me all kinds of issues but I currently can't afford a new one, but I have never had any problems with Firefox and I use Firefox more than any other aspect of my laptop so it's really really bothering me. May you please help me fix it?
Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?

JBO:33001 bc4j.xcfg file not found in class path
Hi,
I am yet another victim of the age-old error JBO:33001 bc4j.xcfg file not found in class path, When i have my BC4JApp.jar in Tomcat Web-inf/lib directory. All the other jar files and class files in my webserver-application web-inf classes and lib directory works.
But Tomcat server is not able to read this bc4j.xcfg file. I can see in my jar file that this bc4j.xcfg exists and in the specified package directory. still the problem persists. My BC4JApp.jar is perfectly working when i use JDeveloper. but not when i use tomcat4.0 and call a JSP using BC4JApp.jar from browser (My environment is Jdeveloper3.2, Tomcat4.0+IIS in middle tier and oracle 8i as DB, everything on windows2k)
I have gone through almost all the threads possible that relates to this error in this form. None of them have a answer except to say "put the file in classpath". and last reply is "will fix in jDeveloper 9i. So what happens to us who are working in Jdeveloper 3.2?
1. I have this file in my jar file.
2. I also tried creating a seperate directory manually, with the same name as my package under web-inf/classes, web-inf/lib , just under web-inf directory and atlast under approot directory also. I tried having my package directory containing bc4j.xcfg in these folders one at a time and also tried having this directory in all these folders at the same time.
Still no solution.
Itz frustrating that neither proper documentation nor a right url page nor i am aware of available addressing this. page links given in above threads only gives me the wonderful page of ie's "Page cannot be displayed".
Is there a answer to this error and my problem. If this doesn't work, then i have to all the way develop from scratch creating my jsp using JDBC calls and Stored packages etc.
I don't want to give up on this Jdeveloper at this final moment because if this bc4j.xcfg file is found, my application will work perfectly. on these final moments, if this doesn't work, i am frightened to imagine to develop my application in standard way. Atlast, if thatz the option left,we have to do that bcos our production date is close by.
Please can some one in this forum or Jdeveloper help me to solve this problem. I am desperate and very urgent.

For those who are following this thread, I got a solution for this error with the help of Jdev Team.
This solution may work, if you have deployed your application in Tomcat4.0.1. This is the environment in which I work and tested.
As you may be aware, Tomcat ignores value in CLASSPATH variable.
To see any files that are existing or newly deployed, it has it own way of detecting it.
Addition information on Tomcat working, you can follow this link,

Coming to point, Tomcat has got five classloaders and each classloader invoked, looks in their related directories for files in following order.
1. /WEB-INF/classes of your web-application
2. /WEB-INF/lib/*.jar of your web application
3. BootStrap classes of your JVM (Tomcat's $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/ext)
4. System class loader classes($CATALINA_HOME/bin/bootstrap.jar,CATALINA_HOME/lib/tools.jar)
5. $CATALINA_HOME/common/classes
6. $CATALINA_HOME/common/lib/*.jar
7. $CATALINA_HOME//classes
8. $CATALINA_HOME/lib/*.jar
So All your individual application related files should be deployed in your application's WEB-INF/classes or WEB-INF/lib directory accordingly.
If your application files are unpacked, they should be deployed or copied under WEB-INF/classes directory
if the files are within a jar, they should be under WEB-INF/lib directory.
If your Jar-files contains bc4j components, then those jar files should be deployed under WEB-INF/lib directory. Also,do the next step to copy all relavant BC4J runtime libraries under lib directory.
IMPORTANT: Please remember to copy and paste all the required BC4j runtime libraries in the Same WEB-INF/lib directory along with your application jar files. This is the real reason which can solve this JBO:33001 to disappear. It worked for me.
To configure your directory for tag-lib uri's, use web.xml to set the taglib-uri attribute.
Put your web.xml and DataTags.tld in the WEB-INF directory.
Your simple web.xml may look like as follows.

Sometimes, only this helps even though your context's reloadable attribute is set to true in Tomcat Server's server.xml file.
Hope this above information helps you to solve this error in Tomcat environment. My Sincere thanks once again to Juan and Jdev team for their help and efforts to solve this problem.

Error: "file not found" when try to display image on report
Dear All
I have a problem when running my report.
My Table emp_info Stores all data about employees in addition to the employee image path.
I made a report that display employee information including its photo.
I run my report passing the parameter p_emp_id to display the desired emploree information.
I made a field on the report to display the employee image
and i set its property READ FROM FILE = YES and FILE FORMAT=IMAGE
But the following error occurs
"File '\\iai3\iaigc\ALL\emp_images\51.JPG' not found. "
I'm sure that the path is correct
But i do not know why the report stops and can not read the image path.
My platform is:
Oracle application server installed on linux
and oracle report builder installed on widows for developmentDear aweiden

I belive you are right . I think the problem is in the path.
But there is something that i did not mentioned to you. I work on two different servers.
1- "iai2" : Linux server which contains oracle application server.
2- "iai3" Windows 2003 server which contained oracle database 10g and the folder "aigc\ALL\emp_images" which contains Employees images
I think that the problem is that Linux server can not understand the path "\\iai3\iaigc\ALL\emp_images\51.JPG".
Do you have any idea how the path should be changed so that Linux can recognizes it.
