FLV not playing from in directory

We placed all our FLVs in a "video" directory so users can find them on CD/DVD if needed. (Our immediate goal is a CD, will be online later this year.)
When publishing a SWF/htm, Captivate makes copies of all the FLVs and places them at the root.
Just for fun I deleted all those copies, published as an EXE, burned to CD. No video play.
How can videos be linked from directories?

Unfortunately Video Management only works with Slide video. Specifications request FLV so the user can inititiate play controls instead of auto-playing the video.
I'll offer it as a trade-off.

SWF created in CS4 Flash does not play from web server

I published a Flash movie in CS4, which includes the following ActionScript 3.0 code to allow people to click the movie to open a new web page; but it will not play from the web server...however, it plays just fine from my local hard drive in Firefox and IE 7.
It is an html file with an embedded .swf and I made sure to copy over the swfObject.js, AC_ActvieX.js, AC_RunActiveContent.js, expressInstall.swf, and swfobject_modified.js files to the correct directories. The address is: http://www.giseldemarco.com/introduction.html and as you will see, there are no errors...just a blank page. I even tried changing the script from:

Hi,
Try a clean installation of the flash plugin/activeX as follows.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows, open your Download folder and run the uninstaller. After this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has reloaded, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
When the installation has completed, restart the notebook.
If the above doesn't correct the issue, then try the following.
First of all, download and run the Shockwave uninstaller on the link below.
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/shockwave/uninstall/win/sw_uninstaller.exe
After this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has fully reloaded, download and install the latest version of Shockwave on the following link.
http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
Again, after this installation, restart the notebook.

Green Pixelation on Screen, Sound not playing from laptop speakers

I just had my logic board replaced recently and I am experiencing some of the same problems as before. I am getting a random green pixelation on my screen, mainly showing in the dark areas of a picture. Also the sound is not playing from my laptop speakers, i have to tap the lower right hand side of the keyboard to get the sound to play. Also my airport sometimes gets stuck loading and the time is showing the last time i was on my laptop. If you have experienced any of these problems please help.

Return the iBook for repair ASAP. It sounds like the original repair was poorly done. You have 90 days from date of repair if AppleCare wasn't used.

Inserted FLV not playing in published files

I am trying to insert an FLV file but keep getting the following error when trying to publish:
"The Flash video can not be loaded. The output may not be proper." When I try to run the output files the video player is blank.
I am using Captivate 5.5.
The FLV file plays correctly in preview mode and also plays correctly when I play it independantly using a media player.
The file is located in the same folder as the CPTX file and the output SWF and HTM outputs.
I prefer to use the insert FLV option as it provides the playback controls which aren't available from the Insert Video option. It does play correctly using the Insert Video option.

I have discovered something really unexpected. I tried publishing to the EXE format which worked. If I then published in the Flash format it works! If I try to publish again it reverts to the old problem.
Is this a bug?

File Adapetr: File is not picking from File directory

Issue: we are facing issue with file sender adapter like file is not picking from source file directory.
Scenario: FTP1>PI>FTP2
1. SAP PI sender communication channel will pick the file from FTP1 and process to PI file server (NFS)
2. from PI file server (NFS), file will process again to FTP2
So while picking the file, it shows following error:
Could not process due to error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Error during RETR epilogue: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 451 Transfer aborted. Broken pipe
Conversion of file content to XML failed at position 0: sun.io.MalformedInputException
Processing started
this issue occur after we migrate the PI server from hpunix to aixunix.

check the FCC parameters, fieldfixedlength option would be used when the exact length of field is constant in the Sender, In the FCC the fieldfixedlength parameter carries the length of the each.

Audio for flv not playing...please help

In Captivate 3 - I have imported an flv of an avatar - the avatar motions and lips are moving yet the associated audio is not playing. When I play the flv out of captivate it works fine. Anyone experience this before, or something similar? Any thoughts, tips, or suggestions. Any direction is greatly appreciated.

Iphone 5 headphones are not playing from the left mono side. Is it covered by guarantee ?

I have noticed that the large speakers of the headphone from the left side are not playing but the small speakers on the side still work. Is this problem covered by the first year guarantee of the iphone 5 package.

From the apple's discruption I mean the sound output speakers. The left large sound output is not working but the middle is working. Is this covered by the guarantee?

Songs are not playing from the beginning of the track

When using the shuffle feature on iTunes some of the songs songs that are played do not begin from the start of the track.
Others start fine, I have no idea why this should be the case.
Can anyone please advise?

It is happening to me with synced content of various types-tv shows, movies and podcasts.

Ram preview not playing from first frame

Anyone else having problems with Ram preview playing back from a different spot in the timeline OTHER than the first frame? I have seen this happening consistently since the latest update (2014.2). I checked my preferences, and made sure nothing is accidentally selected to play from the last keyframe or something odd. But no. I am on a Mac Pro, running Yosemite, I googled this, and haven't seen anything. I haven't trashed my preferences yet, because I'm not sure it's a preference issue, and god...if I have to rebuild my render setting one more time...
So to give you more detail.
- I hit "0" on my number pad to launch a ram preview
- It LOOKS like it's rendering each frame in order
- When I hit "0" again to playback, it starts from a random location usually about 2 - 5 seconds from the beginning of the timeline.
- It will loop back and then play from the start of the timeline.
It's not using the current time indicator line or anything that would make sense. It's random, but near the start. I suspect it's pulling keyframe information from a nested pre-comp and using that, but there is not a keyframe in the comp I'm previewing.
I also do not have the "From Current Time" checked box in the Ram Preview options, and there are 0 skip frames in that setting as well.
If anyone has any ideas what this may be...I'd appreciate it.

Files not created with iTunes do not play from remote iTunes library

I hve ripped a large part of my CD collection into music files into FLAC format. I have since converted my music files from FLAC into Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC) format and imprted them into iTunes.
The files play with no problem on iTunes if they are on a local iTunes library. Furthermore, all metadata such as tags and album cover art information are properly displayed in iTunes. This is true whether I'm running iTunes on a Windows XP box or a Mac OS X box. I have since imported many other CDs into my iTunes library using iTunes to encode into ALAC.
If I share the iTunes library on my Windows XP machine to iTunes running on a Mac OS X box or to an Apple TV, I can:
*play songs that were imported directly using iTunes
*not play any songs that were not created with iTunes
This behavior is true whether I'm trying to play them from either a Mac or from an Apple TV.
If I copy the *.m4a files to the Mac and import them to the iTunes library I have no problems playing them on the Mac. I have not tried sharing the iTunes library on the Mac and tried accessing the files from the Apple TV or the Windows PC.
Any thoughts?

Fix: optimize m4a files moving the meta data to the beginning, whilst optionally creating a hint track (used for streaming m4a over Apple Airtunes).

ITunes Music Folder will not play from external hardrive after setting the correct path

I've decided to try and create some more space for my music collection and decided to keep my entire iTunes library on a portable external hardrive. I researched how to do so online and was successful at first. I set the correct path from the advanced menu so that iTunes would recognize and save music to the folder on my HD. It worked fine last night, but today when I try and access it I get the, "could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" error message when I try and play a song anywhere in iTunes. I then tried to import the library from my external hardrive and then everything was duplicated. I some how reversed the duplication by using time machine and then redownloading iTunes, which is a riduculous story in itself, but thankfully, I am back at square one.
I have over 24,000 songs with a majority of them rated as well as playlists I do not want to lose. I don't understand why it will not play the songs. Can anyone help me?

If you are going to have the library on an ext HD the transfer the entire iTunes folder. This way you capture all the files - not just the music.
Launch iTunes with the 'option' key down and follow the dialog - tell iTunes to open the iTunes library file on the ext HD and things should be ok.

Everything plays locally, but when I upload to website, the
wlecome.flv file does not play. I'm not even certain it is loading.
In the contentPath I only have welcome.flv Even when I typed in the

Iphone 4 ringtones not playing from the beginning

i've updated both my iphone 4 software to the latest one(4.1) and itunes to 10.0.1,
few days before the ringtones were fine, in which i mean ALL ringtones were playing from 0.00s(the very beginning) and everything was fine.
but then since yesterday, the ringtones/alarms simply start from the MIDDLE of the every ringtone, even the one installed by Apple. whenever the alarm repeated as i'm not switching it off immediately it silenced for a few seconds and again playing the ringtone from the MIDDLE.
i checked everything in my itunes/iphone/ringtones and nothing goes wrong.
is there anyone encountering the same problem here and what can i do?=(
